The soundtrack, of course, also features Rihanna‘s “Lift Me Up,” released just last week as a tribute to the late Panther star Chadwick Boseman, who died from colon cancer in 2020 at 43.

Given the upcoming film’s story is inspired by both Nigerian and Mesoamerican cultures, recording sessions were set up in Lagos, Nigeria; and Mexico City, Mexico; as well as Abbey Road Studios in London. Producers worked with global artists from Lagos including Tems, plus emerging rappers and artists from Mexico City, including rapper Pat Boy, who raps entirely in Mayan. Over the course of the film, the audience will hear over 250 musicians, two orchestras, two choirs and over 40 vocalists, per a press release.

“Ryan [Cooler] and I talked about the importance of creating an immersive journey of sound and voice,” said co-producer Ludwig Göransson. “If we used a song in the film, we wanted it to be the entire song, and to be connected to the story. Thematically, we wanted to move the audience from grief to celebration. When you listen to the soundtrack, you can close your eyes and relive the experience of the movie. That was the intention.”

See below for the full track listing for the soundtrack, out on Nov. 4 via Roc Nation Records/Def Jam Recordings/Hollywood Records. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever hits theaters on Nov. 11.

Selena Gomez Plays Down Those Photos With Hailey Bieber: ‘It’s Not a Big Deal’

Selena Gomez is all good with Hailey Bieber. After years of discourse pitting the two against one other over Justin Bieber, the women recently shut down the chatter by posing for photos together at the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures 2nd Annual Gala. And on Wednesday (Nov. 2), Gomez addressed their decision to snap the pics in the first place.

“Yeah, it’s not a big deal. It’s not even a thing,” she told Vulture at the tail end of a joint interview with filmmaker Alek Keshishian promoting her new documentary Selena Gomez: My Mind and Me, which premieres Friday (Nov. 4) on Apple TV+.

During the chat, the pop star also teased that she’s been hard at work “for years” on the follow-up to 2020’s Rare. “Only because I want to be able to grow through my music,” she said. “I am the person who’s terrified of what will happen once it’s out, so I want it to be really well done and representative of where I am. There is a bunch of fun stuff that I’m so eager to leak, if I’m being honest. I shall not. But I’m so excited. It’ll be fun and refreshing, I think.”

The documentary exploring Gomez’s mental and physical health journey since canceling the latter half of her 2016 Revival Tour does contain one new song by the singer titled, appropriately, “My Mind and Me.”

“It happened in a really organic way,” she teased to the publication of the track. “I  went through this moment where I was allowing people into my life through my journal, these producers who worked on the song and know me very well.

“I remember releasing all of this stuff to them, and I was scared of what they were going to think,” Gomez continued. “But ‘My Mind and Me,’ the idea and the chorus, came up, and it was really moving to me. These people took my story and made it something bigger than me.”

Here’s What Bruce Springsteen Thinks of Taylor Swift’s ‘Midnights’

Bruce Springsteen‘s daughter is a major Taylor Swift fan, and like other Swifties, has been enjoying the pop star’s Midnights album nonstop. But what does The Boss think of Swift’s latest record-breaking effort? Springsteen revealed just that during his Monday (Oct. 31) appearance on The Howard Stern Show, sharing that he indeed listened to the album and gave a kind review of Swift’s new project.

“My daughter, a Taylor Swift fan to the max, the other day ago I pick her up at the airport,” the 73-year-old said. “She says, ‘Dad, Taylor Swift has got a banging new record!’ I was like, ‘So we got a banging new record? Alright.’ And plays it for me, top volume, all the way from Newark to Colts Neck, dancing in her seat. I said, ‘That’s what I like to see.’ It felt good.”

Stern then asked the “Born in the USA” singer — who was making his debut appearance on the shock jock’s show — for his reaction to Midnights, which prompted The Boss to also provide some insight on his personal relationship with Swift.

“It was good,” he said of the record. “She’s super talented. [I know her] just a little bit. She’s a tremendous writer and I know her producer Jack Antonoff very well … they make great records. There’s a lot of great work going on, people still making great records, and people are finding a lot of joy in those records … that’s gonna go on.”

