Justin Bieber Parties With Sexyy Red for Rapper’s 27th Birthday

Sexyy Red had the stars out in Los Angeles for her 27th birthday party earlier this week as she twerked the night away at The Players Club. Among those in attendance were Justin Bieber and GloRilla.

Fresh off attending Coachella with his wife, Hailey Bieber, JB pulled up to Big Sexyy’s bash in a tan fur coat with some gold chains as he danced alongside the St. Louis rapper.

Sexyy rocked a bikini with a sparkling Santa Claus robe, a money sign red belt and a matching furry hat with plenty of flashy jewelry on.

“My 2 personalities,” she captioned the clip with Bieber and then posted another video twerking, which was soundtracked by her new “Hoochie Coochie” single. Fans were happy to see JB outside having some fun.

“LMFAOOOO THANK YOU FOR GETTING JUSTIN OUT THE HOUSE,” one person wrote to X. Another added: “Lmfao I love that dude!”

It was a busy weekend for Biebs, who was spotted turning up at YEAT’s Coachella set with his wife, as well as Tate McRae and her boyfriend, The Kid LAROI.

As for the rest of Sexyy’s rager, she turned The Players Club into a strip club alongside GloRilla, as the “WHATCHU KNO ABOUT ME” collaborators made it rain dollar bills.

On the music side, Sexyy Red delivered her ratchet “Hoochie Coochie” single earlier in April. The party will continue into the weekend as Sexyy’s slated to make an appearance at Club LIV in Miami and perform at the 305 hot spot.

She told Time that she and fellow Compton native Lamar have been “trying to do something together for ages,” but when he first reached out to ask if she would crip walk during his performance of “Not Like Us,” just as she did after winning Wimbledon for the fifth time in 2012, Williams admitted to being a bit confused.

Trending on Billboard

“I’m like, ‘Wait, what, you’re asking me?’” she admitted. “I’m not Taylor Swift, let’s be honest. I would have a better chance to be quarterback at the Super Bowl than dance.”

However, she didn’t want to pass up the opportunity to represent for their shared hometown, even if it meant dancing while a diss aimed at her ex-boyfriend Drake was playing. “Who would have thought that a tennis player from Compton would be regarded as one of the best tennis players of all time?” she asked. “It was just putting an exclamation on it.”

Williams is still not sure if she regrets it, though, telling the outlet, “I don’t know if I regret it or not. I don’t know the answer to that.” She also doesn’t feel like she was dissing the Toronto rapper. “Absolutely not. I would never do that,” the 23-time singles champ asserted. “And that was sad, that anyone would ever think that. I respect how they could. Obviously, I can see how someone would think that. But absolutely not.”

She added: “I have never had negative feelings towards him. We’ve known him for so many years.”

Back in 2022, on the song “Middle of the Ocean” from his joint album Her Loss with 21 Savage, Drake called Williams’ husband, Reddit co-founder Alex Ohanian, “a groupie,” which prompted Ohanian to respond on X. “The reason I stay winning is because I’m relentless about being the absolute best at whatever I do — including being the best groupie for my wife & daughter,” Ohanian wrote at the time.

The heavyweight series will include projects from Nas & DJ Premier, Ghostface Killah, Mobb Deep, Raekwon The Chef, Big L, De La Soul and what the brand calls an “epic return by a surprise guest of honor,” according to a press release. The projects are expected to drop before the end of 2025.

Among those projects will likely be Ghostface Killah’s long-rumored Supreme Clientele 2 and Raekwon’s Emperor’s New Clothes. Additionally, the De La Soul and Mobb Deep records will be the first release since the deaths of Trugoy The Dove and Prodigy. There will also be a posthumous release from Harlem’s Big L.

The new Nas record will be the rapper’s first since his 2023 run, during which he dropped off King’s Disease III, Magic 2 and Magic 3. The Queens legend teased the aforementioned DJ Premier record in 2024, announcing it on the 30th anniversary of his seminal debut Illmatic back in April. However, the idea of a Nas and Premier record dates back to 2006, when the former first floated the idea in an interview with Scratch magazine.

“We talked about doing an album together and some of the listeners want to rush the s—t — I wanna rush it, too — but I just want to pull pieces from all kinds of different people for this next puzzle because a lot of people think s—t got easy, that I quit,” he said at the time.

Mass Appeal also teased the news on its Instagram with a video. Check it out below.

