Nick Cannon is hosting an event in Las Vegas on Thursday night (December 7) with sponsorship from Cannon’s company and The Zeus Network. Fans on X are roasting Nick Cannon after a flier for the Bad Vs. Wild Las Vegas event featured text framing the face-off as a battle of dark-skinned and light-skinned women.
Back in October, a trailer for the Bad Vs. Wild Las Vegas event was unveiled, which appears to be styled like a baddies version of Cannon’s popular Wild ‘n Out series. Based on the description in the trailer, which we’ll share below, this is a new series that will film its first season live in Las Vegas and tonight’s taping will also feature Sukihana as a musical guest.

X user @KMZWRLD shared a tweet featuring the flier in question, which has since been quoted and retweeted several times so far. It isn’t clear where the flier originally came from and we’re still trying to locate the source.

Based on our research, it doesn’t appear that Cannon nor The Zeus Network has billed this show as a “dark-skin vs. light-skin” but a flier featuring that text on the front is making its rounds on social media and fans are ticked off. The link on the flier to join the studio audience also appears to work but is different from the link that Zeus is promoting on its pages, which isn’t operational.

As we saw on Zeus’ Instagram page, the Bad Vs. Wild taping has been happening all week with French Montana and GloRilla performing in earlier events. Again, we’re still not seeing anything featuring the colorism battle working from any of the main players involved so we are not claiming that the flier in question is an official release.
Check out the reactions from X below.

Legendary R&B group, New Edition, is set to be the next big thing on stage in Sin City.
The sextet announced Monday (Nov. 6), that New Edition: Las Vegas will kick off February 28 for at least six shows. “We just caught lightning in a bottle,” said Ronnie DeVoe, according to USA Today. All six members will perform at the Wynn Las Vegas Encore Theater, where acts like Diana Ross, Lionel Richie and more have taken the stage.

The announcement came days after the group performed a tribute to the Spinners at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in New York City.

“We’re looking to touch that stage and continue on with the legacy,” DeVoe added.
“This is going to be more theatrical than our Legacy and Culture tours,” Bobby Brown said. “This will be a lot more intimate. We wanted it to be up, close and personal for our fans.”
The theater sits nearly 1,500 fans, who will enjoy their many classic hits.
Vegas has been a destination for R&B audiences with Usher soon to wrap up his successful residency before performing at the Super Bowl.
The group says that now is a great time for them to have their residency. “We have each other, we have our health, we have our families. Everybody’s still here,” Ricky Bell said.
New Edition also says that the residency is a good time for new music. “It makes sense,” DeVoe said. “I think it’ll be a great time to get in the studio and put our vocals on something new and fresh, so we can deliver that to our fans in anticipation of their residency.”
The group hasn’t released new music since One Love nearly 20 years ago.
“Our audience got a chance to see growth, bond, brotherhood,” Bell said of their recent tours. “Sometimes that’s bigger than any record because people come to look for separation. But I think we’ll give them the glue.”

Just a week after making her first public appearance in more than three years amidst a battle with Stiff-Person Syndrome, Celine Dion ventured out again on Saturday night to take in the final date of Katy Perry‘s Las Vegas residency.
Dion was in the audience at the Resorts World Theatre amid a group of other A-listers on hand to help Perry salute the end of her two-year Play residency, including Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Cameron Diaz and husband Benji Madden and Zoe Saldana, among others. In fact, among those others was none other than Perry’s three-year-old daughter, Daisy Dove, who made her first public appearance during an on-screen segment of Saturday’s show.

Perry appeared to shout out Dion, 57, at one point, saying, “Katy Perry if you’re wondering. I’m not Celine Dion. That show is coming up next!” The appearance was notable because Dion has been out of the public eye since her diagnosis three years ago. She made her first public appearance in years at an NHL game at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas a week ago to see a game between her hometown team, the Montreal Canadiens, and the Las Vegas Golden Knights, joined by her three sons.

Dion revealed her Stiff-Person Syndrome diagnosis in December 2022, sharing that she was suffering from the rare condition marked by uncontrolled and severe spasms, which she said has sometimes caused difficulties walking and using her vocal cords appropriately. The condition caused Dion to push back or cancel all her 2023 tour dates to 2024.

According to People, just before Perry sang her 2008 hit “Hot n Cold,” she took a break to acknowledge the child she welcomed in 2020 with fiancé actor Orlando Bloom. “Daisy! I love you so much,” Perry said in video posted by fans on X (formerly known as Twitter) in which the adorable tot — wearing a red and white polka dot Minnie Mouse-style dress and pink headphones — waved to her mom from the crowd. “You’re my best friend, I’m so glad you’re here.”

Perry also shouted out her partner, Bloom, praising the actor for being an “incredible support system” and “amazing father,” while also praising Daisy Dove for helping to inspire the long-running show. “I created this show after the birth of my daughter, Daisy Dove,” she said. “When I met her, it was like all the love I was ever searching for finally showed up. She made me whole, and she healed me, and she showed me how to play again. So this show is for everyone’s inner child and for the hope that maybe if we could all see life through the eyes of a child, we would be free.”

