Liam Payne’s Death Marks the Loss of a ‘Brother’ & A Beloved Boy Band

When One Direction arrived in America in 2011, the five-member British boy band took the pop world by storm. More than a decade later, fans of the wildly popular group were devastated to learn of the death of Liam Payne last week at age 31.

The four remaining members of the group — Harry Styles, Zayn Malik, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson — united once more to share a heartbreaking message to their lost “brother,” writing on the band’s Instagram page: “We’re completely devastated by the news of Liam’s passing. In time, and when everyone is able to, there will be more to say. But for now, we will take some time to grieve and process the loss of our brother, who we loved dearly.”

On the new Billboard Pop Shop Podcast, Katie & Keith reflect on Payne’s loss and discuss how his tragic death robs 1D fans of the chance to ever see their beloved group perform together again.

Mike Will Made-It’s ‘R3set,’ Lil Yachty & Lil Wayne on ‘High3r,’  Miley Cyrus ‘Inspires’ Him | Billboard News

Mike Will Made-It is releasing his first album in seven years, R3set. He shares what his fans can expect from his new work, what it was like to work with Rihanna and Beyonce, why Miley Cyrus constantly “inspires” him, his journey as a producer and more!

Catrise Johnson:
Hey, everyone. It’s your girl, Catrise J, and we are here with Mike Will Made-It. Congratulations on your new album, R3set. It’s your first album in seven years. How do you feel?

Mike Will Made-It:
Man, it’s been a journey for real. Like it’s Ransom 3. So like each Ransom is like over, like different phases, and like Ransom stands for, like, releasing all new songs, orchestrated by might well. When I came out with the first one, it was like me coming after that, 2012, 2013, 2014 run. But it was a buzz tool for me at the time, because I was like, “Man, I can put together Kendrick, Wayne and Future in the song and make ‘Buy the World.’ I can put together Miley Cyrus, Wiz Khalifa and Juicy J. I could put Future and Swae Lee, and on the track and make ‘Drinks on Us.’” Like that’s how I was coming about the first Ransom, and I wanted to do it as many times as possible.

And the second Ransom, I wanted to do like a little refined version of that, Gucci Mane, Kendrick, Rae Sremmurd, “Perfect. Pint.” YG, 21 and the Migos “Gucci On My.” We had some cool collaborations on that. And that was also a long project. And around that time, right there, I had lost my hard drives. My hard drives had gotten stolen.

I heard about that.

Yeah, I really eased back from the music. And then I started buying real estate. So I bought about my studio that I work here right now in Atlanta, like when I first got that, it would just be like, couple TVs on the wall, we’d just be in there gambling on 2K. I wasn’t even, I wasn’t really tripping on the music like that.

Eslabon Armado Try the New Chicken Big Mac From McDonald’s | Billboard

Presented by McDonald’s

Is a Chicken Big Mac really a Big Mac? Find out with Eslabon Armado (Pedro Tovar, Brian Tovar, Ulises González and Damián Pacheco) as they sit down for their first taste of the new Chicken Big Mac, available at a participating McDonald’s location near you for a limited time.

Pedro Tovar

I think the first time I tried a Big Mac, I was probably like 8 or 9. I tried it and I fell in love with it.

Brian Tovar

I’ve actually still to this day never tried a Big Mac, because I’ve always been so loyal to my McChicken. And since the chicken Big Mac is coming out, that’s the most excited I’ve ever been in my life.

Damian Pacheco

I have high expectations to try the new chicken Big Mac, because I love that special sauce they got on the Big Mac. So it’s like the two best worlds colliding.

Ulises Gonzalez

I feel like all the Big Mac lovers are still gonna end up liking it.

Brian Tovar

People just want to see change. So I think it’s gonna be, it’s gonna be a generational thing.

Ulises Gonzalez

I’m not gonna lie. I think this one might be better than the classic, just because I like chicken. Me personally, I think this is better than the classic.

Pedro Tovar

It’s unbeatable to me, the sauce.

Ulises Gonzalez

I think regardless whether it’s chicken or beef, I think the sauce is what makes a Big Mac, for sure.

Damian Pacheco

What makes a Big Mac a Big Mac is that double stack. Honestly.

Brian Tovar

The chicken Big Mac, it definitely can be a classic, because the way I was expecting it was just to be a big chicken stacked on each other, but with all the flavors that the sauce, the cheese, everything just kind of has its own taste. It’s definitely up there to be a classic.

Old Man Trump “Exhausted”, Nixing Interviews With Neutral Outlets

HipHopWired Featured Video

US-VOTE-POLITICS-TRUMP

Former President Donald Trump is turning down interviews with outlets that are seen as unfriendly to him and raising concerns.

According to reports, former President Donald Trump is backing out of interviews with multiple outlets days before the November presidential election, with a staffer citing him as being “exhausted”. The claim comes after the Republican presidential nominee’s campaign team canceled interviews with neutral outlets with key audiences including The Shade Room.

Two sources close to the conversation stated that an adviser told producers with The Shade Room that Trump was “exhausted and refusing [some] interviews but that could change”, but it could change at any time. The sources also claimed that the adviser suggested Waka Flocka Flame, the veteran rapper who’s a major Trump supporter, as a fill-in interview for the platform.

Trump has also notably backed out of other interviews recently, beginning with CBS’ 60 Minutes a week ago as well as one with NBC and one set for CNBC’s Squawk Box.

When contacted by Politico about his state of alleged exhaustion, Trump’s national press secretary Karoline Leavitt blasted the report stating that it “is unequivocally false.” When asked about his cancellations, Leavitt replied:” That’s B.S. President Trump has never backed down from any interview. This is a man who held a CNN town hall in the middle of the Republican primary, for goodness’ sake.”

While Trump has made media appearances, they’ve been with outlets more friendly to him such as Fox News and most recently on the Six Feet Under podcast hosted by former WWE star Mark “The Undertaker” Calaway.

The cancellations also come as Trump has displayed a pattern of rambling and making outlandish comments in his recent campaign rallies.

In Latrobe, Pennsylvania on Saturday (October 19), while paying tribute to Latrobe native and legendary golfer Arnold Palmer, Trump told a story referring to Palmer’s genitalia. When he’s good, he’s great, and when he’s off message, he’s not so great,” Trump adviser David Urban said in an interview with the New York Times. “I don’t think anyone is really changing their mind at this point, but when he distracts from his biggest, broadest messaging, it’s counterproductive because the Harris campaign uses it to turn out their voters.”

Vice President Kamala Harris has been making multiple media appearances including her interview with Bret Baier of Fox News which proved to be a ratings hit with over nine million viewers tuning in.
