A first Thursday night (March 14) show spotlighting a special Vultures performance by ¥$ (Ye + Ty Dolla $ign), plus North West making her debut festival performance, were among the highlights and surprises for fans attending 2024 Rolling Loud California. Holding court for an unprecedented four nights (March 14-17) at Inglewood, Calif.’s Hollywood Park, the annual festival’s stacked deck of headliners also included Nicki Minaj, Post Malone and Future x Metro Boomin.Just as buzzworthy, however, were the additional acts rounding out Rolling Loud’s three full days of programming. Among them: Bryson Tiller, Sexyy Red, Summer Walker, Flo Milli, PartyNextDoor, Don Toliver and Big Sean, as well as Los Angeles rap legends YG and Tyga in a joint performance.
The first Rolling Loud event of 2024 also presented a wide-ranging collection of merchandise inspired by L.A. sports teams, street art, racing culture, anime, skateboarding and more. Curated by Rolling Loud’s director of merchandise Ray Guilbauilt and primarily designed by Prism Works Group, the merch offerings also included collaborations with YG, marking the rapper’s 10th anniversary of his classic album My Krazy Life; Chief Keef’s Glo Gang; a Rolling Loud co-branded belt by BB Simon; and the fest’s continued partnership with Forever 21 for the popular merch activation Bunny’s Bae Bar.
Those unable to attend in person could tune in each day to Rolling Loud’s livestream on its YouTube channel. Presented by Sprite, the fest’s official livestream was hosted by Jazzy of Jazzy’s World (with whom 10-year-old North West, aka Miss Westie, did her first on-camera interview about her forthcoming debut album Elementary School Dropout), Tallie Spencer, Speedy Morman, Bootleg Kev and Hakeem Rowe, among other personalities.
Approaching its 10th anniversary in 2025, Rolling Loud — co-founded by Matt Zingler and Tariq Cherif — is heading next to Europe this summer (July 5-7, 2024, near Vienna, Austria), coming back Stateside for Rolling Loud Miami (July 19-21) and then returning to Asia with Rolling Loud Thailand (Nov. 22-24).

North West was interviewed about her debut album, Elementary School Dropout, at Rolling Loud 2024.
North is the 10-year-old daughter of Ye — formerly known as Kanye West — and Kim Kardashian. Ye took the stage on opening night (Thursday, Mar. 14) of the festival at Hollywood Park in Inglewood, Calif., with North and friends joining him at one point during the set.
In a clip shared by Rolling Loud on Instagram on Saturday, North is seen spending a few minutes with young reporter Jazlyn, aka Jazzy, the 13-year-old behind Jazzys World TV.

The interview was short and sweet.
Trending on Billboard
First, North was asked how she was doing, to which she politely replied, “Good, how are you?”
The next question posed was about Elementary School Dropout — specifically, how the young artist feels about releasing an album, and what people should expect from it.
“It’s gonna be great,” North said.
When will Elementary School Dropout be released? Well, that’s apparently still up in the air.
“Like… I don’t know,” said North.
And when asked whether the project would have any collaborations with Ye, North continued to keep things cryptic: “Maybe! We don’t know yet!”
“Thank you Ms. @kimkardashian for helping out,” Jazzy captioned the video. In another post, she shared photos with both North and Kim.
North announced her album during a Vultures listening party in Phoenix on March 10, joining her dad on stage for “Talking,” the Vultures track on which she’s featured. “Talking” debuted at No. 30 on the Hot 100 with 12.33 million official U.S. streams in its first week of tracking; the Hot 100 entry made her one of the youngest artists to ever appear on the chart.
“I’ve been working on an album,” she shared with the crowd. “And it’s called Elementary School Dropout.”
Elementary School Dropout is an homage to her father’s 2004 album The College Dropout.
Watch North’s brief interview from Rolling Loud below.
Kanye West may have appeased his most diehard fans last night at Rolling Loud, but he likely didn’t win over the millions of skeptics who were open to giving the “Carnival” rapper another chance following his behavior over the last two years.

