There’s nothing better than ringing in the new year with a kiss — just ask Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce! The music-football power couple enjoyed a sweet smooch in a fan-shared X post on Monday (Jan. 1).

The second-long clip shows Swift cradling Kelce’s face in her hands as the Kansas City Chiefs tight end leans in for a kiss. The scene appears to be a New Year’s Eve party, with the “Cruel Summer” singer sporting an updo and a sparkly dress, while Kelce wears an all-black outfit.

Earlier on New Year’s Eve, the “Anti-Hero” singer cheered on her boyfriend as the Chiefs took on the Cincinnati Bengals at Arrowhead Stadium. She also supported Kelce at his Christmas Day game against the Las Vegas Raiders.

The couple’s New Year’s kiss brings their whirlwind 2023 to a close — a year that saw both record-breaking success for Swift and the birth of a romance that has captivated the world.

Swift and Kelce have come a long way since the football player first attended her Kansas City Eras Tour stop last summer. In her December TIME Person of the Year profile, Swift revealed how their romance began, saying, “By the time I went to that first game, we were a couple. I think some people think that they saw our first date at that game? We would never be psychotic enough to hard launch a first date.”

As Kelce spends the next month helping his team fight for a spot in the Super Bowl, Swift will be prepping for the grand return of her Eras Tour. She’s set to play four consecutive nights at the Tokyo Dome in Japan from Feb. 7 to 10. Those four shows preview an entire calendar year of touring for the Grammy-winning singer; the 2024 Eras Tour shows will visit Australia, Europe and North America, and feature opening acts such as Sabrina Carpenter, Paramore and Gracie Abrams.

In 2023, Taylor Swift reigned as Billboard’s No. 1 artist of the year. Her Midnights (No. 2) and Lover (No. 9) albums both ranked among the ten biggest Billboard 200 albums of 2023, while her “Anti-Hero” ranked as the No. 4 biggest Hot 100 song of that year.

Sophie Turner had the support of her girlfriends amid her split from husband Joe Jonas in 2023, and now she’s reflecting on that time in an Instagram post.

“2023 was the year of the girlies,” she reflected in the Jan. 2 carousel of snaps with her pals. She also made a prediction for the new year: “2024s forecast is looking fairly consistent.”

Among the snaps was a group photo that included Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter at the Oct. 1 New York Jets vs. Kansas City Chiefs game at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey. The squad had joined Swift — who briefly dated Jonas in 2008 — in cheering on her new love, Chiefs’ tight end Travis Kelce. (Hugh Jackman, Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds and more were also spotted with the “Anti-Hero” singer at the game.)

Other photos show the former Game of Thrones star enjoying some quality girl time with her friends over meals, relaxing and goofing off in lush fields, showing off new tattoos and a video clip of fun times on the ski slopes.

Since her split from Jonas, Turner has been spotted out multiple times with Swift. Among the girls’ nights out was a weekend in early November, when the actress was out in Manhattan with the 12-time Grammy winner, Selena Gomez and Brittany Mahomes, who is married to Chiefs’ quarterback Patrick Mahomes. Turner and Swift also spent time together in New York City in mid September, shortly after news of the actress’ split from the musician broke.

Jonas filed for divorce on Sept. 5 after four years of marriage, stating in his petition that “the marriage between the parties is irretrievably broken.” The two share two young daughters.

The former couple shared a joint statement on their social media accounts the day after the Jonas Brothers singer filed to split. “We have mutually decided to amicably end our marriage,” their statement began. “There are many speculative narratives as to why but, truly this is a united decision and we sincerely hope that everyone can respect our wishes for privacy for us and our children.”

Kourtney Kardashian and Travis Barker have gifted fans with the first look at their baby boy just ahead of Christmas. The couple, who welcomed baby Rocky around Halloween, shared a series of family photos featuring the little one on their Instagram accounts on Friday (Dec. 22).

