Jimmie Allen & Wife Alexis Gale Announce Split, Baby No. 3 on the Way

Jimmie Allen and Alexis Gale took to social media on Friday afternoon (April 21) to announce that they are parting ways.

“After much thought and reflection in recent months, Lex & I have made the decision to separate,” the country star wrote, with Gale posting a similar statement to her page. The couple also revealed that they are expecting their third child together amid the difficult time. The couple share two daughters, three-year-old Naomi and one-year-old Zara.

“Our number one priority is and always will be ensuring that our children are healthy, happy and loved, and we remain committed to co-parenting with love and respect for one another,” the statement concludes. “In light of our growing family, we respectfully request privacy during this time.”

The former couple began dating early in 2019 after meeting through a relative. In the summer of that year, they got engaged and later officially tied the knot in May 2021.

In February, the couple attended the 2023 Persons of the Year tribute concert honoring Smokey Robinson and Motown founder Berry Gordy, and they chatted with Billboard on the red carpet. Gale mentioned that her favorite Motown song is Four Tops’ 1966 classic, “Reach Out (I’ll Be There),” before Allen promptly sang the chorus to her.

Halsey Hypes Up Suga’s Debut Solo Album ‘D-DAY’: ‘Lessss Goooooo’

Suga of BTS unveiled his debut solo album D-DAY on Friday (April 21), and no one was more excited for the studio set’s arrival than Halsey.

The If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power singer used their social media to shout out the BTS rapper’s full-length debut, sharing single “Haegeum” in an Instagram Story and writing, “Lessss goooooo @agustd ALBUM IS OUT!!!”

The song is a popular choice from Suga’s first full album under his Agust D moniker — in fact, it hit the top spot on the Hot Trending Songs chart earlier this month by dethroning Tyler, the Creator’s two-week reign with Call Me If You Get Lost: The Estate Sale deluxe lead-off “Dogtooth.” In the very same tally dated April 22, Suga commanded the No. 3 slot with “AMYGDALA,” as well as three more spots lower down the chart after the reveal of the album’s 10-song track list.

Meanwhile, Halsey has been both a longtime pal and ardent fan of Suga and the rest of his BTS bandmates. Back in 2019, she became one of the first American pop stars to collaborate with the K-pop boy band, being featured on their Map of the Soul: Persona single “Boy With Luv.”

At the time, the team-up earned the septet their highest entry on the Billboard Hot 100 up to that point by rocketing to No. 8. Of course, since then, they’ve racked up five No. 1 hits with “Dynamite,” “Life Goes On,” “Butter,” “Permission to Dance” and Coldplay collab “My Universe.”

Walker Hayes on His Headlining Arena Tour: ‘It Feels Like Walker & Friends’

Walker Hayes has a handful of shows under his belt on his newly launched Duck Buck (taken from a lyric from the title track to his album Country Stuff) headlining arena tour, which started April 13 in Rosemont, Illinois. This 24-show tour marks Hayes’ second headlining arena trek, with opening acts throughout the tour including Ingrid Andress, Breland, Ray Fulcher, Nicolle Galyon and Chris Lane.

In speaking with Billboard, it’s clear that the family-oriented, welcoming vibe that Hayes conveys daily to his more than four million followers on TikTok and Instagram readily extends to his touring family on the road.

“Every night, I introduce my band,” Hayes tells Billboard via phone. “Nick Schumtte plays guitar, and then Mark [DeJaynes] plays bass and his brother Luke plays drums. Some of them were playing with me when I was performing at Puckett’s [Restaurant] like 10 years ago.”

That road from playing Puckett’s to headlining arenas has been both rocky and revitalizing for Hayes, an Alabama native who moved to Nashville nearly 20 years ago. His path as a singer-songwriter has involved multiple false starts, failed record deals and balancing writing songs with paying the bills via holding down a job at Costco. But there were positive milestones, too: he earned his first top 40 on Billboard‘s Hot Country Songs chart with the 2011 release “Pants” (released via former label home Capitol Records Nashville); a chance meeting with songwriter-producer Shane McAnally led Hayes to his current label home, Monument Records, which McAnally and Jason Owen relaunched in 2017. Hayes continued to earn a smattering of tunes that landed near or in the top 40 on Hot Country Songs, but he didn’t land his first top 10 hit on the chart 2018 with “You Broke Up With Me.”

