We’re still two months away from seeing what director Fede Álvarez has in store for us when he resurrects a classic horror franchise with Alien: Romulus—and judging from the latest trailer, it’s going to be scary good.

Taking place in-between the events of 1979’s Alien and 1986’s Aliens, Romulus is set to be a standalone story which features the terrifying Xenomorph creatures that became iconic back in the 1980’s. After a team of space-traveling colonizers stumble upon an empty space station, the group soon realizes that they’re not alone and learn exactly why the space station is now “abandoned” as it’ crew fell victim to the alien lifeforms whose sole purpose is to kill and reproduce (and not in the sexy way).

Now that they find themselves fighting for their lives and looking for a way off the space station, the colonizers find themselves on the run from face-huggers and Xenomorphs who don’t tend to leave any witnesses at their crime scenes. They G’d up like that.

To many 80’s babies, he is Batman but to others Michael Keaton is Beetlejuice and now that he’s once again donned the cow and the cape in 2023’s The Flash, Keaton is now resurrecting his other iconic character which helped propel him to superstardom in 1988.

Weeks ago fans got a small taste of Tim Burton’s Beetlejuice 2 when a teaser trailer for the upcoming film was released and now they’re getting a bigger sample of what they can expect from Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder and newcomer to the series, Jenna Ortega conjure up the rambunctious ghost that endeared himself to millions back in the 80’s (the character even got himself an animated show on FOX).

In the new trailer to Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, Ortega and Ryder find themselves back in the house where it all started in which Ortega defiantly conjures up the comedic demon after saying his name three times. Now that he’s once again been unleashed on the world of the living, Ryder, Ortega and everyone else involved must experience the weird world of the dead as they try to figure out how to get out of this latest pickle.
Should be fun.

Decades ago it seemed like up and coming Hollywood film star Josh Hartnett was going to be the next big superstar in Tinseltown but after a few films in the 2000’s the man suddenly dropped out of sight and went MIA for years.

Now it seems like he’s been getting back on his acting grizzly and for his most recent project the former Hollywood heartthrob has linked up with M. Night Shyamalan for the upcoming thriller, Trap. Starring Josh Hartnett, the film centers around a dad who takes his daughter to a pop star’s concert only to learn that the event itself is a trap for a serial killer who police have been tracking down for a while. The plot twist, Hartnett is the serial killer they’re looking for.

Now that he knows this elaborate trap was meant for him, he has to figure out how to get out of the venue without his daughter and more importantly the police finding out who he is. Will he be able to get out of the venue without tipping off the police or his daughter to his secret identity? Will he have to body a few people in the process? We certainly hope so!
This actually looks pretty damn interesting.
Check out the trailer for Trap and let us know if you’ll be checking it out when it hits theaters this August below.

As of late, the horror genre has been lowkey struggle with lackluster films such as The Exorcist and The Nun not living up to the hype. And now, another horror franchise is set to return to the big screen, and we hope this one can actually put a little fear into the hearts of the audience.

On March 2, Lionsgate released the first trailer to The Strangers: Chapter 1, which revisits the world that Bryan Bertino introduced us to back in 2008. Keeping with the theme of an unsuspecting couple finding themselves being stalked and harassed by unknown assailants, the trailer to Chapter 1 centers around a newly engaged lovebirds (Madelaine Petsch and Froy Gutierrez), who move to the Pacific Northwest to get a fresh start in life. Unfortunately, the couple ends up targeted by some locals who seem to “hunt” people for fun.

Serving as an origin story for how the masked intruders/killers became, well, “The Strangers,” Chapter 1 seems sure to deliver some jump scares and intense moments as viewers wonder if the couple will make it out alive. We doubt they will. We lowkey hope they don’t because, f-it.
Check out the trailer for the Renny Harlin-directed film below. Let us know if you’ll be checking for The Strangers: Chapter 1 when it hits theaters May 17.

Back in 2018, John Krasinski (Jim from The Office) really dropped a sleeper of a hit with his cult classic sci-fi film A Quiet Place, and with an equally successful sequel in 2020. Paramount is ready to revisit the world where an alien invasion made the planet go dead silent.

Earlier today (Feb. 7) Paramount Pictures released their first trailer for A Quiet Place: Day One which stars Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o as an everyday New Yorker who has to live through the very first day of the alien invasion that was the premise for the first two films in the franchise. With both films having taken place well into extraterrestrial occupation of earth, Day One will show how it all went down in the streets of New York and the bloody mess the “Death Angels” leave in their wake.

With only a handful of Death Angels having wrecked all kinds of havoc on the countryside of the original two films, imagine the kind of damage that hundreds can inflict on an city like New York.
While we know that Lupita won’t be saving the world by the end of the film (A Quiet Place takes three months after Day One) the trailer promises an intense ride as Nyong’o tries her best to survive the invasion alongside co-star Djimon Hounsou.
We can’t wait for this one.
Check out the trailer for A Quiet Place: Day One below and let us know if you’ll be checking for this when the film releases in theaters on June 28.

Watch out Harry Potter for there is another secret society of wizards roaming around but unlike you and your British kin, these folks are American… and Black.

Focus Features released the first trailer for Kobi Libii-directed film The American Society of Magical Negroes starring Justice Smith and we must say, it looks like a helluva concept to bring to make into a movie. Centering around an everyday man named Aren (Smith) who tries to navigate his life around a white man’s world, he’s recruited to a secret society of Black magicians whose main purpose is to make white peoples lives easier and more comfortable in society. No, seriously.

