Megan Thee Stallion can put one legal hurdle behind her after a Florida judge sided with the popular rapper in a civil defamation lawsuit against blogger Milagro Gramz. Megan Thee Stallion brought the suit against Gramz, alleging that she acted as a stand-in for Tory Lanez and harassed her online with false statements and other attacks.

As reported by NBC News, U.S. District Court Judge Cecilia M. Altonaga oversaw the case of Megan Thee Stallion, real name Megan Pete, and Milagro Gramz, real name Milagro Cooper. A federal jury panel of five men and four women sided with Pete over material Gramz presented as facts after Tory Lanez shot the Houston entertainer.

The jury first awarded Pete $75,000; however, Judge Altonaga lowered the payout to $59,000. After the verdict, Pete elected not to speak with the media as she made her way out.

Cooper said of the verdict, “I’m not ecstatic. Of course, you want things to go your way, but like I said, I respect the jury and what they decided.”

Gramz’s attorney, Jeremy McLymont, added, “We respect the jury’s verdict, you always have to right? Whether we agree with it or not, we respect it.”

Cooper reportedly shared a deepfake video of Pete involved in sexual acts, with Pete framing Cooper as a “mouthpiece” for Lanez to further harass and demean her. Pete reportedly checked herself into a facility to get help with depression after the faked video went wide online.

A source tells Rolling Stone that under Florida law, Cooper will have to pay Pete’s legal fees, which may total north of $1 million. However, that has not been confirmed by the court or any other media outlet.

Megan Thee Stallion got emotional while testifying in her defamation case against blogger Milagro Gramz.

*Trigger warning: This article touches on thoughts of suicide.*

TMZ Hip Hop reports Thee Stallion let the tears flow while speaking to the jury about the PSA she cut about suicide prevention, and revealing how Tory Lanez, the convicted felon who shot her, fed Milagro Gramz lies to spread on social media and her blog.

The celebrity gossip site reports the Hip-Hop superstar tearfully opened up, wanting to take her own life, and spoke on how the entire situation with Lanez and Gramz affected her.

She also touched on the rumors being floated about her, accusing her of sleeping with her manager, Travis Farris, and having to battle them.

Per TMZ Hip Hop:

Megan tearfully told jurors she knows what it feels like to “not want to live anymore” and went into detail about the toll the ordeal with Tory and Milagro has taken on her.

Megan also told jurors about battling rumors — including the one that she was sleeping with her manager, Travis Farris — and feeling tremendous anxiety as a result.

The attorney also questioned Megan about the surgery she underwent the night of the shooting, discussing the bullet fragments removed from her feet … and her feelings about the counternarrative she believes Tory and Milagro were pushing online that she wasn’t shot.

Megan Thee Stallion Talked About Entering A Medical Facility For Treatment

The “Lover Girl” crafter also touched on entering a medical facility for Dialectical Behavior Therapy, which taught her how to help her deal with and store the trauma in her brain.

As previously reported, the treatment isn’t cheap, as it costs Thee Stallion $240,000.

While on the stand, she also spoke about initially not naming Lanez as her shooter, telling the jury she now regrets that decision, explaining she only did it out of fear of the aftermath following the tracking police killing of George Floyd, an unarmed Black man.

Trial is currently ongoing with Gramz taking the stand and Cuniff sharing updates via her X account. You can see more reactions below.

Recent testimony from Megan Thee Stallion’s defamation trial revealed the rapper needed therapy after blogger Milagro Gramz shared a deepfake porn video featuring the rapper.

During day 3 of Megan Thee Stallion’s defamation lawsuit against Milagro Gramz, born Milagro Cooper, Thee Stallion’s friend and manager, Travis Farris, took the stand and testified in support of the rapper.
During his testimony, Farris revealed that Thee Stallion went to a treatment center that cost $240,000 monthly after the blogger shared a deepfake porn video of Thee Stallion.
Everyone’s favorite legal reporter, Meghann Cuniff, was at the courthouse in Miami, Florida, and has been sharing updates on X (formerly Twitter).
“We are finally on the lunch break after testimony from Megan’s friend and manager, Travis Farris, who talked about how social media vitriol hurts Megan. He testified he got her into a treatment center that cost $240,000 a month,” Cuniff tweeted.
According to celebrity gossip site TMZ, Thee Stallion checked into the treatment center to deal with the emotional distress caused by Gramz sharing the video.
Megan Thee Stallion Lost Out on Brand Opportunities
In another post, Cuniff shared testimony from Roc Nation Senior VP, Branding & Strategic Partnerships, Daniel Kinney, who revealed that Megan Thee Stallion lost out on multiple brand opportunities, including Call of Duty, due to the emotional distress she was dealing with.