The stars aligned at Las Vegas’ Sphere on Wednesday night (Oct. 25), as Lady Gaga joined U2 on stage for what turned out to be a mini set.
Dressed in a dark leather jacket, black tights and shades, Mother Monster was introduced to stage by Bono as “the most audacious, vivacious woman in any room she’s ever in,” Variety reports.

Sphere is no ordinary room. It’s a $2.3 billion, next-generation entertainment medium, with floor-to-ceiling graphics, thanks to nearly-580,000 square feet of fully programmable LED paneling — the largest screen of its type in the world. The images that have filtered back from U2’s residency are nothing short of mindbending.

Gaga came to play, and she dueted on “Shallow,” her Oscar-winning, Billboard Hot 100-leading number from A Star is Born, braced by two U2 classics, Rattle and Hum track “All I Want Is You” and the Joshua Tree hit “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For.”

It’s not the first time Gaga and U2 have come together to make sweet music.

Back in 2015, Gaga joined U2 at Madison Square Garden for a rendition of “Ordinary Love,” the rock band’s contribution to the soundtrack for the 2013 Nelson Mandela biopic Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom. On that occasion, the pop singer dueted with Bono and played piano.

Gaga is making something of a habit of teaming up with legendary rock bands from the British Isles. Last week, Gaga took the mic during the encore of the Rolling Stones’ intimate show at New York City’s the Racket, for a performance of “Sweet Sounds of Heaven,” the collaborative track lifted from the British band’s 26th album released in America, Hackney Diamonds. With a little help from Gaga, Hackney Diamonds led the midweek U.K. albums chart by a country mile, by outselling the rest of the top 10 combined.

Jennifer Lopez took over the Las Vegas strip over the weekend, and the “Waiting for Tonight” singer shared highlights from the concerts she attended on Instagram. The superstar attended Usher’s My Way residency first, and in the clip posted to social media on Monday (Oct. 23), she’s seen dancing to his 2004 hit, “Burn.” The […]

Adele is extending her Las Vegas residency one final time. The 16-time Grammy winner announced on Friday (Oct. 20) that she’ll be performing her Weekends With Adele show into mid 2024 at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. “Let’s go one last time before I turn into a showgirl forever!” the singer-songwriter tweeted on Friday. It was all handshakes and hugs at London’s The TwentyTwo Hotel that sealed the deal on Post Malone opening Fontainebleau Las Vegas‘ BleauLive Theater on Dec. 30 and 31.
Fontainebleau Development president Brett Mufson and creative director Peter Arnell were on a design trip to London for the new $3.7 billion resort when they had a chance encounter with Malone and his manager Electric Feel CEO Austin Rosen.

“We had been talking about getting with Post because Rosen is family to us,” Mufson says. [Rosen’s father Andrew is friends with Fontainebleau CEO Jeff Soffer.] “It was serendipitous. We were staying at The TwentyTwo and [Rosen] called and said he was there as well. ‘Where are you?’ ‘Downstairs? Rosen said ‘come to the back room’ and he was sitting there with Post.”

“I asked, ‘Are we going to do this deal or what?’ And we shook hands,” Mufson says. “Austin, Peter and I cut the deal and Post [who went outside to smoke] came back in and we all hugged.”

Malone will perform two consecutive history-making nights at the resort’s 3,800-seat BleauLive Theater — its debut on-sale event. This booking transports the 70-year-old icon’s long entertainment legacy from Miami Beach to the Las Vegas Strip. Over the years, the original location has hosted everyone from the Rat Pack and Elvis to Usher, Mariah Carey and Bad Bunny.

“New Year’s Eve is iconic in this city and I’m excited to ring in 2024 as the first headliner at Fontainebleau Las Vegas,” says Malone, whose fifth album Austin debuted in August at No. 1 on the Top Rock & Alternative Albums chart. In June, the 10-time GRAMMY nominee received the Songwriters Hall of Fame “Hal Davis Starlight Award.”

“The brand is rooted in nostalgia around our entertainment history. But how do we look at that with a contemporary point of view?” Mufson says. “Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr. — who are those performers of this era? Post is one of them; he’s a modern-day music genius.”

Don’t expect big-name multi-year residencies at BleauLive like its neighbor Resorts World (with Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Carrie Underwood). “We will do two to six shows or two to eight shows,” Mufson says of the limited-engagement strategy. “That’s the right thing to dip our toe in.” He shares they are close to signing more than a half-dozen acts that will be announced soon.

Fedor Banuchi, Fontainebleau senior vp of entertainment and special events, characterizes the talent lineup as “genre agnostic” running the gamut from country and latin to pop, comedy and legends.

Located on the second-floor above the casino, the 90,000 square-foot three-level multipurpose BleauLive serves as the entertainment hub of the new resort, hosting concerts and fights on the weekends, and meetings and car shows midweek. The Live Nation-backed theater has a capacity of 3,800 with a GA floor. VIP sections have lounge seating with couches and bottle service. Top tiers can be closed to shrink capacity to 1,500. The stage is festival size, featuring a 65′ x 18′ center video wall, dual 16′ x 9′ side walls and Elation Lighting.

