It’s been five years since Marvel announced that Blade would be joining their ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe. Since then, the rebooted franchise has suffered setback after setback, and it’s gotten to the point where fans doubt the film centered around the “Day Walker” would ever see the light of day.

Luckily for us, it seems like the President of Marvel Studios, Kevin Feige, hasn’t given up on the project and recently stated that Blade is still a priority and its star, Mahershala Ali, is still all in on becoming the latest superhero in the MCU. According to Deadline, Feige spoke with Brazilian entertainment website Omelete about Blade and a few other Marvel projects and revealed that not only is Blade still very much happening, but that Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch is still very much alive in the MCU and could be making a return sooner than later.

Though rumors had been swirling that Marvel was close to giving up on Blade (as was Mahershala Ali) after a few directors quit or passed on the project and the script was rewritten a few times, fans of the vampire killing are rejoicing as Feige says that they’re dedicated to bringing Blade into the MCU and resurrecting the franchise that technically kicked off the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Per Deadline:
“We love the character, we love Mahershala’s version of him. And rest assured: whenever we change direction with a project, or are still trying to figure out how it fits into our schedule, we let the public know. You’re up to date on what’s going on. But I can tell you that the character will be coming to the MCU,” Feige said.
We sure hope so. While the future of Blade was up in the air, there were whispers that Wesley Snipes would be reprising the role in Marvel’s upcoming Avengers: Secret Wars as his return in Deadpool & Wolverine showed that the man still had a lot left in the tank with the character.
As for Elizabeth Olson’s Scarlett Witch, who supposedly met her fate at the end of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, she too will be making her return in the upcoming future, following the success of the Disney+ series, Agatha All Along.
“Since then (Agatha), there have been a lot of questions about Wanda on fans’ minds… So all I can say is that we’re excited to find out when and how the Scarlet Witch might return,” Feige said.
With word that Scarlett Witch may get her own film or series, rumors are already swirling that the X-Men’s Jean Grey could make her MCU debut in a potential Scarlett Witch project.

Another nice little tidbit in Feige’s interview with Omelete was the potential debut of Miles Morales Spider-Man who may get called into MCU action after Sony wraps up their Spider-Verse series.
“I hope that, shortly after that (Beyond the Spider-Verse), he can enter the MCU in live-action.”
Are y’all ready for a Black and Puerto Rican Spider-Man? We know we are.
What do y’all think about Kevin Feige’s revelations? Who should be cast as Miles Morales? Let us know in the comments section below.

Deadpool might be “Marvel Jesus” after “resurrecting” the MCU with Deadpool and Wolverine. Can he do the same for Wesley Snipes’ Blade movie franchise?
After Deadpool and Wolverine did what many expected it to at the box office, becoming the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time, Ryan Reynolds has been sharing moments from the cameo-filled goodbye to the Fox Marvel universe and giving props to each of the actors who helped him, Hugh Jackman and director Shawn Levy make history.
One person in particular, Reynolds, has been showering with praise, none other than Wesley Snipes, the original cinematic version of The Daywalker, Blade, aka “Marvel Daddy.”

In a post to his social media accounts, Reynolds echoed sentiments shared by many Marvel fans, who call for Snipes’ Blade to return.
Snipes has been credited with saving Marvel from bankruptcy with his hit 1998 Blade film, followed by 2002’s Blade II and 2004’s Blade: Trinity. The latter also starred Reynolds but was not as well received as the first two films, which allegedly led to some bad blood between the two actors.
So, you can imagine Snipes’ return as the human/vampire vamp hunter in Deadpool and Wolverine generated a lot of excitement, and Reynolds acknowledged that.
In an Instagram post, he called for “More Blade Please,” wanting Snipes’s version of Blade to get a sendoff akin to Hugh Jackman’s “Swan Song” in Logan.
“The reaction when @realwesleysnipes enters the movie is the most intense thing l’ve heard in a theater. People screaming with uninhibited joy and love is also the sound of a legacy. More Blade please. #DayWalker ***A Logan-style send off, specifically,” Reynolds wrote.
We can’t argue with that.
Can Ryan Reynolds Push Kevin Feige To Give Snipes’ Blade Another Movie?
We don’t know how much influence Ryan Reynolds has over Marvel Studios’ head, Kevin Feige, so it’s not certain that something like that will happen.
But he has a sound bargaining chip worth $1.029 billion. There is also that Blade reboot starring Mahershala Ali as the titular character currently stuck in “development hell.” Still, Feige insists that his studio is taking its time so they can deliver a good film.
Still, many fans feel like Ryan Reynolds; you can see those reactions in the gallery below.

