Travis Kelce Says He Owes These Women ‘Big Time’ for Urging Taylor Swift to Date Him

Travis Kelce may have scored big with Taylor Swift, his rumored love interest, but he’s making sure to give credit to a couple of female sports commentators who might have helped him win her over.

Back before the Kansas City Chiefs tight end was all over the news due to speculation he’s dating Swift, their rumored romance began with Kelce simply saying that he had a crush on her — and even tried unsuccessfully to give her his number at an Eras Tour concert — on his New Heights podcast with brother Jason Kelce. Soon after, FOX Sports commentators Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson took to their own podcast, Calm Down, to put in a good word for Travis and convince Swift to give him a chance.

And now that the pop star and NFL star have been spotted together, Travis made sure to thank Andrews and Thompson. “?? You two are something else!! ???? I owe you big time!!” he commented on a Sunday (Oct. 1) Instagram post from Thompson, who’d re-shared their Aug. 3 podcast clip.

“@killatrav we do what we can. This is what we’re here for! ?” responded Andrews and Thompson via their official Calm Down account.

Back in August, the two women had used their show to send a message to the “Anti-Hero” singer. “Taylor, I don’t know what you’re doing in your life right now besides rocking the world … please try our friend Travis, he is fantastic!” Andrews had said at the time. “Take us up on this — go on a date with this guy. Do it for America.”

Less than two months later, Swift showed up at the Kansas City Chiefs vs. Chicago Bears game at Arrowhead Stadium, cheering on Kelce alongside his mom, Donna, and leaving the stadium with the tight end at her side after the game ended. A week after that, she was in attendance at MetLife Stadium for Kansas City’s away game against the New York Jets, occupying a box suite with a fleet of famous friends including Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Hugh Jackman, Sophie Turner and more.

“You’re ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE @adele!! Simple as that,” James captioned a series of videos from the show, in which Adele is seen performing “Hello,” “Send My Love (To Your New Lover),” “Oh My God” and many more. “Pleasure witnessing it live in the flesh! Never Ever to forget! RARE!!! A breath of fresh air, a striking bolt of light and a unfazed humble yet super confident aura!! Continue love and blessings!!”

Back in March, Adele revealed that she would be extending her wildly popular Las Vegas residency through the summer and into the fall. The British superstar also noted that her upcoming shows will be documented for a concert film.

“Playing to 4,000 people for 34 nights is not enough, and I know that, so I am coming back,” Adele told the audience during one of her concerts. “I’ll be back for a few weeks in June, and I’m going to film it and I’m going to release it to make sure that anyone who wants to see this show can see it.”

Carson Daly Uses Taylor Swift References to Explain the Kansas City Chiefs vs. New York Jets Game

Swifties are in their era, whether or not they understand the sport — but Carson Daly is helping out with a little sports rundown.

Taylor Swift arrived to watch Travis Kelce — tight end and her rumored boyfriend — and the Kansas City Chiefs face off against the New York Jets over the weekend (Oct. 1), and before the big game, NBC shared a clip from The Voice in which host Daly ran through the details of the game with a slew of Swift-related puns.

“We got a call from NBC Sports asking us to put tonight’s story in language that the legions of Swifties would understand,” Daly said as a video of Kelce played on the screen. “This guy, Travis Kelce, well, he plays for the Kansas City Chiefs, who are basically the ‘next great American dynasty’ in the NFL.”

He continued, “On the other side, there’s the New York Jets. They’ve been left with a ‘blank space’ after losing their star quarterback [Aaron Rodgers]. Tonight, sure, they’re going to try to ‘shake it off,’ but against the defending Super Bowl champs, it’s probably not likely to happen. Maybe in their ‘wildest dreams.’”

Swift’s night at the game marks the second public appearance/football date where the 1989 hitmaker showed support for Kelce, but this time, she was joined by her famous friends Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds.

See below for Carson Daly’s football rundown for the Swifties.

Hugh Jackman Snaps Selfie With Taylor Swift, Ryan Reynolds & Blake Lively at Chiefs-Jets Game

A key part of Taylor Swift’s image during the original 1989 album campaign involved her “squad” of famous friends, so it’s only right that she bring that back as she gears up for the release of 1989 (Taylor’s Version) — albeit in a configuration that more closely reflects where she’s at in her life right now. On Sunday (Oct. 1), the “Cruel Summer” singer was spotted a few members of the squad during the showdown between the Kansas City Chiefs and the New York Jets at New Jersey’s MetLife Stadium — and one of them was none other than Hugh Jackman.