When the Vultures 1 star took the stage at Rolling Loud Thursday night (Mar. 14) at Hollywood Park in Inglewood, Calif., most weren’t expecting West to apologize for the hurtful, antisemitic comments he has made over the last few years.
However, he failed to do the one thing that more than 50,000 fans had come out expecting him to do: perform his music. Instead, he and Ty Dolla $ign, his collaborator on his new album, Vultures 1, took the stage without microphones and danced, vibed and waved their hands around while tracks from the album blared over the loudspeakers. In fact, neither artist rapped, sang or spoke during the performance, which took place during the annual hip-hop festival’s opening night.
Trending on Billboard
Despite the insistence from West and his followers that Thursday’s performance was high art, most fans left the hour-long performance looking disappointed and confused.
“Was I just tricked?” Gloria Appel, 22, from El Segundo, Calif., asked her group of friends as they walked back to their cars. One of her companions offered that, if anything, it was fun dressing up with friends and going out for the night — prompting the group to nervously laugh before scurrying away.
There’s a larger performance art aspect to the show, Ty Dolla $ign suggested in an interview he and West gave to radio personality Big Boi for XXL released this morning but recorded prior to Thursday’s show. “It’s still better than other people’s shows that have a mic,” said Ty during the chat.
What does it mean to “perform” a concert in 2024, when DJs play prerecorded mixes and vocalists sing over backing tracks? For the last two months, Ye and Ty have made millions from hosting “listening party” events around the world — effectively the same thing they did Thursday night — in the process generating some praise and lots of press for West as he once again attempts to revive his career. It also puts cash in Ty’s pocket, who, on the Vultures 1 track “Paid,” fittingly raps: “I’m just here to get paid.”
That same quote was retweeted Thursday night by The Rolling Loud team who spent weeks dodging specifics on the show. What was communicated to fans was that the concert was supposed to be different than the listening parties. During an X Spaces session with fans on Feb. 28, Rolling Loud co-founder Tariq Cherif told participants, “I’m fully prepared for Ye to perform and Ty Dollar $ign to perform. Whether or not they decide to grab the mic is up to them. That’s what they’re contracted to do.” Afterward, for clarity, a rep for the festival confirmed with Billboard that West and Ty Dollar $ign were “contracted to perform a live performance.”
Even if West and Ty Dollar $ign didn’t rap or sing, they clearly invested the kind of money associated with a major headline concert. There were dozens of stage managers and production and front-of-house staff furiously directing the set as the artists wandererd on and off the specially created in-the-round style stage, which was wedged between the bright red exterior lights of the KIA Forum and the subtler hues of the multibillion-dollar SoFi Stadium. During the set, West roamed the stage in a black jacket and a face mask as Vultures 1 tracks played over the festival’s huge sound system. After he and Ty Dollar $ign exited the stage for good, an offstage DJ continued on, playing about 30 minutes worth of classic Kanye tracks including “N* in Paris,” “Father Stretch My Hands Pt. 1” and “All of the Lights.”
Most fans watched the performance without any visible reaction, though some modestly applauded at times. From the start of the show, it was unclear what was happening on stage, and by the time it ended, around 10 p.m., about half the fans in attendance had already trickled out. Those remaining behind took their time walking the exceedingly long, winding fence maze back to their cars, with many overheard saying that while the show was not what they had hoped for, it was what they expected. Kanye wasn’t speaking to them any longer, one fan noted, and he probably wasn’t listening to them, either.
Not exactly a ringing endorsement for West, who has hired back former manager John Monopoly and is planning a global tour for 2024, according to a recent Billboard report.
Following the confusion on Thursday night, one thing is clear: If West isn’t going to perform live at his future shows, he should be more transparent about it. While he certainly entertained at least some of his fans, he did so with a bare minimum of effort and, ahead of the show, didn’t make any attempt to repudiate rumors that he was planning to sing and rap.
As West told Big Boi during their interview, he believes most fans are coming to his events “just for the experience.” He further noted that he wants to create more call-and-response style chants with the audience at his performances, but didn’t explain how he could do that without speaking on stage. He said a highlight of past listening parties was hearing attendees mimic the wailing chorus of “Carnival,” noting that fans have come up with their own chant: shouting “F— Adidas!” after the shoemaker cut ties with him in 2022.
As for which artist would open future concerts, West had a unique suggestion.
“The smoke is like an opener with the lights themself,” he told Big Boi as Ty Dolla $ign shook his head in approval. West probably meant to say “fog,” the industry term for the smoky effect created by atomizing glycerin-based fluids with mineral oil. West is certainly right about the substance’s appeal to fans. As many in the business say, the fog effect has almost no downside — it’s just here to get sprayed.

After Lil Uzi Vert disputed being part of the Rolling Loud lineup, they’ve been replaced by not one but two acts – Future and Metro Boomin.
The release of the lineup for Rolling Loud California was announced on Tuesday (November 14), and it featured a slew of top musical artists with Post Malone and Nicki Minaj revealed as headliners of the weekend festival along with Lil Uzi Vert supposedly performing on that Saturday. But shortly after the artwork was launched, the singer and rapper went on social media to dispute that appearance. “I never said I was doing rolling loud. Don’t understand why my name is on here,” they wrote in a post to their Instagram stories showing the flyer.
Festival organizers apparently took note of Lil Uzi Vert’s statement and promptly re-issued a new image of the full festival lineup with two notable changes on Wednesday (November 15). The first was the blurring out of Lil Uzi Vert’s name on the festival artwork in a new post to X, formerly Twitter which simply carried the caption, “OK bet” with the okay sign emoji. The second was the announcement of Future and Metro Boomin’s appearance at the festival. Rolling Loud also sent out another post boosting the duo’s upcoming album which will be released before the festival takes place.
Lil Uzi Vert is currently on tour for their most recent album, Pink Tape. The tour is slated to end on November 22 in the artist’s hometown of Philadelphia. Rolling Loud California will be held at the Hollywood Park Grounds venue in Inglewood, California on March 15 – 17. The festival also features other prominent performances from Rae Sremmurd, Summer Walker, YG & Tyga, and more. Presale tickets for the event were made available to the public on Thursday (November 16) at 10 A.M. PT, with general sales beginning on Friday (November 17) at 10 AM PT. More information can be found on their website.

