Taylor, who’s in a relationship with Travis, has been attending her beau’s games since late September — and the NFL’s network partners have made the most of televising cutaways to the pop star as she cheers him on. Her regular attendance at Chiefs games has boosted TV ratings, ticket sales and jersey sales, and resulted in an uptick in social media followers for NFL- and Chiefs-associated accounts.
“The attention is there because the audience wants to see it,” Jason told Caleb Noe, a reporter for Cincinnati ABC affiliate WCPO 9, in a recent interview. “I mean, if people didn’t want to see it, they wouldn’t be showing it. I know that.”
“She’s a world star,” Jason said. “She’s the quintessential artist right now in the world, singer-songwriter, immensely talented, unbelievable role model for young women across the globe. So I think that the NFL would probably be foolish not to, you know, show her and be a role model for all the young girls out there.”
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell told CBS Mornings in November, “I think it’s great for the league to have that kind of attention. We welcome it.”
On the latest episode of their joint podcast New Heights, the Kelce brothers reflected on the Chiefs’ Jan. 28 AFC Championship win against the Baltimore Ravens.
Swift was in the crowd along with the Kelce family at M&T Bank Stadium in Maryland from start to finish, and afterward on the field to celebrate the Chiefs being Super Bowl-bound. She kissed Travis on live TV, and Travis audibly told her “I love you” on the field.
“Shout-out to the newest members of the Chiefs Kingdom,” Jason joked on the Jan. 31 episode of the podcast. “Taylor Swift, who has officially reached the Super Bowl in her rookie year.”
Swift has a show in Tokyo the day before the Super Bowl, which is taking place in Las Vegas. The Embassy of Japan is assuring fans that the superstar will have time to make it to the game after her Eras Tour plays at the Tokyo Dome from Feb. 7-10.
“The Embassy of Japan in the United States is aware of recent media reports concerning the steps Taylor Swift will need to take to travel from Tokyo after her concert on February 10th to Las Vegas in time to watch the Kansas City Chiefs play in Super Bowl LVIII,” a Feb. 2 statement read.
“Despite the 12-hour flight and 17-hour time difference, the Embassy can confidently Speak Now to say that if she departs Tokyo in the evening after her concert, she should comfortably arrive in Las Vegas before the Super Bowl begins. We know that many people in Japan are excited to experience Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, so we wanted to confirm that anyone concerned can be Fearless in knowing that this talented performer can wow Japanese audiences and still make it to Las Vegas to support the Chiefs when they take the field for the Super Bowl wearing Red.”

Travis Kelce is loving having Taylor Swift by his side as he and the Kansas City Chiefs continue to dominate the NFL season. During a press conference on Friday (Feb. 2), the tight end was asked about having Swift and family members like brother Jason Kelce on the field with him after the Chiefs won […]
Charles Barkley has a simple message for NFL fans hating on Taylor Swift. “If you’re screaming at T-Swift saying she ruined [football], you’re just a loser,” the TV presenter and former basketball player said on CNN this week. “You’re just a loser or a jacka–. You can be A or B. One of the two.” […]
An important piece of the Tayvis timeline has finally been clarified, thanks to Travis Kelce. In a recent interview, the Kansas City Chiefs tight end revealed exactly how long he and Taylor Swift knew each other before she first broke the internet by attending one of his games at Arrowhead Stadium in Missouri late September.
“We had known each other for close to a month up to that point,” Kelce said on The Pat McAfee Show Wednesday (Jan. 31), smiling.
Leading up to that fateful Sept. 24 Chiefs vs. Chicago Bears game, the player had actually teased that Swift might attend on McAfee’s show. “I threw the ball in her court,” he said at the time. “I told her, ‘I’ve seen you rock the stage in Arrowhead, you might have to come see me rock the stage in Arrowhead.’”
Even so, Swifties and NFL fans alike were shocked when the “Anti-Hero” singer did show up to cheer Kelce on in a box suite alongside his mom, Donna. But, as No. 87 said in the new interview, “It wasn’t just an out of the blue, ‘Hey, come to the game.’”
“It’s exciting for me, but it was all brand new, man,” he added of the beginnings of his relationship with the musician. “From having the paparazzi follow me every single day into work to everybody having my name on their talk show every single day … It’s been a crazy, crazy ride that I could have never anticipated. But I’m having fun with it. The majority of the world is having fun with it, outside all the cranky NFL fans that just don’t want to see the Chiefs win.”
Swift herself previously cleared up that she and Kelce were already a couple by the time she went to her first game, telling TIME in her Person of the Year cover story, “We actually had a significant amount of time that no one knew, which I’m grateful for, because we got to get to know each other.”
“I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game?” she continued in the December interview. “We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”
Since then, the 12-time Grammy winner has attended about a dozen of Kelce’s games, and fans are hopeful she’ll make it to the Super Bowl in Las Vegas Feb. 11. At the AFC Championship game Sunday (Jan. 28), Swift joined the Ohio native down on the field at M&T Bank Stadium in Maryland following the Chiefs’ 17-10 victory against the Baltimore Ravens, kissing him in front of NFL cameras.
“I love it when Taylor comes and supports me and enjoys the game with the fam and friends,” Kelce gushed to McAFee. “It’s been nothing but a wonderful year, man.”

