Where to Watch NBC’s Wicked: One Wonderful Night Special
DIRECTV is our top choice for those looking to watch the special live for free with the service’s five-day free trial. A subscription, which gives you access to watch NBC, runs you just $49.99 for the first month of service ($89.99 a month afterward).
You’ll get access to live TV, local networks such as NBC, ABC and PBS, and you can also watch many cable networks, including FS1, Lifetime, FX, AMC, A&E, Bravo, BET, MTV, Paramount Network, Cartoon Network, VH1, Fuse, CNN, Food Network, CNBC and many others (some local channels are not available in select markets). That’s more than 90 channels that you can tap into, once you’re done watching the Wicked special, of course.
If you don’t have access to live TV, not to fret. You can watch the special the next day, Friday, Nov. 7, via Peacock. A standard subscription to the streaming service runs you $10.99 a month, while the commercial-free Premium Plus is $16.99 a month. With a subscription to the service, users have access to an expansive library of movies, along with NBC, Bravo shows and Peacock Originals.
Unlike other streaming services, Peacock has a more diverse library with titles usually not seen on other platforms. The service is also one of the more affordable ones on our list.
If you don’t have a DIRECTV account, you can also always watch the special live with Fubo TV. To watch, you’ll want to subscribe to a Fubo TV Pro plan, which includes NBC, for $54.99 for the first month ($84.99 a month afterward). When you sign up for the service right now, you’ll be saving yourself $30 off for the first month of service. Plus, Fubo has a seven-day free trial to watch the Wicked TV special for free.
Sling TV is another option for those looking to watch the special live via the service’s Sling Blue or Sling Orange + Blue plans. A monthly Sling Blue subscription costs $50.99, while a Sling Orange + Blue bundle will run you just $29.99 right now for your first month. Both subscriptions give users access to top news, sports and entertainment channels, including NBC along with ESPN, NFL Network, USA, TNT, Bravo, FOX News, CNN, and more. Sports Extra includes SEC, ACC, Big 10, NFL RedZone, ESPNU, Golf Channel, and more.
The event features musical performances — both from Ariana Grande and Cynthia Erivo — plus appearances from Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, Ethan Slater, Saturday Night Live’s Bowen Yang and Marissa Bode. Fans also may just get a sneak peek of Wicked: For Good if they stick around long enough.
The special was filmed in October at the iconic Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles in front of a live audience. Per a synopsis provided by NBC, “Wicked: One Wonderful Night transforms the legendary venue into a breathtaking Emerald City-inspired set, complete with a 37-piece live orchestra led by the award-winning musical director Stephen Oremus, plus jaw-dropping musical numbers and unforgettable performances.”
More About Wicked: For Good
Following the box office success that was Wicked in 2024, Wicked: For Good hits theaters on Friday, Nov. 21, just one day shy of the one-year anniversary of the film’s first half. The sequel was first announced on X in April from director Jon M. Chu’s “OzPhone.” The filmmaker wrote at the time, “With more space, we can tell the story of Wicked as it was meant to be told while bringing even more depth and surprise to the journeys of these beloved characters.”
Following the cheeky post, fans and followers of the franchise were treated to a trailer on June 4, sharing first looks at Glinda and Elphaba’s journeys following the very dramatic “Defying Gravity” sequence and a hefty cliffhanger folks were left with in part one. In the meantime, watch the trailer for Wicked: One Wonderful Night below:

Peacock revealed the cast for the fourth season of The Traitors on Friday (June 13), including Donna Kelce, Monet X Change, Eric Nam and more.
In a video posted to social media, host Alan Cumming unveiled the cast by deliciously teasing, “Ah, dear me … what treachery awaits us this season? The fates whisper of betrayal. Backstabbing. And the occasional dagger in the dark. Let us see whose murderous destinies are forever entwined in my castle walls: the cards never lie. People on the other hand? Constantly.”
The hit reality show will be Mama Kelce’s first TV appearance after she starred in a pair of Hallmark Channel holiday movies in 2024. Meanwhile, Monet X Change will be following in the well-heeled footsteps of fellow RuPaul’s Drag Race winner Bob the Drag Queen, who also happens to be his co-host on their popular Sibling Rivalry podcast, and Nam becomes the first K-pop idol to compete on the series.
After (spoiler alert!) being the very first contestant in the castle murdered by Bob and the rest of the Traitors last season, Dorinda Medley will also get a much-deserved second shot to play the game, joining fellow Bravolebrities Lisa Rinna, Candiace Dillard Bassett, Porsha Williams and Caroline Stanbury of the Real Housewives franchise and Top Chef winner-turned-host Kristen Kish.
Trending on Billboard
Of course, there are plenty of other competition show alumni as well, which is sure to set up the now-signature “Gamers vs. Housewives” rivalry in the castle. Gamers to watch out for amid the lochs and highlands this season include Survivor stars Rob Cesternino, Yam Yam Arocho and Natalie Anderson, as well as Big Brother‘s Tiffany Mitchell and Ian Terry.
Meanwhile, Bachelor Nation alum Colton Underwood and Stephen Colletti of Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County and One Tree Hill fame are both obvious contenders to fill the hunky role in the castle established by Peter Weber and Dylan Efron in past seasons. And Olympic figure skaters Tara Lipinski and Johnny Weir will add a dose of athleticism to the show’s endurance-testing physical challenges along with Mark Ballas of Dancing With the Stars.
Other famous faces rounding out the season 4 cast include actor Michael Rapaport, comedian Ron Funches and Rob Rausch and Maura Higgins of Love Island.
While a release date for the upcoming season of The Traitors has yet to be announced, expect the murders, banishments and parade of tartan to begin imminently as the 23 contestants descend on Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands.
Watch Cumming’s full season 4 cast reveal along with a first look at The Traitors‘ famous wall of portraits for the new season below.

