Hosted by Jimmy Fallon, the SNL 50: The Homecoming Concert will take place at 8 p.m. ET on Feb. 14 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City, with live streaming available on Peacock. It’s part of the iconic show’s ongoing birthday celebrations which have also included the premiere of the 50 Years of SNL Music documentary on Jan. 27, and the SNL50: Beyond Saturday Night documentary on Jan. 16.

On Thursday (Jan. 30), SNL announced the names which will feature in their upcoming concert, with previous show hosts and performers Bad Bunny, Lady Gaga and Miley Cyrus appearing atop the bill.

Trending on Billboard

Elsewhere, the likes Post Malone, Jelly Roll and the Backstreet Boys can also be found on the bill, in addition to Arcade Fire, Bonnie Raitt, Brandi Carlile, Chris Martin, David Byrne, DEVO, Eddie Vedder, Jack White, Mumford & Sons, The B-52s and The Roots.

At the time, it was noted that more performers would be announced leading up to the show, with Consequence now confirming that Dave Grohl will also be joining the lineup.

Though absent from the initial announcement, a promotional video for the event has since mentioned Grohl’s presence. Notably, Grohl is the only artist featured in the video who was not named in last week’s lineup, though the clip also overlooks mention of confirmed performers Brittany Howard, Preservation Hall Jazz Band, and Robyn.

The Foo Fighters founder has been largely absent from the public eye since September 2024 when he announced he had become the father of a new baby born outside of his marriage to Jordyn Blum. “I love my wife and my children, and I am doing everything I can to regain their trust and earn their forgiveness,” a statement released by Grohl at the time read.

Grohl’s upcoming contribution to the SNL’s Homecoming Concert makes sense, however. To date, he holds the record for most musical appearances on the show, with 15 performances taking place between 1992 and 2023.

These include nine times with the Foo Fighters, twice with Nirvana, once as a drummer for Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and once as a member of Them Crooked Vultures. The Foo Fighters have also appeared as a special guest with Mick Jagger in 2012, and Grohl also performed with his Nirvana bandmates alongside Paul McCartney later that same year.

More recently, Grohl also appeared in the 50 Years of SNL Music documentary, and on Thursday (Jan. 30), took part in a Nirvana reunion as part of the FireAid LA Benefit Concert. Appearing alongside bandmates Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear, the four-song set featured guest vocalists St. Vincent, Kim Gordon, and Joan Jett, with Grohl’s own daughter Violet closing out proceedings with a rendition of “All Apologies”.

Trace Cyrus has issued an emotional statement in response to his father Billy Ray Cyrus’ widely criticized performance at Donald Trump’s inauguration Liberty Ball on Jan. 20.

Following accusations of lip-syncing and speculation about the singer’s state during the event, Trace, the elder brother of Miley Cyrus and Noah Cyrus, took to Instagram on Jan. 22 to share the family’s deep concerns for the “Achy Breaky Heart” singer.

Trending on Billboard

“Since my earliest memories, all I can remember is being obsessed with you and thinking you were the coolest person ever. I wanted to be just like you,” the former Metro Station guitarist began. “The day you adopted me was the happiest day of my life. Sadly, the man that I wanted so desperately to be just like I barely recognize now. It seems this world has beaten you down and it’s become obvious to everyone but you.”

Viewers of the Liberty Ball performance had commented on technical issues that plagued Billy Ray’s set, leaving his guitar inaudible and forcing him to perform a cappella.

However, Trace’s statement moved beyond the performance itself, addressing years of strained family dynamics and expressing concern for Billy Ray’s well-being.

“You may be upset with me for posting this, but I really could care less at this point. Me and the girls have been genuinely worried about you for years but you’ve pushed all of us away,” Trace wrote. “Noah desperately has wanted you to be a part of her life, and you haven’t even been there for her.”

He continued, “That’s your baby girl. She deserves better. Somehow just like me, she still idolizes you though.”