Slim Thug Claims Megan Thee Stallion Secretly Has a Crush on Him: ‘We Could Have a Good Time’

Slim Thug believes Megan Thee Stallion has a crush on him, and says he’s down to find out once and for all.

During an Instagram Live session on Tuesday (April 15), Slim firmly stood by this claim, listing off numerous reasons why he believes the Houston Hottie is into him.

“Did y’all see Thee Stallion dancing to ‘Thug From Around the Way’ and ‘Still Tippin’?” he said, referring to Meg’s Coachella performance. “If that ain’t a ‘I want you daddy’ call, I don’t know what is. So I’m just waiting on my day, kid. I’m just waiting on her to come to Houston and hit my line like, ‘Hey I’m in the town! Pick me up!’ It’s only a matter of time at this point. She brought me out in Houston. I know she got a crush on me by this point. She danced to two of my songs!”

You could tell from the twerking! I ain’t gon’ let her kill me. I can’t pop a Viagra every day! Got damn! But we could have a good time. I’ll catch you in the city.”

Slim’s claims come after Meg did, in fact, bring him out in Houston to perform “Still Tippin” during her Hot Girl Summer Tour last year. After the show, Slim posted a clip of the performance on Instagram, captioning the post: “What yall think I got a chance or naw?”

“It’s Time. Red Planet,” Thug wrote to X with the link to the UY SCUTI store, signaling Thugger season is just around the corner. Per Nine Planets, Uy Scuti is a red supergiant star located in the constellation Scutum.

The online shop includes a pair of vinyl and CD covers as well as a few merchandise bundles supporting the album. There’s even a “What Would Brian Do” T-shirt in a salute to Thug’s lawyer, Brian Steel, who represented the rapper in the YSL RICO case.

Steel actually joined Diddy’s defense team earlier this week for his sex trafficking and racketeering trial looming next month. The decorated attorney joins a legal team that includes Marc Agnifilo, who is a former federal prosecutor who has repped Martin Shkreli, along with his law partner Teny Geragos.

As for Thug, a billboard was spotted at Coachella teasing his upcoming album with an apparent May arrival. “Universe has been too quiet. Until now. UY SCUTI,” the billboard read while the specific release date in May is blacked out.

Many have speculated a May 9 release date, which is a Friday, and marks three years since Thug and 27 others were taken into custody on RICO charges.

Young Thug hasn’t released a single in 2025, but appeared on Lil Baby’s album for “Dum, Dumb, and Dumber” alongside Future.

After over two years behind bars as part of the longest-running trial in Georgia’s history, Thug secured his release when reaching a plea deal on Halloween that saw him sentenced to 15 years of probation.

New Drake Album After Coachella Hype? | Billboard News

Drake went on Adin Ross’ livestream and spilled that he has a new solo album in the works after he received love from Travis Scott and Yeat at Coachella. Keep watching for the full story!

Are you ready for a new Drake album? Let us know in the comments!

Tetris Kelly:

Drake’s recent return with PARTYNEXTDOOR wasn’t enough, as he hints at new music with Adin Ross. After Yeat and Travis Scott showed him all the love at Coachella, we’re breaking it down. “Nokia” just reached a new peak on the Billboard Hot 100, and Drake told Adin Ross on a livestream he appreciates the success, but is ready for a new album. We hope it slaps—the OVO crooner dropped his last solo LP back in 2023. The streets must miss him, because Yeat performed a cover of Drake’s song “Feel No Ways” at Coachella, and Travis Scott performed “Modern Jam” over Drake’s “Nokia” instrumental. Drake himself also mentioned the Wireless Festival, which he’s headlining in London this July.

‘Martin’ Spin-Off Produced by Martin Lawrence & Starring Tommy Davidson Coming to BET+

Did ya miss me?

For those of us old enough to remember Martin (or caught up through reruns), that phrase is etched into our pop culture vocabulary. During a memorable two-episode run called “Hollywood Swingin’,” in the popular Fox show’s second season, In Living Color alum Tommy Davidson starred as talk-show host Varnell Hill who was in town as a guest on Martin’s local Detroit-area radio show on WZUP and would use “Did ya miss me?” as his famous catchphrase.

Feeling one-upped on his own show and sarcastically promised a guest appearance of his own, Martin would then fly out to L.A. to check out The Varnell Hill Show live and ultimately finessed his way on the show by hilariously crashing a Jodeci performance.

