The adidas/Yeezy quagmire has finally found a solution. The three-stripe brand has finally decided it will sell it’s $1.3 billion worth of Yeezy apparel that it recalled after Yeezus went on an antisemitic crusade a few months back.

According to Hypebeast, adidas and Kanye West have come to an agreement to sell all the sneakers and apparel that adidas recalled from the shelves of sneaker stores across the board. And to avoid any kind of backlash from the decision, adidas will donate all the money they get to charity. Kanye, meanwhile will keep the 15% commission he’s entitled from every sale made from the Yeezy line (of course he will).

After months of speculation of what adidas would do with the remaining pairs of Yeezy sneakers it had in storage, rumors had began swirling that they’d do everything from give them away to incinerate them, to quietly move them on resale websites to make their money back and then some. But now we’ve finally gotten a concrete answer. They’ll just basically sell them for charity.
Hypebeast reports:
At the time of writing, it’s still unclear how much stock will be released to the market, what exact models and colorways will be launched and how it will drop (CONFRIMED App, online stores or wholesale retailers) as well as how much of the proceeds will be donated. “What we are trying to do now over time is to sell some of this merchandise…burning the goods would not be a solution,” Bjørn Gulden, CEO of adidas commented. The sportswear imprint pondered about donating all of the sneakers but felt that it would lead to them reaching the market in a volatile way.
It’s still going to reach the secondary market either way, but the question is what kind of resale value Yeezy’s will carry given the nature of Kanye West’s “canceling” in pop culture. After Kanye West’s deal with adidas was voided a few months ago, many expected resale prices for his Yeezy line to skyrocket, as they weren’t going to be sold or produced anymore. They didn’t. They experienced a slight bump in resale value but nothing remotely close to say a pair of Travis Scott x Air Jordan 1’s.
Now that we’ll be getting whatever stock is left, who knows if resale prices will rise or plummet in the wake of the new selloff.  Either way, some charity out there will be more than glad to accept whatever monetary donation they get from adidas. And we can’t be mad at that.

What do y’all think of adidas deciding to sell their Yeezy stock and giving a portion to charity? Let us know in the comments section below.

Earlier this week Kanye West made political headlines when it was reported that he had re-hired notorious far-right white nationalist, Milo Yiannopolos to be his campaign manager, but now it seems like he’s also in bed with another loathed political figure who hails from the darkest corners of MAGA land.

According to The Daily Beast, Marjorie Taylor Greene is apparently supporting Kanye West’s political ambitions as her credit card is being linked to a transaction between Milo Yiannopoulos and Kanye West. This past November, Yiannopoulos used Greene’s campaign credit card to buy an internet domain for West’s still unannounced Presidential run for which he was reimbursed by the West campaign the same exact day at almost $3,000 above what he spent.

Locking down “ye24.com” before Kanye has officially announced his 2024 Presidential bid, it seems like some laws might’ve been broken by Milos and company in the name of Yeezus.
The Daily Beast reports:
The receipts match Federal Election Commission filings from both campaigns. Those filings show that on Nov. 22, the Greene campaign reported a $7,020.16 expense to the GoDaddy hosting service for “domain registration and hosting.” That same day, the Kanye 2020 committee reported paying Yiannopoulos $9,955 for “domain transfer.”
Legal experts told The Daily Beast that the transactions raise a number of questions, including about possible theft and conversion of campaign funds to personal use.
While Milos (who used to intern for Marjorie Taylor Greene) used MTG’s campaign credit card to help Kanye’s White House aspirations, it’s unclear if Greene was aware of the transaction or even if Milos had access to the funds. Should it turn out that Greene gave her blessings to Milo for the transaction, that could turn out to be “an excessive and unreported in-kind contribution to his campaign.” On the other hand, if she didn’t know what was going on, Milos “may have committed a range of serious violations—including, potentially, causing Greene’s campaign to file false reports with the government.”
Either way, we hope they all get their comeuppance for what they’ve inflicted on this country and society in general with their idiocy, racism, and divisiveness. Yes, that includes Kanye as well.
Yiannopoulos for his part is claiming the entire situation was an error made by a low-level staffer saying, “The truth is a junior staffer made an error with the stored credit cards on a third-party vendor GoDaddy account, picking the one ending 2032 instead of 2002,” the statement said. “The accident was quickly rectified and the correct card charged. I have apologized privately to Marjorie for the mixup.”
Asked on Monday when the payment had been “rectified,” Yiannopoulos would only tell The Daily Beast that “I can tell you that it has been refunded.” If he had refunded the money before March 31, however, that transaction would appear to have gone unreported in the campaign’s FEC filings.

Regardless the whole thing looks hella suspect especially given that Greene is rumored to be trying to establish herself as Donald Trump’s running mate for the 2024 Presidential election. Why would she want to help Kanye West become his competition come next year? The entire situation is as weird as it can get, but then again everything that goes on in MAGA land seems weird and out of touch with reality. Just sayin.’
Either way we feel like someone’s getting thrown under the bus and if we’ve learned anything from Trump world it’s that they’re quick to shift blame to their closes confidants if that means avoiding fines, prison, or public/political humiliation.