“We are all hanging on to memories of the man we once knew and hoping for the day he returns. You’re not healthy, Dad and everyone is noticing it. Just like I showed up for you at Mamaw’s funeral when you didn’t expect me to, I’m still here right now.”

Trace also reflected on his own struggles and progress, offering his father a path toward reconciliation. “As I write this with tears in my eyes, I hope you realize this message only comes from a place of love and also fear that the world may lose you far too soon.”

Trace shared that he was “over a year and a half clean from alcohol,” adding, “I don’t know what you’re struggling with exactly, but I think I have a pretty good idea, and I’d love to help you if you would open up and receive the help.”

He concluded with, “You know how to reach me. Till that day comes I will continue to pray for you.”

Billy Ray has yet to publicly respond to Trace’s statement, but his performance at the Liberty Ball has already drawn major attention. While technical difficulties marred the event, Billy Ray defended his appearance in a previous statement, saying, “I wouldn’t have missed the honor of playing this event whether my microphone, guitar, and monitors worked or not. That’s called rock and roll!” he told People.

It’s four years in a row for Taylor Swift, with the U.S. pop icon dominating Australia’s year-end charts once again, according to data published by ARIA
Swift has once more found her way to the top of the ARIA Top 100 Albums Chart, this time off the back of her massively-successful eleventh album, April’s The Tortured Poets Department. With results undeniably bolstered by her seven local shows as part of the record-setting Eras Tour, Swift is a constant presence in the year-end charts, making up 40% of the top ten.

While The Tortured Poets Department sits at No. 1, 1989 (Taylor’s Version) appears at No. 5, with Lover at No. 7, and Midnights rounding it out at No. 10. Overall, she makes up 11% of the entire Top 100, with original or re-recorded versions of her entire discography (save for her self-titled debut) placed across the top 68 positions. Her 2014 album 1989 doubles up thanks to its original version placing at No. 68.

Trending on Billboard

It’s not a far cry from the results of last year either, where 1989 (Taylor’s Version) reigned supreme and was joined by the likes of The Weeknd, Morgan Wallen, SZA, and Harry Styles. In 2024, the top ten is rounded out by Billie Eilish‘s Hit Me Hard And Soft, Sabrina Carpenter‘s Short n’ Sweet, The Weeknd’s The Highlights, SZA’s SOS, Wallen’s One Thing At A Time, and Olivia Rodrigo‘s Guts.

The singles chart, however, belongs to U.S. singer-songwriter Benson Boone, whose “Beautiful Things” spent six weeks at No. 1 and has rarely been absent from the top ten since it first debuted. Boone’s success isn’t limited to Australia, with the track having topped numerous charts globally, and peaking at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Shaboozey‘s “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” holds the silver medal position, with Carpenter’s “Espresso” closing out the podium finishes. Noah Kahan‘s “Stick Season” and Teddy Swims‘ “Lose Control” round out the top five, with Eilish’s “Birds Of A Feather” following closely behind. Irish musician Hozier‘s “Too Sweet” prevents a clean sweep for American artists, however, with his single hitting No. 8.

Swift’s influence also extends to the Singles Chart, with 2019’s “Cruel Summer” hitting No. 9 off the back of its 2023 viral success and single release. Miley Cyrus‘ “Flowers”, which topped the chart last year, also makes a return appearance, albeit relegated to a respectable No. 39.

Of note, however, is the lack of Australian artists that make up the Albums and Singles Charts. In the latter category, just 5% are home-grown, with Vance Joy’s 2013 single “Riptide” leading the charge at No. 24. Cyril’s reimagining of Suzi Quatro’s “Stumblin’ In” can be found at No. 29, while DJ and producer Dom Dolla‘s “Saving Up” splits the field at No. 50. The Kid LAROI closes out the local representation with “Nights Like This” featuring at No. 84, and his 2021 Justin Bieber collaboration “Stay” in at No. 96.

