Eladio Carrión’s ‘3MEN2 KBRN’ Debuts at No. 3 on Top Latin Albums Chart

Eladio Carrión nets his fourth top 10 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart as 3MEN2 KBRN debuts at No. 3 on the list dated April 1. The set earned 25,000 equivalent units in the U.S. during the March 17-23 tracking week, according to Luminate.

As is characteristic in the Latin rhythmic format, streaming comprises the majority of the set’s starting sum. That figure equals 31.2 million on-demand official streams of the album’s songs in its first week, while 500 units stem from album sales and track-equivalent album units.

On the multimetric Top Latin Albums chart as measured in equivalent album units, each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album.

3MEN2 KBRN bests the opening rank of his last album SEN2 KBRN, Vol. 2, which launched at No. 4 in November. Previously, Carrión, a Missouri native with Puerto Rican heritage, nearly missed the top slot with the No. 2 debut and peak of Sauce Boyz 2 in December 2021. Plus, he debuted and peaked at No. 8 on the all-Latin albums tally with Sauce Boyz in 2020.

The 23-track 3MEN2 KBRN was released March 17, the first day of its tracking week, through Rimas. It earns the second-largest opening week in terms of overall units in 2023, after Karol G’s Mañana Será Bonito, which debuted at No. 1 with 94 million units.

Notably, in the last 12 months, 3MEN2 ranks sixth in terms of first-week units. Here is the albums rundown:

Further, 3MEN2 blasts in at No. 16 on the all-genre Billboard 200, a career high for Carrión on the overall albums ranking, by far surpassing the No. 92 debut and peaking Sauce Boyz 2 in December 2021.

3MEN2 boasts a collective of superstars, with Lil Wayne, 50 Cent, Future, Bad Bunny and Quavo among its 23-track set collaborators. As the set arrives, two tracks debut on Hot Latin Songs: “Coco Chanel,” with Bad Bunny, at No. 14 and “Si La Calle Llama,” featuring Myke Towers, at No. 40. The former gifts Carrión his highest-charting title on the multimetric list.

Elsewhere, 3MEN2 concurrently arrives at No. 3 on Latin Rhythm Albums, also Carrion’s second-best performance there.

BiSH’s Final Single ‘Bye-Bye Show’ Hits No. 1 on Japan Hot 100

BiSH’s “Bye-Bye Show” blasts in at No. 1 on this week’s Billboard Japan Hot 100, dated March 29, tallying the week from March 20 to 26.

“Bye-Bye Show” sold 281,148 copies in its first week to hit No. 1 for sales, and also came in at No. 2 for radio. The six-member girl group will be disbanding this year and its last single was written and produced by THE YELLOW MONKEY frontman Kazuya Yoshii, with the other members of the veteran rock band — Hideaki Kikuchi on guitar, Yoichi Hirose on bass, and Eiji Kikuchi on drums — taking part in the recording.

“Bye-Bye Show” Music Video

BiSH’s high-profile track came out on top over Kenshi Yonezu’s new single, “LADY,” currently being featured as the commercial song for Coca-Cola Japan’s Georgia bottled coffee. The hitmaker’s new single is an R&B-style number completely different from his long-running hit song “KICK BACK” at No. 7 this week, and was co-arranged by music producer/drummer mabanua. “LADY” racked up 20,907 downloads to rule the metric, while also launching at No. 1 for radio and No. 27 for streaming to debut at No. 2 on the Japan Hot 100 this week.

The Billboard Japan Hot 100 combines physical and digital sales, audio streams, radio airplay, video views and karaoke data.

Charlie Puth Loves & Fights With Sabrina Carpenter in ‘That’s Not How This Works’ Short Film

Charlie Puth unveiled his new short film “That’s Not How This Works” on Wednesday (March 29) co-starring Sabrina Carpenter.

The six-minute mini-movie charts a fictitious relationship between the two pop sensations — from her gifting him with a gorgeous upright piano for his birthday and watching him blow out the candles on his cake to flirtatiously painting their apartment together and playfully debating whether he can boil a live crab to make a romantic dinner.

Yet the swooning highs, like telling each other “I love you” for the first time or playing a candlelit game of Operation, eventually give way to lows full of fighting (“I don’t care that you were flirting, I just want you to admit that you were”) and screaming, and as the relationship arc plays back in his mind, a heartbroken Puth tries to capture the memories in sound.

A link in the video’s description on YouTube directs fans to pre-save Puth’s new single, also titled “That’s Not How This Works,” which will be released Friday (March 31) and will feature not only Carpenter but also Dan + Shay in some capacity.

The song marks the first new release from the “That’s Hilarious” singer in the wake of his self-titled 2022 album Charlie. Next, he’ll be hitting the road this summer for The Charlie Live Experience with openers Blue DeTiger and Alexander Stewart.

