Micah Otano won the SESAC Resurgence Award for “Lost,” which was recorded by Frank Ocean. The song was published by Music 4 Mataya and Tunes of Reach.

“We are honored to celebrate our songwriters and publishers across multiple genres,” Sam Kling, chief creative officer, SESAC Performing Rights, said in a statement. “SESAC is proud of its affiliates who continue to write chart-topping hits and we enjoy every opportunity we get to celebrate their achievements.”

‘American Horror Story: Delicate’: How to Watch Season 12 for Free

All products and services featured are independently chosen by editors. However, Billboard may receive a commission on orders placed through its retail links, and the retailer may receive certain auditable data for accounting purposes.

The wait is over as American Horror Story (AHS) is back for a chilling 12th season. Antsy for some spooks and thrills? The popular anthology series returns to screens Wednesday (Sept. 20) at 10 p.m. ET on FX, and the next day on Hulu.

This season, titled AHS: Delicate, takes inspiration for the first time from a novel — Delicate Condition by Danielle Valentine — and to call it creepy is an understatement. Emma Roberts returns as a lead character named Anna, an up-and-coming indie actress who is desperate to have a baby and start a family with her husband Dexter (Matt Czuchry). She undergoes grueling IVF treatment and finally becomes pregnant, but the good news doesn’t last as she soon comes to believe that sinister forces are plotting against her.

Series creator Ryan Murphy is back with a star-studded cast, including The Kardashian’s star Kim Kardashian, model Cara Delevingne and Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, who are all joining the show for the first time. Other newcomers include Annabelle Dexter-Jones, Maaz Ali and Juliana Canfield. Returning cast members include Denis O’Hare, Billie Lourd and Leslie Grossman.

Watch Troye Sivan Experience a Euphoric Night Out in ‘Got Me Started’ Video

If you’re just coming down from the “Rush” of Troye Sivan’s last single, don’t fret — he’s ready to get you started all over again

On Wednesday (Sept. 20), Sivan gave fans yet another new song in the form of “Got Me Started,” a sweltering R&B-pop jam that sees the singer connect on a deeper level with his lover. Sampling Australian duo Bag Raiders’ viral hit “Shooting Stars,” Sivan urges his lover to take him to the edge. “Boy, can I be honest? Kinda miss usin’ my body,” he sings in a pitch-shifted chorus. “F–k it up just like this party did tonight.”

Alongside the new single, the Australian pop star shared a dazzling music video for the track. Shot in Bangkok, the clip shows a series of vignettes of couples around the city sharing tender moments, as Sivan breaks out his best choreography for the song’s chorus. As the tune progresses, so does Sivan’s night out in Bangkok: The star visits a drag club, where he tries on a few looks himself, dances through the streets and eventually winds up on a rooftop as the sun rises, still dancing the night away.

A teaser for the clip, posted to Sivan’s Instagram on Tuesday, showed clips from the lush video with the singer narrating a soliloquy over an entrancing beat. “After the last couple of years, I really thought that I, like, was incapable of feeling anything for a long time,” Sivan’s voice says. “Just even to feel a little bit of butterflies, or f–king … just feeling. I don’t know what you did, or how you did it. You said to me, ‘This is one of life’s greatest pleasures.’ And you know what? You were right.”

In an interview with Apple Music 1′s Zane Lowe, Sivan described the song as “the euphoric moment of total freedom, realizing that you’re completely fine on your own and that also this is not a moment of sadness, but a moment of endless possibilities.”

“Got Me Started” is the second single off of Sivan’s upcoming third studio album, Something to Give Each Other, due out Oct. 13 via Capitol Records. Watch the full music video above.

Rachel Platten to Headline OVG’s Inaugural Theater Alliance Gala

“Part of our mission at OVG is to identify ways we can help our members,” says Joe Giordano, vice president of OVG’s three facilities groups — the Arena Alliance, Stadium and the recently launched Theater Alliance, which debuted in January. The Theater Fund will be operated in collaboration with Music’s Promise as a 501(C)3 that will support Theater Alliance members, many of which operate through or with non-profit entities.

“We will take all the money raised from the fund and divy them up equally between all the foundation non-profits in the Theater Alliance,” Giordano explained, noting that 21 foundations will benefit from the event.

The goal is to help Alliance members rebuild in a challenging post-pandemic environment for arts organizations, which are dealing with decreased attendance, a decline in annual subscriptions, gaps in government support, rising costs and competition with more modern buildings.

While the concert business has bounced back strong from the pandemic, along with Broadway, “fine arts based organizations have indicated to us that they have lost audiences since the pandemic that they will never get back. The revenue piece has been a key component of whats missing for many of these groups.”

Platten told Billboard in a statement, “It’s my honor to give back to the establishments that have been so crucial in hosting the most influential live entertainment in our country.”

