Miss Cleocatra is a one top cat with class and style but, it turns out, she doesn’t have nine lives.
The feline got ousted during episode 8 of The Masked Singer’s 11th season, which aired Wednesday, April 24.

The theme was “Girl Group Night,” and the celebrity contestants – and judges – got into the swing of things. Gumball sang “Wide Open Spaces” by the Chicks, Seal performed “Hold On” by Wilson Phillips, the Beets hit “I’m So Excited” by the Pointer Sisters, and Miss Cleocatra performed “Free Your Mind” by En Vogue.

The two contestants with the lowest scored entered a smackdown, Miss Cleocatra and Seal. Each performed their own rendition of “Waterfalls” by TLC, after which only one could stay. Cleocatra had to go.

Under the Pharaoh-styled Cleocatra helmet was Jenifer Lewis, the veteran singer and star of Black-ish. Ken Jeong guessed right.

She’s graced the Broadway, the big screen, and small. Why do The Masked Singer? Lewis used her stint on Fox’s quirky singing competition to get back into the saddle after a shocking injury from a fall in the Serengeti back in November 2022.

Trending on Billboard

Last month, Lewis told all in a sit-down interview with Robin Roberts that aired on Good Morning America, sharing the grim details of a 10-feel fall from her hotel balcony, which left her unable to move and thinking she might die.

After recovering from her injuries, Lewis was able to appear in NBC’s Night Court revival and Jennifer Lopez’s musical movie This Is Me … Now: A Love Story.

The Masked Singer enabled her to get back to what she loves. “Listen guys, I took a long break,” she told the audience after the big reveal. “And when they called I said I haven’t been on stage singing for a long time. So I said c’mon, let’s go. And it was fun, I had a blast.”

Addressing viewers at home, Lewis remarked, “do me a favor, you’re so young and you’re so beautiful. Take care of yourselves. And be loving to one another, you hear me. That’s what I want for you.”

Lewis’ unmasking as Miss Cleocatra follows one week after The Masked Singer‘s “Queen Night” episode, which saw the unmasking of Ugly Sweater, aka Charlie Wilson, and Starfish, The Office‘s Kate Flannery.

Past season 11 contestants whose identities have been revealed include Kevin Hart (Book); restauranteur Joe Bastianich (Spaghetti & Meatballs); TV personalities Savannah Chrisley (Afghan Hound), Billy Bush (Sir Lion) and Colton Underwood (Lovebird); NFL hall of famer DeMarcus Ware (Koala); and singer Sisqó (Lizard).

Two retired NFL athletes swapped one helmet for another as The Masked Singer tackled a double-elimination. Fox’s quirky singing competition celebrated Transformers night on Wednesday, April 10, but there was no party for the Love Bird and Koala. Goldfish sang “Baby Come Back” by Player; Starfish performed “21 Guns” by Green Day; Ugly Sweater hit […]

Sir Lion, it turns out, wasn’t king of the weird jungle that is The Masked Singer.
TV songs was the theme for Wednesday night’s (March 27) episode of Fox’s celebrity singing contest, which saw Clock (“Good Times”), Lizard (“Scooby Doo, Where Are You?”), Poodle Moth (“Unwritten” from The Hills), and the big cat ( “Love and Marriage” from Married With Children) belt out the small screen hits.

Lizard, for the second consecutive week, and Sir Lion accumulated the lowest votes on the night, and faced off for their future on the show.

The pair tangled with “Who Are You” by the Who, the theme for The Masked Singer.

The Lizard lives on, the Bridgerton-channeling Sir Lion is out. Under the feline mask was Billy Bush, the radio and TV personality, host of Fox’s Extra, who became the subject of international news when, during the 2016 presidential campaign, video resurfaced of him and Donald Trump engaged in a crude conversation.

“I am not a great singer,” he said during his exit interview with The Masked Singer host Nick Cannon. “If you can’t get them with the lips, get them with the hips. I like to distract a little bit.”

For viewers back home, Bush had some advice: Tackle your fears (The Masked Singer being his). “If you’ve ever done something that’s a little on the scary side — like, this is scary. I’m shaking back there — say ‘yes’. Do it. I had a ball.”

Bush as Sir Lion follows the exit of Joe Bastianich (as Spaghetti & Meatballs), Savannah Chrisley (as Afghan Hound) and Kevin Hart (as Book) in this 11th season of Fox’s quirky singing competition.