Well, Deadline is reporting that BET+ is ordering a series around the character 32 years later, centered around Davidson and his film crew as they go about making a late-night talk show. Varnell Hill will be a direct spin-off of that very character and it was created and executive produced by Martin Lawrence and Bentley Evans, who himself had a memorable character on Martin, which he recently talked about on the Holdin’ Court Podcast. Evans will also serve as the showrunner as he once did on Martin and The Jamie Foxx Show. He also wrote the pilot and will direct episodes.

Trending on Billboard

In a statement, Davidson seemed excited to bring this character to life once again saying: “Did you miss me? Well, now you don’t have to! I’m excited and honored to be a part of such a creative project with the brilliant mind of Martin Lawrence, over 30 years in the making. Fans have requested it and now it’s coming to BET+!”

Martin premiered in 1992 and aired for five seasons, helping launch Lawrence’s movie career as a certified box-office draw.

We wonder if the catfish in Lake Varnell are still as delicious as they were back in ’93.

MGK Reacts to Being Excluded From Viral ‘White Rapper Mount Rushmore’: ‘Blasphemy’

If a Mount Rushmore-like attraction commemorating white rappers is ever built, Machine Gun Kelly thinks his face should definitely be carved into the rock — despite what a recent viral mockup of the concept dictates.

Days after a seemingly AI-generated image of a fake “White Rapper Mt. Rushmore” started going viral on social media, the “My Ex’s Best Friend” musician spoke out against his omission from the choice of hip-hop stars featured in the picture. In place of the real-life monument’s lineup of past United States presidents George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt and Abraham Lincoln, the faux Caucasian-rapper iteration showed stone-like renderings of Eminem, Mac Miller, Paul Wall and Russ.

“me not on the white rapper mt rushmore is blasphemy,” MGK wrote on X.

Trending on Billboard

In evidence of why he should have been included, the rapper-turned-punk-rocker also reposted a video of him freestyling in his home city of Cleveland while guesting on Gillie Da Kid and Wallo267’s YouTube series MILLION DOLLAZ WORTH OF GAME in August. “I made 10 mil with someone, and we ain’t talking now/ F— the money, I just want the loyalty we talked about,” he spits in the clip as his posse cheers him on. “It’s no other side, it is only us/ I get cross-eyed watching y’all switch up.”

Though he’s earned a reputation for trying out different genres in recent years, MGK got his start in rap. His sophomore album, General Admission released via Bad Boy Records, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart.

Since 2020’s Travis Barker-produced Tickets to My Downfall, however, the musician has been more focused on flexing his pop-punk and rock capabilities — most recently doing so on last month’s single “Your Name Forever.” Collaborating with Jelly Roll in 2024 on both “Lonely Road” and “Time of Day” after covering The Chicks’ “There’s Your Trouble” for Spotify Singles in July, he’s also been dipping into the country space.

But his music isn’t the only thing that’s experienced change lately. In March, MGK also welcomed a baby girl with ex Megan Fox, making him a father of two. He also has a teenage daughter named Casie from a past relationship.

“She’s finally here!! our little celestial seed,” the artist wrote on Instagram last month to announce the birth.

Wale Says J. Cole Once Suggested Meditation to Beat Writer’s Block

Wale recently took to X and opened up about how he once dealt with writer’s block, revealing that a fellow rapper once suggested meditation.

“Music friends, how do y’all cure writers block,” he asked. “Over the years I’ve had different methods. Curious what y’all do.” Fans responded with a ton of suggestions that ranged from taking a walk, continue writing until something clicks, and “getting past the fear of writing something trash.”

When one fan quote tweeted his original tweet with a clip of J. Cole explaining how he deals with writer’s block, saying that you need to trust yourself and just write instead of waiting around for inspiration that may never come, Folarin replied that it’s a subject the two peers often talk about and meditation helped him out when they were trying to record a song together. “I done talked to Cole ’bout the block a rack of times,” he replied. “One time [he tried to] teach me how to meditate…it worked a lil. We made ‘My Boy‘ right after.”

And while he wasn’t dealing with writer’s block at that exact moment and admitted that he “wrote a lot today,” the Washington D.C. rapper is going to try some of the methods suggested. “I don’t have the block right now FYI, he told fans. “I was just curious. I wrote a lot today lol. Next time I do I’m def comin back here.”

Wale may be gearing up to release his eighth solo album as he’s dropped two new songs late last year, premiering “Ghetto Speak” in a Nike Foamposite ad. He’s also helping the sneaker giant rollout the new Nike GT Future Foamposite that’s set to drop later this holiday season.