One scene from the Kanye West Netflix documentary jeen yuhs is straight C A P, according to one person with direct knowledge of the moment.

According to Wayne’ Wayno” Clark, there are several moments in the jeen yuhs: A Kanye Trilogy that was not accurate.

The scene Clark touches on involves West housing Roc-A-Fella employees at the office by playing “All Falls Down” to several execs, and he notes they heard it several times before.
“It was not like that, bro, because first of all, when I came around — I’m talking about being really, really, inside of Roc-A-Fella — Kanye was already producing. When I had met him, he had just got a tattoo of all the songs he produced on his arm,” Wayno said during a recent Homegrown Radio interview.
“I walked up to him like, ‘Yo you Kanye?’ and he like, ‘Yeah, I rap too.’ He rapped for me, and he just rapped for, like, eight minutes. He would do the same routine for everyone he met,” he added.
“Now, Chaka Pilgrim was the head of marketing at Roc-A-Fella. To this day, she still work with Jay, Beyoncé, all of them. He bust in her office with all the cameras out, he ain’t tell nobody he about to do this or nothing. Bro, mind you, it’s not the first time we heard ‘All Falls Down.’ We been heard ‘All Falls Down.’ He walks out like, ‘Yeah they ain’t feeling me.’ That’s not real.”

This Is Not The First Time Wayno Spoke About That Moment
Just a month after the docuseries’ release, Wayno spoke about the moment on Twitter. “Lmao the context behind this is he played this song in the office and did this with a camera crew like 10x , how many times can you have a crazy reaction to something you’ve heard 10x it was kind of annoying at that point,” he said in a tweet.
In more jeen yuhs news, the woman who made a brief appearance in the visual for “Through The Wire” is suing filmmakers Coodie Simmons and Chike Oza for featuring her in the doc in what she says was an “altered state and not capable of providing consent.”

Kanye West has another unpaid tab to pay. A court has ordered him and his YEEZY brand to pay a freelancer 300K in unpaid wages.

As spotted on Hype Beast  New York based creative got a favorable ruling earlier this week regarding her ongoing claim that the rapper’s label has failed to properly pay her. Back in December 2022 Katelyn Mooney filed a lawsuit against Kanye West and YEEZY claiming that she was informally contract to curate a product shoot for SHDZ sunglasses line. She says she was promised $110,000 for the job but was only paid $15,000 of that. While she did not have a binding contract in place she was able to provide text messages with YEEZY employees to back her allegations.

Needless to say she was never paid the balance of the monies she was offered to which she says she was forced to “max out her credit cards” and take out loans to meet her personal financial commitments including her monthly rent. On Monday a judge made a default ruling since no one from YEEZY ever responded to the court documents or showed up to court to counter her claims. Kanye West has yet to formally respond to the allegations of nonpayment.

CLOSE

Kanye West AKA Ye is slowly coming back around on the heels of an appearance at a recent Fear Of God runway show and a pop-up of his YEEZY SEASON 10 event. Fans are also noting that Kanye West is sporting a new look in the form of some booty-hugging leggings that are tighter than a turn off a highway exit.
Kanye West, 45, was spotted earlier this week on the West Coast in all-Black leggings and a new shoe design that appears to be socks. According to the chatter on the digital streets, the sock-shoe combo is a new creation Ye is hoping to get pushed.
Adding to this, West just opened a YEEZY office on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles next door to an adidas store. Could be an epic troll move, who knows? At this rate, the new YEEZY SEASON 10 drop didn’t bring about the usual excitement that West is known for regarding fashion trends.
Of Ye’s new look, the top half of what we’ve seen in photos trends towards the baggy, slouched look of the 1990s and early 2000s, but the pants are of extreme contrast in fit. It could be part of Ye’s push for out-the-box designs in fashion or, he just doesn’t care anymore. It could go either way with Kanye West.
On Twitter, reactions to Ye in those skin-tight family jewel huggers are cropping up and we’ve got the best of the bunch below.

Kanye West and YEEZY continue to take Ls.
A New York court ordered Ye and his company, YEEZY, to fork over $300,000 to a Brooklyn-based freelancer who was the creative director for those ugly-ass sunglasses.

The plaintiff, Katelyn Mooney, slapped West and his fledgling brand with a $300,000 lawsuit in December 2022 for unpaid invoices and other damages, claiming the brand hired her to shoot the SHDZ sunglasses line.

Mooney claims the agreed-upon number was $110,000 for her work but only got $15,000. Per Hypebeast, there was no contract, but everything was discussed via text messages with a YEEZY employee, and she has receipts in the form of invoices.
In her lawsuit, Mooney claims that she had to “max out her credit cards” and take out loans to pay her rent and cover unpaid bills from the shoot.
Kanye West and YEEZY are responsible for Mooney’s financial troubles after defaulting because they did not show up to court and failed to respond to court documents.
So where was Ye? Maybe he was too busy planning his struggle secret fashion show unveiling YEEZY or YZY Season 10 clothes and a new “sock-sneaker,” which will probably never see the light of day.
Or, he is busy getting ready to run for President again, as reports claim he is teaming up with far-right clown Milo Yiannopoulos again.
Who knows? Who cares? We just want this man to chill with his secret wife and get help.
But, unfortunately, it feels like some form of “YEEZY season” is coming, whether you want it to happen or not.