“Live Nation helped us significantly on the design of the theater to be able to differentiate ourselves from our competitors,” Mufson says. Live Nation also owns 51 percent of David Grutman‘s Groot Hospitality, which will open Liv Nightclub and Beach as well as Papi Steak and Komodo restaurants at the new casino.

He adds, “Audiences want a hyper personalized experience…. [with] storytelling. They want to hear why the artist wrote the song, where they were in their lives. I think our room sets up for that very nicely.”

Fontainebleau Las Vegas

BleauLive is the first theater to showcase a permanent install of the Meyer Panther sound system, which Metallica and Ed Sheeran debuted on their 2023 tours.

In a town filled with the world’s top-grossing stadium and theaters in every size, it’s all about the shiny new toy.

“Las Vegas is probably the most competitive market in the world for talent,” Banuchi says. “This theater will represent the newest, best place for an artist who wants to be associated with a luxury brand. Post is an arena — borderline stadium act — and in this size venue he will bring exactly the energy we want.”

“It’s not the biggest theater in town but it will definitely have a great live experience,” Soffer adds. “Entertainment drives people to the resort. It’s the environment we build  — it has a meaning and a purpose.”

Its closest neighbors are the AEG Presents’ Encore Theater at Wynn and Resorts World Theatre. The nearest Live Nation theaters are at Venetian and Sphere, which Soffer thinks “is great for the city and brings more people in to see acts in a unique environment. It’s an advantage for all of us.”

Ahead of New Year’s Eve, the 3,644-room Fontainebleau will finally open on Dec. 13 with a star-studded party, invite-only production by Colin Cowie. It’s quite the coming out celebration for the 67-story building, which took nearly two decades to complete. Soffer acquired the land on which the tallest occupiable structure in the state of Nevada sits in 2000, broke ground in 2007 and topped off in 2008. The following year, banks collapsed, funding dried up, lawsuits were filed and construction stopped for 12 years as the Fontainebleau stood 70 percent complete. Several owners came and went before Soffer and Fontainebleau Development, in partnership with Koch Real Estate Investments, reacquired the property in 2021.

Tickets for Malone’s show go on sale Oct. 20 at 10 a.m. and start at $150. A New Year’s Eve package, starting at $4,500, includes a two-night stay in a room or suite, a pair of first-row tickets to Post’s show at BleauLive Theater on either night, in addition to a $250 food and beverage credit.

Pop superstar Kylie Minogue says she made a “conscious decision to go for it” in terms of promoting her new album Tension – and indeed she has. Since mid-May, she’s been hard at work across the globe to tell the tale of Tension.

“The entire team’s been working really hard,” she tells the Billboard Pop Shop Podcast (listen to her full interview, below). “I feel so grateful for this moment and so excited for the music and what is unfolding — people’s experience with the music and how they’re making it their own and really welcoming it into their lives, that how could I not give extra? I mean it’s kind of my default anyways.”

All that hard work paid off too. Tension debuted at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart, scored her biggest sales week in the U.S. in early 20 years, and opened at No. 1 in the U.K. and in Australia.

Now that she’s broken the Tension, next up for Minogue is the launch of her residency at the Voltaire Belle de Nuit at the Venetian Resort in Las Vegas, which begins on Nov. 3. The intimate club, which will hold only 1,000 guests at each show, promises to offer a unique experience with Minogue, which the Voltaire advertises as “more than just a residency.”

Minogue says her performance within the club will feature a “selection of songs from throughout the years” and that the show, and its setlist, could evolve over time, since she has 20 shows currently scheduled “over a number of months,” on through next May.

Guests attending an evening at the Voltaire during Minogue’s residency will see their evening start around 9:30 p.m., while Minogue will take the stage a little after 11. “It’s late night,” she says. Will her Voltaire performance differ from a traditional touring show from Minogue? “It will be different to a normal concert,” she says. “My show’s normally two [hours], two [hours] and 15 [minutes long] … so it’s gonna be more snug [than a regular show]. I think it’s gonna feel, because we’re so close [she and the audience] … to be revealed. I mean, I haven’t done this kind of show before. But I think being that close and that intimate in that environment, I think it’s gonna feel kind of more than what it might appear on paper.”

Will her Voltaire residency preclude Minogue from going out on the road with her own tour? No! Does she have a desire to head back out for her own traveling show? Yes!

“I see [the Voltaire engagement] as a very specific show and experience, enhanced by and limited by its surrounds. It is a performance within the Voltaire club. And, to be this involved at the inception of this club — which will hopefully be there for many, many years with lots of different artists performing there — I do feel especially attached to it because I’ve known about it since its inception and I’m part of the opening. But, my tour? That would be different again. And a very different sensation for me and for the audience. So yeah, I would love to go on tour again, absolutely.”

Also in our chat with Minogue, the pop princess reveals how she “would love to be back in the studio” working on new music after the inspiring time she had making the Tension album. “I feel like we’ve just kind of tapped into something that I’d love to explore more.”
