Fans speculate that Cardi B is making her musical comeback after the rapper noticeably wiped her social media pages. Cardi B is making a comeback. There’s a brand-new No. 1 song in the country, updates on Rihanna, Selena Gomez and Fifth Harmony and giving you the rundown on a Women in Music honoree. I am so excited for this Monday, welcome to Billboard News, I’m Tetris and it’s February 26th. I got a lot of new faces to discuss, including the reason I’m wearing cowboy boots, which you can’t see. But let’s just kick things off with the goodies. Here’s three things you should know today. What would you give to get inside a car with Rihanna? Well, that was the experience for some lucky fans in Milan in a viral video. Rihanna let some fans in her ride for some selfies. I mean, NAVY may not be getting any new music, but that’s arguably much better. Speaking of fans, we love the famous friends fangirling over each other, and that’s just what Reese Witherspoon did to Selena Gomez at the SAG Awards. Hyping her girl up right after she released her new song “Love On.” Loving on “Love On,” I can’t even imagine having an Academy Award winner tell you they like your music. Selena, you really struck friendship gold. Also excelling in the friend department is Normani, after sharing the album artwork and a snippet from her new album ‘Dopamine,’ her Fifth Harmony sisters all jumped in the comments to show her love and this is why I’ll always be a Harmonizer. That kind of sisterhood will stand the test of time and I’ll be ready when the reunion comes.

Billboard Explains: Luísa Sonza’s Global Force On The Charts

Brazilian artists Luísa Sonza knows a thing or two about getting on the Billboard charts. And that’s why she’s this year as Women In Music Global Force honoree. Luísa first got her start in 2014, singing covers on YouTube and first entered the charts in 2020. This is Billboard Explains Luísa Sonza’s global force on the charts. Luísa has seven songs on the global excluding US chart including “Cachorrinhas” which peaked at No. 69 in 2022. “Modo Turbo” with Pablo Vittar, featuring Anitta, that one hit No. 71 in 2021, and Chico, which peaked at No. 78 in 2023. Those three songs also charted on the Billboard Global 200. Outside of the US, Luísa has charted 12 songs on the Billboard Brazil Hot 100 including three top 10s. “Chico” which hit No. 1,”Penhasco2″ with Demi Lovato which hit No. 4 and “Sou Musa do Verão” with Marshmello which hit No. 9. She’s released three studio albums, two EPs and two compilations, has collaborated with Katy Perry on the song “Cry About It Later.” The Brazilian artist is already making an impact around the world and we can’t wait to see what’s coming next.

This is the Billboard Hot 100 top 10 for the week dated March 2. Climbing back into the top 10 is “Agora Hills”; “I Remember Everything” is at No. 9.

Tate McRae is “Greedy” at eight, with Tay’s “Cruel Summer” at No. 7, SZA’s “Snooze” is at No. 6, while Benson Boone stays in the top five.

Kanye and crew fall a spot to No. 4, as Teddy Swims jumps back up to No. 3.

Jack Harlow slips a spot to two.

In it’s second week, becoming Beyoncé ninth No. 1 is “Texas Hold ‘Em.”

Hey Billboard I’m Nina McNeely, I’m the director of LE SSERAFIM’s new music video “Easy.” I came up with the concept for the video to create this futuristic surrealist world for the girls to explore. It’s like a post apocalyptic world realm that’s been taken over by nature, we’re exploring working with projections, we’re exploring iconography and different symbolism and it’s been a real joy to work with the girls on this.

Huh Yunjin
Hi Billboard, this is Yunjin and the next scene I’m gonna to be filming is me laying in Hong Eunchae’s lap and shedding some golden tears.

So in this video I really wanted to create like a heightened sense of fashion and drama and really recreate some more unique things that aren’t seen in K-Pop videos quite as often. So we just shot a scene that just resembled Michelangelo’s sculpture the Pietà.

And you know Top, literally, somehow always had this belief in me.

Behind some of the biggest artists in Hip-Hop and R&B is Top Dawg. Record producer Anthony “Top Dawg” Tiffith founded a label of the same name in 2004. A prolific producer, he earned three Grammys for his work with Kendrick and he’s become one of the smartest entrepreneurs in the game. Some of his biggest accomplishments under TDE are executive producing the soundtrack album for Marvel Studios’ ‘Black Panther.’

“All the Stars” earned him two Grammy nominations.

And she kicks butt.

Billboard Explains: Kylie Minogue Dancing Up the Charts

Kylie Minogue is Billboard‘s 2024 Icon honoree at Women in Music. Throughout her decades-long career, Minogue has put out huge hits on multiple Billboard charts.

This is Billboard Explains: Kylie Minogue Dancing Up the Charts.

The Australian hitmaker got her first Hot 100 top 10 chart debut back in 1988 with her massive hit the “The Loco-Motion,” which peaked at No. 3. Fourteen years later, she made it to the top 10 again with her sensational hit “Can’t Get You Out of My Head,” a song that we definitely couldn’t get out of our heads in 2002.

Her sweet spot is the Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, where she had 18 songs, including her big hit “Padam Padam,” which peaked at No. 7 in June 2023. The song even won her a Grammy in the newly formed Best Pop Dance Recording category.

Kylie is also no stranger to the Billboard 200. She’s had 11 albums chart, including Fever, which hit the top 10, peaking at No. 3 in 2002.

With her long span on the Billboard charts, it’s no wonder Kylie is the 2024 Billboard Women in Music Icon honoree.
