Free from the shackles of 1501 Certified Entertainment, Megan Thee Stallion isn’t wasting any time delivering new music to the Hotties.
Following the news that she and her former label 1501 Certified Entertainment settled their issues, Thee Stallion shares details of “Cobra,” the first single off her Hot Girls Productions, the rapper’s “independent music and entertainment entity,” according to a press release.

Megan Thee Stallion has been methodically teasing the single set to arrive on November 3 across music streaming platforms, and based on the IG posts, there will be a video featuring the Hip-Hop star donning fangs and snake eyes.

Thee Stallion also shared a photo of the single artwork that solely features the rapper showing off her well-defined curves while rocking nothing but a costume bikini.
The same photo will also live on merchandise if you need a t-shirt of an oiled-up Megan Thee Stallion in the middle of a jungle in your life; we don’t blame you if you do.

Megan Thee Stallion Is BOOKED & BUSY
The single arrives right after Halloween, which is clearly the rapper’s favorite time of the year. She just recently held her annual Hottieween party in Atlanta.
This year’s edition of the bash was Tim Burton-themed and saw Megan Thee Stallion dressed as a flower. Other notable guests include Victoria Monet, GloRilla, Kash Doll, and more.

She also got into the celebrity Halloween spirit and recently shared her costume on the gram.

Mega Thee Stallion and her knees also hit the One MusicFest stage over the weekend in Atlanta, where she reminded attendees of all the hits she got in the stash.

We can’t wait to hear what “Cobra” sounds like, which is only part one of her rollout under the Hot Girls Productions imprint.

1501 Certified Entertainment will no longer be a thorn in the side of Megan Thee Stallion.
Spotted on Vulture via Billboard, the years of back and forth and court battles between Thee Stallion and 1501 Certified Entertainment have finally ended after both parties agreed to “amicably part ways.”

The Houston Hip-Hop star and Carl Crawford’s imprint “mutually reached a confidential settlement to resolve their legal differences,” lawyers revealed to Billboard on October 19.
The terms of the agreement were unavailable in Billboard’s reporting.

The news further confirms Megan Thee Stallion’s newfound independence after revealing to the Hotties that she is no longer on a label and will fund her next project, which seems to be on the way.
To show there is no more ill will between them, Carl Crawford, who wasn’t shy about bumping his gums and attacking his former artist throughout their legal battle, told Billboard that he and his label “wish Megan the very best in her life and career.”
The Road To Freedom Was A Hard-Fought One For Megan Thee Stallion
Megan Thee Stallion’s road to freedom from her now former label was a hard-fought one. The “Big Ole Freak” rapper filed multiple lawsuits against 1501 due to her deal that she alleged was “unconscionable,” with the support of her management, Roc Nation.
In our previous reporting, Thee Stallion accused her former label of trying to sabotage the release of her last project, Traumazine, the final album in her deal, and is owed money from missing royalties.
Thee Stallion’s lawyers even claimed that 1501 was draining its bank accounts to avoid paying Megan Thee Stallion.
The label countered, claiming Thee Stallion owed them money from her tours.
Congrats to Thee Stallion on getting her freedom.

Megan Thee Stallion is officially a free agent and is using her money to get her next project out.
On a recent Instagram Live session, Thee Stallion revealed to her loyal Hotties that she has gone independent. No longer having a label means she will be footing the bill to get her next project out.

“This part of my album is definitely very much funded by Megan Thee Stallion because you know we trying to get off… Y’all know what’s the tea,” the Houston Hip-Hop star said.

The “Big Ole Freak” crafter also added that she would be paying for the studio time, music videos, and marketing for the yet-to-be-named project that she could possibly already be teasing in previous IG posts.
“The next s**t y’all about to see ’bout to be all straight from Megan Thee Stallion’s brain and Megan Thee Stallion’s wallet. Yes, we are in my pockets, hotties, so let’s do our big one,” she said.

Megan Thee Stallion & Her Drama With Her Label
The news of Thee Stallion going independent should surprise no one, and she has been engaged in a very public battle with Carl Crawford’s 1501 Certified Entertainment.
The rapper claimed her last project, Traumazine, which has been certified gold by the RIAA, was the previous project to fulfill her contractual obligation.
Crawford argued the project before Traumazine, Something For The Hotties, did not qualify as an album; thus, Megan Thee Stallion did not fulfill her contractual obligations.
Thee Stallion also accused her former label of trying to sabotage her career and acting funny with her money. She was granted a restraining order by a judge in 2022.
The news also has some on social media reacting, being loud and wrong, mainly directing energy towards Roc Nation, which manages Thee Stallion and has nothing to do with funding her music projects.

