“Brilla Conmigo” is a short-form video series featuring Latin artists Elena Rose, Mariangela and Joaquina showcasing how beauty, health and wellness fuel their creativity. Through candid conversations, they discuss how self-care, cultural pride and personal empowerment nurture confidence, which plays a key role in their artistry. Partnering with Invisalign to enhance their smiles and self-esteem, they share how feeling their best physically and mentally elevates their performance and creativity. The series highlights how beauty and wellness are essential to their lives, inspiring viewers to prioritize their own confidence and well-being.

Elena Rose:
Feeling beautiful is being beautiful. I see beauty in everything. It’s what feeds my art. I’m just so grateful that I get to do what I love. And I don’t want to miss out on anything. Any opportunity we have to do, something that we feel is good for us is going to bring a positive result. Beauty, health and wellness have become a consequence of a lot of things that I’ve had to do in order to feel that confidence. My spirituality is my core. I protect my heart in so many ways. But I don’t get in the middle of my heart living. When I speak about beauty, I like it more when people tell me that they feel my beauty more than they see it. Invisalign is the No. 1 doctor recommended clear aligner.

Joaquina:
I have a mentor who once told me, “Look, Joaqui, your only obligation when it comes to making music is to translate your own version of beauty.” And that’s what I try to do. I think that when you see a woman who is so sure of herself, in the end, that inspires you. And for me to be able to have a treatment that would help me have a smile that made me feel good, to have aligners like Invisalign that help me to maintain that smile that I like, has been something crucial in my life. I think when you have the opportunity to physically show your happiness and feel comfortable with it, it inevitably shows. And that’s what I want with my smile. I love to smile. I love to always be laughing. Invisalign is the No. 1 recommended clear aligner.

Mariangela:
The truth is I’m always smiling. But now I smile with more confidence. The smile is the flower of the heart, and what’s better than after an Invisalign treatment that your flower is prettier and more cared for? Taking care of myself and taking the time in the day to put on Invisalign aligners empowers me. This year is definitely the year of empowerment for Mariangela. I love everything glam, glitter, fluorescent colors, because I’m expressing my personality. I mean, in my outfits I think that I can best express the beauty of my projects and, in my head, all my creativity. Five minutes a day that you dedicate to yourself is enough. The Invisalign treatment is super easy, super simple and super fast.  I think that is what excited me most about talking to my friends about Invisalign. Invisalign is the No. 1 doctor recommended clear aligner.

Ahmir ‘Questlove’ Thompson & Joseph Patel Discuss ‘Sly Lives!’ | Billboard in Conversation

Billboard‘s Deputy Editorial Director Damien Scott spoke with Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson (executive producer and director) and Joseph Patel (producer) of Sly Lives! (aka the Burden of Black Genius) about the film’s creation and the enduring impact of Sly Stone’s legacy, both historically and in today’s culture. Check out the documentary, available now Hulu.

Damien Scott:
What’s up, everyone. I’m Damien Scott. I’m the deputy editorial director at Billboard, and today we have two very special guests. I’m joined by the Academy Award winning duo Amir “Questlove” Thompson and Joseph Patel, the director and producer of these groundbreaking work Sly Lives! I’ll say the whole title, just so everyone knows when you see it: Sly Lives! (aka the Burden of Black Genius). Thank you …

Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson:
Thank you for having us.

Damien Scott:
… for coming through to Billboard today. Most people know Sly Stone as an innovator. He’s the guy who essentially blended all of the popular genres together to create this newfound gumbo that became … what became basically American pop music, in a way. Why did you choose to focus on Sly right now?

Ahmir “Questlove” Thompson:
I believe that we chose Sly or Sly chose us. Sly is in a very unique position in the American music pantheon, and Sly is essentially the first Black megastar, kind of in an era, and I’ll say this lightly with air quotes, where there was supposed to be no limits. Sly’s success is a little bit different than Ray Charles or Chuck Berry or James Brown, anyone that was entertaining during either the Reconstruction period or the Civil Rights period. So Sly is basically kind of the embodiment of what Martin Luther King’s “I Have a Dream” speech was about, like this utopian multiracial mix of Black and whites, men and women together.

So welcome to Billboard and White Claw here in beautiful Miami Beach. It’s a little bit windy. I hope I have my clip in case my hair goes all over the place. But we’re so lucky to have one of the greats of Latin music here. One of the greats of Reggaeton, urban music, trap, funk. This guy does it all. He has 15 songs on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart, he currently has a song on the Billboard Hot 100. Ladies and gentlemen, let’s give it up for De la Ghetto!

Good evening, everybody. How’s everybody feeling? We’re here. White Claw and Billboard in the building. Leila, you’re looking great.

So do you, honey. I’ve been running into you all over Miami, like, three times in the last few months.

Easy, Easy. Last time was on the panel.

On the panel, then at the Grammys.

I didn’t want to say.

No, no.

I don’t want Billboard to get mad.

In that other award right?

There were a couple of music awards.

That other award that wasn’t Billboard.

I don’t want to say.

No, let’s not. You were very fashionable all those times and tonight, too. Tell us what you’re wearing because these are white leather pants.

These are white leather pants, purple Nikes. I’m a Nike fanatic with the dunks and Air Forces.
