YOASOBI Holds at No. 1 for 11th Week on Japan Hot 100

YOASOBI‘s “Idol” extends its stay atop the Billboard Japan Hot 100 to 11 weeks on the chart dated June 28, tallying the week from June 19 to 25.

The CD version of the Oshi no Ko opener went on sale during this chart week, selling 53,589 copies to come in at No. 2 for the metric. And while figures are slowing down in all but karaoke, the track continues to dominate streaming, downloads, video views and karaoke for the fifth straight week. Eleven weeks at No. 1 is tied with Gen Hoshino’s ubiquitous J-pop hit “Koi” that topped Billboard Japan’s year-end list for 2017.

King & Prince‘s “Nanimono” debuts at No. 2. The theme of the NTV drama Daga, Jonetsu wa aru starring member Kaito Takahashi launched at No. 1 for sales with 546,829 copies sold. While this figure is considerably less than the group’s previous single, “Life goes on,” that sold over a million CDs in its first week (1,051,909 copies), “Nanimono” did bow with over 500,000 copies while also coming in at No. 4 for video and No. 34 for radio.

Sakurazaka46‘s “Start over!” debuts at No. 10 on the Japan Hot 100 ahead of the CD single set to drop next week. The J-pop girl group released the accompanying music video and also made the digital version available for download and streaming during this chart week. The track hit No. 16 for downloads, No. 8 for streaming, and No. 67 for video, performing better than its predecessor “Sakurazuki” in all three metrics and is set to jump up the song chart next week.

The Billboard Japan Hot 100 combines physical and digital sales, audio streams, radio airplay, video views and karaoke data.

Gerardo Coronel Grabs First No. 1 on Regional Mexican Airplay With Grupo Firme Collab ‘Que Onda Perdida’

Gerardo Coronel picks-up his first No. 1 on a Billboard chart as “Que Onda Perdida,” with Grupo Firme, rises from No. 2 to lead the Regional Mexican Airplay chart (dated July 1).

“Que Onda Perdida” lands at the summit with 9 million in audience impressions — a 14% gain from the week prior — earned in the U.S. in the tracking week ending June 22, according to Luminate.

It’s a first win for Coronel on his fourth chart visit. The Michoacán, Mexico-born singer/songwriter has placed a total of four entries on the Regional Mexican Airplay list, dating back to the No. 20-peaking “Te Quiero a Morir” in 2015. In between, “Te Deseo Lo Mejor,” with Pancho Barraza, reached No. 17 in 2021. He broke the top 10 barrier, however, in 2023, when “Te Felicito,” his first entry unaccompanied by any other act, rose to No. 7 on the June 17-dated ranking. The song rebounds to No. 7 on the current chart after peaking at No. 5 last week.

Grupo Firme, meanwhile, captures its eighth Regional Mexican Airplay champ among 20 chart entries — 11 of which went top 10. The new No. 1 follows “Alaska,” with Camilo, which crowned the tally for one week last November.

“Que Onda” tops Regional Mexican Airplay after over two months. The banda song entered the chart on the April 22-dated tally and arrived in the top 10 in its third week. It has remained in the upper region during a nine-week journey, and ousts Eslabon Armado and Peso Pluma’s “Ella Baila Sola” from the lead, which drops 1-2 after a four-week domination (down 14% in audience, to 7 million).

Beyond its No. 1 success on Regional Mexican Airplay, “Que Onda” continues to advance on the Latin Airplay chart, which ranks all songs regardless of genre. There, the tune lifts from No. 6 to its No. 3 high, the highest ranking for both acts, and a first top 10 for Coronel who previously reached the top 20 with “Te Felicito” last week (chart dated June 24).

Here Are Peso Pluma, Gabito Ballesteros & Junior H’s ‘Lady Gaga’ Lyrics, Translated to English

Peso Pluma is making the rounds with his new album Génesis, home to 14 tracks that include collaborations with Natanael Cano and Luis R. Conriquez, to name a few, and the previously released bangers “Rosa Pastel” with Jasiel Nuñez, the Eladio Carrión-assisted “77,” and “Bye.”