Meanwhile, Carpenter just unveiled the deluxe edition of her own breakthrough 2022 full-length, Emails I Can’t Send, which featured new bonus tracks “Feather,” “Lonesome” and “Things I Wish You Said” as well as a remix of her hit single “Nonsense” with Coi Leray.

A 7-Year-Old Taylor Swift Fan Wrote a Letter to Her Idol & Here’s What She Got Back

Taylor Swift made a young Swiftie’s dream come true during The Eras tour stop in Las Vegas, when a seven-year-old named Bella set out on a mission to send her favorite singer a letter.

Bella’s mother, Gina Lanzino, shared the details regarding the letter on TikTok, stating that the child wrote the special note right before the show. According to Lanzino, the letter read, “‘Dear Taylor, I’m your biggest fan. My favorite color is… what’s yours?’ She drew a little picture and she says, ‘I’m gonna bring this to the show and make sure Taylor gets this letter. I was kinda like, ‘I don’t really think that’s going to happen, but let’s try.’”

Upon arriving to the venue, Lanzino explained that Bella got an opening to have her letter delivered to Swift when she approached an usher, who agreed to try his best and deliver the note. Then, during the show, Bella and her mother receive a major update.

“We were about halfway through the show when some people came to our box and they were asking for Bella. I had actually forgot about the letter by that time, and I said, ‘That’s my daughter, what’s going on?’ And they say, ‘We wanted to give this to you,’ and it was the letter Bella gave to Taylor and she [Taylor] signed it. She [Bella] did write her section number on the back, but I really didn’t ever in a million years think that this was going to get returned to her. They filmed my daughter getting the letter back because they wanted to pass it back to Taylor.”

The sweet gesture is just one of many Swift has made in the past. Earlier in the Eras tour trek, the pop star made good on a promise to a 13-year-old who had tickets to see her live in 2018, but suffered an accident that results in burns covering 65% of her body. Swift invited her as a special guest during the opening dates in Glendale, Ariz.

Niall Horan Calls Fellow ‘The Voice’ Coach Chance The Rapper a ‘Musical Genius’

Niall Horan stopped by The Spout Podcast on Wednesday (March 29) to talk about his experience on The Voice and praise fellow new coach Chance The Rapper.

“You get a lot of serious-level singers on the show and it’s about making them realize that they’re on a TV show and you should, like, enjoy it for what it is,” the One Direction alum said of his freshman go-round mentoring contestants on the NBC singing competition. “Because I think that was what I took away from when I was on The X Factor. Like, you know, I’m getting to do something that not many people get to do. I still try and carry that now.”

More than a decade after he became part of One Direction on the British reality series, Horan is on the verge of releasing his third solo album The Show, but admitted in the interview that he’s hesitant to get feedback on it from his fellow coaches on The Voice, which also include Kelly Clarkson and Blake Shelton.

“I should play them the record,” he said. “I mean, I don’t know if they’d like it or whatever, but I always get scared with Chance because he’s such a musical genius. Like, I listen to his stuff and I’m blown away, you know? His stuff is so cool to me.”

Though Chance hasn’t released a full-length since his 2019 debut The Big Day, he dropped a string of singles throughout 2022, including “Child of God,” “Wraith” featuring Vic Mensa and Smoko Ono, “A Bar About a Bar,” and “The Highs & the Lows” featuring Joey Badass.

Lana Del Rey found that heaven is a place on earth, as Billboard learned that she’s engaged to Evan Winiker of Range Media Partners.

It’s unclear how long the couple has been together, but over the past six months, they’ve been spotted hanging out in public together a few times. Back in September, they attended the Malibu Chili Cook-Off festival with a group of friends, and earlier this month, they enjoyed dinner and drinks at Pappy and Harriet’s restaurant in Pioneertown, Calif., where they were approached by fans for pictures.

Ariana Grande & Frankie Are the Perfect Sister-Brother Duo in Sweet Selfies

Ariana Grande and her brother Frankie had a sibling reunion, and some fun selfies were involved. Frankie posted a series of images from his and husband Hale Leon’s trip to England on Wednesday (March 29), in which the “Positions” singer makes a cameo.

Grande shows up in two of the photos in her brother’s carousel — the first one, with her and Frankie peering down into a phone’s front-facing camera, and a second of the brother and sister duo smiling for the camera wearing black ensembles.

While Frankie decided to go the text-less route for his caption — he put the U.K. flag, double heart and bubble emojis to speak for the post — the pop star chimed in with some sweet words and a few emojis of her own. “Miss you already,” she told Frankie in the comments section of the post, adding bubbles, as well as two sad-face emojis.

