Ranch water is a Texas-born concoction made with tequila, lime juice and soda water. Lone River, the leading brand for ranch water in the U.S., was founded by Beal Brown in 2019 and acquired by Diageo in 2021.

Lone River recently introduced the Ranch Rita Variety Pack following the release of the Lone River Ranch Rita Classic Margarita Style beverage last year. Lone River Ranch Water Hard Seltzer is available in original, spicy, rio red grapefruit and prickly pear, while Lone River Ranch Rita Margarita is available in classic, spicy, mango and blood orange. Lone River is carried at major retailers nationwide including Target, BevMo! and Total Wine & More, and available on delivery apps such as Drizly and Instacart.

Lambert saddles up and rides a horse in the multimedia campaign, which she shared on Instagram and Twitter March 29. “Untamed with Lone River,” Lambert captioned the posts. “Ya’ll know I never play by the rules.”

As part of their partnership, Lambert and Lone River will work to “empower likeminded entrepreneurial women” ages 21 and older through a series of luncheons, networking opportunities and other events to be announced in the coming months.

Working with Lone River is the latest business venture for Lambert, who launched her own boot and clothing line — Idyllwind Fueled by Miranda Lambert — in 2018, and a cookware and home goods line, Wanda June, last year. Lambert will release a cookbook, Ya’ll Eat Yet, on April 25.  

The “Actin’ Up” singer resumed her Velvet Rodeo residency in Las Vegas over the weekend after being put on vocal wrest and canceling a show last week. Lambert is scheduled to perform another round of concerts on Thursday (April 6). Click here for tickets.

“Music has been such a big part of our DNA,” Carly Van Sickle, senior director, global brand marketing at W Hotels, told Billboard during a visit to the South Beach location last week. “We’ve always supported up-and-coming musicians and artists. More recently, working with Leah ‘LP Giobbi’ Chisholm [global director of music at W Hotel], our team has really been focusing on the electronic and dance scene, but also making sure that [the experiences are] still varied and connected to local culture.”

With electronic and dance music surging in popularity, and megastars like Beyoncé and Drake exploring the space, the hotel is digging even deeper into the genre by way of W Presents, an “innovative live electronic showcase” featuring artists handpicked by Chisholm, including opening acts from her organization, FEMME House, which creates “equitable opportunities” for women and gender-expansive individuals in the music industry.   

The live music series, announced Wednesday (March 28), will take place in the W’s lobby/lounge area called Living Rooms. Rapper and producer Channel Tres will kick off the series with a performance at the new W Hotel Toronto on April 6.

The live music series comes on the heels of the W South Beach’s Miami Music Week celebration. The hotel hosted a series of events attended by influencers and tastemakers in the EDM scene, including Diplo and Frances Mercier.

Fans from all over the world flocked to Miami for the 10-year anniversary of Miami Music Week. The annual celebration, which was held from March 21-26, coincided with this year’s Ultra Music Festival.

W South Beach invited Billboard to attend its Miami Music Week events and installations, the first of which was an invite-only dinner at Irma’s W South Beach on March 22. The hotel teamed with Senza Fine to present a fine-dining experience co-hosted by Chisholm and Senza Fine co-founder Carlita and sponsored by Volcan De Mi Tierra Tequila.

Attendees included EDM titans and VIPs such as Diplo, Pete Tong, Damien Lazarus, Bedouin, Thomas & Julien de Bie (a.k.a. the “Parallells”), Ape Drums of Major Lazer, Anfisa Letyago, Mercier, Joplyn, Arielle Free, Spotify head of electronic dance development Ronny Ho, WME head of electronic music Stephanie LaFera, and Nü Androids founder Nayef Issa.

The menu, courtesy of DJ Tennis, featured small bites served on tennis rackets and seafood dishes such as blue crab with polenta, wild-caught swordfish, ragu paccheri pasta and fish cigars.

Day 2 kicked off with a yoga session on the beach, led by Ahana Yoga, followed by a breakfast mixer with sounds provided by a guest DJ. New York City wellness company WTHN provided cupping and custom ear seeds, while guests enjoyed fresh fruits, breakfast bites and sips of cacao.