As long as Thee Stallion is mentally in a good space, we are happy she has finally rid herself of Carl Crawford and 1501 Certified Entertainment.

Megan Thee Stallion’s foundation seeks to spread joy worldwide with help from the Southern Black Girls and Women Consortium (SBGWC) on International Day of the Girl Child.

Spotted on NewsOne, the SBGWC announced its partnership with the Grammy Award-winning Houston rapper’s Pete and Thomas Foundation for a new #BlackGirlJoyChallenge.

The website also reports that Nike will lend support to help maintain the #BlackGirlJoyChallenge movement to inspire youth while promoting mental health through joy.
Per NewsOne:
We are incredibly excited to collaborate with Megan Thee Stallion’s Pete and Thomas Foundation,” Malikah Berry Rogers, executive director of the Southern Black Girls, stated in a press release. “There’s a song that says, ‘I’m a movement by myself, but we’re a force when we’re together.’ That line is true with this special cycle of the #BlackGirlJoyChallenge because together, we are igniting a movement that celebrates mental health and wellness through the simple, yet powerful, act of spreading JOY.”
Megan Thee Stallion Continues To Tackle Mental Health Awareness
Megan Thee Stallion has been very vocal about dealing with mental health issues. In September, she announced on Instagram the creation of her mental health website, Seize The Awkward.
In the caption alongside a video, the rapper wrote, “Y’all, it’s okay to not be okay. Reach out to a friend if you see them going through it.”

Seize The Awkward is a website that gives people the resources to have tough conversations about mental health, allowing them to help a friend or themselves.
If anyone knows about struggling with mental health, it’s Megan Thee Stallion, who had dealt with hate following the Tory Lanez shooting and her hating ass label 1501 Certified Entertainment.
Salute to Thee Stallion and Southern Black Girls and Women Consortium for prioritizing Black girl’s mental health.

Tory Lanez is allegedly trying to show the world he is built for prison life and wants to be in general population.
Inmate BW0168, aka Tory Lanez, does not want to spend his prison bid isolated and protected from the other prisoners because of his fame. Instead, he wants to be in gen-pop because he’s not afraid, TMZ reports.

Per TMZ:

Ceasar McDowell — a member of Tory’s legal team and the CEO of Unite the People — tells us he’s spoken to TL a few times since he was denied bond pending his appeal, and apparently Tory has a preference on where to be housed at the new facility … gen pop.
Indeed … we’re told Tory’s first choice is to be among the other inmates, as opposed to being siloed away in a protective wing … where high-profile inmates often go. Instead, McDowell tells us Tory’s relayed to him … he wants to be among the common crowd, which is somewhat shocking.
The celebrity gossip site broke the news that the convicted felon was being isolated during his bid in North Kern State Prison because that’s usually how prisoners with his status are treated.
Despite being dangerous to be in the general population, Lanez is not worried at all. McDowell believes the miniature rapper can handle himself if put in gen-pop.
The website also reports that Lanez is pushing to be with the rest of the prisoners to take advantage of programs and resources only available to regular inmates.
This One Thing Worries Tory Lanez
While he allegedly doesn’t fear prison life, there is one thing that the “Say It” crafter is scared about: not being able to talk with his family.
During his time at L.A. County Jail, he could speak with his loved ones whenever he wanted. At North Kern State Prison, he no longer has that option.

Tory Lanez’s mugshot has arrived, and it’s a pure, glorious struggle.
Convicted felon Tory Lanez is now an inmate at North Kern State Prison in Delano, California.
The singer/rapper’s mugshot arrived on the internet, signaling the start of his prison stint, which is hilarious because he once boasted on X (formerly Twitter) that he was not going to prison for shooting Megan Thee Stallion.
Justice was finally served on August 8 when Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge David Herriford slapped Lanez with his well-deserved sentence, seven months after he was convicted of the shooting, ending three years of trauma for the Houston rapper.
The “Say It” crafter was convicted of assault with a semiautomatic firearm, discharging a firearm with gross negligence, carrying a loaded, unregistered handgun in a vehicle, and allegations that he used it to inflict bodily harm.
In the photo currently making its rounds on social media, Lanez looks fed up as reality sets in that he will no longer get special treatment and go by inmate number “BW0168,” according to The Shaderoom.
Lanez is not going down without a fight and is currently appealing the conviction. He did make an attempt to stay out of prison as he awaits to appeal the decision.
Unfortunately for him, Judge Herriford said nah, citing Lanez committing a  “violent felony” and his “history of violating court orders.”
Lanez was transferred from Los Angeles County Jail to North Kern State Prison after his bail request was denied. ET reports that he will spend three to six months in a medium-security prison and then in a long-term facility to serve the rest of his 10-year bid.
Judge Herriford did bless Lanez with 305-day credit for time served.
Social Media Reactions To Tory Lanez’s Mugshot
The internet is clowing Lanez’s mugshot, specifically his struggle hairline. It’s no secret that Lanez struggles with his hair, and based on his photo, he should just “come on home,” to quote the great Charles Barkley, and go back to the bald look.