“Daniel Kinney of Roc Nation testified about brand opportunities for Megan that fell apart: Activision/Call of Duty, Google Pixel, Just Eats Takeaway and U.S. Women’s Soccer Federation. Megan ditched Call of Duty when she learned she would be a shootable character in the game,” Kinney said.

In the suit, Megan Thee Stallion is accusing Gramz of causing her emotional distress by cyberstalking after sharing the deepfake porn video and questioning if Tory Lanez shot the rapper.

Speaking of Lanez, he isn’t getting out of jail anytime soon after his appeal was denied. He was also ordered to pay a $20,000 fine for obstructing the deposition in the Milagro Gramz deposition case.

You can see reactions below.

Tory Lanez was slapped with a $20,000 fine for obstruction in Megan Thee Stallion’s defamation case against blogger Milagro Gramz. According to reports, Tory Lanez and his attorney, Crystal Morgan, were hit with the fine due to “obstruction of Plaintiff’s multiple attempts to depose him.”

In a report from Rolling Stone, Tory Lanez and his refusal to work with Megan Thee Stallion’s legal team has led to the court finding the jailed singer in contempt for not answering their inquiries.

According to the outlet, Lanez reportedly said, “Whatever the fines are, I’ll pay them. I’m a millionaire. I don’t care.”

Megan The Stallion, real name Megan Pete, and Milagro Gramz, real name Milagro Cooper, saw the start of the defamation trial on Monday (November 17). According to Pete, Cooper and Lanez, real name Daystar Peterson, worked with one another to launch a smear campaign against the Houston superstar. Cooper is also charged with creating an AI-generated sex video of Pete and informing her audience that Pete had a drinking problem.

Tory Lanez was sentenced to 10 years behind bars in connection with a shooting incident that left Pete with an injured foot and reported emotional distress in the wake of the violent moment.

Tory Lanez is not getting out of jail.

On Wednesday (Nov. 12), the California Court of Appeals affirmed Lanez’s conviction and 10-year sentence for shooting Megan Thee Stallion, legal affairs journalist Meghann Cuniff shared on social media.
The news is the latest legal setback for Canadian Yosemite Sam and his stans, who thought he had a chance to get out of prison.

The decision comes after Thee Stallion’s attorney, Alex Spiro, dropped a 31-page report in May, slamming Lanez’s team and his supporters for trying to undermine the conviction.

In a statement shared by Rolling Stone, Spiro said:

Despite Mr. Lanez being convicted at trial by overwhelming evidence (that included his own admission of his guilt), he and his team—flanked by any ignorant person they can find—have pushed whatever misleading narrative they can.

One by one, their misleading statements unravel, and all that is left is the simple truth: he was convicted by overwhelming evidence, and those who seek to traumatize the victim of the crime should be called out as foolish bullies.

The report also shared that Ring camera footage and DNA evidence on the gun indicated it was a 90 percent likelihood that it was a male who fired the weapon.

Tory Lanez Other Ls He Has Suffered In Court

This also follows a previous legal loss the “Say It” crafter endured in court after unsuccessfully trying to avoid testifying in a related civil case.

Lanez was ordered to be deposed again in Megan Thee Stallion’s civil suit against gossip blogger Milagro Gramz (Milagro Cooper), whom she accused of spreading lies about the shooting and the trial while being paid by the Canadian artist.

Those who support Megan Thee Stallion and have no love for anyone who attacks Black women have been clowning Lanez on social media.

Welp, they can’t blame Roc Nation for this one. You can see more reactions below.

Hip-Hop’s drought on Billboard’s Hot 100 has come to an end thanks to Megan Thee Stallion.

Megan Thee Stallion’s ode to her man, her man, her man, her baby, “Lover Girl,” has brought Hip-Hop back on the Hot 100 chart.