The Albums Charts, however, boasts only three Australian names – with only one being a studio release. While South Australian veterans Cold Chisel can be found at No. 44 with their 50 Years – The Best Of compilation, so too can INXS‘ Diamond-certified The Very Best be located down at No. 81. The Kid LAROI is once again the only point of difference, with his debut album – 2023’s The First Time – hitting No. 67.

Bad Bunny gives us some Jersey club sounds with his new track ‘Where She Goes.’ Miley Cyrus spilled some serious tea for the cover of British Vogue, opening up about whether ‘Flowers’ is about her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth, the advice she’s received from Dolly Parton, and her thoughts about touring. The long-awaited track for the ‘Fast X’ soundtrack ‘Angel Pt. 1’ featuring BTS’ Jimin is here. Baby Tate & Saweetie test how well they know each other. And more!

Tetris Kelly 0:00Miley clears up rumors and says she doesn’t want to tour. Justin Timberlake laughs when the internet jokes about his wife Jessica Biel. We’ve got hit after hit in your Friday music guide. You see how well Saweetie and Baby Tate know each other. And Maria Becerra builds her ultimate girl group. Happy Friday! I’m Tetris and this is Billboard News. It’s May 19th and we’ve got a ton of new bops in your Friday music guide.

Tetris Kelly 0:32Has Bad Bunny ever failed? I think not. He gives us everything we need with new track ‘Where She Goes,’ including cameos from Frank Ocean and Lil Uzi Vert.

Tetris Kelly 0:49We’ll have more new music throughout the show, but first, let’s get to our top story. Miley Cyrus is on the cover of British Vogue and on the inside she’s having quite the tea party because she is spilling — here are three things to know from her revealing cover story.

Tetris Kelly 1:09First Miley’s eight-week Hot 100 chart topper ‘Flowers’ was almost very different. She said the empowering song used to be said with one lyric saying “I can buy myself flowers, right? Write my name in the sand, but I can’t love me better than you can.” Plus Miley says she doesn’t have time for the rumors that the song is about her ex-husband Liam Hemsworth. She’s not into tricking the audience. If it were about him, you’d know.

Tetris Kelly 1:37Second, Miley said she’s not a fan of those major tours. She said there’s no safety. It’s also not natural. It’s so isolated because you’re in front of 100,000 people then you are alone. It’s not that she can’t do it. She just doesn’t have the desire to do it.

Tetris Kelly 1:57Finally, she reveals some of the best advice she got from her godmother Dolly Parton when she remembered a wardrobe malfunction while hosting New Year’s Eve with Pete Davidson.

Tetris Kelly 2:19It’s safe to say I’m in my grave. BTS’ Jimin is joined by Muni Long, Kodak Black, NLE Choppa and Jvke on ‘Angel Pt.1’ from ‘Fast X.’ And the only way to describe this song is angelic.

Tetris Kelly 2:38Saweetie and Baby Tate made me a bop together with ‘Hey Mickey’. So to celebrate we put their friendship to the test.

Saweetie and Baby Tate 2:45I’m Baby Tate and I’m Saweetie and we’re gonna see how well we know each other

Producer 2:58Who would win in a twerk off?

Baby Tate 3:01Me — not in this dress

Producer 3;08Who’s most likely to be late to set?

Saweetie 3:09Don’t judge me, there was traffic today. I think it’s neutral.

Producer 3:17Who’s the bigger spender?

Baby Tate 3:22Probably Saweetie — you see this shirt?

Producer 3:27Who takes the most selfies?

Saweetie 3:29Oh I don’t know, that might be a tie. Yeah, I feel like we’re both picture girls.

Baby Tate 3:33I was definitely taking pictures earlier

Saweetie 3:36Me too.

Baby Tate 3:38Gotta get that good light

Saweetie 3:38Right?

Producer 3:40Who is most likely to Google themselves?

Baby Tate 3:43Me.

Saweetie 3:44Me too.