Cannon returns as host of The Masked Singer, which features the returning judges Robin Thicke, McCarthy-Wahlberg, Ken Jeong and newbie Rita Ora, who is filling in for Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger, who had a stint on London West End performing in Sunset Boulevard.

On an evening when the Piano Man’s music filled the room, it was Spaghetti & Meatballs who rolled out of the competition on Fox’s The Masked Singer.
The celebrity contestants got down for “Billy Joel Night” on Wednesday (March 20), which saw the pasta master pitted against Poodle Moth, Clock and Lizard, with the loser going home early.

Spaghetti & Meatballs dished up “Only the Good Die Young,” Clock turned back time with “Piano Man,” Lizard performed “Uptown Girl” and Poodle Moth hit “Just The Way You Are.”

Even panelist Robin Thicke got in on the action, belting out Joel’s “My Life.”

Spaghetti & Meatballs and Lizard found themselves in the bottom bracket, and in a duel for a lifeline. Both performed “Movin’ Out (Anthony’s Song),” but it was the Spaghetti Man who was moving out.

Before he got sent out of the competition, the Spaghetti & Meatballs helmet came off to reveal Masterchef judge and restaurateur Joe Bastianich – a personal friend of Billy Joel.

This man can sing and cook, though none of the judges were able to make the food connection.

“You have an incredible voice,” Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg remarked.

Singing, the TV personality explained, “is a passion for me my whole life. So, when I got the opportunity to do this and share with you all, I jumped on it.”

Bravo.

Bastianich as Spaghetti & Meatballs follows the exit of Savannah Chrisley (as Afghan Hound) and Kevin Hart (as Book) in this 11th season of Fox’s quirky singing competition.

Nick Cannon returns as host of The Masked Singer, which features the returning judges Thicke, McCarthy-Wahlberg, Ken Jeong and newbie Rita Ora, who is filling in for Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger, who had a stint on London West End performing in Sunset Boulevard.

Dukes of Hazzard actor John Schneider (whose most recent TV appearance was on the Tyler Perry series The Haves and The Have Nots) is in hot water after posting on social media that President Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden should be “hung,” later denying that he did so.

On Wednesday (December 20), John Schneider, best known for his role as Bo Duke on the late 1970s and 1980s comedy Dukes of Hazzard responded to a post by President Joe Biden on X, formerly known as Twitter. The president’s post read, “Trump poses many threats to our country: The right to choose, civil rights, voting rights, and America’s standing in the world.  Schneider then quoted it with a near-threat. “Mr President,” he wrote, “I believe you are guilty of treason and should be publicly hung. Your son too. Your response is?”, signing the post, “Sincerely, John Schneider.”

The timing couldn’t have been worse for Schneider, who was on air after being unmasked in the finale of The Masked Singer on Fox. The post was deleted, but not before many online noticed including Joe Adalian, the West Coast editor for New York Magazine who posted it with the caption: “John Schneider took off more than one mask tonight. Fox gave this guy a platform tonight. I’m truly sorry for the loss of his wife, but that doesn’t excuse calling for the public execution of POTUS.”

Visibly emotional and teary during his appearance on the show, Schneider explained that his song choices of Joe Cocker’s “You Are So Beautiful” and Dobie Gray’s “Drift Away” were in honor of his late wife. Alicia Allain Schneider died from breast cancer on February 21. Fox canceled their array of Schneider’s scheduled press interviews the morning after, but the conservative actor did speak to People and Fox News.

Schneider would issue a denial in a statement: “Seriously, folks? This is my final comment on this. I neither said nor implied any such thing. Despite headlines claiming otherwise, in my post, I absolutely did not call for an act of violence or threaten a U.S. president as many other celebrities have done in the past. I suggest you re-read my actual post and pay attention to the words before believing this nonsense.” Schneider is reportedly now facing an investigation by the Secret Service.

The Masked Singer was balling on Wednesday night (Nov. 15), when one of the NBA’s most recognizable athleted of the 2000s was unmasked.
The celebrities got their helmets and sang their heart for Trolls night, a pop night. Cuddle Monster performed “You Got It (The Right Stuff)” by New Kids on the Block, Anteater hit “I Want It That Way” by Backstreet Boys and Donut sang “I Do (Cherish You) by 98 Degrees.