In Swift’s second NFL appearance to show some support for her rumored new boo — Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce — she was joined by A Simple Favor actress Blake Lively, Deadpool actor Ryan Reynolds and Academy Award nominee and Tony winner Hugh Jackman in a suite. The Wolverine star — who made his Billboard Hot 100 debut with “The Greatest Show” from his 2017 film The Greatest Showman — shared a cute selfie of the four megastars to his Instagram Stories early Monday morning (Oct. 2), simply tagging his three fellow attendees. In the snap, the four are gathered close and smiling — though Swift has an “oh!” expression on her face — with the field below them in the background.

Other stars spotted with Swift in the suite as she cheered on Kelce to the Chiefs’ 23-20 victory over the Jets included Sophie Turner, who is in the midst of a divorce from Joe Jonas, and Brittany Mahomes, who is married to Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes. The pop superstar was also spotted hugging Sabrina Carpenter as she entered the stadium.

The week before, on Sept. 24, the “August” singer rooted on Kelce alongside his mother, Donna, as the Chiefs annihilated the Chicago Bears 41-10. The rumored pair left Arrowhead Stadium together in the NFL star’s convertible after the game.

Sophie Turner Attends Chiefs-Jets Game With Taylor Swift Amid Joe Jonas Divorce

Taylor Swift and Sophie Turner had their latest girls’ night out Sunday (Oct. 1), this time at the Chiefs-Jets game at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.

Joined by a group of the pop star’s close friends, the pair was cheering on Swift’s rumored romantic interest Travis Kelce in a box suite alongside Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Brittany Mahomes and more. The game marks one of several times Swift and the Game of Thrones star have hung out in the weeks since Turner’s split from husband Joe Jonas.

The two women have been spotted out to dinner in New York City a few times. And just one day ahead of Sunday’s game, Swift and Turner reportedly hit up an Italian restaurant in Nolita with Lively and Mahomes, who is married to Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.

Turner has been spending a lot of time in New York recently, having reached a temporary agreement with Jonas to keep their two young daughters in town for the time being. Their filing — which stated that neither party is allowed to remove their daughters from the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, which includes New York City and Long Island — was a temporary truce in the lawsuit filed by the actress against Jonas, whom she claimed was preventing the girls’ return home to England with her. (He has since denied her allegations.)

Turner and Jonas first confirmed their pending divorce in early September, posting a joint statement on social media. “After four wonderful years of marriage we have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage,” they wrote at the time. “There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”

Meanwhile, Swift has become the talk of the NFL thanks to her rumored romance with the Chiefs’ tight end. Her game-day hang with Turner came exactly a week after she first attended a Chiefs game in Kansas City, where she was spotted chatting with Kelce’s mother.

It’s a pairing that even twice-impeached former president Donald Trump weighed in on, telling an interviewer over the weekend, “I wish the best for both of them. I hope they enjoy their life, maybe together, maybe not — most likely not.”

Taylor Swift Fans React to ‘Cornelia St.’ Sign Televised During Chiefs-Jets Game

Taylor Swift fans were not amused by NBC Sunday night (Oct. 1). Mid-game — when the Kansas City Chiefs and New York Jets were tied 20-20 — the camera once again made its way to Swift, who was there with a group of celeb friends to support her rumored romantic partner, Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Swift has provided some wildly fun reactions to the Chiefs’ touchdowns this weekend and last, and seemed to be enjoying herself Sunday. But at this point of the game, she looked stressed.

Cue a shot of … the “Cornelia St.” sign? “Cornelia Street” is subjectively one of Swift’s saddest songs, which she penned about the time she rented a place on New York City’s Cornelia Street, and how she was “so terrified of if you ever walk away, I’d never walk Cornelia Street again.”

“And I hope I never lose you, hope it never ends/ I’d never walk Cornelia Street again,” Swift sings in the chorus. “That’s the kind of heartbreak time could never mend. I’d never walk Cornelia Street again.”