Shannon Sharpe is feeling the wrath of Beyoncé fans after some recent comments.
The Hall-of-Famer/ NFL champion turned ESPN analyst and media personality is catching heat online after comments he made about Beyoncé and Taylor Swift.
During a recent episode of his Nightcap show with former NFL player Chad Ochocinco, the ESPN’s First Take analyst talked about Taylor Swift and her recent appearances at NFL games to watch her boyfriend, Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce, play.
Sharpe read an article detailing how Swift’s presence has generated an extra $300 million in revenue for the team, claiming no other artist has that type of impact on the league. Ochocinco countered by bringing up Beyconcé.
The Club Shay Shay host disagreed, saying, “Not like this. Beyoncé ain’t moving the needle like this chick.”
He added, “The NFL can have anybody do halftime. I guarantee Taylor Swift is first.”
The Hive Was Not Feeling Shannon Sharpe’s Comments
Of course, the Hive, Beyoncé’s loyal fanbase, caught wind of Sharpe’s statements immediately, pointing out that if the Houston singer were dating an NFL player and attending their games, she would most definitely have the same impact.
“If Beyoncé was single and dating cam newton or an Odell in thier prime definitely would have moved the needle,” one user on X, formerly Twitter, wrote.
Another X user added, “Now Unc I’m with you when you’re right but if Beyonce was with an NFL player she would’ve moved the needle just like Taylor if not further!”
Some came to Sharpe’s defense, adding, “Shannon right nobody moving needles like Taylor.”
We’ll have to call C A P on this because we all know when Beyoncé does something, the world stops.

A year ago, Taylor Swift was a born and raised Philadelphia Eagles fan. Now, she’s modeling Kansas City Chiefs gear with Brittany Mahomes at an AFC Championship game. The pop star and women’s soccer team owner proudly showed off their AFC Champions caps in newly shared photos on Brittany’s Instagram from the Sunday (Jan. 28) […]
Taylor Swift may not actually be on the Kansas City Chiefs, but as far as Travis Kelce is concerned, she’s the MVP.
On the latest episode of their joint podcast New Heights, Travis and his older brother, Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce, reflected on the Chiefs’ Sunday (Jan. 28) AFC Championship win against the Baltimore Ravens. Swift was in the crowd along with the tight end’s family at M&T Bank Stadium in Maryland from start to finish, and afterward joined the younger Kelce on the field to celebrate his team being Super Bowl-bound for the second year in a row.
“Shout-out to the newest members of the Chiefs Kingdom,” Jason joked on the Wednesday (Jan. 31) podcast. “Taylor Swift, who has officially reached the Super Bowl in her rookie year.”
“Shout-out to Tay!” Travis added. “Thanks for joining the team!”
The pop star’s fans are still reeling after Sunday’s emotional post-game celebrations, from the moment Swift kissed Travis on live TV to the way No. 87 audibly told her “I love you” on the field. At one point, the “Anti-Hero” singer also shared a moment with Chiefs coach Andy Reid, who singled her out in the crowd while he was onstage accepting the AFC trophy with Travis and quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
“It was a cool moment to see afterwards,” Travis said, showing a photo of Reid and Swift affectionately pointing at each other. “I didn’t get to see it because I was up on stage screaming ‘Fight for your right,’ but yeah, that was a cool one.”
The brothers have previously spoken about how Reid has been a friend of Swift’s family since before the musician and her parents moved to Nashville from the Philadelphia area, where Big Red once worked for the Eagles.
“That was the last thing Trav wanted to hear, that I knew her before him,” Reid boasted on Let’s Go With Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray earlier this week. “She told him, ‘I know your coach. And he went, ‘Oh, God, come on!’”
“Obviously we’ve already talked about how they kinda know each other from the Philly days,” Travis rehashed on his podcast, before giving a shout-out to the 12-time Grammy winner’s dad. “Scott Swift, shout-out to big Scott. Him and Andy are good friends.”

