The WNBA is enjoying increased media coverage due to big names from the current season’s draft class, including Angel Reese, Caitlin Clark, and more. Things got tense on the set of First Take, ESPN’s popular morning sports program after analyst Monica McNutt checked Stephen A. Smith on his WNBA coverage, or lack thereof.
Eagle-eye fans of First Take caught wind of the moment during the Monday (June 3) broadcast of First Take which had a segment on the WNBA with Stephen A. Smith, 56, having himself a self-congratulatory moment with Monica McNutt, 34, shutting it down as it happened.
Smith began with, “Who talks about the WNBA, who talks about women, who talks about women’s sports more than First Take?”
McNutt’s rebuttal was, “Stephen A., respectfully, with your platform, you could have been doing this three years ago if you wanted to.”
Things got tense after this as Smith reacted to McNutt’s jab in incredulous fashion and the two began talking over each other with Shannon Sharpe interjecting at some point. Show moderator Molly Qerim did her best to get the strong personalities of Smith and McNutt on the same page but seemed frustrated by the overtalking and arguing over the point.
McNutt’s words echo some of the frustration WNBA players and fans have expressed that the larger sports outlet has ignored the league for years until the new influx of young talent, who brought with them the NCAA fandom that the collegiate game grew over the past few years with the aforementioned Reese, Clark, and numerous stars undergoing their rookie campaigns in the W.
On X, formerly Twitter, fans reacted to Monica McNutt dressing down Stephen A. Smith and his WNBA coverage. Check out the replies below.

Eminem is currently gearing up for his 12th studio release, The Death of Slim Shady (Coup de Grâce), and teased the “end” of his shock lyric persona of Slim Shady not long ago. On the new track “Houdini,” the Detroit wordsmith harkened back to his earlier days with a familiar bop but sparked criticism for making Megan Thee Stallion the butt of one of his jokes in rhyme form.
The track “Houdini, ” produced by Eminem and longtime collaborator Luis Resto, takes its sampling cues from the Steve Miller Band’s “Abracadabra” hit along with Slim’s tracks, “Without Me”, “My Name Is” and “Just Lose It.”
In one portion of the track’s first verse, Megan Thee Stallion has her name inserted with Em connecting her shooting incident using a layered simile as he’s known to do.
From “Houdini”:
And I don’t gotta play pretend, it’s you I make believeAnd you know I’m here to stay ’cause meIf I was to ever take a leave, It would be aspirin to break a feveIf I was to ask for Megan Thee Stallion if she would collab with meWould I really have a shot at a feat? (Ha!)
It’s obvious where Em was going with the ending bar, referencing the Houston rapper’s foot injury after she was shot by Tory Lanez in 2020 after a star-studded party event. The line didn’t go missed by the Hotties and other observers who felt the swipe at the expense of a Black woman’s pain was over the top.
Eminem, in his Slim Shady persona, has never spared anyone’s personal business when it comes to his rhyme schemes and this time is no different. However, Megan Thee Stallion is one of the most beloved stars of her time so the reactions to the lyric came in hot.

Cardi B showed and proved that she’s a defender of the “real beaters” and “real bean flickers” massive and crew after taking to social media to defend the use of pornography. This comes as Candace Owens is on a public crusade to ban pornography and it appears that Owens has a lot of supporters according to what we witnessed on X.
On May 21, Candace Owens took to X and shared a tweet shooting down the usage of porn, claiming its use is deliberately weakening men.
“Ban pornography. It is a psychological weapon intended to weaken our men,” the political pundit wrote with several other users agreeing with her stance while others pushed back. As seen online, Cardi B caught wind of the tweet after it was posted on an Instagram account and replied under the post with a strong defense of the genre.
“Ommmggg why yall so against porn ? Is it that bad for yall ? I enjoy it but I don’t know I guess is like a 6 time a year thing. I personally don’t feel no connection or addiction to it just a little quick one two … NOTHING LIKE REAL INTIMACY!” read Cardi B’s response.
After someone challenged her stance, Cardi wrote, “How? It actually should teach men how to please a woman.”
On X, formerly Twitter, news of the exchange went wide and some folks are questioning Cardi B and essentially adopting the stance of Owens.
It should go without saying that pornography is for adult consumption and that like any other form of media, there should be some limits to what one exposes themselves too. Too much of anything can become an issue and Cardi clearly said it’s not a 24-7 thing but that part was skipped because people like to be emotional and loud online these days.
We’ve got replies with folks alarmingly siding with Candace Owens and unnecessarily name-calling Cardi B below.