1. E-Man with some ideas for a Wesley Snipes movie, Kevin Feige we you are listening

2. We hope not, because we want BOTH!

3. We all did.

4. No debate here.

Jonathan Majors has finally broken his silence about losing his Marvel Studios gig.
The actor revealed how he was feeling after seeing Robert Downey Jr. make his triumphant return to the universe he built, the MCU, and secure a tremendous bag to the play Marvel Studios’ next big bad, Victor Von Doom, aka Doctor Doom, officially putting to bed Major’ Kang The Conqueror.
Speaking with TMZ, Majors revealed he was “heartbroken” after Marvel Studios announced its latest casting decision at San Diego Comic-Con.
Majors’ Kang was set to play a significant role in this current phase after making his MCU debut in Loki season 1, then starring in Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quatumania.
That all came to a halt after Majors was convicted of assaulting his now ex-girlfriend, and Marvel Studios kicked him to the curb.
“Yeah, heartbroken,” Majors told the celebrity gossip site after being asked how he felt about RDJ taking over the villain role in the upcoming Avengers films. “Come on, yeah, of course. I love him. I love Kang.”

The actor expressed optimism about returning as Kang said, “If that’s what the fans want, if that’s what Marvel wants, let’s roll.”
We doubt that will happen.
Majors also talked about Ezra Miller, RDJ receiving second chances in their careers.

As expected, users on X, formerly Twitter, had plenty to say since the recasting decision. Some are still putting on their capes for Majors.
“Can we as black men agree to stop repeating the lies about Jonathan Majors??? He did not “fumble” anything. A racist white woman named Grace Jabbari weaponized a racist criminal justice system to ruin Jonathan Majors life with obvious falsehoods. Stop lying about that man,” one post on X read.
Others do not feel bad for him at all, and he compares his situation to Ezra Miller and RDJ.
“This is so misleading Ezra DID NOT get another shot. His movie was already filmed so DC(not Marvel/Disney) decided to still release it and not lose money. RDJ issues were over 20 years ago. Iron man was his redemption role and that came years after his mishaps,” another post read.
Welp.

We know even more about the upcoming film Captain America: Brave New World, and it sounds like this should be a win for Marvel Studios.

Over the weekend, Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios triumphantly returned to Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con to discuss their upcoming slate of movies coming to the MCU.

Coming off its first trailer, Captain America: Brave New World is Sam Wilson’s (Anthony Mackie) first feature-length film as the titular hero after taking over the mantle from Steve Rogers (Chris Evans).

New Footage Confirms Plenty of Speculation About The Film’s Plot
During the panel, fans saw new footage from the film featuring President Thunderbolt Ross (Harrison Ford) finally talking about the giant elephant in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the dead Celestial just chilling in the middle of the Indian Ocean.
Ross addresses world leaders during the Celestial Island Summit, revealing the now-dead Celestial, Tiamut, whose body is made of Adamantium, which now replaces Vibranium as the strongest metal on the planet.
The new U.S. President, who didn’t care for the Avengers in Captain America: Civil War, wants Wilson to help form and lead a new Avengers squad.
The new footage also gave attendees an even better look at Ford as the Red Hulk, who was revealed to be the villain behind the destruction of the White House in the trailer.
Fans were happy to see Harrison Ford hit the stage and even reenact what he looked like “Hulking out” while filming.

Giancarlo Esposito finally revealed who he would play in the film, and it’s not who many thought it was. Initially, theories had Esposito playing G.W. Bridge, but, of course, they were wrong.

Esposito will play playing Sidewinder, the King of the Serpent Society.