“Cornelia Street,” which appears on 2019’s Lover, is widely assumed to be inspired by the early days of her long-term relationship with ex-boyfriend Joe Alwyn. Swift dated the actor for six years before parting ways earlier this year, with sources noting that “the relationship had just run its course.”

Now that she’s being linked to Travis Kelce — regularly showing up at his games to cheer him on, and hanging out with his mom — seeing a random shot of the actual “Cornelia St.” sign before a commercial break Sunday night startled fans.

“What’s up with the cut to Cornelia st,” one tweeted with the “dead” emoji.

Another fan pointed out in a tweet: “BRO WHY DID THEY JUST SHOW CORNELIA ST????!? READ THE ROOM.”

“THEY DID NOT JUST SHOW TAYLOR AND THEN CORNELIA ST I CANT,” another wrote, while someone else said, “NOT CORNELIA ST I FEEL SICK.”

“Showing Cornelia St wasn’t the Easter egg they thought it was,” another added.

“That dissolve transition to the Cornelia St sign is VILE,” one fan tweeted.

Swift’s night at the game marks the second public appearance/football date where the 1989 hitmaker showed support for the Chiefs’ No. 87.

Swift’s guests at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, Sunday included plenty of star power: The pop icon was accompanied by friends Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds. She was seen hugging Sabrina Carpenter as she entered the stadium. Hugh Jackman was also spotted. (Swift and Lively were also photographed arriving together at a dinner in New York City the night before.)

“Welcome to New York, it’s been waiting for you,” the official NFL account tweeted to Swift on X before the game began, sharing a clip of her greeting others at the stadium. They continued to share clips of Swift enjoying herself throughout the night, and caught her reaction to a touchdown.

Last Sunday (Sept. 24) in Kansas City, Swift also showed up for Kelce, going wild when he scored a touchdown. “Let’s f—ing go!” she was seen on camera calling out as she cheered alongside Mama Kelce; Fox Sports‘ coverage cut to Swift frequently that night. Travis and Taylor were seen leaving Arrowhead Stadium and riding off together in a getaway car, according to photos acquired by TMZ, and they attended an afterparty.

NBC used Swift’s “Welcome to New York” in a TV commercial earlier this week to promote the Chiefs’ vs. Jets game.

Travis Kelce & Chiefs Trade Friendship Bracelets on TikTok Like They’re at a Taylor Swift Concert: Watch

The Kansas City Chiefs took part in a Swiftie-approved pre-game day activity this weekend: handing out friendship bracelets to each other. Amid all the chatter about tight end Travis Kelce’s possible romance with Taylor Swift, the Chiefs’ TikTok seemingly gave a nod toward where the maybe-couple’s courtship began on Saturday (Sept. 30).

“We’re all BFFs over here,” a caption on the Chiefs’ TikTok account says in the new friendship bracelet-themed post. The caption was topped off with the emoji that shows a smiling face surrounded by hearts.

In the TikTok clip, Kelce reacts to a bunch of friendship bracelets by throwing his head back and laughing before accepting one that spells out “Killa Trav.” “I know what these are all about,” he says, looking right at the camera.

Kelce has said that he tried to meet Swift and give her a friendship bracelet with his phone number when he saw her perform in Kansas City on The Eras Tour this summer, but it didn’t work out. “I was a little butt-hurt I didn’t get to hand her one of the bracelets I made for her,” he admitted in an episode of his New Heights podcast, which he records with his brother Jason.

The New Heights podcast’s TikTok account left this comment on the Chief’s post on Saturday: “Nothing better than a good friendship bracelet.”

Fans of both the Chiefs and Swift seemed to enjoy the reference to The Eras Tour on TikTok, with some even noticing Travis Kelce doing a hand movement in the clip that’s similar to one of the pop star’s dance moves. “not the bejeweled hands,” one person commented with the crying-face emoji. “I love him.”

Last weekend, Swift, who was seated beside Kelce’s mother in a suite, very visibly cheered on the Chiefs during their game against the Chicago Bears, and left the stadium with Travis. She’s rumored to be attending the Chiefs-Jets game on Sunday (Oct. 1).

In a new NBC television commercial, Swift’s “Welcome to New York” is used as background pump-up music for clips promoting the Chiefs’ game against the New York Jets. Kelce is featured heavily throughout, and the official Sunday Night Football account tweeted that the clip was “Taylor Made for Sunday Night.” According to an NFL blog post, Swift’s team reportedly declined Fox Sports‘ request to use her music during the actual game last Sunday, “in conjunction with speculations on or about her private/personal/dating life.”