The infectious new single made its debut at No. 8 for the November 8 Hot 100 chart, ending the 2-week period where no Hip-Hop singles appeared on the Top 40, the first time since February 3, 1990.

Billboard states that “Lover Girl” is the first rap song eligible for ranking on their Hot Rap Songs listing to land on the Top 40 since Kendrick Lamar’s single “Luther” featuring SZA.

Thanks to its 8.5 million official U.S. streams, 1.5 million in radio airplay audience, and 5,000 sold in the week ending October 30, “Lover Girl” earned its No. 8 position on the chart.

The song will be the Houston rappers’ 21st top 40 entry on the Hot 100. Her last entry on the chart was on September 21, 2024, with her RM-assisted track, “Neva Play,” debuting at No. 36.

“Wannabe,” featuring GloRilla, whom she is now allegedly beefing with, hit No. 40 after peaking at No. 11.

Thee Stallion also reached the top of the charts with “Savage Remix” featuring Beyoncé and “WAP” with Cardi B in 2020, and “Hiss” in 2024.

She wasn’t alone; NBA Youngboy’s “Shot Callin” and BigXthaPlug’s “Hell at Night” also landed on the Hot 100.

Gunna’s “wgft” and Cardi B’s “Safe” featuring Kehlani are slowly picking up steam and can also land on the chart at some point.

We hope this moment keeps going; we don’t want to see any more droughts.

Tory Lanez ain’t got much to do while he serves out his prison sentence. Still, he will have to answer questions again in Megan Thee Stallion’s defamation lawsuit against blogger Milagro Gramz after flopping in two previous ones.

In response to Judge Lisette M. Reid, on Oct. 30, the court order, the convicted felon’s lawyer argued that the deposition testimony could hurt Lanez’s ongoing appeal of his criminal conviction for shooting Houston Hip-Hop star Megan Thee Stallion, which was struck down after the judge said it was “unclear” how the deposition would hurt his appeal.

“The focus of Mr. Peterson’s deposition is his relationship with defendant Cooper, not with plaintiff,” the judge wrote. “Thus, the court does not see how testimony regarding Mr. Peterson’s communications and relationship with the defendant would serve to prejudice his criminal appeal.”

Reid continued in his court order that Lanez must be deposed and can exercise his Fifth Amendment to avoid self-incrimination, “on a question-by-question basis, the propriety of which will be decided by the undersigned, who will be supervising the deposition.”

Tory Lanez’s Behavior In The First Two Depositions Led To A Third One Being Requested

This latest attempt to depose Lanez follows two previous attempts that were not satisfactory. In an April attempt, Megan’s lawyers said he “feigned ignorance regarding the definition of basic words,” while also harassing one member of The Stallion’s legal team.

Thee Stallion’s lawyers also claimed that Lanez “pretended that the video equipment was not working despite prison staff confirming it was functioning properly.”

Canadian Yosemite Sam’s behavior during the first deposition earned him a contempt citation from the judge, and he had to participate in another one, but this time under the judge’s supervision.

Lanez showed up at the courthouse with a new lawyer, who said his client wouldn’t answer any questions because of his appeal.

The third deposition will be held “at a date agreed upon by all parties,” per Judge Reid’s motion. Reid also says she may make Lanez repay Thee Stallions’ lawyers for wasting their time with his heada** behavior.

As for the actual trial, it is set to begin on Nov. 17. The “Lover Girl” crafter spoke about it last October after going public.

“It’s time to hold bloggers accountable for years of harassment, cyberbullying, and the publication of misinformation about my personal and professional life,” Thee Stallion said. “I’ve endured countless attacks on my character based on false narratives from social media bloggers misrepresenting themselves as journalists. It’s unacceptable behavior and these individuals need to understand there will be repercussions for recklessly posting lies and defamatory falsehoods.”

Lanez has filed a protective order requesting that he not be required to answer any more questions regarding the case, even though the lawsuit alleges that Gramz acted on Lanez’s behalf as part of her “campaign of harassment.”

Megan Thee Stallion has a fan in Queen Latifah. The Hip-Hop icon and actress had nothing but high praise for Houston musician during a recent visit to The Jennifer Hudson Show.

The 55-year-old rapper didn’t hold back the praise and admiration when Hudson shared a clip of Latifah and Thee Stallion rocking the Coachella stage together during Meg’s headlining act at the music festival.