Tory Lanez is off to jail to serve out his sentence after a last-ditch motion from his legal team to obtain bail was denied.
On Thursday (Sept. 14), Los Angeles Superior Court Judge David Herriford denied a motion for bail brought by a legal team representing the rapper. The filed action to stop the prison sentence Lanez received so he could live in the Los Angeles area with his son was filed by Crystal Morgan, an attorney with Unite the People Inc., a criminal justice non-profit organization.

“As an organization committed to promoting justice and equality, we firmly believe in standing by our clients and supporting them in times of need,” Unite the People said in a statement released after the hearing. “Mr. Peterson has been an integral part of our advisory board, contributing his time, resources, and expertise to further our cause. It is now our turn to stand by him and ensure that he receives a fair and just legal process.”
The Canadian artist was found guilty in December 2022 of three felonies in the shooting of Megan Thee Stallion, leaving her wounded with bullet fragments in her feet after an incident in the Hollywood Hills neighborhood on July 12, 2020. After months of delays, the 31-year-old was sentenced to 10 years in prison with 10 months of credit for the time he has already served.
“This week in court I took responsibility for all verbal and intimate moments that I shared with the parties involved,” Tory Lanez wrote in an Instagram post two days afterward. “That’s it. In no way shape or form was I apologizing for the charges I’m being wrongfully convicted of. I remain on the stance that I refuse to apologize for something that I did not do.”
Tory Lanez, also known as Daystar Peterson, was previously represented by attorneys Jose Baez and Matthew Barhoma from the outset of his trial including during his conviction and the Aug. 8 hearing where he received his sentence. Neither lawyer has answered requests for comment on the latest development in the situation. Unite the People CEO and co-founder Ceasar McDowell did state that they would seek to appeal to a higher court after the hearing.

With the VMAs, there always seems to be some drama. Many viewers thought Megan Thee Stallion had some drama with Justin Timberlake backstage, but the leader of the Hot Girls shut that all down.
On a night when Megan Thee Stallion made her big return to the music world, hitting the VMAs’ red carpet looking as fine as she wanted to be in a sheer number, as fans waited to see her join Cardi B on the VMAs’ stage to perform their new released single “Bongos.”
Before the two rappers and good friends hit the stage, an incident caught on MTV VMAs’ backstage camera had users on X (formerly known as Twitter) reacting.
A video of Megan Thee Stallion while getting ready for her “Bongos” performance, seemingly involved in a heated back and forth with Justin Timberlake, who was in attendance as part of the N’Sync reunion, began making its rounds.

What Really Happened Between Megan Thee Stallion & Justin Timberlake
Following their performance of “Bongos,” reports quickly surfaced that the exchange between Thee Stallion and Justin Timberlake was much ado about nothing.
Per Vulture:
While fans were ready to ride for their stallion, Variety confirmed with a source that there was no fight at all, saying the interaction was actually “very cute.” Timberlake allegedly told Megan that it was nice to meet her, but Megan wanted more than a quick hello. “She said, ‘No, no, this don’t count, this don’t count. We gotta meet proper,’” the source explained. Maybe a Megan Thee Stallion and’ N Sync collab was the surprise Taylor Swift was hoping for.
To further debunk there is no bad blood between them, the Houston rapper shared a video on her Instagram account to prove everything is all good, writing in the caption, “I just talk with my hands.”

Spotted on TMZ Hip Hop, Thee Stallion stepped for the first time since Tory Lanez was officially sentenced in sheer numbers, flaunting her curves and continually shrinking waist.

In videos shared on her TikTok page, Thee Stallion linked up with Juicy J and friends to create senses-tantalizing content dancing to Three 6 Mafia’s “Half on Sack.”