“We want to make sure that W is showing up during cultural music moments, but showing up in a way that isn’t just always a party,” explained Van Sickle. “That’s why we had the dinner and wellness event. We know that it’s super important to take care of artists and people in the industry at large and to take care of mental health and wellness.”

For night 2, the W partnered with Mercier’s Deep Root record label for “Deep Root Tribe,” an Afro-House music event at W South Beach’s WET Deck, sponsored by El Cristiano 1761 Tequila. The event, which was held March 23 and open to the public, featured intimate sets from EDM stars including Major League DJz, &Friends, Bontan, HoneyLuv, Nico De Andrea, Ninetoes, samblacky, D’WITCHES, Gianni Petrarca, Sam Haze and a special performance from Mercier and Diplo.

“Our Wet Decks and pools are a really good platform for music too,” Van Sickle noted. “In Barcelona, for example, they do what they call their Wet Deck summer series. Every summer [there’s] a different lineup, again, free to the public. We want the locals to come in. We want people traveling to know that if they’re looking for music experiences, they can go to W Hotel. We’re popping up in a lot of different ways. Just making sure we’re always activating around that passion point of music.”

W South Beach’s Miami Music Week event series commenced with a panel presented by FEMME House and a cocktail industry mixer at W South Beach’s Living Room. The panel was hosted by FEMME House co-founders Chisholm and HERMIXALOT and discussed creating opportunities for marginalized communities, providing safe spaces for diversity and building “authentic community” in music.

Apart from special events, exquisite rooms and sprawling views, the W Hotel further caters to music fans and creators by offering private recording studios and writer’s rooms. The Sound Suites are available at a few locations, including the W Hollywood, W Seattle and W Bali.

“Ultimately, our goal obviously is to have people stay with us, but we want to make sure that our experiences are open to others too,” said Van Sickle. “We don’t want [these experiences] to be exclusive. We’re inclusive. We want everyone to come, be themselves, have fun and experience the music.

“So it’s both sides of the artist community,” she continued. “It’s a creative space for the community, kind of like a mix of both: fans, but also for artists as well.”

Tapping into the local community is a large part of creating live music experiences at W Hotels around the world. “Local culture is a really big thing for us that we want to tap into,” added Van Sickle.

“I think that post-COVID, we want to make sure we’re bringing these experiences back in a really accessible way, but a fun, innovative, culturally relevant way too.”

Earlier on Wednesday, Gomez hosted a Rare Beauty event celebrating the launch of the heavily anticipated lip oil. The Only Murders in the Building star, who is currently in New York filming the third season of the Hulu series, posed for photos with beauty influencers during the event.

Cardi B’s Whipshots are doing better than ever. The vodka-infused whipped cream has sold more than 2 million cans and expanded into new markets, the brand announced Wednesday (March 29).

“We just went double platinum! We’re not playing around when we say Whipshots is the best,” Cardi said in a statement. “Boozy and beautiful since day one, and two million cans later, there is no slowing us down. I love the fans supporting our brand – let’s keep this party going!”

The Bronx native partnered with Starco Brands to release the boozy, non-dairy whipped cream, which sold its first million cans in just 10 months and went on to sell another million cans four months later.

“The overwhelming demand for Whipshots across the U.S. has been astounding and is a true testament to what’s possible when you have an incredible product and best-in-class retail partners,” noted Starco Brands CEO Ross Sklar.

Cardi B and Starco launched Whipshots in December 2021 with vanilla, mocha and caramel flavors. A limited-edition peppermint flavor was released around the holidays last year.

In addition to reaching a sales milestone, Whipshots has expanded into 26 markets around the U.S. including new states such as Delaware, Georgia, New Jersey and Tennessee.

The brand picked up new retail partners as well, including Meijer, Albertsons, Walmart, Vons, Rouses, Woodman’s and Giant Eagle. Whipshots are also available online at Total Wine & More and through delivery apps such as Instacart, Door Dash, Drizzly and GoPuff.