In addition to the live performances and a silent auction, attendees at the gala can network with high-level Industry executives, promoters, agents and managers.

Tim Leiweke, chairman and CEO of Oak View Group, said, “The Theater Alliance has enabled Oak View Group to gather the top theaters and performing arts venues in the nation to keep our finger on the pulse of this vibrant and essential corner of our industry. We know that – especially coming out of the pandemic – funding is critical for theaters to thrive and support their communities, and we have droves of talent, promoters, managers and industry leaders who are going to see to it that these venues have access to the resources they need to succeed.”

Weeks ago it was revealed that Rihanna and A$AP Rocky had named their newborn baby boy, Riot Rose Mayers (helluva dope name) and while it was rumored that the couple were upset that the name was leaked, it seems like they’re now ready for the world to share in their new bundle of joy.

E News! is reporting that the happy family has just put together a family photoshoot to introduce baby Riot to the world alongside his bigger brother, RZA and of course, mommy and daddy. Sharing a closer look at how their family unit shines together under the same spotlight now, Rocky, Rhianna, RZA and Riot delivered a family photoshoot that most couples wish they had the swagger to pull off.

E News! reports:

In the series of adorable photos, the family of four are seen posing together, as both Rihanna and A$AP take turns cradling their sons. For the shoot, Rihanna pulled her loose curls into an updo, and wore a denim jacket and navy ensemble. Meanwhile, the “Fashion Killa” rapper—born Rakim Mayers—sported a green plaid shirt and a white tank top paired with jeans.

We don’t even know RZA or Riot personally and we’re already ready to ride with them. That’s how adorable these kids are.

Check out pics of the happy family below and let us know your thoughts on this family unit and how everyone’s names start with the letter “R” in the comments section below.

Taylor Swift Fans Crashed Google’s ‘1989’ Vault Puzzles After Its Launch

First Ticketmaster, then AMC, now Google. Is there any website that can withstand the power of Taylor Swift’s Swifties? On Tuesday (Sept. 19), the pop superstar’s loyal legions of fans crashed a special feature the search engine launched specifically for them.

In anticipation of 1989 (Taylor’s Version) — Swift’s next re-recording, which is slated for an Oct. 27 release — the “Karma” singer teamed up with Google to unload a new batch of hints and Easter eggs for her eagle-eyed fans. Google launched a new pop-up animation Tuesday that prompted fans to collectively solve puzzles to help the Grammy winner reveal the “From the Vault” tracks from the 1989 re-recording.

By typing “Taylor Swift” into the blank space — aka the search bar — a new pop-up would offer one of 89 puzzles. Each puzzle asked the user to unscramble a word and then type the answer into the search bar to solve the exercise and move onto the next puzzle. Swifties around the world had to tackle a whopping 33 million puzzles to “open Taylor’s vault.” Some of the answers focused on Swift herself (her star sign — Sagittarius — was an answer that gained a lot of traction), and others focused specifically on the 1989 tracklist. (“She lost him,” read the answer to a puzzle that boasted the hint “Out of the Woods intro.”)

Swift even showed off the new feature on her Instagram page, writing, “You can tell me when the *search* is over… if the high was worth the pain ?,” a reference to “Blank Space,” a Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 single from 1989 that recently re-entered the chart.

Obviously, the promise of the 1989 vault spurred Swifties to mobilize and complete the puzzles with maximum efficiency. Nonetheless, the iconic search engine could not keep up, with the puzzles not popping up for some users. Via its X (formerly Twitter) company page, Google confirmed that the vault puzzles fell victim to some technical difficulties. “Swifties, the vault is jammed! But don’t worry, there are no blank spaces inside. We’re in our fix-it era and will be out of the woods soon,” it shared.

Luckily, the Swifties prevailed, completing the 33 million puzzles, thus revealing four of the 1989 (Taylor’s Version) vault tracks — “Is It Over Now?,” “Now That We Don’t Talk,” “Say Don’t Go” and “Suburban Legends — with a fifth one yet to be revealed.

Paul Wall’s New Look Makes Him “Unrecognizable” To Fans

HipHopWired Featured Video

Paul Wall silver hair

In a new social media video, Texas rap legend Paul Wall surprised his fans with a full head of silver hair and a beard to match.

As reported by HipHopDX, Houston native went on TikTok on Monday (September 18th). “1st off, why my face look like the old man filter lol, we had a lot of fun yesterday, perfoming [sic] halftime with @Louie TheSinger and watching the @Houston Texans,” he wrote in the caption. He’d go on to describe how much fun they had at the game and show love to Texans wide receiver Nathaniel “Tank” Dell.

Fans who tuned in were immediately struck by seeing “The People’s Champ” without the buzz cut and the soul patch that has been his look for two decades. The only parts of his signature style that were evident were the Texas drawl and the stunning gold grills.