Once again it’s on!
This coming March Rolling Loud will be taking over the West Coast when it rolls into California for it’s annual concert event and yesterday they took to their Instagram page to announce the acts that fans can be expecting to see once it’s time to get it on and popping.
The three-day concert extravaganza will be headlined by the likes of Nicki Minaj, Post Malone and Lil Uzi Vert with other fan favorite artists such as Big Sean, YG & Tyga, Chief Keep and Rae Sremmurd amongst many others joining their music peers to rock the thousands of fans who’ll surely be in attendance.
Fans will be quick to notice that there’s a blurred name for Saturday’s event next to Big Sean, as to who that artist may be is anyone’s guess at this point. If we’d have to take a wild guess we’d put our money on Jhené Aiko as the name is next to Big Sean who is her baby daddy and the two seem to be back on good terms. That’s just an educated guess though.
Interestingly enough Digital Music News is reporting that Lil Uzi Vert took to his IG page to say “I never said I was doing Rolling Loud — I don’t understand why my name is on here.” Fans aren’t sure whether he’s telling the truth, pulling everyone’s chain for marketing purposes or if Rolling Loud got it wrong and will ultimately replace him at a later date. Regardless, heads are going to go to this event no matter who’s headlining.
Tickets for Rolling Loud: California is set to go down between March 15-17 at the Hollywood Park Grounds, next to SoFi Stadium, in Inglewood, California. Tickets go on pre-sale this Thursday (November 16) at 10 AM PT before general sales go live on Friday (November 17) at 10 am PT.

Calling all Barbz! Rolling Loud dropped the lineup for the festival’s forthcoming sixth visit to California on Tuesday (Nov. 14). Led by superstars Nicki Minaj, Lil Uzi Vert and Post Malone, the sprawling list of performers features more than 90 of the biggest and buzziest names across rap, R&B, pop and Latin music. Rolling Loud California 2024 will take over Hollywood Park Grounds in Inglewood, Calif., from March 15 to 17, 2024.
Minaj — a 2023 Billboard Music Awards finalist for top rap female artist — headlines a packed opening day for the festival. On Friday, March 15, Hollywood Park Grounds will be treated to performances from YG & Tyga, PARTYNEXTDOOR, Rae Sremmurd, Sexyy Red, Lil Tecca, Luh Tyler, Lay Bankz, Lil Gnar and JELEEL!
The Friday night performance is one of the first Minaj has confirmed for 2024. The two-time 2024 Grammy nominee is currently gearing up for the release of Pink Friday 2 — the sequel to her 2010 Billboard 200-topping debut studio album — and she’s teased an accompanying tour multiple times. Pink Friday 2 is set to arrive on Minaj’s birthday, Dec. 8.
On Saturday, March 16, “Circles” hitmaker Post Malone will lead an eye-popping lineup that includes appearances from Summer Walker, Big Sean, $uicideboy$, Larry June, Flo Milli, Pi’erre Bourne, Veeze, BigXthaPlug, Kaliii, Rob49, DC the Don, KenTheMan, 2Rare, Jordan Ward, Maiya the Don and Danny Towers. A mystery guest is listed in the second row of Saturday’s lineup between Big Sean and Larry June. Rolling Loud has yet to hint or reveal who the surprise act might be.
Finally, “Just Wanna Rock” rapper Lil Uzi Vert — who scored yet another Billboard Hot 100 hit with Minaj this year with their “Endless Fashion” (No. 20) duet — is set to close out the festival on Sunday, March 17, alongside a lineup that includes Bryson Tiller, Don Toliver, Ski Mask the Slump God, Chief Keef, NLE Choppa, That Mexican OT, 310babii, Chase Shakur, Sukihana, Ryan Trey, Cash Cobain, Wolfacejoeyy and Rich Amiri.
Billboard chart-topping regional Mexiacan singer-songwriter Junior H will serve as Friday’s special guest, with regional Mexican band Fuerza Regida acting as Saturday’s, and award-winning corridos tumbados trailblazer Natanael Cano as Sunday’s. DJ Scheme, DJ Five Venoms and DJ Stevie J will be tasked with keeping the vibes going and providing a soundtrack for three-day bonanza.
Earlier this year during Mar. 3-5, 2023, the most recent Rolling Loud California lineup — headed by Playboi Carti, Travis Scott and Future — electrified SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, CA.

Converse Chuck Taylor All Star High Top Sneakers Black/White

Shoes can make or break an outfit, and if you’re trekking through a festival in the wrong shoes, you’ll definitely be sorry. There’s actually a science to picking the perfect shoe but if you don’t have the time to test out different styles, go for comfortable walking shoes or running shoes that you don’t mind getting dirty such as Nikes, Pumas, Adidas, Salomon, New Balance, Vans or Converse Chuck Taylors. Other good options: Dr Martens, Burkenstocks, platforms and cowboy boots.
