Tiffany Haddish went over to Israel to learn about what’s happening in Israel and Gaza and got emotional responding to the backlash over a social media post she made.

On Wednesday (February 21), comedienne and actress Tiffany Haddish addressed her trip to Israel, which she chronicled in a social media post earning her swift backlash over her demeanor. When asked by TMZ’s Harvey Levin about why she would make that trip, Haddish responded: “I can’t believe everything that I read. I want to go see for myself. I want to talk to the people that’s here, that actually had family members that were hostages taken out of their own homes.”

Haddish went on to say that she intended to also go to Gaza, which has seen over 30,000 Palestinians killed during bombings and military actions by the Israeli Defense Forces in their retaliation campaign against the Hamas militant group’s assault on October 7th, 2023, that claimed 1,200 lives. “I care about both sides, I care about humanity,” the Girls Trip actress continued: “I know there’s a lot of the religious stuff going on, control of the land… It’s about human beings. Human beings, man.”
Haddish has some kinship with the Jewish people of Israel, having had her ancestry confirmed five years ago after DNA testing. The now-deleted Instagram video showed the 44-year-old on the plane flight with a drink in hand, joking around. The responses to it were swift and furious, with one commenter named Catrina writing “Sippin on a mimosa on your way to go see a genocide is INSANE.” Some applauded Haddish and wished her a safe journey. The video was then deleted, and she reportedly lost over 14,000 followers.
Levin asked Haddish about the responses to that video. “That’s what I’m trying to tell y’all. I’m doing this by myself. I don’t have a whole family of men, or a man supporting me. I’m doing it on my own,” she said, choking up. “I’m learning on my own.” She added, “The average female wouldn’t have the courage to go see for themselves. There’s a lot of scary a— b———s out here, and y’all can be scared. But I’m gonna go ahead and follow my instincts.” She also referenced Mo’Nique, who had recently called her out in her Club Shay Shay podcast interview. The latest post on her Instagram account, a repost from a group called Louder Creators, appears to be taking shots at her critics of the trip.

Tiffany Haddish and her legal ordeals have a new development after she entered a not guilty plea in her Los Angeles DUI case. The actor and comedian was arrested in Beverley Hills in November asleep at the wheel.
TMZ, which broke the initial report, shared new details of the DUI case faced by Tiffany Haddish. On Wednesday (December 20), Haddish, 44, entered the plea during her arraignment. Haddish entered the same plea during a DUI case in Georgia.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office brought charges of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving with a .08% BAC.
The outlet adds that the Georgia DUI case was set to take place this month but has been postponed. Haddish is asking the courts to deny her blood test results as evidence and said that police conducted an unlawful search of her vehicle.
Haddish appeared in three films this year, Landscape with Invisible Hand, Haunted Mansion, and Back on the Strip.
Tiffany Haddish should be expected to face hearings on both matters in the coming months.

Tiffany Haddish has officially been charged with DUI after she was arrested in Beverly Hills last month following calls to the police about a running car stopped in the middle of Beverly Drive with the driver, who turned out to be Haddish, slumped over behind the steering wheel.

According to TMZ, the Girls Trip actress’ case was under review by the L.A. District Attorney’s Office and it was determined that she was driving with a .08% BAC.

Because this is actually the second time within the last couple of years that she has caught a DUI charge after falling asleep behind the wheel (pretty much the same thing happened to her in Georgia in January 2022), a lot of people were beginning to worry about the She Ready comedian’s wellbeing. So, it came as somewhat of a comfort when she opened up about the arrest during an interview with Entertainment Tonight host Kevin Frazier saying she was in good spirits but also acknowledging that she needed to get herself together.
“I’m going to get some help so I can learn balance and boundaries,” she said.
Still, Haddish’s DUI arrests could yield serious consequences for the 43-year-old. Prosecutors in the Peach State are even pushing for stricter bond conditions.
From TMZ:
In fact, in light of her Cali arrest, Georgia prosecutors are pushing for stricter restrictions on her — wanting to modify the bondconditions from her open DUI case there to restrict her from using booze and drugs completely.
BTW … if Tiffany is convicted of both offenses, both California and Georgia have laws that require jail time for a second offense — in CA, the minimum is 4 days, in GA it’s 3 days.
A few days in jail obviously wouldn’t be the end of Haddish’s world, but the situation is still very unfortunate. What is fortunate is that Haddish hadn’t caused any accidents or injuries to others while driving under the influence.
Driving drunk is dangerous, y’all. We hope Tiffany Haddish receives the help she needs.

Tiffany Haddish is speaking out after being arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence over Thanksgiving weekend.
Actress and comedian Tiffany Haddish opened up to the media after being detained by the Beverly Hills Police Department on suspicion of driving under the influence Friday (Nov. 24). When asked by Entertainment Tonight host Kevin Frazier about the incident, Haddish said that she was in good spirits but also acknowledged that she needed to make changes. “I’m going to get some help so I can learn balance and boundaries,” she stated.

The 43-year-old comedian told Frazier that the incident occurred at the end of a long Thanksgiving day, which began with her taking part in serving meals to underprivileged people at The Laugh Factory and performing a special set. She also took in a concert featuring the Yachtley Crew rock band at the El Rey Theatre, which she shared on her Instagram page.

Haddish was found asleep in her Tesla at 5:45 a.m., which witnesses claim was stopped in the middle of Beverly Drive. According to police reports, the engine was still running. The Girls Trip actress was led away in handcuffs after being arrested but was released hours later. She’d also comment on how well the Beverly Hills Police Department handled the situation and praised their professional attitude, telling Frazier “that this will never happen again.”
This is the second DUI arrest for Tiffany Haddish. The first took place in January 2022 in Atlanta, after police responded to emergency calls about someone on the highway being spotted falling asleep behind the wheel. She was arrested and then released on a $1,666 bond. She would make light of that incident then, and do the same regarding her Beverly Hills arrest at a set at The Laugh Factory later that Friday. According to reports, when asked what happened she replied, “You tell me.” Haddish would then say, “I had prayed to God to send me a man with a job, career, preferably in a uniform. God answered my prayers.”