But propelling Hayes to these massive arena stages is a pair of electric chart hits: In 2021, Hayes’ “Fancy Like” reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, becoming the song of the summer and dominating the Hot Country Songs pinnacle for 24 weeks. “Fancy Like” also earned Hayes his first Grammy nomination. He followed with “AA,” which reached No. 3 on Hot Country Songs and No. 28 on the Hot 100.

“Every night, we stand up there onstage, and I just think about how far we’ve come together and I wouldn’t trade a single moment,” Hayes says of his bandmates.

Billboard caught up with Hayes to discuss the tour production and choreography on this outing, making the tour a family affair, and what he’s learned from artists including Jimmy Buffett, Kenny Chesney and Imagine Dragons.

How has the stage production changed for the Duck Buck Tour?

With the last show, “Bigger is better” was kind of the concept, because it was our first arena show. What we learned is my band and I prefer to be closer together onstage. The reason we learned that is we had a few festival shows sprinkled in there where we couldn’t have our regular tour stage. We noticed our camaraderie and chemistry was more magical when we were closer in proximity, and that fed out to the crowd.

So this year, instead of having three screens, we combined those into one screen and made the stage smaller. But we also were given more thrust area into the crowd, and more runways to walk. Everybody on my team loves an opportunity to high five someone in the audience or get out there in the middle of the crowd.

With the Duck Buck tour, you also ramped up the dancing and choreography.

We have four dancers — Nikki Mele, Samual Mulligan, Andrew Rincon and my daughter Lela — and they are all amazing. I love the moments in the show when they take the stage, front and center, and I can just stand back and watch. They are so talented, and they are some of the best athletes and entertainers.

You have always been so family-oriented, and you bring fans into your family life on social media. What has it been like having Lela as a dancer on this tour?

Lela worked hard for that position. I mean, obviously she knew someone and she got that opportunity, but she kept it herself. I can be hard on my kid — I don’t like giving them handouts. She’s 17, and dancing with three pros, but she’s hanging with them and she’s had to work hard and be responsible. [Hayes’ wife] Laney and I went to New York a few weeks ago, to see Shane McAnally and Brandy Clark’s musical Shucked. We live about an hour and a half outside of Nashville, and for five days, Lela had to drive herself and be there at 7:00 a.m., and rehearse for several hours, come home, practice more and then get up the next day and do it all again.

Breland and Ingrid Andress are among your openers for this tour. Why did you select them to be part of this outing?

I’m so inspired by both of them, and I want to give my fans something special — not something just run of the mill. They both are so incredible and have such clearly defined lanes. They are excellent writers and performers.

Me and my kids, we go out and watch their sets every night. We’re side stage, bouncing along to [Breland’s] “My Truck” and singing Sam [Hunt]’s part to “Wishful Drinking” side stage when Ingrid is singing it. Right now, it’s not just a Walker show; it feels more like “Walker and Friends.” Some of my heroes in performing are Jimmy Buffett and Kenny Chesney. I love their music and, in a way, their shows remind me of something like Mardi Gras — it’s so happy and you show up and get exposed to other people’s music and by the end of the night, everybody’s singing along with a guy who’s basically hosting a party.

Have you gotten a chance to write with Breland or Ingrid?

Breland and I are looking for the right thing — what can we do together that makes sense? I love the way Breland’s music feels and I’d love to work with him. I’m pretty sure we’ll find something before this tour is over.

What has been another concert you have learned from?

I’m a massive Imagine Dragons fan. I went to see them at [Nashville’s] Bridgestone Arena probably six years ago. They started their set with “Radioactive,” and it was so electric. One thing I took from them was just this relentless energy. Once they hit the stage, they don’t stop. They just play like it’s going to be their last show. J

ust watching that, I hope I get onstage with that mentality, always. There can be some nights on the road where you think, “I don’t sound great tonight,” or, “I don’t feel great tonight.” But I’ve noticed that your audience reflects your attitude. I try not to sweat those fears, those insecurities that all artists have. I just try to be myself, because I feel like that’s what people came to see. They don’t want a robot; they want to see the guy that they see on socials every day.

Shawn Mendes and Camila Cabello shocked fans when they seemingly rekindled their romance at Coachella on Friday (April 14), as a clip circulated social media in which the former couple is seen sharing a passionate kiss on the festival grounds.

The update came less than two years after announcing their split in November 2021.

