Jennifer Lopez

Jennifer Lopez and Maná are set to appear at a Kamala Harris rally and concert in Las Vegas on Thursday (Oct. 31).
The Puerto Rican superstar will speak at the event about the importance of voting and endorse Vice President Kamala Harris and Governor Tim Walz, while the Mexican band will perform, according to the Harris/Walz campaign.

“These artists and public figures are trusted voices for millions of Americans, who listen to their music, follow them on social media, or otherwise are inspired by them,” a press release states. “The Harris-Walz campaign believes that by using their voices to lay out the stakes of this election, it will further encourage and mobilize people to go vote.”

Part of the “When We Vote We Win” series, the rally aims to mobilize young and nontraditional voters ahead of the last day of early voting in Nevada on Friday (Nov. 1).

Both Lopez and Maná have supported the Democratic candidate or Democratic causes and have been very vocal about the importance of voting on this election.

Trending on Billboard

Only last Sunday (Oct. 27), the singer and actress amplified Harris’ message about her commitment with Puerto Rico by sharing a video of the VP on her Instagram Stories, after comedian Tony Hinchcliffe made a racist joke at a Donald Trump rally in New York City, where he called the U.S. commonwealth a “floating island of garbage.”

Meanwhile, Maná has been a strong supporter of Democratic causes over the years, particularly related to immigration reform and other Latino related issues. “The way Trump expresses himself about Mexicans and the Latin community is incredible,” the band’s leader, Fher Olvera, tweeted in Spanish following a 2016 presidential debate. “Like a lot of people have perceived it, he is a racist.” The Mexican band also celebrated President Joe Biden’s 2020 win, writing on Twitter (now X), “Values won over perversity. There’s unity in diversity.”

Las month, the band even pulled its 2016 Nicky Jam collaboration “De Pies a Cabeza” from music streaming platforms following the reggaetón star’s endorsement of Trump. “Maná doesn’t work with racists,” the band wrote in Spanish on Instagram. “For the past 30 years, Maná has supported and defended the rights of Latinos around the world. There is no business or promotion that is worth more than the dignity of our people. That is why today Maná decided to remove its collaboration with Nicky Jam on ‘Pies a Cabeza’ from all digital platforms.”

Instead of doing her homework one day after school, the multihyphenate born Atia Boggs used her time for a different assignment. She had just bought Lauryn Hill’s The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill and recalls coming home, sitting down and writing all the lyrics on flash cards. “That’s when I realized how important a good song was and how substance matters,” says Boggs, now 37 and known as the songwriter–producer INK. “And that really inspired me in a whole new way… I learned how to create my own path.”

She taught herself guitar and started street performing, walking “miles on miles” from downtown Atlanta to the residential Buckhead neighborhood “playing for pennies.” Without any music industry connections, INK sought a mentor online, searching for her favorite songwriters such as James Fauntleroy, with whom she became Facebook friends in the late 2000s. “He was a mentor for me in the very beginning,” she says. “That gave me the confidence to say, ‘I can do this.’ ” Her first big break came in 2019, after she had co-produced and co-written Chris Brown’s song “Don’t Check on Me,” which featured Justin Bieber — and Brown decided it should feature INK, too. “It gave me so much exposure and another boost of confidence to have a superstar say, ‘Hey, we’re going to introduce you to the world.’ That was one of the moments that led to the unstoppable train I’m on now.”

This year has proved to be INK’s biggest, and busiest, yet — but she teases 2025 will be even crazier, as she’s working on her own music and a documentary while continuing to collaborate with music’s upper echelon.

Trending on Billboard

Beyoncé, Cowboy Carter

“Beyoncé was definitely a catalyst for the freight train to keep going,” says INK, who started working with Bey before COVID-19 hit on Cowboy Carter tracks including “Ameriican Requiem” and “16 Carriages.” INK recalls how, in 2019, they met at Roc Nation’s Grammys week brunch: “We have an inside joke because I went up to her and said, ‘Hey, I just wanted to let you know, I’m going to be writing your next album.’ And she giggled and said, ‘What’s your name?’ We just hit it off.” Soon after, INK was working with producer Ricky Reed, who introduced her to Beyoncé’s A&R executives. “They said, ‘We would love to have you be on this journey with us from the start.’ And five years later, Cowboy Carter was delivered.”

