Nia Long’s son is getting well taken care of. A judge ordered that the actress’ ex, NBA head coach Ime Udoka, will have to fork over $32,500 in monthly child support.

A judge signed off on the agreement on Monday (Jan. 22). Before any of y’all get in your feelings about the guy getting taxed, TMZ reports the court looked over both their financials and it turns out Udoka is making much more bank than Long at the moment thanks to his Houston Rockets gig.
Reports TMZ:

Per the docs, obtained by TMZ, it’s actually Nia who’ll be receiving monthly child support — and even though the court said she might be entitled to upwards of $56k … the 2 parents ended up landing on about half of that, with Ime agreeing to pay her $32,500/month.
The couple went through their financials — as did the court — and found Ime makes way more money coaching the Houston Rockets right now than Nia does … noting he’s got more than $400k in net monthly disposable income, whereas she’s only got about $20k.
While the ex-couple will continue with joint legal custody, Long will actually have sole physical custody of their son, Kez, while Udoka will get visitation rights.
Reportedly, all the aforementioned had already been negotiated and agreed to by both sides, but on Monday the court basically put their stamp of approval on it.
And now, the social media peanut gallery is chiming in because…this is the type of tea it loves. Also, Udoka cheating on Nia Long makes him a target of slander from now until infinity. Those are the rules. See reactions in the gallery.

Jeezy, who recently ended a nearly two-decade run with Def Jam, is moving into new roles after releasing a book and other massive life changes. Sitting down with Nia Long for a revealing chat in support of his new double album, the rapper born Jay Jenkins bares it all with the veteran actress, and the pair share jewels of their journey along the way.
On Tuesday (November 7), Jeezy released the highly-anticipated hour-long YouTube chat with Nia Long titled after his 13th studio album, I Might Forgive… But I Don’t Forget. Long, serving as the lead interviewer, gets Jeezy to open up about his childhood before getting into his rise as one of the most consistent rappers in the game. However, the questions weren’t one-sided as Sno also asked his series of questions of Long, with the pair sharing intimate details of their upbringing.
Of course, this discussion turned to the topic of Jeezy’s recent split with Jeannie Mai, and while he never says anything negative about Mai, he makes it clear that he tried to save their union. This, in turn, inspired Long to open up about her past relationship with current Houston Rockets head coach Ime Udoka and the explosive scandal that occurred when he coached the Boston Celtics.
After remaining poised and professional, Long appeared to be emotional when speaking about her former relationship and raising the former couple’s son. However, whatever work that Nia Long and Jeezy have done in therapy is apparently paying dividends.
In our opinion, it’s one of the best things you’ll watch today if you’re into seeing a Black man and a Black woman get honest about their struggles with one another. There are still some online that aren’t buying some of the points raised in the conversation, but mostly many of the comments online have remained positive.

Nia Long has officially filed court documents to request primary custody of her 11-year-old son with former Boston Celtics coach Ime Udoka. In the filing, the beloved actress claims that Udoka has “failed” to support their son.
The papers were filed by Nia Long in Los Angeles County Superior Court on August 14, according to a report from Entertainment Tonight. The outlet obtained the documents and combed through the fine print. In the papers, Long is asking for legal and physical custody of their boy, but is asking that Udoka has, “reasonable visitation to Respondent consistent with the child’s best interest.”

Udoka, who now sits as the head coach for the Houston Rockets, has not made a response to the filing nor has a judge ruled on the matter. As ET notes, Long’s filing comes almost a year after she and Udoka split after an explosive scandal took place in Boston with allegations of affairs with a woman who worked for the Celtics organization coming forth.
As previously reported, Udoka was suspended by the Celtics in the wake of the scandal going wide and eventually signed with the Houston Rockets. The Rockets, although stacked with young talent, had by most accounts a dismal 2022-23 NBA campaign with hopes that Udoka can bring the winning touch he displayed in Boston to the Texas team.
Nia Long and Ime Udoka were together for 13 years according to reports.