From the set, one of the most popular tracks among fans is “Lady Gaga,” his collaboration with Junior H and newcomer Gabito Ballesteros. The song tells the story of a luxurious lifestyle with lots of money, beautiful women and private yachts, but that’s kept under the radar.

With less than one day of activity, following its off-cycle release late on Thursday, June 22 (the final day of the chart’s tracking week), Génesis scored Peso his first top 10 entry on the Regional Mexican Albums chart.

Below, check out the translated lyrics and the Spanish lyrics to “Lady Gaga”:

Don Perignon Lady Gaga, Glasses on the face
Drugged and washed
Tripled washed, and a bandit who calls me, she wants my money
And it’s not bad because she seduces me like an animal
No one uploads anything to Instagram, they just enjoy, they just enjoy

A bunch of flashy influencers, the ones we sail and fly
On private islands on a yacht, we flip the dollar bills, and without Yolanda
I’m going to party, little pink powder, little wax feather
That waist is worth 30k, you can’t pay it, you can’t afford it
Living in the San Andreas, but for real
Cars and money
Those stars got my code, they challenged me
Drugs and cocaine, I like the Lambo but I use the Mercedes
She is very beautiful and she lets herself be loved, she likes hundreds and wants my Cartier

Eleven, lucky number seven
Well alert and we’re going strong
Buzzing in the RZR, masks, dust, and vibe
My teeth shine
I’m not preppy
But in Egypt, I smoke shishas
For fresh seafood, Japan
Tira jodido, lira jodidón
Makabelico playing, the blonds dancing with a delinquent beat
A bunch of hooded bellicose chicks
Nothing happens, no one stops them
Who are they? I ask myself the same question
Each salute carries big money
All in Louis Vuitton with a heck of a flow

Don Perignon Lady Gaga, Glasses on the face
Drugged and washed
Tripled washed, and a bandit who calls me, she wants my money
And it’s not bad because she seduces me like an animal
No one uploads anything to Instagram, they just enjoy, they just enjoy

Original Spanish lyrics to “Lady Gaga”:

Dom Pérignon, Lady Gaga, lentes en la cara, tussi y lavada
Triple lavada, y una bandida que me llama, quieren mi lana
Y no está mal, porque me seduce como animal
Ninguna sube nada al Instagram
Solo disfrutan, solo disfrutan

Pura influencer bien placosa, las que navegamos y las volamos
Islas privadas en yate, tronamos las pacas y sin Yolanda
Me vo’a enfiestar, polvito rosa, plumita de wax
Esa cintura vale 30k, no puedes pagar, no te va a alcanzar

Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh, ah
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah, ah

Y así nomás, compa Peso, compa Junior
Compa Gabito, Doble P, uh, cha-chau
Pura Doble P, viejillo
Que siga la mata dando, compa Junior
Compa Gabito

Once, número de suerte
Siete bien pendientes y andamos fuertes

Solo disfrutan, solo disfrutan

Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh, ah
Ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah, ah

Beyoncé & Kelly Rowland Team Up to Combat Homelessness in Houston With Permanent Housing Complex

America has a problem, and one of the biggest problems the country is currently grappling with is the housing crisis. Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland are teaming up to do their part to help combat this problem in their hometown of Houston, Texas.

On Tuesday, Harris County officials announced that the county would be collaborating with the Houston natives to create 31 permanent housing units. The initiative is set to use $7.2 million in American Rescue Plan funds to build the complex. “Initiatives like this one I certainly will be supportive of it no matter who’s behind it, but it’s especially interesting… because there are these names of Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland, who, of course, have been supportive of the community for a very long time,” Judge Lina Hildago said during a press conference Tuesday, according to the Houston Chronicle.

In addition to the housing units, the new permanent housing project — called the Knowles-Rowland House — will have case managers, peer specialists, service specialists and support services, like transportation, mental health, physical and behavioral health support. An “even bigger launch” of the housing complex is slated for a September announcement once Beyoncé is back in her hometown for her two Renaissance World Tour shows at Houston’s NRG Stadium.