INK was friends with Lopez’s A&R executive long before he had the gig. So when it was time to assemble a team for Lopez’s personal album This Is Me… Now, he told INK, “You’re the first person I thought of for this.” INK most loved how “there’s not a session that happens without [Lopez]… I remember one time, she was like, ‘Hey, pull up today, but I’m going to send you a different address.’ And it’s the movie set [for Atlas]. We’re recording parts from the album in her trailer, and she comes in covered in blood, wet, cuts, bruises all over her body. And then she’s on the mic recording the song that we just wrote in her trailer. I thought that was the coolest thing ever, and it just showed the work ethic.”

Latto, “Look What You Did”

INK has long worked with Latto’s producer, Go Grizzly, another Atlanta native, but she had yet to work with the “Big Energy” rapper herself until this year. As INK recalls, she and Grizzly were working in Paris when they “cooked up the beat” that became “Look What You Did,” off the rapper’s third full-length album, Sugar Honey Iced Tea. “We did a beat in the studio, and then he was like, ‘Yo, you already know we have to get Latto on this.’ She heard it, she loved it and snapped.” INK had previously worked with Mariah the Scientist, who featured on “Look What You Did,” earlier this year when she guested on 21 Savage’s American Dream album. “So the dots connected,” she says.

And just like that, Jennifer Lopez is a single woman… again.

Just two years after wedding her 2000s beau, Ben Affleck, Jennifer Lopez has filed for divorce from the Oscar-winning actor as their marriage has seemingly been struggling for quite some time. According to the Huffpost, Jenny from the block has officially taken steps to once again dissolve “Bennifer” after months of speculation that the two might very well be on their way to divorce court.

While Jennifer decided to file for divorce on Tuesday (Aug. 20), according to her legal filings, the two have been separated since April 26, 2024. To make matters even more complicated, there is no prenuptial agreement, and Lopez actually filed the divorce papers “pro per,” which means she didn’t use an attorney to file on her behalf. We guess after filing for divorce three times already, Jennifer Lopez seems to have learned a thing or two about how to get the job done without any legal assistance.

Still, it’s no surprise to many onlookers who have speculated for months that “Bennifer” was on the rocks as the two spent some meaningful days of the year apart from each other without any explanation.
The interesting aspect is that without a pre-nup in the picture, the money the two made since they tied the knot will now become “community property” including Ben’s films such as Air and The Accountant 2, along with Jennifer’s Atlas and Shotgun Wedding.
Huffpost reports:

Amid reports that the two were living separately, the “Hustlers” actor tried to put a damper on the breakup speculation.
When she was asked about the reported relationship strife during an event promoting her film “Atlas” in Mexico City on May 22, costar Simu Liu stepped in.
Chastising the journalist for the question, Liu said: “OK, we’re not doing that.” Lopez added: “You know better than that.”
Though the two appeared happy together at Affleck’s daughter’s high school graduation on May 30, questions about the marriage intensified when “Entertainment Tonight” reported that Affleck and Lopez had quietly put their $60.8 million Beverly Hills estate on the market in early June. The property hit public real estate listings in July.
We’re not gonna lie, we were low-key rooting for these two, but at the end of the day it’s better to be single than to feel alone in a relationship or marriage.
Regardless of the fact that Jennifer Lopez is 54 years old, you can bet your bottom dollar that many men will be sliding into her DMs to see if she needs a “friend” or “consoling” now that she’s going through some hard times.
It’s a cold game out there.

Could Jennifer Lopez be on her way to a fourth divorce in her illustrious love life? We don’t know but it seems like her marriage to Ben Affleck might be on the rocks if recent reports that the two superstars are living separate lives are to be believed.

According to People, J. Lo and Benny boy have been having marital problems for quite some time and the most recent example of the two not getting along came on Mother’s Day when apparently Jenny from the block spent the holiday away from her Oscar winning hubby. Though it seemed like the two were meant to be together when they rekindled their love a few years ago and tied the knot in 2022, it seems like it’s once again falling apart like it’s 2004.
People reports:

Lopez, 54, and Affleck, 51, have been residing apart from each other since Lopez returned to Los Angeles from New York City. She had been busy in New York City filming her movie Kiss of the Spider Woman, promoting her next movie Atlas, and co-chairing the 2024 Met Gala, which Affleck went absent from.
Affleck, meanwhile, has been filming a sequel to his 2016 movie The Accountant in Los Angeles in recent weeks and was most recently seen solo at Netflix’s May 5 live Roast of Tom Brady.
Lopez, who shares her 16-year-old twins Max and Emme with ex-husband Marc Anthony, shared two Instagram posts on Mother’s Day noting her relationship with her kids and her own mom Guadalupe “Lupe” Rodríguez.
After the two collaborated on that hilarious Dunkin Donuts commercial we really thought they were in a good place in their marriage. We guess not.
Though the two haven’t been spending much quality time together, the “D” word (Divorce) has yet to be muttered but the way things are looking, it feels like it’s only a matter of time before Jennifer Lopez is back on the market and has a gang of men sliding in her DM’s. Yes, she’s 54-years-old but still looks amazing, so y’all already know her DM’s are going to get flooded.

