The flirty ranchera, released in November 2020 and penned by Nodal and Edgar Barrera, finds Nodal head over heels for Aguilar — who, in return, isn’t impressed by his kind gestures. After all, she’s not the type of girl who easily falls for a guy, she sings.

The song reached No. 1 on Billboard‘s Regional Mexican Airplay chart in Januar 2021, making a then-17-year-old Aguilar the youngest female act on a lead role to achieve the feat. She concurrently earned her first No. 1 on any Latin airplay chart while Nodal captured his 10th on Latin Airplay.

In addition to being part of the tour’s set list, the song is having its momentum four years after its release amid the viral news of Nodal and Aguilar’s romance.

“Now I find myself living a precious experience with a woman I love, with a love that took so many years for what is happening to happen and we are enjoying it, we are living the experience,” Nodal said of his new relationship with Aguilar, 20, just weeks after announcing his breakup with Argentine rapper, Cazzu.

Below, revisit the video and lyrics (translated to English) of “Dime Cómo Quieres.”

Everything began when I saw you pass byI felt something nice that I can’t explainYou caught me and I liked you moreOh, beautiful ranch girl, hi, how are you?

I’ll let you know from now onThat beautiful words are not enough For you to be able to conquer meI’m not one of those easy ones,Like those little girlsWith which I always see you with

And if I give you roses? (no matter what, they are going to wither)And if I serenade you? (no matter what, my dad will kick you to the curb)

Tell me how you want me to love youThis boy will become what you pleaseAsk away from what beautiful mouthFor you, I’ll do anything

Tell me what else you want me to sayIf my friends don’t like youAnd my family much lessWhat will people think if they see us one day?

Ay, ay, ayI’m not as bad as they say I amAy, ay, ayI’m not that dumb to let myself be fooled Ja, ja, ay, Angelita, don’t be so meanAnd you, don’t be so flirtatious

“Come one, come all, it’s happening again.” Taylor Swift‘s sad lyrics invade The Tortured Poets Department in a way that will have listeners down bad, crying in the gym (or wherever they are), right alongside the poet herself. Swift asks “Am I allowed to cry?” nine songs into the album. What does it say about […]

Taylor Swift has always been, first and foremost, a songwriter. But with a title like The Tortured Poets Department, the pop star’s new album calls even more attention to her lyricism than usual, inviting listeners to dissect, interpret and intellectualize each track just as a scholar might pore over the works of Walt Whitman or […]

The infectious reggaetón track — about going after an attractive girl — has been gaining traction on social media, where on TikTok alone, it has garnered more than three million video creations.

“I was performing some shows in another region of the country when I wrote this song,” FloyyMenor, who’s an 18-year-old rising act from La Serena, Chile, previously told Billboard. “I knew it was going to be a hit, and it feels amazing that people are supporting it.”

“Gata Only” marks the first time a Chilean artist enters the chart’s top 10 in 25 years, after La Ley and Ednita Nazario’s “Tu Sabes Bien” peaked at No. 8 in 1999. Prior, it was Myriam Hernández’s “Huele a Peligro,” which peaked at No. 5 in 1998.

Shakira and Cardi B are currently making the rounds with her collaboration “Puntería,” part of the former’s latest album, Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran.
The feel-good pop song with flirty lyrics finds the two artists singing about a man who’s not good for them, but his game is so strong, they’ve fallen for him.

“Puntería” (which translates to “aim”) was born after the two artists met at the Fendi show during Paris Fashion Week. In an interview with each other, during the music video shoot, they elaborated on their first collaborative effort.

“I wanted to do something with Cardi. We were always discussing internally if it was a good idea to put someone on this song. I always pictured Cardi in this song. I reached out, and here we are,” Shakira said. “It’s been so fun to work with you. It’s so easy, honestly. She’s like, ‘I’ll do everything.’ I’m like, ‘Are you ready to work long hours? Because I work long hours.’ She’s like, ‘I’ll be there from 6 to 6 a.m.’”

After admitting she manifested to work with Shak, Cardi B gushed: “I knew it. I knew this day would come. It came. God is good, Jesus. I don’t care if she wants me to meow — I’m doing it. I cannot wait. Seriously, that is my dream.”

While Beyoncé fans found out on Wednesday when the Cowboy Carter tracklist was unveiled that there would be a song called “Jolene” on the album, the finished product is not exactly a Dolly Parton cover.
In fact, Bey keeps the simple string-plucking production almost identical to Parton’s 1973 original on her new “Jolene,” but she’s updated almost all the lyrics to tell a brand-new story of the infamous other woman. We discover the lyrical changes almost immediately, when Beyoncé sings in the second line, “I’m warning you, don’t come for my man,” in place of Parton’s “I’m beggin’ of you, please don’t take my man.”

The biggest musical shift comes in Beyoncé’s new bridge, which has a melody that isn’t used in Dolly’s song and includes a choir of voices backing up Queen B. The bridge switches from the song’s minor key to an optimistic major as Beyoncé confidently sings: “I sleep good happy, ’cause you can’t dig up our planted seeds.”

