BTS dropped a special episode of their variety web series Run BTS on Tuesday (Nov. 29).
In the nearly 40-minute episode, the K-pop idols take turns hosting their own variety segments while their bandmates chime in with commentary via a shared chatroom.
J-Hope kicked off the proceedings with a silly and absurd round of reviewing toys, starting with — ahem — a pooping pink flamingo. (Don’t worry, “If you are eating right now, please stop right now!!!” flashed onscreen as a hilarious warning before the bird did its business on the accompanying toy toilet.)
“I pooped, I pooped,” the flamingo chirped in its animatronic voice as the boy band members cheered on its, uh, success. Thankfully J-Hope eventually moved on to play with a miniature hair salon, a magic vase that grows a flower when you add water and a child’s play washing machine — though the flamingo stuck around as Hobi’s mascot for the remainder of his segment.
After watching V nearly hit a 300-meter drive in a game of virtual golf, RM took over to host a rapid-fire game of “Ideal Type World Cup,” in which he chose between random, useless superpowers with help from his fellow Bangtan Boys.
Some of the options included becoming the cutest person in the room in any gathering (“It’s like that even now? That’s not a superpower,” Suga argued hilariously), being invisible for five minutes but people can still see your clothes, and constantly flying seven centimeters above the ground. However, the superpower that eventually won the group’s consensus was the ability to rewind time by seven seconds.
While RM will be unveiling his debut album Indigo on Friday (Dec. 2), Jin is reportedly set to become the first member of BTS to begin his mandatory military service in South Korea next month.

Nearly two years after Kim Kardashian filed for divorce from Kanye West after six years of marriage, the former couple’s divorce was finalized on Tuesday (Nov. 29), Billboard can confirm.
Kardashian and West will get joint custody of their four children, plus “equal access” to them, according to TMZ. Additionally, Ye will pay the SKIMS founder $200,000 a month in child support, and is responsible for 50% of the children’s educational and security expenses.
If there is a dispute involving their children, both parties agreed to participate in mediation, per TMZ. However, if one of them does not participate, the other makes the decision by default. The two reportedly have an extensive prenuptial agreement, and dutifully kept their assets split during the marriage, limiting the complexity of the proceedings.
Upon the divorce filing in 2021, both sides initially said that the split would be amicable, but the relationship between the two superstars has turned increasingly tumultuous.
Throughout 2022, Ye had been sharing his disapproval over Kardashian’s parenting decisions, including allowing nine-year-old North to have a TikTok account. He also alleged that Kardashian did not invite the rapper to attend their younger daughter Chicago’s birthday party.
In February 2022, Kardashian responded to Kanye’s in a lengthy all-text Instagram Stories. “Kanye’s constant attacks on me in interviews and on social media is actually more hurtful than any TikTok North might create,” she began her message, noting she’s the main provider and caregiver for their kids. “I am doing my best to protect our daughter while also allowing her to express her creativity in the medium that she wishes with adult supervision – because it brings her happiness. Divorce is difficult enough on our children and Kanye’s obsession with trying to control and manipulate our situation so negatively and publicly is only causing further pain for all.”
In March 2022, Kardashian was declared legally single.
Future’s prolific output continues Tuesday (Nov. 29) with the release of his new video “712PM.”
Directed by Travis Scott, the video finds Future arriving on the scene inside a luxe Maybach with a bodacious model alongside him. And when Future isn’t flashing his gaudy jewels inside the club, he’s draped in fur, rapping in front of a torrid ball of fire.
This isn’t the first time Scott has lent his imaginative touch to the “WAIT FOR U” rapper: In September, Scott served as the creative director for Future’s “LOVE YOU BETTER” performance on Jimmy Fallon Live!