Kanye West might be on the outs with the fashion industry due to his antisemitic rants and social media posts, but if y’all thought that would keep him away from the game, y’all don’t know the “Black Skinhead” rapper.

Highsnobiety is reporting that this past Monday (May 1), Kanye West held a secret fashion show for his YEEZY Season 10 line where he used a gang of models with shaved heads (of course) to rock his latest collection which consisted of tight tee-shirts and pants that would’ve made Derek Vinyard proud (American History X reference).

YEEZY SEASON 10’s set was sparse. It was held in a rugged-looking store in West Hollywood, with little of note aside from barren industrial walls, rows of lightly-dressed models holding candles, and a sound system.
Ye’s YEEZY SEASON 10 invite, posted by the typical Ye stan pages (Ye’s preferred form of communication these days), didn’t actually mention YEEZY SEASON 10 by name, simply stating YZY FREE as the event’s title.
Interestingly enough the event was held not too far from Adidas flagship store on Melrose as well. Could Kanye West be trying to troll Adidas for giving him the pink-slip or was it just a “happy” coincidence?
Regardless of whether or not Kanye is still holding a grudge against Adidas for making the logical choice of cutting ties with him after threatening to go “death con 3” on the Jewish community, it seems like he’s not giving up his designer dreams and will continue to produce attire that you’ll rarely see out in the wild on anyone in their right mind (no shots).
As for the people in attendance, everyone walked away with a free t-shirt that looks like it wouldn’t survive a single wash cycle. Just sayin.’
It will be interesting to see if Kanye actually produces these pieces on his own dime or is attempting to court another brand to take a chance on him in his current toxic state. Either way, we don’t see his new collection garnering much interest even on social media.

It’s been a minute since adidas publicly severed ties with Kanye West over his antisemitic outbursts, but now the three-striped brand is being taken to court by investors who feel they waited too long to make the business decision.

Bloomberg is reporting that investors have filed a lawsuit against Adidas claiming that the German sportswear conglomerate knew the risks of partnering with the likes of Kanye West, but rolled the dice anyway and crapped out when it was all said and done. Apparently the higher ups at Adidas did indeed discuss the potential hazard that Kanye West presented back in 2018, but decided to continue their partnership with the controversial artist. That did not end well for anyone.

Related Stories

In a 2018 annual report, released in March of the following year, Adidas ignored serious issues of partnering with Ye – and the risk to shareholders – by “generally alluding” to the risks “rather than stating that the company had actually considered ending the partnership as a result of West’s personal behavior,” according to the complaint.

Reports in subsequent years failed to disclose that West made anti-Semetic comments to Adidas staff, at one point suggesting that he might name an album after Adolf Hitler, according to the complaint. As the relationship with Ye eroded, so did Adidas shares, until the deal was terminated, according to the filing.
To make matters worse for Adidas, even after they cut ties with Kanye West, the company continued to accept shipments of Yeezy products from suppliers who were still producing it. Ultimately Adidas ended up with $1.3 billion in Yeezy merchandise that they now plan on selling off and giving the money to charity.
The lawsuit, which seeks to representing investors who bought Adidas securities between May 3, 2018 and Feb. 21, also names ousted former CEO Kasper Rorsted as a defendant.
The case is HRSA-ILA Funds v. Adidas, 23-cv-629, US District Court for the District of Oregon.
2023 is looking to be a struggle year for Adidas given everything that Kanye has wrought on the company.

Kanye West aka Ye is not online but is back outside. His Instagram account has been deactivated but he pulled up to the Fear Of God fashion show this week.

As spotted on Digital Music News, Kanye West is officially off Instagram. His last post on April 18 alluded to him contemplating leaving the social media platform as the visual was a screenshot of the app’s settings page where you can manually deactivate the account immediately. Later that afternoon, his page was gone for good. While his departure from Instagram was abrupt it seems this was inevitable.

Within the last couple of months the rapper’s account had been suspended for violating the terms of use; specifically when he posted some content that was deemed “hate speech”.
Additionally, his energy toward his rival Pete Davidson was largely viewed as harassment and bullying. While he has fallen back from social media, High Snobiety reports he did take the time to attend the Fear Of God runway show on Thursday, April 19.

Held at Hollywood Bowl, the invite-only event was packed with high-profile tastemakers and celebrities but Kanye West and his new wife turned the most heads. Wearing his signature all-black roomy attire with a mask, Yeezy seemed to be in good spirits. His better half on the other hand wore a skin-tight latex body suit that left very little to the imagination.

You can see a video of the couple at the fashion show below.