Jolene, Jolene, Jolene, JoleneI’m warning you, woman, find you your own manJolene, I know I’m a queen, JoleneI’m still a Creole banjee bitch from Louisianne (don’t try me)

When Taylor Swift unveiled the tracklist to The Tortured Poets Department, shortly after announcing the album at the 2024 Grammys, one song title in particular captured fans’ attention: “Clara Bow.” Clearly named after the famous silent film actress, who passed away in 1965 at age 60, “Clara Bow” already has people asking questions — including […]

Kali Uchis‘ Orquídeas has blossomed hits such as “Igual Que Un Ángel” with Mexican star Peso Pluma, which debuted at No. 1 on Billboard‘s Hot Latin Songs chart (dated Jan. 27). Over a synth-pop beat, Uchis and Peso sing, in English and Spanish, about an angelic woman who is unattainable and deserves only the best after putting up with failed relationships.
“I wrote and recorded the song a while ago and was shocked and excited that Peso wanted to jump on that one in particular because I love encouraging artists to step out of their comfort zone when creating,” Uchis previously told Billboard about the collaboration.

Orquídeas, Uchis’ second Spanish-language album, scored the singer-songwriter her first No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Latin Albums as the new album debuts atop the list dated Jan. 27. It debuted at No. 2 on the all-genre Billboard 200, and spawned 12 debuts on the Hot Latin Songs chart, including the No. 1 “Igual Que Un Ángel.”

Below, Billboard translates the Spanish lyrics of “Igual Que Un Ángel” into English:

Uh, uh, uhOh, oh, oh, oh

You should’ve seen the way she looked, just like an angelHeaven’s her residence and she won’t fall They just can’t reach her, unattainable princessThey broke her heart, but she never lost it, oh

Everyone wants money, others want fameA superficial love (Ah-ah, ah)But she wants peace, not to harm her soul (Ah-ah, ah)Never forgets what is real

A heart like yours is in extinctionHeaven must have sent you, loveA heart like yours is in extinctionHeaven must have sent you, loveGod’s favorite, God’s favorite, and it showsSent from heaven down to earthGod’s favorite, God’s favorite, and she knowsSent from heaven down to earth

They have already sworn love and failed herDry eyes from all that they criedBut she doesn’t give up, she smiles even if it hurtsBecause there are no people like her left (Oh-oh, oh, oh)

Uh, with that attitude no one deserves her Those that want her should prayBut she is light, ay, unlike anyoneShe’s not within your reach, the girl is an angel, ah-ah, ah, ah

(And she knows, and she knows)(God’s favorite)(God’s favorite and she knows)(God’s favorite)

Noah Kahan welcomed fans to the world of Stick Season with his breakout album’s title track, which climbed 18-14 on the Billboard Hot 100 dated Jan. 20, 2024, resulting in a new peak for the set’s lead single, which was originally released back in August 2022.

The singer-songwriter notched his first Grammy nomination this year, as he’s up for best new artist at the 2024 ceremony.

If you need a guide to follow along with Noah Kahan’s “Stick Season,” find the lyrics below:As you promised me that I was more than all the miles combinedYou must have had yourself a change of heart, like halfway through the driveBecause your voice trailed off exactly as you passed my exit signKept on driving straight and left our future to the rightNow I am stuck between my anger and the blame that I can’t faceMemories are somethin’ even smoking weed does not replaceAnd I am terrified of weather ’cause I see you when it rainsDoc told me to travel, but there’s COVID on the planes
And I love Vermont, but it’s the season of the sticksAnd I saw your mom, she forgot that I existedAnd it’s half my fault but I just like to play the victimI’ll drink alcohol ’til my friends come home for ChristmasAnd I’ll dream each night of some version of youThat I might not have but I did not loseNow you’re tire tracks and one pair of shoesAnd I’m split in half, but that’ll have to do
So I thought that if I piled something good on all my badThat I could cancel out the darkness I inherited from dadNo, I am no longer funny ’cause I miss the way you laughYou once called me forever, now you still can’t call me back
And I love Vermont, but it’s the season of the sticksAnd I saw your mom, she forgot that I existedAnd it’s half my fault but I just like to play the victimI’ll drink alcohol ’til my friends come home for ChristmasAnd I’ll dream each night of some version of youThat I might not have but I did not loseNow you’re tire tracks and one pair of shoesAnd I’m split in half, but that’ll have to do
Oh, that’ll have to doMy other half was youI hope this pain’s just passin’ throughBut I doubt it
And I love Vermont, but it’s the season of the sticksAnd I saw your mom, she forgot that I existedAnd it’s half my fault but I just like to play the victimI’ll drink alcohol ’til my friends come home for ChristmasAnd I’ll dream each night of some version of youThat I might not have but I did not loseNow you’re tire tracks and one pair of shoesAnd I’m split in half, but that’ll have to doHave to do