Captain America: Brave New World arrives in theaters on February 14, 2025.
Other Big Announcements
High on the energy that Deadpool and Wolverine have injected into the Disney-owned studio, Feige happily announced that The Russo Brothers, who gave us easily the best films in the MCU, are back to direct the next two Avengers movies, Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars.
We also learned Robert Downey Jr., the man who helped build the MCU as we know it as Tony Stark /Iron Man, will be back, but this time as Victor Von Doom, who happens to like the Infinity Saga’s hero or an evil variant aka the Infamous Iron Man.
Downey Jr.’s version of Doctor Doom will also allegedly be from the Fantastic 4: First Steps timeline, which introduces Marvel’s first family of superheroes to the MCU.
Footage of the film starring Pedro Pascal (Reed Richards /Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby (Sue Storm/Invisible Storm), Joseph Quinn (Johnny Storm/ The Human Torch), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (Ben Grimm/ The Thing) was also shown during the panel and gave attendees their first look at the planet devourer, Galactus, played by Ralph Ineson.
It is starting to feel like the MCU is back.
Just saying.

Well, it’s official. Jonathan Majors’ Kang The Conqueror storyline is no more and Dr. Doom will be taking the helm is the big bad villain going forward in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This past weekend social media was buzzing not only with it’s praise of Deadpool & Wolverine (the film was superb) but with shock as it was revealed that Robert Downey Jr. would be returning to the MCU, but instead of reviving his iconic Iron Man character, RDJ will be taking on the mantle of Victor Von Doom a.k.a Dr. Doom. The big surprise came during Marvel’s panel at San Diego’s Comic Con event and it blew the roof off the place after Robert Downey took off a cheap Dr. Doom mask to reveal he had been tapped to take on the long rumored replacement for Majors’ Kang The Conqueror.

The big reveal left many fans speculating as to how RDJ’s Dr. Doom will play out in the MCU. While many think he’ll be a variation of Tony Stark’s Iron Man in a different Marvel universe, it was stated that he will be Victor Von Doom and not Tony Stark.
While some worry this casting choice might hurt the legacy that RDJ left behind with his iteration of Iron Man, we have to note that the Russo Brothers will be taking the helm of the next to Avengers films (Avengers: Doomsday & Avengers: Secret Wars) and if you’ve been following the films they’ve directed for Marvel Studios you know they’re basically 4 – 4 with their record. Captain America: Winter Soldier, Captain America: Civil War, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame are all arguably in Marvel’s Top 5 films list. So we’re sure they know what they’re doing.
Taking to IG himself, Robert Downey Jr. is ready to take on the role posting a pic of his next face mask and writing “New mask, same task.”

Looks like it’s on RDJ to once again save the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
But Robert Downey Jr. returning to the MCU wasn’t the only news that Marvel broke during their SDCC panel over the weekend. They also revealed that the Fantastic Four film will be named First Steps and will take place in an alternate Marvel universe where they’ll face off with Galactus and the female version of the Silver Surfer, and the Thunderbolts film is officially in the works and will hit theaters in 2025.
Check out some more reveals after the jump and let us know how you’re feeling about the MCU going forward in the comments section below.

After months of rumors as to who would be directing the highly anticipated Avengers: Kang Dynasty and Avengers: Secret Wars, it seems like Marvel Studios might be bringing back the duo that gave us some of the greatest Marvel films ever — the Russo brothers.

Variety is reporting that Joe and Anthony Russo are in negotiations with Marvel Studios to have them direct the upcoming Avengers films after the duo took a break from comic book-themed films, following the record-breaking success of the Infinity Saga’s conclusion in Avengers: Endgame. Though the Russo brothers had initially stated they’d return to Marvel to direct a Secret Wars film if it ever came to fruition, Marvel has spent the last year or so searching for directors to take the helm of said film once it was announced.