It’s been a historic week for Swift. On Monday, she expressed her excitement at being the first artist in history to chart 10 songs on the top 10 on the Billboard Hot 100 (just one of her latest chart achievements). “10 out of 10 of the Hot 100??? On my 10th album??? I AM IN SHAMBLES,” the superstar wrote.

Midnights currently sits at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Chlöe Bailey Delivers the National Anthem at Game 3 of the 2022 World Series: Watch

Play ball! Chlöe Bailey helped kick off Game 3 of the World Series on Tuesday night (Nov. 1) by performing “The Star-Spangled Banner.”

“It was [an] honor to sing the national anthem at the world series tonight in philly,” the R&B star tweeted following the big moment, which found her wearing a sleek white dress as she belted out the patriotic ballad a capella.

Flanked by members of the military carrying seven different flags including the Stars and Stripes, the elder half of Chloe x Halle reached the song’s crescendo of “And the rockets red glare, the bombs bursting in air/ Gave proof through the night that our flag was still there” just as fireworks exploded and the crowd inside Citizens Bank Park went wild.

The day was a particularly emotional one for Chlöe, as she turned to social media in the hours ahead of the performance to mourn the sudden death of Migos rapper Takeoff. “RIP Takeoff…my heart is broken,” she tweeted with three broken-heart emojis in the middle.

Additionally, the singer’s appearance at the World Series follows the release of her latest single “For the Night.” The Latto-assisted collaboration is the fourth single off her upcoming debut solo album, which will also include the sultry “Have Mercy,” “Treat Me” and Surprise.”

In other news, the Beyoncé protege is also the newest spokesperson for Pepsi, and recently dropped an infectious, R&B-tinged cover of “Footloose” in her first commercial for the soda brand.

Official HIGE DANdism’s ‘Subtitle’ Logs Second Week Atop Japan Hot 100

Official HIGE DANdism’s “Subtitle” holds at No. 1 on the Billboard Japan Hot 100, dated Nov. 2, marking the highest weekly streams of 2022 in Japan.

The theme of the highly acclaimed drama series silent racked up 20,781,069 streams this week — up by 14.7 percent from the week before — and stayed at No. 1 for streaming for the third straight week. The track is the first to log more than 20 million weekly streams this year, and is also now the record-holder for second biggest week of all time in terms of streaming, following BTS’s “Butter” that scored 29,935,364 streams on the chart released June 2, 2021.

“Subtitle” also performed well in other metrics — No. 2 for video views, No. 6 for downloads, No. 6 for radio airplay — and increased its total points from last week to stay at the top of the Japan Hot 100.

Kenshi Yonezu’s “KICK BACK” also holds at No. 2 this week. The official music video accompanying the Chainsaw Man opener dropped during the chart week. Yonezu’s collaborator on the track, King Gnu’s Daiki Tsuneta, made a cameo on the mind-bending visuals that racked up 4,113,998 views to come in at No. 1 for the metric. The song comes in at No. 2 for streaming, No. 4 for downloads, No. 3 for Twitter mentions, and No. 8 for radio.

Hinatazaka46’s “Tsuki to Hoshi ga Odoru Midnight” rises 62-3 on the Japan Hot 100. The girl group’s eighth single sold 459,613 copies in its first week — a slight decrease from its previous single “Bokunanka” (478,142 copies) — to rule sales and look-ups this week, but lacked luster in the other metrics: No. 19 for downloads, No. 8 for Twitter, and No. 46 for radio.

Travis Japan‘s “JUST DANCE!” debuts at No. 4. The group drew attention for becoming the first Johnny’s boy band to debut worldwide on streaming platforms and the track was downloaded 66,078 times during the three days counting towards this chart week (No. 1). It also ranked No. 1 for Twitter, No. 36 for video, and No. 38 for radio. How the song performs with seven full days to count is something to look out for on next week’s chart.

The Billboard Japan Hot 100 combines physical and digital sales, audio streams, radio airplay, Twitter mentions, YouTube and GYAO! video views, Gracenote look-ups and karaoke data.

Located at L.A.’s Regency Bruin Theater, the premiere came just three days before My Policeman is slated to become available for streaming Friday (Nov. 4) on Amazon Prime Video. Styles plays a closeted gay police officer named Tom in the 1950s-set film, and enters a secret relationship with a man named Patrick (David Dawson) while married to a woman named Marion (Emma Corrin).