Hudson also shared a clip of Thee Stallion and the “Ladies First” crafter trying escargo together with Latifah telling the singer/talk show host, “She’s so cool, she’s so fun, she’s so very talented and strong in her spot.”

She also added, “I love that energy carrying hip-hop into the future, of course.”

Latifah and Thee Stallion became the duo we all didn’t know we needed after she shared the stage with “Big Ole Freak” rapper during Meg’s weekend set at Coachella in April, instantly becoming one of the most significant moments of the festival, mainly when they performed Latifah’s powerful anthem “U.N.I.T.Y” together.

“She asked me to pop out at Coachella, and I was like, ‘What? For Real, OK?’ I had to bring it for her because this is Coachella, we gotta take that thing down,” Latifah said. “The people are gonna be ready.”

The Queen also took time to recognize the other big names, like Ciara and Victoria Monet, who also shared the stage with Megan Thee Stallion at Coachella.

“I wanna thank her again for having me, it was so much fun,” she continued. “They worked so hard, her dancers and everybody. It was just good energy that night.”

She also revealed that she is working on new music, but balancing life and time is holding her up from releasing it.

“But I’m a make some time because I want to get it out there,” Latifah said. “It’s all kinds of music too.”

Megan Thee Stallion has been in her soft girl energy, so she dropped some music to express it.

This is her first single in almost half a year. Early April, the Hot Girl dropped some bars off with “Whenever”. Her next one is for the girlies cuffed up with “my man, my man, my man.” Meg and her new boo, Klay Thompson, have been having the time of their lives. Courtside watching Klay, red carpet appearances, fried catfish, and spaghetti dates.

What may have been the funniest link-up was when they went golfing, and Klay was helping Thee Stallion with her stance.

Fans have been making them memes and relationship “goals”. As the Houston Hottie has expressed her happiness with the NBA All-Star. Which brings us to her new joint, “Lover Girl”. Very on brand to where she currently is, right?
The response to her new record has been amazing. Less than 24 hours in, and fans around the world are using the song as their relationship anthem.
Example #1:

The Stallion made it clear once the NBA season started that she was ready to get back in the lab. Posting a thirst trap captioned, “Okay hotties, my man gone to work now, y’all ready for me?”

Check out some of the reactions to Meg’s new song, “Lover Girl,” below.

1. The Hotties are eating it up already

2. Enjoy that 3 day weekend

3. The chorus got the people going

5. Chefs kiss

6. Hotties up 1000

7. The internet stays undefeated

8. Meg’s new joint had her hitting the YK Niece dance

9. Still a bop even if you don’t got a boo

10. The Hotties are loving the hook of “Lover Girl”

Megan Thee Stallion is taking her love for anime to another level.

Hitting the stage dressed as Bleach anime character Yoruichi Shihōin, Megan Thee Stallion announced she has an anime series coming to Prime Video.

Thee Stallion also revealed to the crowd in attendance that she will be teaming up with Boondocks’ creator Carl Jones to bring it to television screens everywhere.

“You ain’t never seen an anime like this ever in your life,” Thee Stallion teased.

Megan Thee Stallion’s deep-rooted love for anime has never been a secret; in fact, she has put it on the front street by using the Japanese style of animation in one of her music videos and teaming up with Crunchyroll. This Sony-owned American company distributes anime, for a limited capsule collection.

In an interview with Crunchyroll, Megan Thee Stallion described her growth as akin to that of an anime character.

“I’m half anime character, half rapper,” the “Savage” rapper said. “I like how you see a character, and it starts off, he’s not really the strongest, he might be a little weak, but he has to go through all this training. You grow with the character. You see all the trials and tribulations they go through. Then you meet new people along the way that help them become the person he needs to be. I apply that to my life a lot.”

Megan Thee Stallion Has Been Very Busy

Megan Thee Stallion is also coming off an epic moment in Miami during Swim Week, where she and her teeny weeny bikinis from her swimwear line hit the runway. While Tory Lanez, who was found guilty of shooting her continues to put out useless information to prove his innocence after the fact, to prove his innocence, Thee Stallion continues to branch out and become a whole mogul.

It’s genuinely going to be a hot girl summer at the beach and pool near you.