Why Marvel didn’t simply ask the dynamic duo of directors to return is anyone’s guess, but everyone from Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang-Chi) to Ryan Cooler (Black Panther) to Shawn Levy (Deadpool, Wolverine) was said to be in the running to take the helm. Ultimately, the Avengers projects still remain without a director.
Complicating the matter is the fact that Jonathan Majors was supposed to play the main villain in both films as Kang The Conqueror, but after Marvel let him go due to his domestic abuse conviction, no one knows how they’ll resolve that storyline going forward. It seems like Marvel will recast the role, however, with word that the next installment of Avengers will no longer be called The Kang Dynasty, rumors are swirling that Kang may play a smaller role than expected if he’s even in the films at all.
Variety reports:
It’s unclear when Marvel plans to begin production on the upcoming “Avengers” installments. Anthony and Joe Russo’s next film is Netflix’s “The Electric State,” a sci-fi adventure with Chris Pratt and Millie Bobby Brown that completed shooting in late 2022.
The Russos have directed four Marvel films, including 2014’s “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” and 2016’s “Captain America: Civil War.” “Avengers: Endgame” is the second-highest grossing movie in history with $2.79 billion while “Infinity War” is the sixth biggest with $2.05 billion. They’re in the company of James Cameron as the only directors with two $2 billion blockbusters.
With a proven track record of not only creating classic but also well-written Marvel films, the Russo brothers are probably the safest bet to take on such a task at the current moment as many feel that Marvel Studio films have fallen way off over the past few years.
What do y’all think about the Russo brothers possibly returning to direct the next two Avengers films? Let us know in the comments section below.

For a while now Giancarlo Esposito had been campaigning to be the next Professor X in the Marvel Cinematic Universe so when word spread that he’d been tapped to join the MCU, many assumed it was to lead the X-Men whenever that project went into production.

Now Variety is reporting that Esposito is indeed gearing up to make his MCU debut, but it won’t be as one of the most powerful mutants in the Marvel universe. Instead, the Emmy Award-winning actor will be joining the star-studded cast of Captain America 4: Brave New World, which is set to release early in 2025. He joins the likes of Anthony Mackie, Harrison Ford and Liv Tyler amongst many others and though he hasn’t said which character he’ll be taking on, it definitely won’t be Professor X.
Variety reports:

“There’s something about being original. We’ve seen different versions of Professor X,” Esposito told the crowd. “Wouldn’t you like to see me play a character in a Marvel movie who is original, and new, and fresh? So, mark my words: This will happen sooner than you think.”
Esposito’s role in “Brave New World” is being kept under wraps (though it has been described as villainous). The Marvel movie is rolling on additional photography ahead of its Feb. 14, 2025 theatrical release date.
So we’re getting a brand new villain that hasn’t even appeared in the comics or that hasn’t made their cinematic debut?
While we don’t know much about Captain America 4, rumors circulated that an early test screening for Marvel executives didn’t go over so well and reshoots were ordered as they felt the film needed some improvements. There’s even word that WWE superstar Seth Rollins role as the leader of the Serpent Society has been cut out completely from the film as execs felt it complicated the plot and wasn’t necessary to the overall story. We’re lowkey disappointed about that.
Who do you think Giancarlo Esposito is going to be in the Marvel Cinematic Universe? Will it be a brand new character or someone who hasn’t made it to film yet? Let us know in the comments section below.

Actress Zoe Saldaña might be done with her character of Gamora in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but she’s hoping that fans of Guardians of the Galaxy can keep the series alive as it holds a special place in her heart.

According to the Playlist, Zoe Saldaña touched on the subject in an upcoming interview on their The Discourse podcast and said she’d hope to see Guardians of the Galaxy return to the big screen in the future even if she’s not a part of the team. Though the return of Chris Pratt’s Starlord character was teased at the end of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, the future of the franchise remains unknown as both Zoe Saldaña and Dave Bautista (Drax the Destroyer) have both said they’re done with the franchise.
Still, the Colombiana actress would love to see another installment of GOTG at some point in the future.
Per the Playlist:

“I mean, so far, I think that she is [gone for good] for me, but I don’t think Gamora has gone for good,” she explained.
The actress clearly has great affection for the series, too, and hopes that it’ll return one day and she’ll be first in line to buy a ticket.
“I would think it would be a huge loss for Marvel if they didn’t find a way to bring back ‘The Guardians of the Galaxy,’” she said. “It’s just such a fan-favorite group of misfits, you know? And then at the helm, they had a voice like James Gunn’s writing—which is just so marvelous for and very specific for this genre. And it’s so great for this genre as well. So, I would be the first one in the first row to sort of celebrate when the Guardians of the Galaxy come back.”
As Marvel fans we’d much rather see Captain America (Chris Evans) and/or Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) return to the big screen, but that’s just us. No shots to Guardians of the Galaxy.
Truth be told there is a slight chance that Marvel does bring back the original Guardians of the Galaxy team at some point as their much hyped Avengers: Secret Wars is set to be a blockbuster event that brings in superheroes from past films from various Marvel franchises. Unfortunately, Secret Wars isn’t set to release until 2028, so we have quite some time before we find out whether Zoe Saldaña will have her wish come true.

What do y’all think? Would y’all like to see another Guardians of the Galaxy film with a new team, or are y’all good with what James Gunn gave y’all with his trilogy? Let us know in the comments section below.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has been struggling as of late with it’s popularity but with Deadpool & Wolverine hoping to right the ship that’s been seemingly sinking over the past few years, the MCU is gearing up for a comeback starting in 2025.

One of the films that Marvel is hoping will appease their hardcore fanbase is the upcoming Thunderbolts which features an all-star cast including Harrison Ford, Florence Pugh, David Harbour and Sebastian Stan amongst others, and with production on the film underway, Pugh gave fans a sneak peak at what to expect. Taking to her Instagram page in her full Yelena Belova attire (a.k.a the new Black Widow), Pugh posted a video of herself onset and walked viewers through the set of the Jake Schreier directed film.

“Hey guys, how are you doing? I know I’ve dropped off for a little bit, but that’s partially because I was whisked off to Atlanta to shoot a movie that I’m not really supposed to talk about, but I can show you things, sneakily, as long as you don’t tell anyone…I can show you a sneak peek of the set. They’re shooting. I’ll be quiet now.”
Show fans some of the film’s sets and even the director at work, Pugh gave fans a little bit of hope that this film won’t be a complete bomb as recent MCU films have been.
Unfortunately she didn’t mention whether or not we’d be getting the Red Hulk (Harrison Ford) in Thunderbolts as is rumored, but if Marvel knows what’s good for them they will give fans the red monstrosity that they’ve been demanding since the film was announced.
Check out Florence Pugh’s video below and let us know if you’ll be checking for Marvel’s Thunderbolts when it premiers on May 2, 2025.

With much hype surrounding the eventual introduction of the X-Men into the now struggling Marvel Cinematic Universe and what role they’ll play in the forthcoming Avengers: Secret Wars film, many assumed that Patrick Stewart’s Professor X wouldn’t be a part of the MCU’s future due to his death in Doctor Strange 2.

Well, that may not be the case. During an interview with Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, Patrick Stewart spoke about Professor X’s fate in the Marvel Universe. He left everyone with a glimmer of hope that we’d once again see arguably the most powerful mutant in the world once again roll alongside the X-Men.

Though we’ve seen Professor X take a few fatalities over the decades in films such as X-Men: The Last Stand and more recently, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Patrick Stewart told Horowitz that he has “every confidence” in the notion that Professor X is “still around” somewhere in the MCU. In saying that alone, one has to figure that he’s had talks with Marvel Studios to reprise his role as Charles Xavier at some point in the future.
Continuing to talk about his cameo in Doctor Strange, Stewart also admitted that he found it to be “frustrating and disappointing” as the film was shot during the COVID pandemic and everything was filmed with everyone else’s safety in mind. “I was alone. I think that the big scene, each one of the leading actors had the same experience. They were shot on their own.”
Hopefully we’ll see Professor X alongside Wolverine, Spider-Man and other MCU stars alongside each other in a future project at some point. Lord knows the MCU can use that kind of boost to put butts in seats at the movie theaters like they used to in their heyday.
Check out Patrick Stewart talk about his experience on Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness below, and let us know if you’d like to see him as Professor X one more time (or more) in the comments section below.