Although she’s not the only recording artist to sell booze, Cardi opened up about her vision for Whipshots in an interview with Complex last year.

“I feel like if it was just mediocre, people would just be like, ‘Ah, whatever.’ Things are always going to sell when you have hard-core fans, but I wanted this to be big,” she said at the time. “Like, bigger than life, and that is always the goal. So I believe in my product. I love my product. It’s delicious and it’s very strong. And I feel like everybody keeps giving me positive feedback.”

Cue the nostalgia! Tommy Jeans and luxury streetwear brand Aries launched a nostalgic new campaign led by Grammy-nominated rapper GloRilla on Wednesday (March 29).

The 35-piece Tommy x Aries collection features menswear, womenswear and footwear inspired by the Tommy Jeans’ archives with a modern twist, courtesy of Aries.

The retro designs include ‘90s-style silhouettes with exaggerated proportions, split colorways, layers and lots of baggy denim. Some of the key pieces from the collection include a black trucker jacket with a five-pocket matching pant, a jacquard tape logo dress and relaxed indigo denim jacket and baggy split colorway screen-printed jean, similar to what Aaliyah wore in a 1996 campaign for Tommy Jeans.

The Tommy x Aries campaign, which features GloRilla, grime artist Novelist and Aries crew members 5EB, Brian Tshabola, Haajar Djouada, Kasper Kapica, Kirbs, Nathan Rosen and Xiao Wang, was shot by photographer Angelo Pennetta.

Also debuting with the campaign, a film by Aries founder and Creative Director, Sofia Prantera, paying homage to Tommy Jeans’ moments in hip-hop history. The film will feature an instrumental version of GloRilla’s “Unh Unh” with guest verses from Novelist, Kirbs and 5EB.

In keeping with the brand’s devotion to sustainability, pieces from the Tommy x Aries collection include one-of-a-kind items handcrafted by Aries from recycled garments derived from post-consumer waste and surplus materials such as a corset made from the Tommy flag and upcycled denim, cut-out vintage tees, jacquard tape harnesses and a three-shirt asymmetrical jersey dress.

The menswear collection includes remade Tommy flags and graffiti emblems splashed across vintage T-shirts and hoodies. The campaign marks Tommy Hilfiger’s latest collaboration with a Grammy-nominated recording artist since launching a collection with Shawn Mendes earlier in the month.

The Tommy x Aries collection will be available March 31 at select Tommy Hilfiger stores and wholesalers and online at Tommy.com.

Gamers, get ready! There’s an all-new Nintendo Switch OLED console arriving soon.

The Nintendo Switch OLED console, inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom video game, became available for pre-order on Tuesday (March 28).

The console drops April 28 and will retail for $359.99, slightly more than Nintendo’s standard OLED Switch. The special-edition Switch features a Hylian Crest from the Legend of Zelda series on the front of the dock along with other designs inspired by The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

In addition to the gaming system, Nintendo will release a Tears of the Kingdom-edition Nintendo Switch Pro Controller ($74.99) and a matching carrying case ($24.99) on May 12, the same day as the video game’s release.

The Nintendo Switch OLED model and new accessories are available for pre-order at Best Buy and in store at Game Stop while supplies last.

Nintendo Switch OLED boasts a seven-inch screen with 64 GB of internal storage, a wide adjustable stand and dock with a wired LAN port (LAN cable sold separately). The OLED Switch has three playing modes: TV mode, handheld mode (when the Joy-Con controllers are attached for portable play) and tabletop mode. Plus, gamers can enjoy enhanced audio when the console is in handheld and tabletop mode.

Tears of the Kingdom is the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. The game went into development after Breath of the Wild was completed in 2017 and was initially scheduled for release last year.

In Tears of the Kingdom, players get to create their own paths “through the sprawling landscapes of Hyrule and the mysterious islands floating in the vast skies above,” according to Nintendo. The video game features new elements including a floating island that players can soar between.