Donut had it licked as Cuddle Monster and Anteater accumulated the least number of votes, and entered the smackdown with a performance of Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling.”

For Cuddle Monster, an early retirement.

Under the fluffy mask was Metta World Peace, the controversial former NBA star who is remembered as much for his role in the infamous “Malice at the Palace” brawl in 2004 (when he was known by his birthname, Ron Artest), as he is for a superb pro career, during which he won an NBA championship with the Los Angles Lakers (in 2010), and earned a string of league honors, including All-NBA, All Star and defensive player of the year.

“It was an amazing experience,” he told host Nick Cannon. “I love the character and the chakra, I was asking to make I more zenful. We’re from the hood. But you know, we like a zen too.”

Under the costume, “I was trying to make it fun,” he added. “I can’t wait for my grandbaby to see this.”

The former NBA star isn’t afraid of holding a mic. He’s released a string of hip-hop records, both as Metta World Peace and Ron Artest.

Metta World Peace departs the 10th season of Fox’s wacky singing competition, joining the likes of Luann De Lesseps as Hibiscus departs the competition, joining the likes of Posey as Hawk, Billie Jean King as Royal Hen, Michael Rapaport as Pickle, Tom Sandoval as Diver, Anthony Anderson as Rubber Ducky and Demi Lovato as Anonymouse as this season’s unmasked celebrities.

Robin Thicke, Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong and Jenny McCarthy return as judges for the latest season, which airs Wednesdays on Fox at 8 p.m.

The Rocket Man and his music was everywhere on the night, as Tiki performed Goodbye Yellow Brick Road, Hawk hit “Saturday’s Alright For Fighting,” Husky performed “Bennie and the Jets,” Royal Hen tackled “Philadelphia Freedom,” and, for good measure, judge Robin Thicke performed “Tiny Dancer.”

The two celebrities with the lowest number of votes would enter the knockout. That meant Royal Hen vs. Hawk, on a rendition of “Don’t Go Breaking My Heart” by Elton John and Kiki Dee.

Hawk won the battle of the birds.

Under the Royal Hen mask was Billie Jean King, the tennis legend with 39 Grand Slam titles to her name who is as well remembered for her deeds on the court as those advocacy efforts off it.

King didn’t just perform the song. It’s hers.

Elton and his career-long collaborator Bernie Taupin wrote the song in the early 1970s for King, then a member of the Philadelphia Freedoms professional tennis team.

“You guys are so awesome, thank you so much,” she said after the big reveal.

The experience, on The Masked Singer, yeah “It was great but it was so hot” under that outfit. “I’m sweating bullets”.

King also recounted the moment her friend Elton told her about the song he was writing for her. “If you go to Philadelphia, everyone is still playing it,” she said. “It’s their anthem.”

It was King who, in 1973, lobbied for equal prize money for men and women at the U.S. Open.

Through her work, Flushing Meadows became the first major tournament to offer equal prize money to both sexes. Today, all four Grand Slams offer equal prize money to women and men. King also defeated self-proclaimed chauvinist Bobby Riggs in the so-called “Battle of the Sexes” in 1973, winning in three straight sets.

For her work, King in 2009 received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, the United States’ highest civilian honor, and she’s a recipient of the 1999 Arthur Ashe Courage Award.

King as Royal Hen follow the exit door after Michael Rapaport as Pickle, Tom Sandoval as Diver, Anthony Anderson as Rubber Ducky and Demi Lovato as Anonymouse as season 10’s unmasked celebrities.

Thicke, Nicole Scherzinger, Ken Jeong and Jenny McCarthy return as judges for the latest season, which airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on Fox.

A week after one of U.S. TV’s “supervillains” was unmasked on The Masked Singer, viewers got another surprise Wednesday night (Oct. 11) when Pickle removed his giant prop head.

The theme of the night was the 2000s, and to drive the point home, *NSYNC’s Lance Bass and The Office actor Kate Flannery were among the special guests.

Wildcard Pickle got the show started off with a rendition of Weezer’s “Beverly Hills”, followed by Gazelle with a cover of Britney Spears’ “Lucky,” and S’more’s rendition of Plain White T’s’ “Hey There Delilah.”

Pickle and S’more bottomed out with lowest vote count, which meant a head-to-head on Fall Out Boy’s “Sugar, We’re Goin Down.”

The green guy got himself into a pickle; yes, Pickle was sent packing.