The Eras Tour friendship bracelet trend stems from a lyric from Swift’s Midnights track “You’re On Your Own, Kid”: “Make the friendship bracelets, take the moment and taste it.” Swifties took that thought to heart and made trading friendship bracelets a fun part of their concert experience.

Taylor Swift’s ‘Welcome to New York’ Soundtracks Chiefs vs. Jets Game Promo Starring Travis Kelce

The Kansas City Chiefs are headed to New York this weekend, and who better to soundtrack their expedition than the West Village’s own Taylor Swift?

In a new NBC television commercial the pop star’s ode to NYC “Welcome to New York” was used as background pump-up music for a series of clips promoting the Kansas City Chiefs’ upcoming match against the New York Jets. But while Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes was given a solo shot or two in the TV spot, it was tight end Travis Kelce — Swift’s rumored new love interest — who was undeniably the promo’s star.

The tight end was featured heavily throughout, with the commercial both opening and closing on shots of Kelce. As the official Sunday Night account tweeted, the clip was “Taylor Made for Sunday Night.”

The spot’s use of Swift’s song is understandable, but it may come as a surprise given that Fox Sports just reported that its request to use Swift’s music during last weekend’s Chiefs-Bears game broadcast, which captured multiple clips of the singer’s surprise attendance, had been denied.

According to a recent blog post by NFL on Fox lead producer Richie Zyons, associate producer Rich Gross had sought permission to use Swift’s catalog “amid the avalanche of rumors.” Per the FOX music department, however, Swift’s record label and publishing company denied their request “in conjunction with speculations on or about her private/personal/dating life.”

Billboard has reached out to Swift’s rep for comment.

In other “Travlor” news, the “Anti-Hero” singer is rumored to be planning on attending the Chiefs-Jets game Sunday (Oct. 1). If true, the coverage is sure to be a repeat of last week’s game, which sent the internet into a tailspin as soon as clips of Swift hanging out with Donna Kelce and leaving the stadium with Travis surfaced.

Taylor Swift Inspires Heinz to Launch Limited-Edition ‘Ketchup & Seemingly Ranch’ Bottle

Move over, mayochup! There is a wackier, trendier condiment combo in town, and it’s all thanks to Taylor Swift.

Over the weekend, the “Anti-Hero” singer made waves when she attended the Kansas City Chiefs’ football game in light of her rumored romance with tight end Travis Kelce, and her choice of condiments for her game day chicken tenders meal — ketchup and “seemingly ranch” — went viral. So viral, that Heinz has rebranded the condiment combo and made it a limited-edition bottle.

Heinz confirmed in a Tuesday post on Instagram that Ketchup and Seemingly Ranch (Taylor’s Version) will be released in the coming months. “It’s a new Era for Heinz. Introducing Ketchup and Seemingly Ranch. Limited-edition bottles coming soon. #SeeminglyRanch #ItHasToBeHeinz,” the company captioned the post.

The condiment flavor — which already exists within the company as “kranch” but is receiving a tangy rebrand just for the pop star — is inspired directly by Swift and Kelce’s budding relationship, a spokesperson revealed in a statement to The Independent. “In honor of #Traylor, Heinz (Arrowhead Stadium’s supplier of both Ketchup AND Ranch) is creating a ‘Taylor’s Version’ of its iconic Kranch sauce and releasing 100 bottles of Limited-Edition ‘Ketchup and Seemingly Ranch’ sauce,” the spokesperson said.

The spokesperson additionally confirmed that 100 bottles of the sauce are due to the sum of Kelce’s football jersey number 87 and Swift’s lucky number 13.

Fans of Swift’s seemingly approve of Heinz supporting their favorite pop star’s condiments of choice. “I saw Taylor Swift eating ketchup and seemingly ranch, so I ate ketchup and seemingly ranch,” one fan wrote in the comments section of the brand’s instagram post. Another added, “This is Taylor’s world and we’re just living in it.”

Ketchup and Seemingly Ranch is likely to sell out quickly, as with Swift’s merch, but don’t worry — the flavor is still available to purchase as Kranch. You can purchase the sauce here.