This year has proven to be a banner year for Future, who recently covered Billboard’s R&B / Hip-Hop Power Players issue. The cover story explored Future’s wins, most notably his eighth No. 1 album, I NEVER LIKED YOU. Despite his accolades, Future is still looking for more leverage to empower those close to him. “When you have more power, that means you can put other people in positions [of power]. If you have a little power, then the people around you, what kind of power do they have?” he said during the interview. “So you want people around you that are super powerful. You are your company. Progressing and elevating is the key.
He also touched on one day being able to balance a thriving career and successful marriage, saying: “I feel like I can have both. When the time’s right, it’ll happen. It ain’t nothing that I’m really chasing. But I do dream of it, and I do want it.”

Ariana Grande took to social media to give fans a glimpse at her private life on Tuesday (Nov. 29), including a couple of new photos with her husband, Dalton Gomez.
While the pop star didn’t caption the slideshow, she kicked things off with a sweet selfie with her hubby, the twosome’s heads touching as they lean in for the camera. In the photo, Ari’s eyes are closed, but Gomez’s grin matches her own perfectly.
Another candid snap, presumably captured by the “Positions” singer, shows her real estate broker beau enjoying breakfast at a diner, dressed in a black LA Dodgers hat and North Face puffer jacket as he sips from a drink and looks off to the side.
Grande is currently in the midst of filming the long-awaited big-screen adaptation of Wicked directed by Jon M. Chu. She’s even dyed her famous locks blonde for the role of Glinda opposite Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba. Bridgerton hunk Jonathan Bailey will play Fiyero, though the rest of the cast has yet to be announced for the two-picture musical saga.
Recently, the singer and her co-star had the chance to get some advice for their trip to Oz from none other than Idina Menzel, who originated the role of Elphaba on Broadway. “Think of all the other little young women or men that are or anybody that are watching them to see what it’s like to be different but be beautiful and to own that,” the Disenchanted actress said she told the duo during a catch-up with E! News.
Just last week, Ari showed off her newly lightened tresses for the release of her first-ever fragrance duo, Mod Blush and Mod Vanilla, which drop Thursday (Dec. 1) on the Ulta Beauty website as part of her growing fragrance and beauty empire.

Motown Records chairwoman and CEO Ethiopia Habtemariam is stepping down from her position “to pursue new endeavors,” the label and parent company Universal Music Group (UMG) announced Tuesday (Nov. 29). A successor will be announced at a later date.
In a statement, Habtemariam said, “It has been the greatest honor to work with some of the most incredible artists, songwriters and partners in the world. I have always had a clear vision for the talent that I’ve had the privilege to work with, which has led Motown to global success and returned the label to the forefront of contemporary culture. I would not have been able to make that vision come to life without the support of my amazing team at Motown, my UMG colleagues around the world, and Sir Lucian. I am incredibly proud of what we have created during my tenure, and I consider this the perfect finale to my 20 years at UMG spanning publishing and recorded music.”
UMG chairman and CEO Lucian Grainge added, “Under Ethiopia’s leadership, Motown has seen strong growth, continuing its legacy of bringing important new voices to modern culture. Not only has Ethiopia been instrumental in developing and breaking incredible artists, but also she has strategically identified and amplified key partnerships that have been, and will continue to be, cornerstones of the UMG creative ecosystem. While I will miss working with Ethiopia, I know she will achieve great things going forward and she leaves with our enduring love and respect.”
Habtemariam was elevated to Motown chairman and CEO in March 2021 following six years as president, making her just the third woman and only the second woman of color ever to hold that title at a major label. During her tenure, she orchestrated creative and entrepreneurial ventures with partners including a 2015 deal with Quality Control Music, under which Motown helped shepherd the careers of QC artists including Migos, City Girls, Lil Yachty, Layton Greene and Lil Baby.
At the time of her hire as chairwoman and CEO, Habtemariam noted Motown would move forward as a standalone label with some shared services, spinning out from under the Capitol Music Group umbrella. Since that time, the label has put out music from Migos, Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Vince Staples, Tiwa Savage, Ne-Yo and Kem, among others. In addition to the Quality Control partnership, under Habtemariam’s leadership Motown has also signed joint venture deals with YoungBoy Never Broke Again and his label; singer and rapper Smino, in partnership with his Zero Fatigue and EQT (Equative Thinking) labels; and Sean “Diddy” Combs and his label Love Records.