Mendes and Cabello’s friendship dates back to 2014, when he and Cabello’s then-group Fifth Harmony opened for Austin Mahone on tour. Rumors about their romantic relationship kicked into high gear following the release of their “Senorita” duet in June 2019, especially given the song’s steamy music video.

Below, Billboard has compiled a timeline of their journey from friends to lovers then back to friends again.

2014 – Austin Mahone tour

Mendes and Cabello met when the former Vine star and the songstress, who at the time was part of Fifth Harmony, opened for Austin Mahone on tour. In their June 2019 V magazine digital cover, the duo talked about their first impressions of one another. “I remember I wanted to hang out with you, but you were always on the tour bus, just learning guitar,” Cabello said, to which Mendes replied, “Yeah, that was me. I didn’t talk to anybody. You were the only person that talked to me. Like, you were the only one of everybody on that tour who would say words to me. Actually, I think if we go into our DM’s or something, there’s a photo from the day we met, I think.”
April 2015 – Mendes picks Cabello in a round of “Lips, Wife or Leave It”

Mendes stopped by the U.K.’s Capital FM, where he played a round of “Lips, Wife or Leave It” (a PG version of “F—, Marry or Kill”) and was faced with a choice between the “Havana” singer, Jade Thirlwall from Little Mix or actress Chloë Grace Moretz. Naturally, he chose to marry Cabello. When asked if she’d be a good wife, the singer replied, “Yeah, she rocks.”
November 2015 – “I Know What You Did Last Summer”

Cabello’s first solo move came in the form of duet with Mendes. The two teamed up for “I Know What You Did Last Summer,” which sparked dating rumors even back then. In a 2015 Rolling Stone interview, they talked about writing the song backstage during Taylor Swift’s 1989 Tour. “We were just backstage hanging out, I pulled out my guitar and we were just messing around, not really thinking about writing a song,” Mendes recalled.
March 2017 – “Kiss Me” cover

Things quieted down between the two for a few years, as their respective careers skyrocketed. However, the two had the Shawnmila wheel turning again when they uploaded a cover of Ed Sheeran’s “Kiss Me.”

May 2017 – “Crying in the Club” praise

Following the release of Cabello’s emotional solo single “Crying in the Club,” the heartthrob took to Twitter to share support for his friend. “speechless.. goosebumps all over. You’re incredible,” he wrote, linking to the song’s music video.
April 2018 – Mendes calls Cabello his “favorite person in the whole world.”

“She’s my favorite person in the whole world,” Mendes said in a Beats 1 interview with Zane Lowe. “I shouldn’t be crying at this time in the morning but I AM,” Cabello tweeted in response. “i love you SO much.”
April 2018 – “Real Friends” photo

Just a few days after the Beats 1 interview, Mendes went to one of Cabello’s shows on her headlining tour. The songstress took to Instagram to post a series of Polaroids they took together. “Real friends,” she captioned the post, along with a Canadian flag emoji.

December 2018 – Cabello hints at a musical reunion

The pop star took to Twitter to share a photo of herself playing the guitar on the floor, while Mendes watched her. “Canadian fury + Latin sass,” she captioned the photo, and Shawnmila shippers went wild over the possibility of another collaboration.
June 2019 – “Senorita”

After months of social media teasing, the duo dropped their sultry midtempo duet “Senorita,” full of lyrics like, “You say we’re just friends/ But friends don’t know the way you taste/ ‘Cause you know it’s been a long time coming/ Don’t you let me fall.” The accompanying music video shows the two developing a relationship, hook up and dance. The tune debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and eventually topped the chart.
July 2019 – Holding hands in West Hollywood

Around the same time as “Senorita,” the duo started getting a little less friendly and a lot more romantic. They were spotted holding hands in West Hollywood and spent the Fourth of July together at a party in Malibu the next day.
July 2019 – PDA-filled weekend in San Francisco

Mendes was in the Bay Area on tour for two shows at the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum. On July 13, TMZ captured the duo kissing at a cafe in San Francisco. A day earlier, they locked lips in public once more at Dottie’s True Blue Cafe in SF.
August 2019 – Cabello wishes Mendes a happy birthday

To celebrate his 21st birthday, Cabello posted a photo of her and Mendes to Instagram. “Happy birthday to this magic human, I love you!!!!” Cabello wrote in the caption of the pic, which is a lo-fi polaroid that shows Mendes playing with her hair.