Beyoncé and Kelly Rowland have consistently given back to their hometown. After Hurricane Harvey upended the city in 2017, Beyoncé returned to Houston alongside Destiny’s Child bandmate Michelle Williams and mom Tina Knowles-Lawson to help serve food to those affected. Over a decade earlier, Rowland teamed up with the Knowles family to found the Survivor Foundation, a charity intended to provide transitional housing for Houston victims of Hurricane Katrina.

Speaking on the Knowles-Rowland House, local pastor and Bread of Life executive director Rudy Rasmus told the Chronicle, “This will be our fifth housing development in downtown in Precinct 1 over these last 17 years, and we’re just really grateful to continue to help end homeless in our county.”

Chrissy Teigen & John Legend’s Surrogate Speaks Out After Giving Birth: ‘It Was Truly an Honor’

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend‘s surrogate, Alexandra, is speaking out after the superstar couple announced Wednesday (June 28) that they have welcomed their fourth child with her help.

“Thank you for choosing me,” Alexandra commented on the cookbook author’s surprise post revealing the baby boy’s birth. “For making this whole experience so wonderful. For loving me and my family whole heartedly. It was truly an honor bringing perfect Wren into the world with you right by my side.”

In Teigen’s announcement post, the star gushed about how wonderful it was to meet and have this experience with Alexandra, whose last name she did not reveal. The model shared that she and Legend met Alexandra when Teigen was pregnant with daughter Esti, who was born in January. “We … met the most incredible, loving, compassionate surrogate we could ever imagine, Alexandra. I knew she was a perfect match for us the moment we spoke to her,” the TV personality wrote in her post. “All our wishes and dreams aligned. I wanted to be her friend, I wanted our children to play, I wanted dinner together, I wanted to lay my head on her belly and be able to feel the hiccups and kicks. I wanted them to be in our lives for as long as time would allow.” (The post included a photo of Teigen kissing Alexandra’s bare baby bump.

Teigen also praised Alexandra for “how much she gave up of her own body,” for going through the “mental toll” of the IVF experience, and more. She also shared that after learning their surrogate was pregnant, they celebrated together by eating hot pot and watching Vanderpump Rules with our growing bellies,” joyful in how their families were blending.

The Cravings founder ended her post by thanking Alexandra for the “incredible gift” of her newborn son, with the little one completing her childhood dream of having four children. The baby boy arrived “minutes before midnight on January 19th,” according to Teigen, and as for the newborn’s name, the couple bestowed a moniker that would be “forever connected to” their surrogate: Wren Alexander Stephens.

The pair are also parents to daughter Luna and son Miles.

“Y’all remember when the FCC almost sued me cuz I performed WAP at the Grammys? What about when all the republicans literally harassed me over it? On the news everyday… Y’all remember? Oooohhh cuz I do,” she wrote.

After Cardi and Meg’s raunchy “WAP” performance at the 2021 Grammy Awards, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) reportedly received more than 1000 complaints from viewers who thought the performance was obscene, pornographic, or as one viewer from Colorado reportedly opined, “as if they were dancing in a strip club.”

Following the show, Cardi responded to Republican California then-gubernatorial candidate Errol Webber’s attempted takedown maneuver, in which he accused the rapper of “deliberately chooses to do wrong by girating and scissoring her WAP on national TV… in view of other people’s kids.”

“The Grammies are PG,” Cardi tweeted in response “That means parental guidance.Meaning is your job like it is to mine to my child to monitor what they watch. My performance was around 10 pm on a Sunday Your child should be in bed ready for school the next day why are they up watching Wap?”

Cardi later addressed the controversy in her 2021 Lizzo collaboration, “Rumors,” rapping in her verse: “Last time I got freaky, the FCC sued me / But I’mma keep doing what I wanna do / ‘Cause all the rumors are, all the rumors are true.”

“Vampire” is the lead single off Rodrigo’s highly anticipate sophomore album GUTS, which will be arriving on September 8. The song will mark the Grammy winner’s first release since 2021 and will follow her breakthrough debut album SOUR.