The 90-minute documentary tracks the hip-hop mogul, from his early life struggles to his rise to fame within the music industry. There are several appearances throughout the doc from members in Diddy’s inner circle including former employees, childhood friends, bodyguards, and even a Making The Band contestant, all recounting their tales of dealing with Combs throughout his career. However, the most notable appearance is from singer Al B. Sure!, who details accusations regarding domestic abuse and death of Kim Porter, his and Combs late former partner.

We know you care. Legendary spin the block couple, Nelly and Ashanti, are getting a docuseries at Peacock.
Deadline exclusively reports the music superstars will be the focal point of a docuseries fresh off their secret marriage and the birth of their first child.
According to the website, the series will be filmed and produced by Nelly, Ashanti, and Critical Content, the company behind the Netflix documentary Sly and MTV’s Catfish. It will follow the celebrity couple. The Haynes will also executive produce alongside Jenny Daly and Oji Singletary at Critical Content Studios.
Deadline also reports the series has been filming for the past few months, but no did not share when we can expect to see the series on the streamer.
Nelly & Ashanti’s Love Timeline
Nelly and Ashanti’s legendary love story began in 2003 and ended in 2013 before a chance encounter during the VERZUZ event (remember those?) between Fat Joe and Ja Rule when they were both brought in as special guests to participate in the music battle.
In April 2024, Ashanti confirmed what we all knew: that she was pregnant with the couple’s first child, born in July. We also learned the couple, without much fanfare, got married in December 2023 in Missouri.
The upcoming docuseries will mark Nelly’s return to television. He starred in 2014-2015’s Nellyville, which lasted for two seasons on BET, and the Kevin Hart-led mockumentary Real Husbands of Hollywood. The “Country Grammar” rapper also starred in Adam Sandler’s The Longest Yard remake and an episode of CSI: New York. He also showed off his dance moves when he competed in Dancing With The Stars.
Ashanti was also bit by the Hollywood bug, starring in movies like Resident Evil: Extinction and series like Army Wives and Love & Listings.
Will you be tuned in? Let us know.
As Saturday Night Live continues to celebrate its 50th anniversary, Peacock has shared the first look of its upcoming four-part docuseries, SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night. An immersive undertaking that honors the vast legacy of SNL, the new docuseries features over 60 contributors, including current and former SNL alumni, and covers decades of the iconic show’s history.

“Anybody could do comedy,” says former cast member Tracy Morgan in the new trailer. “I could teach all of y’all in here how to tell jokes and do comedy, but are you funny?”
Morgan is joined by some of the show’s most notable cast members, hosts, and writers – including Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Jimmy Fallon, Al Franken, Amy Poehler, Bobby Moynihan, Bowen Yang, Pete Davidson, Tom Hanks, Kevin Nealon, Andy Samberg, Dana Carvey, Bob Odenkirk, Seth Meyers, Jon Lovitz, Keenan Thompson, and more – as they reflect upon the history and impact that SNL has had over the decades.

“It’s an American institution,” adds former writer and host Larry David.
The first episode of the series, “Five Minutes”, goes deep into the SNL audition process, including previously unseen audition footage and firsthand accounts of the nerve-wracking affair from some of the show’s most notable names. The writing process, including the oft-overlooked writers of the historic sketches, is the focus of the second episode, fittingly titled “Written By: A Week Inside The SNL Writers Room.”
Episode three goes deep into the titular “More Cowbell” sketch and the lasting impact that the 2000 segment had upon comedy, while the fourth and final episode lifts the curtain on “Season 11: The Weird Year,” as it examines the pivotal year which helped to reset the show’s trajectory and cemented its place in television history with Lorne Michaels at the helm.
The broadcast is directed by Robert Alexander, Marshall Curry, Neil Berkeley, and Jason Zeldes, and produced by Tremolo Productions, Jonathan Formica, and Allison Klein. Academy and Emmy Award winner Morgan Neville also serves as executive producer alongside Caitrin Rogers.
“I’ve been obsessed with Saturday Night Live as long as I can remember,” says Neville. “For SNL50, I’ve been lucky to collaborate with some of my favorite independent filmmakers to tell some deeper stories of SNL. Taken together, these standalone episodes give a new perspective of SNL and what makes it work.”
SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night will premiere on Jan. 16 as a streaming exclusive on Peacock. The documentary is part of a collection of celebratory programming, including the Questlove-directed Ladies & Gentlemen… 50 Years of SNL Music NBC documentary on Jan. 27 and a live primetime special on Feb. 16 on NBC and Peacock.