August 2019: “Señorita” at the VMAs

The duo took the stage together to perform their Hot 100-topping megahit duet “Señorita” for the first time live together. The performers got increasingly intimate over the course of the song, and at several points found their lips merely inches apart, teasing fans worldwide who had been rooting the duo. But of course, the kiss never quite happened.
September 2019: *The* kiss

“So we saw like on Twitter and stuff, you guys saying about the way we were kissing and how it looks weird. Like we kiss like fish,” Mendes tells the camera in a clip posted to Instagram.

“Yeah, it really hurt our feelings,” Cabello chimes in.

“We just want to show you how we really kiss,” the Canadian pop star adds. And they plant a sloppy, wet one, confirming their relationship once and for all.

October 2019 – Camila “really, really loves” Shawn

The “Havana” singer unapologetically gushed over her boyfriend in an interview with the Capital Breakfast radio show. “We’re pretty happy — I really, really love him a lot,” she told hosts Roman Kemp and Vick Hope. “This song was really fun because we got to just hang out again like we did on the song we did before, ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer,’ which is when we got really close,” she said of reuniting with Mendes for “Señorita.”
November 2019 – A night by the courts

The “Señorita” collaborators were spotted locking lips courtside at an L.A. Clippers game as their fellow fans watched the team take on the Toronto Raptors inside the Staples Center. See the photos here.
November 2019 – Matching tattoos

Tattoo artist Kane Navasard shared Mendes’ new tat on his Instagram page, a small letter “A” behind his ear, a tribute to his 16-year-old sister, Aaliyah. For Cabello’s first piece, the singer opted for the phrase, “it’s a mystery,” written in cursive on the inside of her pinky finger, referencing the 1998 version of Shakespeare in Love starring Gwyneth Paltrow.
November 2019 – Post-AMAs letter

After their performance of “Señorita” at the American Music Awards, which won favorite collaboration of the year later that night, Cabello took to Instagram to shout-out her special someone and their fans. “i love you @shawnmendes thank u for being so there for me yesterday and every other day, u have the most caring and beautiful heart in the world !” she captioned their couple pictures from the awards show. “thanks to all our fans for voting , we love and appreciate you guys so much and are so thankful for you.”
March 2020 – Cinderella-themed birthday party

Cabello turned 23 years old on March 3, 2020, and celebrated her birthday in England, where she was filming Cinderella. The Disney princess was the theme of her birthday party, which took place at the Blackpool Tower in London. Mendes flew across the pond to be in attendance, and the real-life Cinderella ball featured a glass slipper ice sculpture and a pumpkin-turned-carriage birthday cake.

March 2020 – Quarantine livestream

When not going for paparazzi-filled walks around Miami, Shawnmila spent the beginning of quarantine livestreaming from Miami. Notably, they took part in the Together, At Home: WHO-Global Citizen Solidarity Sessions, where they sang a number of songs, including Cabello’s “Havana” and Mendes’ “Lost in Japan,” before wrapping up with their hit duet “Señorita.”
April 2020 – Hospital visit

Working with Ryan Seacrest’s eponymous charitable foundation, the pop star couple brightened the day for pediatric patients at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, D.C., by calling into the healthcare center via video chat. During the virtual visit, Cabello answered questions from the little ones, and Mendes played guitar, and both danced along with a pair of young patients to Megan Thee Stallion‘s “Savage.”

I haven’t seen her actually in like a month and two weeks, not that I’m counting,” he told co-host Nicole Ryan, who wondered if Cabello had heard Shawn’s just-released single “Wonder” and what she thinks of it. “She’s back really soon and I think it’s interesting ’cause when your girlfriend is an insanely talented, real musician who writes her own music, it’s scary to write an album around her. And she was with me when I was kind of in the studio doing it. In the teaser for his In Wonder documentary, which will premiere on Netflix on Nov. 23, Cabello shows up throughout, in what appears to be the rehearsal and performance of their Hot 100 No. 1 hit “Señorita” at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards. “My song comes on the radio or something, and I’m like, ‘Everything is about you, they’ve always been about you.’ She goes, ‘What do you mean?’ I’m like, ‘They’re all about you. Like every song I’ve ever wrote,’” Mendes says at the tail-end of the trailer.
October 2020 – Reunion and new hairdos

Cabello took to Instagram on Oct. 22 to debut her new haircut with photo credit given to none other than Mendes. “LOST MY SHORT HAIR VIRGINITY!!!! I’ve had long hair all my life it’s TIME TO FEEL THE AIR ON THESE SHOULDERS BABY,” she captioned the snap, in which she’s seen in an alleyway smiling and looking over her shoulder. Nov. 17, 2021 – The breakup announcement

