Popeyes and McDonald’s will be going to war over your taste buds this summer, and their weapon of choice will be chicken wraps.
The two fast food chains have sparked a chicken wrap war after announcing they will feature similar items on their popular menus.
Popeyes is no stranger to getting folks excited with their menu items; see the legendary chicken sandwich, which sparked a frenzy in hoods everywhere. The company is hoping to recapture that same magic with the introduction of its new chicken wraps, which come in three flavors: spicy, classic, and honey mustard.
McDonald’s wasn’t going to let Popeye’s get all the glory and decided to drop its bombshell, announcing the return of its popular Snack Wraps, which were a staple on the dollar menu before becoming a limited item that occasionally makes appearances.
The two announcements have sparked a hilarious frenzy on social media with folks adding their juiciest and most delicious commentary, even taking things to a conspiratorial route.
Others are pointing out the historical significance of Popeyes introducing a new chicken product, as the last time this happened, the entire world was locked down due to the COVID-19 pandemic. It seems like time is a flat circle, and history is repeating itself.
Other people on X, formerly Twitter, are commenting on the wrap war taking place before our eyes. “They having a wrap battle,” one user wrote on X.

Sinners took a tremendous bite out of the box office, but don’t expect the story of Stack and Mary to continue unless something significant happens to get Ryan Coogler back in the director’s chair.
Speaking with Ebony, Ryan Coogler revealed that he never planned on making a sequel to his period vampire flick, throwing a splash of cold holy water on any speculation that Sinners would become a franchise, like his other projects, Creed and Black Panther.
Even though Coogler secured a historic deal by securing the rights to Sinners, meaning the rights of the film will revert to him after 25 years.
The director told the publication he “never” gave any thought to making a sequel to Sinners.
“I’ve been in a space of making franchise films for a bit, so I wanted to get away from that,” Coogler said. “I was looking forward to working on a film that felt original and personal to me, and had an appetite for delivering something to audiences that was original and unique.”
When watching his film, Coogler explained that he wanted to give audiences a “full meal.”
He continued, “I wanted it to be a holistic and finished thing. That was how I was asked all about it. That was always my intention.”
Coogler’s statement comes after false reports of a Sinners sequel in development flooded both Instagram and X, formerly Twitter, timelines.

Using his favorite soapbox, Instagram, in a series of now-deleted posts, 50 Cent is letting his followers know that he’s not playing regarding his hate for Diddy and that he will do whatever it takes to keep Diddy from securing a pardon from Felon 47.

Now, it’s unlikely that Trump will grant the disgraced rapper/mogul a pardon, but he was asked about it during a Friday press conference, telling reporters, “People have been very close to asking” regarding a pardon for Diddy. However, he claims that no one has reached out to him yet. “I would certainly look at the facts. If I think somebody is mistreated, whether they like me or don’t like me, it wouldn’t have any impact on me.”

It’s no longer orange and blue skies after the NBA’s “most overrated player,” Tyrese Haliburton, and the Indiana Pacers once again sent New York Knicks, Ben Stiller, Timothee Chalamet, Spike Lee, and the rest of the diehard Knickerbocker fans on summer break.
The New York Knicks and their fans thought their 52-year championship drought was coming to an end, but unfortunately, the Indiana Pacers had other plans.
Last night, in a game that started close, the Pacers eventually cruised to a 125-108 Game 6 win over the Knicks, punching their ticket to the NBA Finals for the first time in 25 years to face the Oklahoma City Thunder, where they hope they can win the franchise’s first NBA title.
Out of the gate, the Knicks didn’t let the Gainbridge Fieldhouse crowd affect them, keeping the contest close, trailing by only four points at halftime. But it was clear they couldn’t keep pace with the Pacers, who turned it on in the second half, ending the third quarter with an 11-point lead that the Knicks couldn’t overcome.
It didn’t help that the Knicks’ offense was stifled by the Pacers’ defense in the second half. The clutch player of the year and Knicks’ top offensive weapon, Jalen Brunson, was held to just 19 points and shot 4/10 at the half because Andrew Nembhard locked him down.

Turnovers Killed The Knicks’ Chances
The Pacers also forced 18 Knicks turnovers, scoring 25 fastbreak points, a recipe for disaster for any team trying to win an Eastern Conference Finals series.
After being stifled in Game 5, Tyrese Haliburton returned to form, scoring 21 points and dishing out 13 assists. However, it was Pascal Siakam’s 31-point performance that helped put the Knicks away for good, earning him the series MVP award, which also provided a classic meme moment.