Producer 3:52Who is the better driver?

Saweetie 3:53Oh me.

Baby Tate 3:54I don’t drive, so definitely Saweetie.

Saweetie 3:55I’m like the best getaway driver. I’m thinking in another life…

Baby Tate 3:59Like a race car?

Saweetie 4:00No like a getaway driver.

Baby Tate 4:03That’s good to know.

Producer 4:08Who’s the bigger crier?

Baby Tate 4:11Oh, I mean, I don’t really cry that much.

Saweetie 4:12Me either.

Baby Tate 4:13I don’t have any water in my chart.

Saweetie 3 4:13I have hella water in my chart, but shoot.

Baby Tate 4:16You don’t be crying?

Saweetie 4:17No I don’t.

Baby Tate 4:18It’s no more pain over here.

Producer 4:20Who is most likely to forget lyrics while performing?

Baby Tate 4:28Yeah, definitely we forget. We have so many songs.

Saweetie 4:32Right?

Baby Tate 4:32I think people, like they get a little hard on artists like how you don’t remember your words. Like I write a lot of words.

Saweetie 4:38I think it’d be like the choreo with the rapping. I did it one time and they caught me in 4k.

Tetris Kelly 4:47Kesha is showing us only love can save us now. Her new album ‘Gag Order’ has arrived.

Tetris Kelly 4:59Kylie Minogue is entering a new era with ‘Padam Padam’

Tetris Kelly 5:12Justin Timberlake is responding to a TikTok user claiming the singer’s girlfriend looks just like Jessica Biel.

Tetris Kelly 5:27Justin Timberlake got in on the fun this week after someone pointed out the stark similarities between his wife and Jessica Biel. The joke started when the TikTok user left a comment on the pop star’s video writing, “I don’t know who you are, but your girlfriend looks like Jessica Biel, Congrats” followed by a pair of starry-eyed and thumbs-up emojis. The couple has been married for more than a decade and the singer couldn’t resist turning the comment into a bit. In the video, JT lowers his sunglasses to look directly at the camera, and he doubled down in the caption, writing ‘from now on I’m only going by Jessica Biel’s boyfriend.’ Gotta love it. Justin can jump in and make a joke out of this — now where’s some new music?

Tetris Kelly 6:10The worlds of Disney and K-pop have collided and I couldn’t be happier. Danielle from NewJeans voices ‘The Little Mermaid’ and K-pop idol Ailee lends her voice to Disney’s ‘The Ghost and Molly McGee.’

Tetris Kelly 6:35Now let’s toss it to Maria Becerra who told us down in Miami who would be in her ultimate girl group.

Tetris Kelly 7:11That’s it for today, we’ll be back Monday with your latest in charts and music news. But before you go, we’ve got one more entry in your Friday music guide. If your heart is broken, you might need to stay away from this next one. Lewis Capaldi returns with ‘Broken By Desire to Be Heavenly Sent.’ For even more new music make sure you head to Billboard.com. I’m Tetris Kelly and this is Billboard News.

It’s 2011 all over again. Miley Cyrus debuted her new hair transformation at the The Daily Front Row’s Seventh Annual Fashion Los Angeles Awards on Sunday (April 23), with the star going back to her roots (literally) with long, wavy brunette locks.

However, the “Can’t Be Tamed” singer did keep some of her blonde look via chunky, 90s-inspired highlights (as seen above). She paired the new hairstyle with a stunning, plunging Versace corset top, paired with a sleek pencil skirt and leather gloves. She rocked the look while presenting the Music Stylist of the Year award to Bradley Kenneth.

The last time the superstar was brunette was back before the release of her Bangerz album in 2013. In 2012, she surprised fans when she chopped her long hair into a sleek, platinum blonde pixie cut, kicking off an edgier, more free-spirited era for the singer.