Eminem proved he bleeds Honolulu blue, dark steel grey and white. The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame rapper repeatedly showed up during the Detroit Lions run to a heartbreaking NFC Championship loss to the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday, showing beyond a doubt that he is a lion for life.
Which made his X post on Tuesday (Jan. 30) about shelving a planned diss track aimed at the team’s offensive coordinator, Ben Johnson, that much funnier. After rumors floated that Johnson had turned down offers for head coaching positions in Seattle and Washington to stay in the Motor City, Slim Shady said he holstered his mic.
“Guess I should stop recording this diss track..!! Lol!!,” Eminem tweeted. “@ Ben Johnson Thank you for staying!!! We can’t break this team up ESPECIALLY since I’M on it!!! Coach Campbell we love you bro!!! Let’s run it back next year!!…I’m READY!!!! I promise you I WILL get us to the super bowl!!!”
After years of wallowing in also-ran status, the Lions had a magical season that put them on the brink of their first Super Bowl appearance. That dream was deferred, however, when they had a historic meltdown against the 49ers, blowing a 17-point lead on their way to Sunday’s 34-31 loss.
Eminem’s bit about being on the team was a callback to his earlier social media posts boosting his favorite ballers. Two weeks ago, he was spotted in a skybox when the Lions punched their first ticket to the NFC Championship game in 32 years, where the big screen flashed a September tweet from the rapper in which he wrote, “Let’s f–king go!!!! Detroit.” That got fans hyped while the stadium speakers blasted his iconic 8 Mile pump-up anthem, “Lose Yourself.”
The cameras then showed Slim Shady, decked out in Lions gear, jumping up to flex and scream before pounding his chest during the game in which the Lions topped the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. At the time, Em also responded to a meme featuring a picture of his 8 Mile character B-Rabbit driving around town with the caption, “[Lions QB Jared] Goff and the Lions pulling up to the NFC Championship game,” writing, “Can’t believe I did it again!!! @Lions.”
That tweet was the sequel to one Eminem posted the week before, telling Lions coach Dan Campbell that he was ready to suit up to help break the team’s three-decade playoff drought. “Yo, Dan, I’m reporting. I’m going to report. Third quarter,” the 5’8′, 150 pound rapper said. “I’m reporting, offensive line, eligible receiver. I’ll be the quarterback, the entire line, (the) offensive line. And the receiver, I will throw it to myself and score a touchdown. In the third quarter. Just give me a uniform. Or at least just a helmet.”
Bleeding blue clearly runs in the family, as evidenced by a family pic post from the rapper’s daughter, Hailie Jade Scott, from Sunday’s loss. Though Em was not in the shots, the 28-year-old Just a Little Shady podcaster shared pics of herself in a custom Lions jacket, as well as one of her with fiancé Evan McClintock, Em’s half-brother Nate, her sister Alaina Marie Scott and Alaina’s husband.

Travis Kelce is officially the king of Taylor Swift’s heart. After the Kansas City Chiefs’ AFC Championship win against the Baltimore Ravens Sunday (Jan 28), the 34-year-old tight end had an emotional moment with his superstar girlfriend on the field, and in a newly shared clip from the NFL, he says “I love you” to the pop star.
In the Monday (Jan. 29) video, a tearful Kelce – wearing an AFC Champions shirt over his shoulder pads – makes his way through a loud crowd to get to Swift. “Tay, I’m going to enjoy with the guys,” he says before kissing the 12-time Grammy winner. “I love you.”
Then, wrapping Swift in a tight hug, he adds, “So much it’s not funny.”
The NFL simply captioned the sweet video, “What a moment for @tkelce [heart emoji].”
Kansas City’s latest win means that the reigning Super Bowl champions will once again head to the big game on Feb. 11 in Las Vegas. They will face off against 2024’s NFC Championship victors, the San Francisco 49ers.
Swift has been there for much of the Chiefs’ outstanding season, becoming a mainstay at Arrowhead Stadium ever since going public with her and Kelce’s relationship in September. On Sunday, she was joined by friends Keleigh Sperry and Cara Delevingne in a box suite at M&T Bank Stadium in Maryland, as well as Kelce’s parents, brother (Eagles center Jason Kelce) and sister-in-law Kylie Kelce.
Swifties have been, collectively, an emotional wreck since seeing the “Anti-Hero” singer share a number of adorable moments with Kelce over the weekend, from proudly watching him give a post-game speech to passionately kissing him on the field to celebrate his win — but the NFL’s new clip might just take the cake.
“things that altered my brain chemistry: Travis telling Taylor he loves her so much it isn’t funny. what if i die?” one fan tweeted, re-posting the video.
“i am literally driving to the psych ward as we speak,” hyperbolized another Swiftie, while a third wrote that they were “GIGGLING AND KICKING MY FEET AND CLAPPING MY HANDS TOGETHER LIKE A SEAL.”
See the moment Kelce tells Swift he loves her — plus some of the best fan reactions – below.
