Shereé Whitfield is celebrating 54-years around the sun. The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star took to Instagram to bask in the huge milestone with friends and fans on Jan. 2, her actual birthday.
“Thanking GOD for another year! Feeling so grateful as I walk into 2025 with another year of growth, happiness and love. Here’s to more laughter, joy, and sweet moments,” the RHOA star, fashion designer and fitness guru penned. “Thank u guys for all of the calls, text, Zelle’s and #birthday love!! U guys never disappoint and I’m so appreciative of y’all!”
Whitfield’s post featured a series of stunning photos that showcased her in a form-fitting lace catsuit that accentuated her curves. She paired the seductive outfit with a black bandeau bralette and high-waisted black panties, enhancing the overall allure. “This current honorary doctorate is from Harvest Christian University. I want to thank God, my family, friends, & supporters for always rooting for me in this journey called ‘life,’” the star penned. “I never thought I would be saying Dr. Shereé Whitfield EVER, but that goes to show you that the man above has the final say. If GOD is with you, Who could be against you?”
Based on her New Year’s Eve post, it’s clear that Whitfield is stepping into 2025 with the same bold energy and confidence. The star revealed that she plans to focus on being a little more “selfish” this year, prioritizing self-care and making her own well-being a top priority.

Nike Yardrunners returns with a new collection that once again bigs up the influence of Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs) on culture.
The Yardrunners collection was started to highlight the deep history and heritage of (HBCUs), and their alumni, on the worlds of cultures and sports. 2024 is the 5th collection after its 2020 debut. That’s why the 2024 edition revisits the inaugural drop and features collaborations with Kahlana Barfield Brown and Dex Robinson on a new pair of AF1 Low styles.
Kahlana Barfield Brown is an influential fashion and beauty editor, and Howard alum, and the design of her Yardrunners “Ice Cream” Nike Air Force 1 is an ode to HBCU’s.
Per Nike:
The shoe’s deep brown colorway represents the shades of melanin and beauty that connect every student to their school, their roots, and the generations of Black excellence that came before them.
Its vintage cream leather upper is a nod to the rich history and heritage of HBCUs, starting with the first built in 1837.
Inspired by the timeless buildings that stand tall on HBCU campuses across the country, the brick sock liner reflects a strong foundation.
Latitude and longitude marks on the toe symbolize the coordinates of the heartbeat of each university, “The Yard,” a place where students connect with each other, as well as their shared culture and legacy.
Kahlana chose crimson red as an accent color to honor her alma mater and sorority in Washington D.C. and her late grandmother who was a lifelong member.
Capping off the design is Kahlana’s personal signature on the heel, embodying her pride in being a part of this legacy.
As for Dex Robinson, the fashion stylist and designer of menswear brand DIALLO, salutes his Virginia Union University alma mater with his AF1 ’07 Low VUU.
Inspired by the resilience and strength of VUU’s Panther mascot, the sneaker’s upper features a unique pony hair finish, embodying power and elegance.
Paying homage to VUU’s iconic colors, the sneaker features a maroon lace option and a subtle steel outline around the Nike Swoosh to accentuate the design.
The left heel tab reads “Dear Union,” a nod to Dex’s alma mater, while the right heel tab bears “With Love, Dex Rob” as a heartfelt gift to the university that shaped his journey.
Interchangeable pins, including the VUU logo, the Panther mascot, and the DIALLO feather icon, offer customizable elements for proud VUU representation.
The insole contains a personal letter from Dex, written on a silhouette background featuring an image of the university sign that highlights the colleges that merged to form Virginia Union University, symbolizing the unity and legacy VUU represents in his life.

We’re talking about ComplexCon, which delivered this past weekend on its promise of bringing together creatives, artists, fans and unrepentant hypebeasts to share their energy, and sell and purchase exclusive products.

As previously reported, it all went down at the Las Vegas Convention Center, and it was clear from the onset that ComplexCon had plenty of motion, as they say. The line to get into the convention center was well down the block before the doors opened and the crowds were at capacity for both days.

The classic and once super rare Nike x Wu-Tang Clan Dunks in the black and yellow silhouette will be returning to shelves Nov. 9 on the Nike SNKRS app and select sneaker boutiques.
A few weeks ago, Nike shock dropped the coveted Wu-Tang Clan Nike Dunks on their SNKRS app. While millions of Wu-Tang fans took L’s on the sudden release, they’ll be getting another crack at owning a pair as a release date has been officially set.
To hype up the upcoming drop (as if they needed to), they’ve incorporated the talents of the New York Knicks, Jalen Brunson, Mikal Bridges, and Josh Hart to hype up the release. Standing alongside The Abbot himself, The RZA, the Nova Knicks throw up the “W” in solidarity with the Hip-Hop legend from Shaolin.
We need those kicks in our lives.
While the young’ns these days aren’t up on the Wu like the OGs, we don’t expect these to be an easy cop as sneakerheads will be coming out in droves to own a pair of these classics once release day comes around.
“These Dunks are important to me and the Wu-Tang legacy because of the cultural impact they’ve had since their original release,” says Wu-Tang Clan leader RZA in a statement. “For many years, the sneaker world was reserved for athletes and some entertainers, and Nike recognizing us in this way is a testament to hip-hop and our contribution to culture.”
No word on how many pairs will be available but with a $600 resale price tag on the ones that dropped a few weeks ago, they’ll definitely be hard to get regardless of availability.