“ROCKY [black heart emoji],” the proud parents captioned their shared post. The sweet carousel of photos shows the couple and baby Rocky — who is the couple’s first together — all dressed in black. In one snap, the photo is a closeup of Rocky’s tiny feet while held by the Blink-182 drummer, a lit Christmas tree in the background. In another, The Kardashians star is breastfeeding, while a third is in black and white, and has the rocker kisses his newborn’s face.

Kardashian is also mom to daughter Penelope and sons Mason and Reign with former partner Scott Disick. Barker is dad to daughter Alabama and son Landon, as well as stepdaughter Atiana with ex-wife Shanna Moakler. The reality star announced her pregnancy in June at a Blink-182 concert by holding up a sign that read “Travis I’m Pregnant,” a nod to a scene from the band’s “All the Small Things” music video.

The Poosh founder documented her pregnancy on Instagram, but revealed in September that she had to have urgent fetal surgery. “As someone who has had three really easy pregnancies in the past, I wasn’t prepared for the fear of rushing into urgent fetal surgery,” she shared on social media at the time. “I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear. “

Shortly before baby Rocky’s arrival, Barker revealed in an interview that the couple had already selected the name Rocky Thirteen Barker for their baby boy. “I was like, ‘He’s going to come out of my wife’s vagina doing front kicks and push-ups,’” he joked at the time on the One Life One Chance podcast, and also revealed that the reality TV personality was due on Halloween or “the first week of November.”

Selena Gomez has a checklist when it comes to boyfriends. And given that the singer-actress recently confirmed she’s been dating Benny Blanco for about six months, it’s probably safe to say that the producer ticks all her boxes. 

Speaking to Vogue México y Latinoamérica in a Spanish language interview translated into English, the “Calm Down” singer shared that she prioritizes a “special connection” with a partner that “allows for self-respect and holds space for the feelings of others.” “Honestly, I have to start being attracted to the right kind of people, because it’s a bit of both,” she continued.  

“It’s very hard to find someone who can listen to you and care about you, but I know when it happens it will be great and you will want it to be healthy,” she added. 

The Thursday (Dec. 21) cover story comes a couple weeks after the Only Murders in the Building actress revealed in a series of Instagram comments that she and Blanco are dating, telling one fan that he is “my absolute everything in my heart.”  

“Not mad,” she added at the time, replying to a commenter who claimed Gomez couldn’t “handle the hate” surrounding her new relationship. “It’s been 6 months bb. I will always defend my friends family and fans till the day I die.” 

Since then, the 2024 Golden Globe nominee has posted a handful of photos with her beau, including one of them sharing a passionate kiss. She’s also showed off her letter “B” ring on social media, presumably in tribute to Blanco. 

Before they were boyfriend and girlfriend, Blanco and Gomez were collaborators. The hitmaking song engineer and former Disney Channel star worked together on Gomez’s most recent track, “Single Soon,” as well as on Blanco’s “I Can’t Get Enough” alongside Tainy and J Balvin in 2019. 

The craze surrounding “Bennifer” back in the day has left both Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck a little worse for wear, the Marry Me star says.

In a Wednesday (Dec. 20) interview with Variety, Lopez revealed that the public intrigue into her early romance with her now husband back in the 2000s still affects them to this day. “We both have PTSD,” she told the publication.

“But we’re older now,” she added. “We’re wiser. We also know what’s important, what’s really important in life, and it’s not so much what other people think. It’s about being true to who you are.”

The star’s comments come ahead of her long-awaited album This Is Me…Now, which drops Feb. 16 along with her film of the same name. Lopez told Variety that the film will document her relationship with Affleck, noting, “You have to see it and you’ll have to experience it to understand it. That’s why I call it a ‘musical experience.’ Because there’s music, you can see it, you can hear it and then you’ll get to live it.”

After first meeting on the set of their film Gigli, Lopez and the actor got engaged in 2002 before calling off their wedding in early 2004. Many years later, after both parties got married, had kids with other people and divorced, the two rekindled their romance in 2021 and tied the knot in 2022.

“As artists, we have to follow our heart and this is me following my heart and doing something that maybe everybody didn’t think was the best idea,” Lopez said of her upcoming releases. “But I had to do it.”