It’s been an incredible year for Cyrus, who released her eighth studio album, Endless Summer Vacation, on March 10. The project’s lead single “Flowers” topped the Billboard Hot 100 songs chart for eight weeks, and also crowned the Pop Airplay, Adult Pop Airplay and Adult Contemporary surveys dated April 15. Endless Summer Vacation, meanwhile, is Cyrus’ 14th top 10 album on the Billboard 200 chart, peaking at No. 3 on the tally dated March 25, 2023.

TWICE claim their third No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart (dated March 25) as Ready to Be: 12th Mini Album debuts atop the list with the act’s best sales week ever. The nine-member South Korean pop act previously led the list with Between 1&2: 11th Mini Album (2022) and Taste of Love: The 10th Mini Album (2021).

Ready to Be launches with 145,500 copies sold in the United States in the week ending March 16, according to Luminate. That sum also marks the second-largest sales week of 2023 for any act, following the debut week of TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s The Name Chapter: Temptation (153,000; chart dated Feb. 11).

Ready to Be also logs a big week in vinyl album sales (nearly 18,000) – the largest for any all-female group since Luminate began electronically tracking sales in 1991.

Also in the top 10 on the new Top Album Sales chart, Miley Cyrus achieves her biggest sales week in nearly a decade – and 14th top 10 – as Endless Summer Vacation enters at No. 2 with 55,000 copies sold. Endless also collects Cyrus’ biggest ever sales week on vinyl. Plus, rock band Periphery nets its third top 10 – all consecutive – as Periphery V: Djent Is Not a Genre debuts at No. 10.

Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart ranks the top-selling albums of the week based only on traditional album sales. The chart’s history dates back to May 25, 1991, the first week Billboard began tabulating charts with electronically monitored piece count information from SoundScan, now Luminate. Pure album sales were the sole measurement utilized by the Billboard 200 albums chart through the list dated Dec. 6, 2014, after which that chart switched to a methodology that blends album sales with track equivalent album units and streaming equivalent album units. For all chart news, follow @billboard and @billboardcharts on both Twitter and Instagram.

Of Ready to Be’s 145,500 copies sold, physical sales comprise 143,000 (125,000 on CD and nearly 18,000 on vinyl) and digital downloads comprise 2,500.

Like many K-pop releases, Ready to Be was issued in collectible physical format packages (11 different CDs [including exclusives for Barnes & Noble, Target and the group’s official webstore] and two vinyl LPs [one exclusive to Target and one exclusive to the act’s webstore). CD variants of Ready contain a standard set of items and randomized elements (such as a postcards, photo cards, etc.).

Unusually, Ready to Be had a vinyl version of the album available on the same wide release date as the CD edition of the album, as most major K-pop titles in the past were initially available only as a physical album on CD and on no other physical formats (like vinyl or cassette). The vinyl editions of the album did not include randomized items, but were packaged with a lenticular postcard, poster and slipmat. Target’s exclusive LP is marbled orchid-colored, while the act’s webstore exclusive is an ultra-clear vinyl edition.

Ready to Be’s nearly 18,000 vinyl sales marks the largest week for a vinyl album by a female group since Luminate began electronically tracking sales in 1991. It’s also the second-largest sales week on vinyl for any K-pop album, following the debut week of BTS’ Love Yourself: Her earlier in 2023 (18,000; chart dated Jan. 21). Unlike Ready to Be, the Love Yourself: Her vinyl LP arrived to market more than five years after the album’s original release on CD and digital download in 2017.

Beyond the physical editions of the album, TWICE’s U.S. webstore also issued four alternative digital album downloads of Ready to Be – each with a different cover, digital replicas of individual group members’ signatures, and a bonus track (a voice memo from different group members).

Miley Cyrus’ Endless Summer Vacation debuts at No. 2 on Top Album Sales with her biggest sales week in nearly a decade, as it bows with 55,000 copies sold. Cyrus last had a larger sales week when Bangerz sold a little more than 63,000 during Christmas week of 2013 (reflected on the Top Album Sales chart dated Jan. 11, 2014). Bangerz earlier debuted at No. 1 on Top Album Sales with 270,500 copies sold (Oct. 26, 2013 chart).