In between posing for photos on the red carpet, the “As It Was” singer answered questions about the film submitted by fans to Prime Video’s Twitter account. “I think the story’s about wasted time, and that it’s never too late to follow your heart and do what you want,” he said, responding to those wondering what My Policeman means to him.

“I hope that people take that away from it,” he continued. “It’s never too late to follow your happiness and be brave in love.”

Once inside the theater, Styles stood in front of the audience to deliver a couple heartfelt remarks. “I just want to say a massive thank you to everyone who was involved in the making of this film,” he said. “I had such a wonderful experience making it and being a part of this. It’s something I’m really proud to be a part of.”

The Grammy winner went on to shout out his two co-stars and director Michael Grandage. “It was a really special thing for me,” he added. “This film is about love and wasted time, and how hard it can be to be in love.”

My Policeman marks the second of two films in which Styles has played the leading man this year. In September, he starred opposite Florence Pugh in Olivia Wilde’s Don’t Worry Darling, for which he made appearances with his cast mates at the film’s Venice International Film Festival world premiere and its New York City premiere. He’s currently about halfway through a 15-night concert residency at the Kia Forum in L.A., which follows similar residencies in New York City, Austin and Chicago for his Love On Tour.

Swifties Are Even More Convinced ‘Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)’ Is Coming

And they said, “Speak now!” Taylor Swift sent Swifties running wild across social media on Tuesday (Nov. 1) with speculation that her announcement of The Eras Tour contained more clues to Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) being on the way.

Interestingly, the pose the superstar strikes on the colorful poster for her upcoming stadium tour mirrors the cover art for Speak Now‘s lead single “Mine,” all the way down to her long flowing locks, spaghetti strap dress and glance at the camera from over her left shoulder.

However, a more obvious hint came in Swift’s own caption to the announcement on social media, where she wrote, “I’m enchanted to announce my next tour: Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour, a journey through the musical eras of my career (past and present!)” with a reference to Speak Now album cut “Enchanted.”

Capitol One — also known as the official partner for the tour — also added to the theories by tweeting, “Warning: Mastermind moves in progress” with three purple squares and two white ones in response to a fan’s reaction to Tuesday’s announcement. “She wouldn’t?????? Announce Speak Now TV?????? During the World Series?????? Would she????????” another Swiftie then tweeted, pointing out that the Phillies and Astros have now played three of their five games, possibly signified by the three purple squares.

It’s worth noting that plenty of Swifties also took notice that their queen seems to re-litigate her Speak Now-era drama with John Mayer on Midnights track “Would’ve, Could’ve, Should’ve.” (On the bonus cut, the singer promises “I damn sure never would’ve danced with the devil at 19” — the same age she famously references in scathing Speak Now confessional “Dear John.”)

Jennifer Lawrence Regrets Not Taking Adele’s Advice About One of Her Box Office Bombs

Jennifer Lawrence was on an epic box office and awards run… until 2016. That’s when she pulled down a major payday and earned top-billing in the box office sci-fi dud Passengers, one of the last big-budget blockbusters she starred in before taking a break from the spotlight and slowing her pace for a few years.

According to a new New York Times profile of the Oscar-winning actress posted on Wednesday (Nov. 2), she might have avoided that ding in her resume if she’d just listened to her pal Adele.

“Adele told me not to do it! She was like, ‘I feel like space movies are the new vampire movies.’ I should have listened to her,” Lawrence said of the movie about two astronauts on a giant spaceship who are accidentally woken up 90 years early from hibernation that grossed more than $300 million globally but drew so-so reviews.

The piece opens at the Greenwich Village, New York gay bar Pieces, where we’re told Lawrence tackled the “Easy On Me” singer to the ground in March 2019 after she lost a heated game of musical shots. The original plan was for JLaw to meet Adele at a concert, but since Lawrence was already at Pieces, she suggested the singer meet her there instead. Though both women are careful about their public exposure while out on the town and frequently disappear for months, or years, at a time when not on-cycle, they decided Pieces was a fine place to let loose.

And, according to the article, they did just that, with Adele competing in an onstage drinking game that prompted the very competitive Lawrence to yell, “How could you lose?,” before the aforementioned public takedown. They even indulged in a bit of karaoke, which is a gutsy move when your partner is a Grammy-winning global superstar whose album releases are massive cultural events. Lawrence, however, is a frequent presence at Adele’s concerts, including a cameo at last year’s star-studded “Adele: One Night Only” special.