Jalen Brunson Still Has Confidence In This Knicks Team
Despite solid offensive efforts from OG Anunoby, who led all Knicks scorers with 24 points, and Karl-Anthony Towns with 22, it just wasn’t enough.
It didn’t help that Josh Hart, who has been reliable all season, didn’t leave his mark on the game, scoring only 4 points.
Following the game, Brunson says he still believes in this Knicks team as it is constructed, telling reporters he has “The most confidence, overconfident, seriously,” Brunson said. “There’s not an ounce of any type of doubt that I’m confident with this group.”

A Magical Season Comes To A Bitter End
Jalen Brunson and the New York Knicks looked like they were on the verge of a special season after two big playoff series wins, including knocking off the defending champion Boston Celtics.
But it would turn out their biggest test would be the franchise’s longtime rivals, the Indiana Pacers, who have played boogeyman to the Knicks franchise for many years.
Coming into the series, the Knicks had all the momentum, especially after pulling off one of the biggest comebacks in playoff history en route to denying the Celtics the opportunity to defend their 2023-24 NBA championship.
It would turn out that the Knicks would get a taste of their own medicine after they dramatically blew a significant lead in game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals, which led to an insane Tyrese Haliburton buzzer-beater to force overtime, where the Knicks came up short, and eventually would go on to lose the series.

This latest mess involving RFK Jr. and his “Make America Healthy Again” commission report highlights just how dysfunctional and stupid the Trump administration is.
We already know that RFK Jr. is a certified quack and conspiracy theorist who has no business being the head of Health and Human Services, and he continues to show us why.
The MAHA report, which is intended to address the reasons for the decline in US life expectancy, is currently being criticized because all signs indicate that it was generated using AI, specifically ChatGPT.
An investigation by NOTUS revealed that the MAHA report is marred by errors, including broken links, missing or incorrect authors, and incorrect issue numbers.
Other damning revelations highlighted by NOTUS included some studies in the report being misstated to support the report’s claims, as well as studies that didn’t exist.
NOTUS found that at least seven of the cited sources weren’t even real.
But Wait… There’s More
The Washington Post conducted its own investigation and found that 37 of the 522 citations appeared numerous times in the report. URLs in the report were found to contain “oaicite,” a marker used by OpenAI and applied to responses provided by AI models, such as ChatGPT, which is a strong indication that Kennedy and HHS used AI to make the report.
Another giveaway that the MAHA report is nothing more than the product of blatant AI use is the presence of “hallucinations” throughout it, a term used to describe the false information that artificial intelligence models tend to produce.
There is also the fact that RFK Jr. hasn’t been shy about what he describes as the “AI Revolution” and said during a House Committee meeting in May that HHS is “already using these new technologies to manage health care data more efficiently and securely.”
The White House Claims It Was Just “Formatting Issues”
When pressed on the report, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt referred to the errors as “formatting issues,” while avoiding discussion of the use of AI tools.
Leavitt, who has put on a masterclass in lying like her boss since taking on the role of press secretary, also added that the MAHA report is “backed on good science that the federal government has never recognized.”

The Washington Post says the report has since been “updated” with some of the oaicite markers being removed and the nonexistent sources replaced with alternate citations.
In a statement sent to The Washington Post, Department of Health and Human Services spokesman Andrew Nixon said “minor citation and formatting errors have been corrected, but the substance of the MAHA report remains the same — a historic and transformative assessment by the federal government to understand the chronic disease epidemic afflicting our nation’s children.”
Social media isn’t shocked by these developments because of RFK Jr.’s reputation for being a liar and a pusher of medical falsehoods. He also claimed he would find the cause of autism by September.

According to X, formerly Twitter, Donald Trump’s Deputy Chief of Staff and known hater of immigrants, Stephen Miller, might have lost his wife to the richest immigrant on the planet.
Katie Miller, the wife of Stephen Miller, is reportedly following Elon Musk out of the White House, starting rumours that there is trouble in racist paradise, aka the Trump White House.
Three sources familiar with the matter told CNN Katie Miller, who had been working as a top adviser and spokesperson for the Department of Government Efficiency, is joining Musk in the private sector.
Like Musk, Katie Miller was employed as a special government employee since Felon 47’s unfortunate return to the White House while previously being paid by the Republican consulting firm P2 Public Affairs in an advisory capacity for private clients, including Apple, before deciding to work with DOGE.
Miller’s special government employee was set to expire on Friday, hitting the limit of 130 days of service, and according to Raw Story, has been helping Musk by setting up interviews for the Tesla chief not related to his “work” with the government.
In one of his most recent interviews, which many believe was the nail in the coffin for Trump and Musk’s MAGA bromance, Phony Stark was critical of the Orange Menace’s legislative centerpiece of his political agenda, his “big beautiful” budget bill.
Social Media Is Clowning Stephen Miller
When news of Katie Miller joining Musk hit the timelines, “throuple” began trending, with many clowning Stephen Miller, saying that he lost his wife to an immigrant.
Other posts joked about Miller being the next sucker to carry a child for the billionaire procreator. “extremely buried lede today is that Elon Musk probably seduced Stephen Miller’s wife to impregnate her with another test tube baby,” one user on X wrote.
While all of this is happening, Stephen Miller has been rage-tweeting about the fact that Trump’s “big beautiful bill” will explode the debt. He also had kind words to say about the “work” DOGE did, claiming it was just the start of things to come.