Even at the big age of 54-years-old, Jennifer Lopez still gives many of these young women a run for their money when it comes to physical fitness. And recently the Bronx natove demonstrated how she does it.

On Sunday, March 24, the “Waiting For Tonight” singer took to Instagram to show her followers the workout regiment she uses to keep herself in amazing shape. It seems simple enough even for beginners to follow. Utilizing some light dumbbells in her routine, J.Lo shows us how she uses lunges, shoulder presses and squats to keep herself in tip-top shape while in the comfort of her own backyard.

She must be getting ready to promote her next film, ATLAS. In the trailer you can see her flaunting her toned physique, too. While the workout video was cool, we need to know what her diet consists of, too. We doubt she’s keeping herself in that kind of shape while still munching on the OG Puerto Rican diet of arroz con pollo on the regular. Just sayin’.
Regardless though, y’all know Ben Affleck must be a happy man.
What do y’all think of J.Lo’s workout? Would y’all go harder or is this just right? Let us know in the comments section below.

It feels like it’s been a hot minute since we’ve seen Hollywood superstar Jennifer Lopez star in a feature film. But it seems like the Puerto Rican legend is ready to remind everyone she’s still that chick in Netflix’s latest sci-fi adventure.

On Wednesday (March 13), Netflix released their first teaser trailer to the Bred Peyton-directed ATLAS, which stars Jennifer Lopez as Atlas Shepherd, who finds herself in the middle of a war between humanity and AI powered machines. While one would think this is basically another installment of Terminator, ATLAS centers around Shepherd’s relationship with a rogue robot who are tasked with saving earth from the takeover of the machines.
Wait, this isn’t Terminator?!

Also featuring the likes of Sterling K. Brown and Simu Liu (Shang-Chi), the trailer finds Lopez barely escaping death while in her robotic machine as the war wages on in the skies as she struggles to stick the landing.
We lowkey hope Ben Affleck pops out with a DunKing tracksuit at some point. Just sayin’.
Check out the trailer for ATLAS below, and let us know if you’ll be checking for it when it premiers on Netflix this Memorial Day.

It is clear Jennifer Lopez is still tapped into the streets. She had Redman join her during her Saturday Night Live set.

As spotted on GQ Magazine Newark and the South Bronx have come together for a memorable moment on one of the world’s most iconic stages. On Saturday, Feb 3 the “Love Don’t Cost A Thing” singer debuted the remix to her single “Can’t Get Enough” which reprises Redman’s 1998 hit “Da Goodness”. Wearing a suit, an untucked button-up shirt and a fedora to match the black and white theme, Reggie Noble flawlessly rapped his verse while interacting with the Grammy Award nominated singer with his own set of dance moves. Additionally, the bars were gritty but still made aligned with the track’s mainstream feel. “Take ’em to the limit / shut the place down in a New York minute / Look around the room, J.LO they all mad / Season veterans – check the dog tags”.

This is not the first time Funk Doctor Spock has lent his talents to a pop song. Back in 2003 Christina Aguilera redid his song “Dirty” which he featured on. The track was the lead single to her multi-platinum album Stripped. The duo performed the song at 2002 MTV Music Awards. You can see Jennifer Lopez rock with both Latto and Redman on Saturday Night Live below.

The impressive run for comedian and actress Ayo Edebiri is continuing, as it was announced that she will be hosting Saturday Night Live for the first time. Edebiri will host the long-running NBC show on Feb. 3, and Jennifer Lopez will join in as the musical guest for that episode. This weekend’s episode will feature actress Dakota Johnson as the host, with pop star Justin Timberlake serving as the musical guest.

The news comes as Edebiri is fresh off of winning the Emmy Award for Best Supporting Comedy Actress for her role as Sydney Adamu in FX’s The Bear.