But first, the big reveal. Under the mildly terrifying Pickle helmet was Michael Rapaport, the New York City-based actor, funnyman and self-styled disruptor, who, on multiple occasions, has used his social channels to unload on Fox, the network behind The Masked Singer.

Rapaport, as he does, delivered one of his signature rants, with shoutouts for each of the panelists, “Oh no. I didn’t just do great, I did fantastic. I was unbelievable,” he remarked. “The crowd went crazy.”

Changing tone, the True Romance star added, “In all seriousness I had a great time, I love this show, I love (host Nick Cannon), I love all these guys. The crowd was great, I hope they’re feeding you.”

When the deed was done, Rapaport posted a clip from the green room and backstage, with the caption: “The People’s Pickle. Big dill energy to the entire world and beyond. Smile for a moment if you can.”

Hosted by Cannon, the latest season includes a 16-strong fleet of contestants disguised in extravagant costumes including a Husky, Royal Hen, Tiki, Hawk, Hibiscus and Anteater.

Rapaport as Pickle joins Tom Sandoval as Diver, Anthony Anderson as Rubber Ducky and Demi Lovato as Anonymouse as season 10’s unmasked celebrities.

Nicole Scherzinger, Robin Thicke, Jeong and Jenny McCarthy return as judges for the latest season, which airs Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on Fox.

After Pickle (singing The Who’s “Pinball Wizard”), Gazelle (Katy Perry’s “The One That Got Away”), Cow (Bruno Mars’ “Treasure”), S’more (Maroon 5’s “Moves Like Jagger”), and Diver (OneRepublic’s “I Ain’t Worried”) gave it their best shot, Diver was given the heave-ho.

When the helmet came off, the confetti fell, jaws dropped and Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules supervillain Tom Sandoval gave the crowd a wave.

Ken Jeong chose right for the second straight week. And with it, season 10 of Fox’s bizarre singing competition unmasked perhaps the “second-most hated person” in its history, notes Variety’s Michael Schneider, behind only disgraced former New York mayor Rudy Giuliani, who appeared in season seven.

If Jeong guessed right, he wasn’t the only one. Internet sleuths figured out the man behind the mask well ahead of the big reveal.

“So much fun,” Sandoval said of his experience on The Masked Singer. “Being able to come out here and perform behind the mask, not being judged, just being judged on my performance, it was really nice.”

Being a top TV villain, was it tough going on the show? “It was, but it was nice, I felt protected under the mask,” he continued. “This costume is incredible. There’s so many talented people here I feel honored to be part of it.”

The British invasion was the theme. But at the conclusion of The Masked Singer’s episode on Wednesday night, an American beauty queen was sent packing.
Fox’s quirky series has reached the pointy end of the season, with just four contestants remaining in the game.

Make that three, after UFO was unmasked on the latest show.

Episode 12 of the current ninth season was devoted to the British wave. California Roll tackled Radiohead’s “Creep,” Macaw sang Elton John’s “Your Song,” UFO performed the late Amy Winehouse’s “Tears Dry On Their Own,” and Medusa hit Adele’s “Someone Like You.”

The singer with the fewest votes is out.

Sadly for UFO, she took off for her last flight on The Masked Singer.

When the helmet came off, Olivia Culpo came out smiling. “That was fun you guys,” remarked the model, influencer and former Miss Universe.

Culpo’s talent has remained a secret until now. “I’m no Nicole Scherzinger but I like to sing in the shower,” she quipped.

And will she pursue a career in singing after her QF run? Well, no, the shower will remain her platform. “I might just bump it up a notch in there.”

Pussycat Doll Scherzinger remarked that Culpo had the best energy and spirit among this season’s contestants, but that wasn’t enough to see her progress to the final.

Culpo thanked the show for the opportunity and, “although I had a mask on, this is more of my personality that I got to share for the first time. So much of what I feel I have to do is not about that, people don’t want to see your personality. So, this was really really fun for me.”

With Culpo (as UFO) heading home, she joins the likes of Lou Diamond Phillips (Mantis), Dee Snider (Doll), Grandmaster Flash (Polar Bear), Debbie Gibson (Night Owl) as unmasked singers.

This season’s batch of celebrities boast a combined 28 Emmy nominations, six Grammy wins, 10 gold albums, four Golden Globe nominations, two Tony Award nominations, and four stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, according to producers.