As it is explained to him by one of his teachers (David Alan Grier) white people are the most “dangerous animal on the planet” whenever they feel “uncomfortable.” No lies detected there. In order to keep the Black community safe from white rage, the magicians do what they can to keep the white community feeling at peace in America.
Now that he’s in the loop, Aren is tasked to use his newfound magic to make a particular white man happier with his life in his workplace, but things go awry when said white man and Aren both develop feelings for the same woman. Having to choose between upholding his Magical Negro oath or finding love, Aren finds himself in quite the pickle as everything The American Society of Magical Negroes hinges on what he chooses to do. Keep the white man happy or make himself happy.
We can’t wait to find out. But many social media users are calling out the jig.
Check out the comedic trailer to The American Society of Magical Negroes below and let us know if you’ll be checking for this when it premiers in theaters on March 22, 2024.

With the popularity of the Marvel Cinematic Universe dramatically waning over the past few years, Sony Pictures is taking quite the gamble by continuing to put out Spider-Man spinoff flicks without actually connecting them to any of the Spider-Man films themselves.

Though they experienced surprising success with 2018’s Venom, Sony suffered a huge L with the release of Morbius. But now they’re hoping that their latest Spider-Man spinoff, Madame Web, will avoid the same struggle reception that Jared Leto’s living vampire took at the box office in 2022. Dropping off their first trailer for the Dakota Johnson-led film, Madame Web centers around Johnson’s character (Cassandra Webb a.k.a Madame Web) who finds herself in a sticky situation as she realizes not only can she see the future, but is being hunted down by a man from her distant past (Tahar Rahim).

To make matters even more interesting, Webb unknowingly ends up assembling a team of Spider-Women who are played by Sidney Sweeny, Isabela Merced, and Emma Roberts. Knowing they have to stop Rahim from taking them out, the four get together and put on their best Spider-Women outfits and take to the streets to save the day and their own lives.
While interest in this film is lukewarm at the very best, rumors have already begun to swirl that Tobey McGuire’s Spider-Man will make some kind of cameo to connect this film to his classic Sony film franchise. Whether or not that proves to be true or if that’s even enough to get some butts in the theater remains to be seen. Probably won’t be though. Just sayin.’
Check out the trailer to Madame Web below and let us know if you’ll be checking for this when it swings into theaters sometime next year.

Kevin Hart is known for being one of the biggest comedic actors in Hollywood today, but the man has dabbled in action/comedy films for a while now and his latest project seems to fall in that very same vein.

Next year the pint-sized superstar will be starring in Netflix’s new film Lift as Cyrus Whitaker, the leader of a underground criminal syndicate who’ve been tasked by authorities to pull off the heist of the century in order to avoid facing multiple criminal charges. Rounding up his team, Whitaker (Hart) fills them in on the plan which is to lift $500 million in gold bars from an airplane while it’s 40,000 feet in the air.

One can’t even say it’s “easier said than done” as just saying it sounds impossible, but that’s the mission and failure to comply means hard time for Cyrus and his team who are known for money laundering, identity fraud and transportation of stolen property. Needless to say they’ll be rolling the dice in order to keep their freedom.
Giving off some real Fast and Furious vibes, Lift seems like it will be quite the comedic joy ride accompanied with action sequences for guys and girls who like guy movies.
Check out the trailer to Lift below and let us know if you’ll be checking for it when it hits Netflix on January 12 in the comment section below.

It’s been a hot minute since we’ve seen Ryan Gosling in a big time Hollywood film, and though rumors of him being the next Ghost Rider in the MCU hasn’t materialized (yet), the man is returning with a comedic bang in David Leitch’s The Fall Guy.

The action-comedy stars Gosling as stuntman, Colt Seavers, who’s life gets all too real when he’s tasked with finding missing action star, Tom Ryder (Aaron Taylor-Johnson), who got himself tangled up with some pretty nasty individuals. Naturally things go left and Seavers finds himself using his stuntman skills to not only fight his way through a mob of badass henchmen but also make some pretty death- defying jumps in order to save his own life.

The film also features Emily Blunt as the object of his affection and Winston Duke as his right-hand man/hype man.
Filled with action sequences, comedic lines and some heartfelt moments, this film actually looks pretty good.

Though it’s rumored that studio execs over at Warner Bros. have absolutely no faith in Aquaman 2 and are said to be refraining from giving the movie a hard marketing push, the first full-length trailer actually seems like the James Wan directed epic could be an entertaining family-friendly film.

Starring Jason Momoa as the titular character, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom takes us back to the land (and sea) where Arthur Curry reigns as both king of Atlantis and head of his household as he’s now a father and husband to Mera (Amber Heard). Unfortunately for him the events of Aquaman come back to haunt him as Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II a.k.a Candyman) is out for revenge for the beatdown he took at the hands of the sea-loving superhero in the previous film. Armed with the magical Black Trident that puts him on the same power level of Aquaman (if not more), Black Manta is hellbent on not only destroying Aquaman’s home, but killing off his loved ones as well.
Someone must’ve said Black Manta’s name five times in the reflection of body of water or something.

Left with no choice but to turn to his brother Orm (Patrick Wilson) whom he had imprisoned for going against the throne, Aquaman and his big bro must now work together to take down this new threat as James Gunn made sure the Superman and Wonder Woman he knew no longer exist in this DCEU reality. Son literally had no other options.
Filled with pretty cool CGI underwater battles and some heartwarming family moments, the trailer to Aquaman 2 paint a pretty entertaining picture of what could be Jason Mamoa’s final performance as the King of Atlantis as it’s rumored he’ll be taking on the role of Lobo in James Gunn’s rebooted DCEU.
Check out the trailer to Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and let us know if you’ll be checking for this when it hits theaters on December 20 in the comments section below.