Was it worth it? X is asking the billion-dollar question after Elon Musk, aka Phony Stark, announced he is leaving the Trump administration.
Musk announced on the platform he allegedly sold to xAI that his time leading DOGE has come to an end. He also wrote in the same post that he was thankful to Donald Trump for allowing him to run the “cost-cutting” agency, which, however, didn’t achieve significant cost-cutting results.
The Tesla chief was appointed as a “special government employee,” which allowed him to work for the federal government for 130 days. Musk came on board on January 20, Felon 47’s inauguration, which means his tenure would be coming to an end at the end of May.
Elon Musk’s announcement comes after the billionaire criticized his former boss’s legislative centerpiece of his Trump’s political agenda, his “big beautiful” budget bill.
“As my scheduled time as a Special Government Employee comes to an end, I would like to thank President @realDonaldTrump for the opportunity to reduce wasteful spending,” Musk wrote on X.
“The @DOGE mission will only strengthen over time as it becomes a way of life throughout the government.”
Speaking with the BBC, Musk explained why he was not feeling Trump’s “big beautiful bill.”
Per BBC:
The BBC understands that the White House will begin “offboarding” Musk as a special government employee on Wednesday night.
Musk’s exit comes after he said he was “disappointed” with Trump’s budget, which proposes multi-trillion dollar tax breaks and a boost to defence spending.
The SpaceX and Tesla boss said in an interview with BBC’s US partner CBS that the bill would increase the federal deficit, adding that he thought it “undermines the work” being done at Doge.
Musk’s association with the MAGA movement has also not been beneficial for his business, which has been struggling since he invested in Trump and the Make America Great Again initiative.
Tesla is currently experiencing a slump in Europe, with sales plummeting by nearly 50 percent, which many believe is also the reason Musk decided to step back from politics.
Social media has been using the moment to take shots at Musk, as well as point out that he used his time as a donor to Trump to ensure he stays wealthy despite his business taking a hit.

That Black Panther standalone we were all excited for is no longer happening.
IGN broke the news that EA has taken away Cliffhanger Games’ heart-shaped herb and has cancelled one of the games Marvel fans have been eagerly anticipating since it was first announced back in July 2023.
According to the website, EA Entertainment President Laura Miele stated in an email that the recent changes, cancellations, and other moves were aimed at “sharpening our focus and putting our creative energy behind the most significant growth opportunities.”
The bad news for the gaming industry doesn’t stop there, EA is also laying off an unspecified number of workers on both mobile and central teams. IGN reports that EA declined to comment on the specific number but believes, while not confirming that the number is less than the roughly 300 employees let go last month across Respawn and EA’s Fan Care teams.
“These decisions are hard,” said Miele. “They affect people we’ve worked with, learned from, and shared real moments with. We’re doing everything we can to support them — including finding opportunities within EA, where we’ve had success helping people land in new roles.”
Gamers Are Sad About Black Panther’s Cancellation & Layoffs At EA
As you can imagine, the gaming community isn’t taking this news very well.
“You’ve got to be fucking kidding me. First Wonder Woman (a female led game) gets cancelled and now Black Panther (a poc led game) gets cancelled, and neither of them ever had a video game before. This really is Trvmp’s America…” one post on X, formerly Twitter, read.
“more layoffs as the Black Panther game cancelled and the studio closed it keeps getting worse :(,” Kinda Funny and GamerTag Radio’s Parris Lilly said.
While we are not getting the Black Panther game, EA says it is still committed to bringing us that Iron Man game currently being developed by Motive, and will focus on Battlefield, The Sims, Skate, and Apex Legends.
What a sad time to be a gamer and Marvel fan, just saying.