“THATS PAUL WALL !!!????” one TikTok user wrote in shock, as another in the comments added: “Ain’t no way this Paul mane.” Another commenter wrote, “When I tell you I thought he was using the old man filter I literally thought he was 20-25.”

Others praised the new look. “He has aged like the finest wine, Lord have mercy,” one wrote with the blowing steam emoji. Another joked, “Paul Wall Lookin like The H-Town Leonardo DiCaprio.”

For the “I’m Throwed” artist, the response to his new look in the video is a sign of his own acceptance of it. In an interview with TMZ, he spoke about being insecure about going gray early. “But honestly, I always had insecurities and hang-ups about my gray hair as a younger person,” Paul Wall began, “Now, I don’t mean to be ageist or any of that, but once I hit 40, it just felt like being gray was more age-appropriate. So as soon as I hit 40, I swear, all my hang-ups, insecurities, they went out the window … I was like, ‘Oh yeah, I’m letting them grays show!’”

Paul Wall is currently looking to release a new album, The Great Wall, in December.

Fat Joe Blesses Bill Clinton With A Pair of Terror Squad Air Force 1’s

HipHopWired Featured Video

Fat Joe x Bill Clinton Air Force 1

Source: @fatjoe / Instagram

For the past few weeks Fat Joe has been making the rounds personally gifting his Nike Air Force 1 “Terror Squad” sneakers to his celebrity peers, but yesterday the Hip-Hop legend took it up another notch when he caught up with the 42nd President of the United States to bless him with the exclusive footwear.

While many would expect Joe to link up with the likes of Lil Baby, Ludacris to give them a pair of his exclusive kicks, many were taken-aback when the man actually caught up with Bill Clinton at a recent Clinton Foundation Event and blessed him with the “Panda” Air Force 1 “Terror Squad” sneakers. Saying that Bill Clinton was an “honorary member of the Squad,” Joe handed over the kicks to Clinton much to Bill’s delight.

Only a matter of time before Trump supporters and Far-Right White Nationalists spread conspiracy theories that Bill Clinton took Fat Joe to Jeffery Epstein’s island back in the day or something.

While one would think Bill would simply take the sneakers and stash them with his many gifts from celebrities and world leaders, the man actually put them on and posed in them for a pretty spiffy black-and-white photo shared by Joe on his Instagram page.

Say what you want, that’s pretty damn dope and funny at the same time.

While many thought that the “Terror Squad” Air Force 1’s would brick upon arrival, the sneakers actually sold out quickly when they dropped this past September 16th and have been selling out every time they’ve restocked online. Needless to say, Bill Clinton got himself a pretty exclusive pairs of kicks from the man behind the design himself.

What do y’all think of Fat Joe blessing Bill Clinton with the TS x AF1’s? Let us know in the comment section below.

adidas CEO Feels Kanye West “Didn’t Mean” Any of The Antisemitic Things He Said On Social Media

HipHopWired Featured Video

Celebrity Sightings In Los Angeles - May 13, 2023

adidas CEO has an interesting take on Kanye West and his penchant for saying blatant antisemitic things on social media.

Bjørn Gulden, chief executive of adidas, is finally speaking on the fallout between Ye and his company after the rapper couldn’t stop being an antisemitic clown on his social media accounts.

Spotted on Deadline, Gulden sort of put on his cape for the “Good Life” crafter whom he had to cut ties with, bringing to an end their ridiculously successful partnership, claiming he believes West didn’t mean any of the offensive things he said during a recent episode of the Norwegian podcast In Good Company.

Per Deadline:

“I think Kanye West is one of the most creative people in the world. Both in music and what I call street culture,” Gulden said after being questioned about West on the Norwegian podcast In Good Company.

“He’s extremely creative and has together with Adi, created a Yeezy line that was very successful. And then, as a creative person, he made some statements which wasn’t that good. And that caused Adi to break the contract and withdraw the product. Very unfortunate because I don’t think he meant what he said, and I don’t think he’s a bad person – it just came across that way.”

Word?

Gulden also noted that it was “very sad” when speaking about his company losing “one of the most successful collabs in history.”

He also notes that what happened with Ye could happen with any celeb or athlete because of how unpredictable working with third parties is.

“When you work with third parties, that could happen. It’s part of the game. That can happen with an athlete — it can happen with an entertainer. It’s part of the business,” he continued.

What Has Ye Been Up To?

As of right now, Ye doesn’t have any collaborations. His comments cost him business dealings with Balenciaga, adidas CAA, and Gap, whom he distanced himself from before they could give him the boot.

You can find Ye running around the country trying to make his Yeezy Socks and dressing his wife, Bianca Censori, in nothing but pantyhose a thing.

We can’t forget allegedly getting caught with his pants down in Venice while his “wife” topped him off, earning them a well-deserved banning by the Venetian Water Taxi company.