Of Endless Summer Vacation’s 55,000 copies sold, physical sales comprise 37,500 (12,500 on CD and 25,000 on vinyl) and digital downloads comprise 17,500. Endless logs Cyrus’ largest sales week for a vinyl album since Luminate began electronically tracking music sales in 1991. On the Vinyl Albums chart, Endless debuts at No. 1 – her second leader on the list following Plastic Hearts in 2021.

Endless was released in four vinyl variants: standard black vinyl, a white-colored edition exclusive to Target and two color editions exclusive to Cyrus’ webstore (red and silver). All vinyl LPs came packaged with a poster.

CD sales were also aided by two deluxe boxed sets (one with a puzzle and a CD, the other with a beach towel and a CD) sold exclusively through her webstore.

Endless is Cyrus’ 14th top 10-charting effort on Top Album Sales, including those albums credited to her Disney Channel character Hannah Montana.

A trio of former No. 1s is next on Top Album Sales: Morgan Wallen’s One Thing at a Time (1-3 in its second week with 21,000; down 81%), TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s The Name Chapter: Temptation (6-4 with 11,000; up 5%) and Taylor Swift’s Midnights (7-5 with 10,000; up 3%).

NCT 127’s Ay-Yo: The 4th Album Repackage falls 2-6 on Top Album Sales (9,500; down 67%), P!nk’s former leader Trustfall rises 9-7 (8,500; down 5%), Gorillaz’s chart-topping Cracker Island is a non-mover at No. 8 (6,000; down 37%) and Stray Kids’ former No. 1 MAXIDENT climbs 13-9 (6,000; up 17%).

Closing out the top 10 is rock band Periphery, which scores its third top 10 – all consecutive – as Periphery V: Djent Is Not a Genre debuts at No. 10 with nearly 6,000 sold. 55% of the sales came from the vinyl edition of the set.

In the week ending March 16, there were 1.961 million albums sold in the U.S. (down 0.9% compared to the previous week). Of that sum, physical albums (CDs, vinyl LPs, cassettes, etc.) comprised 1.605 million (up 5.3%) and digital albums comprised 355,000 (down 21.9%).

There were 733,000 CD albums sold in the week ending March 16 (up 10% week-over-week) and 862,000 vinyl albums sold (up 1.8%). Year-to-date CD album sales stand at 6.925 million (up 2.5% compared to the same time frame a year ago) and year-to-date vinyl album sales total 9.678 million (up 25.4%).

Overall year-to-date album sales total 20.609 million (up 8.1% compared to the same year-to-date time frame a year ago). Year-to-date physical album sales stand at 16.705 million (up 14.7%) and digital album sales total 3.904 million (down 13%).

Selena Gomez seems to be enjoying Miley Cyrus‘ new album just as much as everyone else.

The “Lose You to Love Me” singer took to Instagram on Monday (March 13) to share a stunning makeup-free selfie with the simple caption, “Violet Chemistry,” which is a track title from Cyrus’ freshly dropped eighth studio album, Endless Summer Vacation.

“Stay awhile, don’t deny the violet chemistry / Stay awhile, stay awhile with me / Stay awhile, put your arms around me,” Cyrus sings in the synth-filled, sultry song.

Gomez and Cyrus have been close for years, as both singers began their careers as Disney Channel stars, Miley on Hannah Montana — on which Gomez had a recurring role as Mikayla — and Selena on her series, Wizards of Waverly Place.

Cyrus first announced Endless Summer Vacation in January, with a post revealing steamy album cover, in which the 30-year-old star is seen in a black unitard, sunglasses and heels, swinging from a trapeze bar against a deep blue background.

Gomez took to the comments section at the time, writing, “Damn.”