In a press release, Rodrigo noted that GUTS will explore “growing pains and trying to figure out who I am at this point in my life.” “I feel like I grew 10 years between the ages of 18 and 20 — it was such an intense period of awkwardness and change,” she continued. “I think that’s all just a natural part of growth, and hopefully the album reflects that.”

Morgan Wallen & Luke Combs Make History on Streaming Songs Chart

For the first time, country songs occupy the top two spots on Billboard’s Streaming Songs chart.

Morgan Wallen’s “Last Night” crowns the July 1-dated survey, leading for a 14th week. But it’s Luke Combs’ cover of Tracy Chapman’s “Fast Car” that rises 4-2 to complete the distinction.

“Last Night” earned 29.8 million official U.S. streams in the June 16-22 tracking week, up 1%, while “Fast Car” racked up 21.2 million streams, a 4% boost, according to Luminate.

It’s the first time that the top two of Streaming Songs, which began in 2013, is made up of country songs. Previously, the genre claimed two of the top three multiple times over the holidays, most recently via this year’s Jan. 7 survey when Brenda Lee’s “Rockin’ Around the Christmas Tree” crowned the tally and Bobby Helms’ “Jingle Bell Rock” ranked at No. 3.

Removing holiday songs, this week marks the first in which country songs have infused two of the top three on Streaming Songs, let alone the top two.

“Fast Car” becomes Combs’ second track to reach a career-best No. 2 on Streaming Songs, following “Forever After All,” which debuted at the spot in November 2020. In between the two songs, Combs’ hit a No. 5 high with “Love You Anyway” this February.

In all, the country genre claims four of the top 10 on the July 1-dated list. Below the top two are Zach Bryan’s “Something in the Orange” (No. 7; 15.6 million streams) and Wallen’s “Thinkin’ Bout Me” (No. 8; 14.4 million). Country last had a higher share of the top 10 on the March 25 survey thanks to five Wallen titles, led by “Last Night.”

“Last Night” and “Fast Car” concurrently rank at Nos. 1 and 2 on Country Streaming Songs for a 10th straight week, dating back to the April 29 tally.

As previously reported, the songs also rank at Nos. 1 and 2, respectively, on the multimetric Billboard Hot 100, marking the first time that country songs have held the top two simultaneously in over 42 years.

Taylor Swift Drops ‘Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)’ Eras Merch Collection & You Have Only 48 Hours to Get It

All products and services featured are independently chosen by editors. However, Billboard may receive a commission on orders placed through its retail links, and the retailer may receive certain auditable data for accounting purposes.

Swifties better drop everything now and run over to Taylor Swift‘s online store if they want any hopes of securing items from the pop star’s new, limited Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) Eras merch collection.

The flash sale was announced by Taylor Nation Wednesday (June 28) just an hour ahead of launching on Swift’s site. Featuring hoodies, crewnecks, long-sleeve shirts and tees emblazoned with an illustration of the singer wearing eight of her Speak Now tour looks circa 2011, the collection will be available only for the next 48 hours.

“We’re a flight risk, with a fear of fallin’ head over heels for the new #SpeakNowTaylorsVersion Eras Collection!!!” Taylor Nation captioned a followup announcement heralding the collection’s arrival. “Available for 48 hours at http://store.taylorswift.com, or while supplies last.”

Also available under the new Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) merch line are a lilac tote bag, a plush blanket, a lithograph and magnets. Prices range from $30 to $65.

The new swag comes just over a week before the album, a re-recorded version of Swift’s 2010 project Speak Now, arrives July 7. In addition to all of Speak Now‘s original songs, “Taylor’s Version” will include six previously unreleased tracks, two of which she invited Fall Out Boy and Hayley Williams to collaborate with her on.

Since the album announcement, Swift has been gearing up for the release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) by previewing special vinyl editions and by singing tracks as surprise songs at her Eras Tour shows. Just a few days ago, she performed an acoustic version of her moving 2010 ballad “Dear John” — which is widely believed to be a scathing lyrical takedown of John Mayer, whom she dated in 2009 — and asked fans not to “defend me on the internet against someone you think I might have written a song about 14 billion years ago.”