Ariana’s time with her brother serves as a nice break from work. Grande is currently filming the John M. Chu movie musical adaptation of Wicked and found time in between working on set to record her verse on The Weeknd’s “Die for You” remix, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 this month. Because fans were inquiring about the star’s lack of music lately, Chu took to his Instagram Stories on Feb. 23 and wrote that the “Die for You” remix was “Proof that I am not holding @arianagrande hostage!!”

Doja Cat Claps Back at Claim That She’s ‘Encouraging’ Young Fans to Get Plastic Surgery

Doja Cat found herself firing back on social media over the weekend after being accused of promoting plastic surgery to her young fans.

The online drama started when the rapper tweeted, “got my ti–ies done and my cl– bedazzled” on March 20, also revealing she received liposuction on her thighs but was “healing fast.” One follower asked Doja to show off her “new boobies” on Sunday, and she responded that they were too “swollen” just a few days post-surgery. However, that’s when another user jumped into the conversation to tweet, “Stop encouraging your young and impressionable fans to change their bodies.”

Doja didn’t take kindly to the accusation, and considering she was laid up with nothing but time on her hands, she didn’t mince words with her response, telling the troll to “eat my long quiet and warm farts.”

In a separate thread on the same day, a different follower joked, “She’s so easy to trigger it’s hilarious,” and the Grammy winner acknowledged, “i know, stop. please im literally on bed rest yall gonna get blocked over a bad joke.”

Doja then proceeded to give her 5.5 million followers on the platform more updates about her recovery, telling them she wasn’t in much pain, “just numb and swollen as f— under my arms” and promised to show off the results of her breast reduction “soon when they dont look like two loafs of bread. give it 3 more weeks.”

It seems that Doja was at least well enough to make an appearance at Monday night at the 2023 iHeartRadio Music Awards in Los Angeles, taking the stage to accept an iHeartRadio Titanium Award for her “most-played” hit “Woman.”

Emily Ratajkowski made headlines back in January when she commented on a TikTok featuring a 2012 Ellen DeGeneres interview with Taylor Swift, in which the “All Too Well” superstar is visibly and outspokenly uncomfortable as the host has her react to various photographs of herself with male celebrities.

“This is so f—ed up. She’s literally begging her to stop,” Ratajkowski commented on the clip, in which Swift is seen telling DeGeneres, “Stop it, stop it, stop! This makes me feel so bad about myself,” before adding, “Every time I come up here, you put a different dude up there on the screen, and it just makes me really question what I stand for as a human being.”

In a new interview with Elle, the High Low podcast host reflected on how she felt watching the TikTok clip. “I recently became a Swiftie. I loved her last album and I’ve seen her documentary, but I wasn’t following her career in the same way the last 10-plus years,” Ratajkowski explained. “Watching that [interview], I was so struck by how clear she’s being about what is making her uncomfortable. I think the lens that I would’ve viewed that interview from 10 years ago versus now has evolved so much, which is why it struck me. I was in bed falling asleep and commented on it, not because I thought it was going to make headlines at all.”

She continued that Swift is “another example of a woman who has been faced with such blatant misogyny and sexism, and yet we don’t want to admit that, because she’s powerful and successful, and also she’s white.”

“There’s a bunch of reasons, which I think are fair and important to also bring up in the conversation, but that clip in particular was just so striking to me because she was communicating very clearly about why she didn’t feel comfortable with what was happening,” Ratajkowski concluded. “And it was making everyone laugh. It actually upset me. And I think that just even that speaks to a larger thing I’ve noticed, where people don’t listen to femme-presenting people.”

And it looks like he’s already cooking up another project with none other than J.I.D, which a rep from the rapper’s team confirmed to Billboard on Wednesday (March 29).

The superproducer took to Twitter on Tuesday to share some pics of the new dynamic duo from the studio with the caption, “Got a lot of new music coming but when me and @JIDsv drop,” followed by a string of fire emojis. The “151 Rum” rapper commented, “I love working with u brudda, it’s an honor,” to which Metro replied, “Honor is mine family,” with a handshake emoji.

Metro later wrote “Yessir!!” in response to the Debating Hip-Hop Twitter account, announcing, “we’re really getting a @JIDsv x @MetroBoomin album.”

He might’ve hinted at the album earlier in the year when he sat down with Streetz Is Watchin Radio and told DJ Drama about a collab project that he was releasing this year. “I’mma just say when this drop, honestly, it’ll be like one of the biggest things of this generation,” the producer said. “And you know I be chilling, I don’t like to just jump out and say that, but I can confidently say that.”

In his Flaunt cover story, Metro confirmed a collab album with Future is also on the way, affirming, “I would bet on it. I would definitely bet on it.” Metro is clearly no stranger to collab albums, having worked on Without Warning alongside 21 Savage and Offset in 2017, Double or Nothing with Big Sean the same year, and Savage Mode II with 21 Savage (with special narrative assistance from Morgan Freeman) in 2020.
