Pusha T doesn’t speak much, but when he does the culture listens. In a recent interview, he gave his opinion on the Drake and Kendrick Lamar beef.
As spotted on Rap-Up, the front man of Clipse was in Miami for Art Basel. The Virginia Beach, Va., MC was a guest on “Saint Sessions Live,” an in person Q&A hosted in front of a live audience. While he discussed a variety of topics regarding his illustrious career it was his take on this very high-profile moment that soon went viral. Journalist Ari Melber asked him his thoughts about Kendrick’s infamous “Yeah, f**k all that pushin’ P, let me see you push a T” line from “Euphoria.” Pusha T made it clear he got what K. Dot was hinting at.
“I guess he was just telling him, you know he needed to address me before it comes back and trying to go at him.” He went on to reveal that he took the reference as a gesture of respect. “I think it was a great time for me. That whole battle was an awesome time. I think that him being a fan of Hip Hop, he saw it as that.” When asked if he also agreed with the people that Kendrick Lamar won the battle against Drake he emphatically replied, “1,000%.” Pusha T added, “I think that Kendrick is a lyricist and a lyricist that talks to your soul.”

It seems Clipse fans will not have to wait much longer for their new project. The group has signed with Def Jam Records for their new album.
As reported by Hypebeast, the Virginia Beach, Va., duo are officially back. On Tuesday (Oct. 29), Malice took to social media to share the news in a tongue-in-cheek way. In the post we see the man born Eugene Thorton standing in front of a digital sign that says “DEF JAM WELCOMES CLIPSE.” The caption read, “A picture’s worth….” While the label has yet to formally confirm the signing, the move would make sense as his brother Pusha T is already signed to Def Jam Records as a solo artist. Additionally, King Push served as president of Kanye West’s G.O.O.D. Music, which is an imprint of the historic Rap label.
Originally announced in June during an interview with Vulture, the two blood brothers confirmed Pharrell Williams would be producing the entirety of Let God Sort Em Out. “Pharrell producing everything is also an ode to the type of music and the type of albums we want to make. We still want to make full bodies of work. These are movies, man. These aren’t just songs. This isn’t just a collection of joints we went in and banged out. This is tedious,” Pusha T said. Since then, Nas, John Legend and Stove God Cooks have also been confirmed as guest appearances.
Let God Sort Em Out marks the Clipse’s fourth album and first effort in over 15 years.

Pusha T and his brother No Malice are the faces of the new Billionaire Boys Club x Moncler campaign. Moncler’s expertise in luxury innovation meets Billionaire Boys Club’s bold iconography in a capsule collection celebrating the 20th anniversary of Billionaire Boys Club. GQ Magazine caught up with King Push to speak on the drop and more. When asked what were his favorite pieces he revealed his top picks. “There were some knit sweaters, like cut-and-sew sweaters. The actual jacket itself, the puffer with the astronaut emblem on it, is super hard too” he said.
He also discussed a variety of topics including his long time collaborator Pharrell Williams. He made sure to remind the world that Skateboard P will forever be your favorite influencer’s favorite influencer. “He’s always been this guy who was forward-thinking. I mean, he actually was with Louis Vuitton back then” he rationalized. “He had us going crazy over the Millionaires [the sunglasses Pharrell and Nigo released with then Louis Vuitton designer Marc Jacobs in 2004], and so on and so forth.
The “Mercy” rapper also made it clear he is very selective when it comes to Rap beef. “When you look at who’s the talker and you look at what they’ve done and who they are and what they offer to you, it’s funny” he explained. “I’ve been in this game for a minute, and I’ve watched the game, and I’ve watched people at their highs and at their lows. And, mind you, most people are chasing things I’ve never chased in Hip-Hop.”
He also revealed that The Clipse are back in the studio. “I wouldn’t say consistently, but we definitely have been messing around with a few ideas. I’ve been working on a couple different projects at one time, in between touring, and he’s definitely been around and been there to be a part of it. So I think he has been finding the fun in it as well. I don’t be pressing it, but it is always fun to watch him have that fun again.”

While he has been able to hold his own in Rap beefs Pusha T newest enemy are bots. His Twitter was flooded and fans think Drake was behind it.
As spotted on HipHopDX the Virginia Beach, Virginia native face some heavy trolling online on the social media platform. On Sunday, July 16 multiple Twitter accounts unleashed a series of insults aimed at the “Hear Me Clearly” rapper under a post originally made by @RapTV about a Yeat and Lil Uzi Vert song. Each account that participated in the slander featured a name with just a couple a letters and several numbers which is always a tell tale sign that the account is fake.
“Did you know PUSHA T once tripped over his ego” one bot replied. “PUSHA T music is so trash, it makes my ears bleedddd” another bot wrote. More insults came soon after like “I bet PUSHA Ts fans are just as delusional as he is”, “PUSHA Ts music is like a never-ending loop of disappointment” and a very creep pedo allegation “I bet you like the smell of kids bicycle seats.”
Naturally the cyberattack was picked up by the Hip-Hop community and their Twitter fingers quickly pointed to Drake. While the two have seemingly moved on from their Rap beef fans think that Drizzy’s fingerprints all over this job. But if you have done the math you are aware that the Pusha T’s original beef with was Lil Wayne. Back in the day The Clipse felt Weezy jacked their swag; specifically their preference for BAPE clothing. Several shots were sent Wayne’s way throughout that period prompting Drake to jump in. The rest is history.