Before joining Motown in the dual role of label president and executive vp of Capitol Music Group, Habtemariam worked at Universal Music Publishing Group for more than a decade, rising from creative manager to president of urban music & co-head of creative.
In an internal note sent to her team following the announcement, Habtemariam paid tribute to her Motown colleagues while noting her nearly 20-year run with UMG. During her tenure at the publishing division, she built a team that signed and developed songwriters including Cardo, Childish Gambino, Chris Brown, Ciara, Big Sean, Hit-Boy, J. Cole, Jhene Aiko, Justin Bieber, Miguel, Stacy Barthe and Quavo.
Habtemariam also emphasized her dedication “to bringing a renewed vision of Black excellence to Motown – rooted in the past but connected to today, global in nature and a platform for the future.”
“The business has changed so much over those twenty years but throughout its ups and downs, I’ve always felt blessed to have the opportunity to work in so many aspects of the industry,” she continued. “My hunger to learn and continue to evolve led me to the unique experience of working across publishing and recorded music simultaneously. The fact that I was empowered to this unique position reflects my passion for supporting those that are blessed with the gift of music but also speaks to the incredible opportunities I was offered here and for that I want to thank Lucian who recognized my talent as a creative in publishing and gave me the opportunity to lead at a label as well.”
Habtemariam started her career in 1994 at age 14 as an intern at L.A. Reid‘s LaFace Records, where she worked for four years before moving to Universal Music Group. She has been named to numerous Billboard lists, including the 2022 Power List in January. In September, she was honored with The Clarence Avant Trailblazer Award at the first annual BMAC Music in Action Awards.
You can read Habtermariam’s full note to her team below.
Team:
Some of you may or may not know that the top of 2023 marks my 20th year at Universal Music Group. And, after two amazing decades, I’ve made the incredibly hard decision to leave for my next adventure. I’ll address my future plans soon, but today is all about Motown, UMG and you.
First and foremost, to the Motown team, your commitment to our artists, the legacy of this label, and the community at large is not lost on me. It’s been a privilege and honor to work with each and every one of you and I’m so excited to see how you continue to move Motown forward. Over 60 years ago, Mr. Gordy forged a core for this company – one that respects and celebrates artistry and strongly supports creative entrepreneurship – and this continues to live on thanks to all of you. I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve built.
When I think of my time at UMG, it occurs to me that my career really started at this company. I was a creative manager at UMPG 20 years ago, then by 2010 worked as an A&R consultant and manager while building a creative team at UMPG that signed and developed some amazing songwriters such as Cardo, Childish Gambino, Chris Brown, Ciara, Big Sean, Hit Boy, J Cole, Jhene Aiko, Justin Bieber, Miguel, Stacy Barthe and Quavo among many others. In 2014, I was promoted to the position of President of Urban & Co-Head of Creative at UMPG and appointed to President of Motown Records.
It was a busy time being in dual roles and laying the foundation for what was to come in an industry with an ever-changing landscape. While continuing to build at UMPG, I was also deeply dedicated to bringing a renewed vision of Black excellence to Motown – rooted in the past but connected to today, global in nature and a platform for the future. In 2015, we signed a landmark deal for Motown with Quality Control which included a distribution agreement ensuring support in developing the next generation of global superstars. By 2016, as that strategy brought Motown success with new groundbreaking artists, Motown became my sole focus as we continued to grow the company with artists including BJ the Chicago Kid, Brandy, Kem, Diddy, Erykah Badu, Lil Baby, Lil Yachty, Migos, Sebastian Kole, Smino, Tiana MAJOR9, YoungBoy and Vince Staples among others.