After two-plus years of dating, Cabello and Mendes announced on Nov. 17 that they’ve broken up but will “continue to be best friends.” The pair shared a matching statement, signed “Camila and Shawn,” on their respective Instagram Stories. “Hey guys, we’ve decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever,” the statement reads. “We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends. We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward.”
March 2022 – “Bam Bam”

Cabello’s Familia single “Bam Bam” heavily referenced Mendes in its lyrics, and she later discussed the breakup with Zane Lowe during an appearance on Apple Music 1’s New Music Daily. “Those years that we were dating, I don’t even feel like, even while I was writing this album, and even still now, I guess, my focus is really on, How can I be a well-rounded person? And apart from my career, my focus wasn’t even on my career,” she said.

“And same thing with those years that we were together. My focus was just, How can I live a happy life and be in a healthy, happy relationship? I was doing therapy a lot. My focus really has shifted,” she continued. “And even now while I’m in promo mode, honestly, if I’m not having fun, what’s the f—ing point? I think as I get older, yeah, the priorities shift. And I feel like that was that way for both of us. Because we both started so young too, we’re really learning how to be healthy adults. And that sometimes means not having your number one focus be your career. And that’s okay.”

Morgan Wallen’s Face Says It All After Onstage Fall in Kentucky

Morgan Wallen laughed off what could have been an embarrassing situation during his show in Louisville, Ky., on Thursday night (April 20), after he took a tumble onstage.

In a video shared by a fan on TikTok, the country star is seen walking around the stage at the KFC Yum Center performing his 2020 Diplo collaboration, “Heartless,” before the fog clouding his view causes him to trip and fall. He quickly gets back up, before stumbling again.

Once he steadies himself, Wallen smiles at fans in the front row and makes a hilarious cringe face, making light of the situation.

Wallen has had a successful year following the release of his third studio album, One Thing at a Time, in March. The album is spending its sixth week atop the all-genre Billboard 200 albums chart. The last album by a male act to spend its first four weeks at No. 1 was Wallen’s own Dangerous, which spent 10 weeks in total atop the chart — all from its debut week (Jan. 23-March 27, 2021).

The album’s hit single, “Last Night” simultaneously helms the Hot 100 (dated April 22) for a third week and the Hot Country Songs chart for a 10th week.

Reba McEntire Calls Being Considered a Country Legend ‘a Huge Responsibility’

Reba McEntire reflects on her legacy in a wide-ranging chat with Sunday TODAY set to air April 23.

The topic of McEntire’s pioneering path as the Queen of Country comes up when host Willie Geist asks in a teaser clip, “What do you think about the term ‘icon’? Or ‘legend’? Or ‘trailblazer’? When you hear those things? They’re all true. What do they mean to you when you hear those? Because those are terms people use when they talk about you.”

However, the Reba star took the compliments with a trademark dose of humility and passed the titles on to the women who came before her instead.

“Well, when I hear those words, I think Loretta Lynn, Dolly Parton, Tammy Wynette, Barbara Mandrell, Anne Murray, Minnie Pearl. All of those women are the pioneers, the icons, the legends that I got to learn from,” McEntire responds.

Not to be diverted, Geist rightly points out that generations of upcoming talent in Nashville look to the “Fancy” singer with the same reverence she gives to the likes of Parton and Wynette. “It’s a cool feeling,” McEntire admits with her signature Oklahoma drawl. “It’s a huge responsibility because I definitely want to — in my span that I get to do this — I want to find ways of doing it better so it will make it easier on them. Then it’s their responsibility to move forward, find a better way of doing something for the people coming up next behind them. So we’ve all got responsibilities. And it’s always to make it better.”

While the rest of McEntire’s interview won’t air until Sunday, she also recently revealed that she turned down the big red spinning chair on The Voice that ultimately went to OG coach Blake Shelton.

BM Scores First No. 1 on Billboard Argentina Hot 100 With ‘M. A (Mejores Amigos)’

Argentinian trap artist Brian Sánchez, who goes by stage name BM, crosses off a new career achievement as “M.A (Mejores Amigos)” rises 5-1 to lead the Billboard Argentina Hot 100 chart (dated April 15). The song lands at the summit after the remix with Callejero Fino, La Joaqui and Lola Índigo dropped April 5th.