Fans can experience the entire album live for the very first time by tuning into Miley’s Backyard Sessions concert special celebrating the release, as well as the fifteenth anniversary of “The Climb,” on Disney+.

Fans are so close to finally enjoying Miley Cyrus‘ eighth studio album, Endless Summer Vacation, and the singer has been teasing her next single, “River.”

In a clip shared on Wednesday (March 8) from her upcoming Disney+ special Endless Summer Vacation (Backyard Sessions), the 30-year-old star gave a glimpse into the inspiration behind the track. “It was a time in my life where I was going through just a lot emotionally and personally,” she revealed. “All of my songs evolve. They can start as something that was a trouble, like, it just feels like it’s an April shower, it never stops raining and then it started raining down love.”

At the end, Cyrus gets cheeky and says, “‘River,’ sometimes we just need a dance floor banger a.k.a. they don’t want me to talk about the fact the song is about [bleep]. It’s f—ing nasty.”

Earlier this week, the singer teased “River” with a 13-second, black-and-white teaser in which she’s seen with her hair blowing in the wind as guitars and triumphant keyboards swell to introduce the song’s title in a screen-filling, blocky, font.

The follow-up to Cyrus’ 2020 LP Plastic Hearts was recorded in Los Angeles with producers Kid Harpoon, Greg Kurstin, Mike WiLL Made-It and Tyler Johnson. The “Midnight Sky” singer describes Endless Summer Vacation as a love letter to L.A. that showcases the confidence she’s found since focusing on her mental and physical well-being. The LP is led by Cyrus’ empowering lead single and Billboard Hot 100 chart topper, “Flowers.”

“When it comes to the sequencing of Endless Summer Vacation, I divided it by two parts: AM and PM to kind of almost represent an act. The AM to me is representing the morning time, where there’s a buzz and energy and there’s a potential of new possibilities. It’s a new day,” Cyrus explained in the short clip.

She continued, “At nighttime, it feels like there’s a slinky, seediness and kind of a grime but a glamour at the same time. In the evening, it’s a great time for rest, it’s a time to recover. Or it’s a time to go out and experience the wild side. In LA, there’s a certain energy to the night and you can feel trouble boil up to the surface and it’s very inspiring to me.”

According to a previous press release, the album — which follows Cyrus’ 2020 LP Plastic Hearts — was recorded in Los Angeles with producers Kid Harpoon, Greg Kurstin, Mike WiLL Made-It and Tyler Johnson.

Along with the album, Cyrus will also be releasing her Endless Summer Vacation (Backyard Sessions) special on Disney+ on March 10, which will feature performances of songs from her new album, plus will see her revisiting her 2009 classic “The Climb” more than a decade after its release.

Miley Cyrus quietly dropped a new countdown onto her website Friday (Feb. 24) and promptly sent fans buzzing with anticipation.

The clock will end on Monday (Feb. 27), leading Smilers to speculate that something new is coming down the pipeline from their queen, even if they’re not quite sure what it could be. “What is the new Miley Cyrus countdown for? Let’s bet,” one fan tweeted alongside a poll with several different options, including a new single or tour announcement.

“A countdown for ENDLESS SUMMER VACATION tracklist would be a good idea…,” another user suggested, while a third speculated that the surprise could be a remix of her hit single “Flowers” featuring Bruno Mars.

Speaking of “Flowers,” the Endless Summer Vacation lead single is currently spending its fifth consecutive week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. Additionally, the empowering anthem recently notched Cyrus her third leader on the Pop Airplay chart (dated Feb. 25), becoming the fastest song to reach No. 1 on the chart since 2016 when Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling!” made the same leap to the top.

Once it arrives on March 10, Endless Summer Vacation will serve as Cyrus’ eighth studio album and follow-up to 2020’s Plastic Hearts, which bowed at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and featured singles “Midnight Sky,” “Prisoner” with Dua Lipa and “Angel Like You.” In the interim, she also released her 2022 live album Attention: Miley Live.