The business has changed so much over those twenty years but throughout its ups and downs, I’ve always felt blessed to have the opportunity to work in so many aspects of the industry. My hunger to learn and continue to evolve led me to the unique experience of working across publishing and recorded music simultaneously. The fact that I was empowered to this unique position reflects my passion for supporting those that are blessed with the gift of music but also speaks to the incredible opportunities I was offered here and for that I want to thank Lucian who recognized my talent as a creative in publishing and gave me the opportunity to lead at a label as well.
But one thing that has never changed is the love I have for music—and the artists, songwriters and producers that make such incredible art. That continues to drive everything I do professionally, and it always will.
This is an exciting time in music and I look forward to exploring new creative and entrepreneurial opportunities. I will share more about my future plans but for now I want to focus on winding down my role as we get to the end of the year.
Thank you for this incredible journey. Know that I will always be here to support you all.
With love, gratitude and respect,
Ethiopia
Aubrey O’Day has been sending social media into a frenzy over the past year, often getting accused of allegedly Photoshopping herself into all her luxurious vacation photos on Instagram. Now, the Danity Kane member is setting the record straight.
While joining Tamron Hall on her talk show Tuesday (Nov. 29), the singer cleared up rumors that she’s faking her life. “I am at all of these locations. I look at my Instagram as I’m an artist,” she explained. “I look at my life and pictures as like art that I want to create for the world. You don’t see me on there with my regular friends, my dogs and my home. I don’t belong to the people. I don’t belong to others. My personal life is mine. And that’s the only way that I haven’t gone off the deep end or turned into something that I’m not.”
She continued, “So when you see things like this, if you guys can agree, I’m making art. I’ve been to all these places and after these photos, I do post the videos of how it looked. But in order to get to this place, you have to scale a mountain for about two hours. I don’t have a caboodle of makeup and my wigs.”
The 38-year-old also got candid about her prescription pill addiction. “My entire time in Bali, just to be completely honest, was about getting off of prescription medications that were given to me at 17 years old because this industry promoted me to be my most aspirational self,” she revealed. “When I wasn’t able to be that, doctors were giving me medications and telling me, ‘Take this and take this and then you’ll be aspirational.’ I was taking about, if I’m going to be completely honest, 16 pills a day.”
When Hall asked if she was able to beat the addiction, O’Day replied, “I was able to let go of the chip on my shoulder that was making it impossible for me to be happy in this world, living.”

Ever thought about what it might be like getting stuck in a museum for a night? Joshua Bassett might have an idea.
The High School Musical: The Musical: The Series actor will star as Nick Daley — the son of Ben Stiller’s original night-watchman character from the 2006 film — in the upcoming animated feature Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again. Bassett puts his voice-acting chops to the test in the movie’s first trailer, which dropped Tuesday (Nov. 29).
Unlike the original movie trilogy, Kahmunrah Rises Again — which will air exclusively on Disney+ — is now animated and features many of the beloved characters from the franchise, including Sacagawea, Teddy Roosevelt and Rexy, returning as cartoon versions of themselves, as Bassett’s Daley takes over the role of night guard for his father at the American Museum of Natural History.
According to the film’s synopsis, Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again features Daley, a high school student, who is “following in his father’s footsteps and is determined not to let him down. Luckily, he is familiar with the museum’s ancient tablet that brings everything to life when the sun goes down and is happy to see his old friends, including Jedediah, Octavius, and Sacagawea, when he arrives. But when the maniacal ruler Kahmunrah escapes with plans to unlock the Egyptian underworld and free its Army of the Dead, it is up to Nick to stop the demented overlord and save the museum once and for all.”
The film additionally features the voices of Jamie Demetriou, Alice Isaaz, Gillian Jacobs, Joseph Kamal, Thomas Lennon, Zachary Levi, Akmal Saleh, Kieran Sequoia, Jack Whitehall, Bowen Yang and Steve Zahn.
Night at the Museum: Kahmunrah Rises Again will premiere Dec. 9 on Disney+. Watch the trailer in the video above.