The new champ sends Emilia, Big One and Callejero Fino’s “En La Intimidad” to No. 3 after its seven-week domination. Big One, Ke Personajes and FMK’s “Un Finde l Crossover#2” takes the Greatest Gainer honor of the week with a 68-rank climb, as the song rallies 70-2 in its second week. Luck Ra’s “Ya No Vuelvas,” featuring La K’Onga and Ke Personajes, drops 3-4, while Karol G & Shakira’s “TQG” dips 5-2. Elsewhere, Spaniard singer Aitana adds a fourth chart entry and scores the Hot Shot Debut of the week with “Los Angeles” at No. 76.

Ke Personajes collects eight simultaneous tracks on the current chart, as “Disfruto” debuts at No. 87, while “Otro Día Más,” featuring La Contra, and “Adios Amor/ Oye Mujer” re-enter at No. 89 and No. 100, respectively. According to ET, a source said the breakup was amicable and “was not dramatic.”

“The relationship had just run its course. It’s why [Alwyn] hasn’t been spotted at any shows,” the source told the publication earlier this month. The couple has yet to publicly reveal the status of their relationship.

Swift seems to be leaning on friends amid the split, as she also went out for dinner on Wednesday night (April 19) with Lively and her husband Ryan Reynolds at Casa Cipriani in downtown Manhattan. A week prior, she was photographed dining with her longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff and his fiancée Margaret Qualley at Via Carota restaurant.

The 12-time Grammy winner is also staying busy with her massive The Eras stadium tour, which is set to take over Houston’s NRG Stadium — temporarily renamed NRG Stadium (Taylor’s Version) — for three nights this weekend before taking the week off and heads over to Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium next weekend.

The 1975’s Matty Healy Sort of Apologized to Ice Spice For Insensitive Remarks: ‘I’m Kind of a Bit Sorry If I’ve Offended You’

The 1975 singer Matty Healy has issued an apology for controversial comments he made about rapper Ice Spice on The Adam Friedland Show in February.

“I just feel a bit bad, and I’m kind of a bit sorry if I’ve offended you,” Healy said during a recent 1975 show in Auckland, New Zealand as a kind of blanket apology for his series of odd or offensive actions in the spotlight, according to a fan video of the mea culpa. “Ice Spice, I’m sorry. It’s not because I’m annoyed that me joking got misconstrued. It’s because I don’t want Ice Spice to think I’m a d–k. I love you, Ice Spice. I’m so sorry. I don’t want it to be misconstrued as mean. I don’t mind being a bit of a joker… but I am genuinely sorry if I’ve upset them because I f–king love them,” he added while cradling a half-drunk bottle of wine.

In the Friedland bit earlier this year, the show’s hosts played a clip of the “Munch” rapper talking about her love of alternative music, including Coldplay and The 1975 from an Elle interview in January.

The hosts and Healy then begin speculating on Spice’s ethnicity, with jokes about her sounding like an “Inuit Spice Girl,” a “chubby Chinese lady” and one of them saying, “‘Yeah, I rap and make music’ Do they talk like that? Do Inuits talk like that?” The audio of the podcast then found Healy and the hosts imitating Chinese and Hawaiian accents as they laughed out loud and joked about what Healy should have said when he slipped into Ice Spice’s DMs.

After one of the men suggested Healy should have asked about her ethnic background while dropping an Inuit ethnic slur, Healy called Ice Spice “dumb.” The offensive episode was pulled from Apple and Spotify earlier this month but can still be heard on Youtube.

The rambling chat also included Healy and the hosts chuckling about “gay song parodies” of hits by Daniel Bedingfield and Dobie Gray in which NSFW lyrics were swapped in for the original. Healy also opined that “I don’t think the gays really like it” in reference to what the hosts termed the “pass” Harry Styles’ has gotten from the queer community. “It’s young girls that think it’s a new thing that are like, ‘Oh my God,’” Healy said of Styles’ inclusive, gender-fluid sensibility. “Maybe it’s not all gay guys but it’s a lot of them,” he added.

At the time, Yungblud took the trio to task for their offensive comments, tweeting, “Love listening to three privileged white dudes sit around and objectify a young black female artist who’s blowing up… Welcome to your 30’s I guess…” Healy responded at the time with an Instagram Story video mocking Yungblud’s activism and support for “underrated youth.”

Earlier this month Healy said he was quitting social media again saying “the era of me being a f–king arsehole is coming to an end. I’ve had enough.”