Lawrence, 32, will return to screens this weekend with the Apple TV+ drama Causeway. Speaking to the Times, she dove into the period in her mid-20s after her run as the star of the Hunger Games franchise when suddenly her movies were not clicking with audiences as much and she could feel like they were losing interest. “I was like, ‘Oh no, you guys are here because I’m here, and I’m here because you’re here. Wait, who decided that this was a good movie?’,” she said.

As she enters a period of higher exposure following the Feb. 2022 birth of her first child with husband Cooke Maroney, Lawrence told the Times her carefree night out with bestie Adele was proof that she’s moved on from being afraid of the tween Hunger Games fans who got too in her head for a while.

“I can tell things are different by my interactions in the real world, just by the way that I can move about life,” she told the paper. “There’s an occasional article about me walking out in Ugg boots, but other than that, the interest has lessened, God bless it.”

Maroon 5’s ‘One More Night’ Joins YouTube’s Billion Views Club

Maroon 5 has “one more” accomplishment to add to its list of accolades. On Wednesday (Nov. 2), YouTube announced that the pop rock band’s video for “One More Night” has entered the Billion Views Club.

The video sees lead singer Adam Levine split between two scenes — one of him training at a boxing facility that later leads to him facing against an opponent for a match, and another of him juggling family life with a partner and their young baby girl. After emerging triumphant, Levine comes home to find his home empty save for a few family photos and a trophy — his partner and daughter nowhere to be found.

According to YouTube, “One More Night” is the band’s third video to reach the billion views mark. “Sugar” and “Girls Like You” are the other two visuals.

Maroon 5, in a collaborative Instagram post with Universal Music Enterprises, shared its excitement at the new milestone. “One More Night” hit 1 BILLION views on YouTube in ten years!! Third @maroon5 track to reach this milestone, we can’t believe it,” both accounts captioned a behind-the-scenes video from “One More Night” of Levine in hair and makeup.

In addition to being Maroon 5’s third video to hit one billion views, “One More Night” was also the band’s third No. 1 hit on the Billboard Hot 100 after singles “Makes Me Wonder” (2007) and “Moves Like Jagger” featuring Christina Aguilera (2011). “One More Night” spent a total of 42 weeks on the Hot 100, with nine of those weeks in the No. 1 spot.

Taylor Swift Recreates Iconic Looks From Past Eras in Capital One Commercial: Watch

The old Taylor can’t come to the phone right now — why? ‘Cause she’s busy starring in a Capitol One commercial. In a super nostalgic advertisement for the bank holding company’s Venture X credit card released late Monday (Nov. 1), Taylor Swift starred as a dozen versions of her past selves by recreating her most iconic looks from past album cycles, spanning 2006 to 2022.

In one scene, a Taylor sporting one of the sparkly outfits she wore back in 2015 — during the 1989 World Tour — tests out some headphones. “They’re noise cancelling!” she shouts, dancing to a beat only she can hear.

“You’re being too loud,” responds a second Taylor, referencing a lyric from Swift’s 2019 Lover track “You Need to Calm Down.”

The second Taylor — dressed in a purple dress and ponytail, one of Swift’s Speak Now Tour looks from 2011 — appears again in a later scene, in which she watches a Capitol One customer using his phone to book seat 13A on Flight 1989.

“Good choice!” says Speak Now Taylor, pointing at a number 13 painted on her hand. “My lucky number.”

All the Taylors are then shown crammed together in an elevator. “Going up?” asks one Taylor, dressed in the glitzy circus ringleader outfit she sported in 2013 on the Red Tour.

A Taylor wearing a unitard look from the “Look What You Made Me Do” music video, a Taylor wearing one of her famous Folklore cardigans, and a curly-haired Taylor from her debut self-titled album cycle proceed to join all the other Taylors on the elevator in an epic group selfie.

The commercial comes on the heels of Swift’s announcement that she’s going on tour next year, following a five-year break from live performances. Presented by Capitol One, the Eras Tour will see the 11-time Grammy winner stopping by stadiums in cities across the U.S. (international dates have not yet been announced) with guests artists including Paramore, Phoebe Bridgers, Beabadoobee, HAIM and more.