1. Maybe she saw something she liked and applied it to real life? *SHRUG*

6. This one could’ve stayed in the drafts because why?

7. She may have misspoke. Shoot her some bail.

8. Gotta get that insult in before making your point.

Yung Miami turned heads and raised eyebrows in 2023 when she confessed during a Q&A session that she allowed her ex-lover Sean “Diddy” Combs to perform golden showers with her. This past weekend, Yung Miami said she never allowed Diddy to do the act and claimed she only said so to sell her drinking card game, Resha Roulette.
This past Sunday (May 26), Yung Miami took to X, formerly Twitter, where she often engages with fans and detractors alike with the same passion and walked back the statement she made last year on her REVOLT talk show Caresha Please regarding Diddy and golden showers. By now, we shouldn’t have to explain what golden showers are, right? Right. So let’s get into how this latest bit of discussion popped off.
The City Girls rapper and social media star asked her followers a rather innocent question via X and things were flowing well until one user got out of pocket.
“Do you remember why you fell in love with me????” read YM’s X reply, with a Nicki Minaj stan account replying “When I found out you loved getting pissed on.”
YM replied to the stan account with, “A n*gga NEVER EVER PEE’D on ME! I did that tp promote my card game [and] it did exactly what I needed to do!”

Of course, X being the petty sleuths they are, pulled out receipts to prove that YM was either lying or misremembering the moment.

For a brief moment, fans looking to throw stones behind their computer screens took the exchange as a moment to dump on YM and dress her down as social media fans often aim to do.
Overall, Yung Miami didn’t seem phased by the attacks and shot it down while continuing to move on and live her life out loud with several of her fans praising her looks and new music.
Check out some of the reactions below.

Vory, an artist who was once signed to Meek Mill‘s Dream Chasers record label, is now the topic of discussion after the leak of a reported reference track went wide. Vory is heard rapping lyrics from Drake‘s “Mob Ties” track from the Canadian superstar’s Scorpion album and X has a lot of thoughts.
Vory, 26, is listed as a songwriter on “Mob Ties,” which was considered one of the standout tracks on Scorpion by Drake fans. A leak posted by X user @PushaThanos__ features a track of Vory rapping a verse from the track that sounds quite similar to the finished product and sparked a deluge of comments from fans and detractors. The timing is especially noticeable considering the war of words the OVO Sound honcho finds himself embroiled in with Kendrick Lamar.

As you can hear in the track, the cadence, flow, and the lyrics as a whole are connected but it hasn’t been confirmed if this is an official reference track nor how it was obtained. It isn’t a secret that Drake has employed writers in his sessions as many others have before him and he’s been criticized for it in droves. That same criticism is especially robust now considering the battle with K-Dot taking hold of the culture of late.
Vory caught the ire of Meek Mill back in February of this year after video footage leaked of the Louisville rapper threatening to kill his girlfriend, which of course adds to all of the drama that has ensued over the past two months.
On X, formerly Twitter, the reactions to the Vory “Mob Ties” leak are all over the place. We’ve got the best of the crop below.

Joe Budden is back in a familiar position after fans are hurling criticism at the broadcaster for seemingly avoiding the topic of Diddy due to their past business relationship. A recent episode of The Joe Budden Podcast was discovered to have edited out a portion of the show regarding Diddy and the violent nature of the released video.
During the Friday (May 17) taping of his eponymously named podcast, Joe Budden and his co-hosts were probably expected to tackle the topic of Sean Combs and the video showing the mogul physically harming then-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.
As fans online noted, the podcast episode description on Saturday (May 18) showed a timestamp of the crew discussing Combs’ recent issues. However, the discussion was scrubbed from the episode and the outcry from the public Budden to speak on X Spaces. This isn’t the first time Budden has edited out a discussion about Combs, doing so back in November of last year when Ventura went public with her lawsuit.
In the Spaces, which also featured comments from Budden’s music collaborator and part-time podcast member Emanny, Budden says that they didn’t properly address the situation because it was happening as they were taping. He assured attendees in the Spaces chat that he intends to dive into the matter in detail in the next episode, which airs this Wednesday (May 22).
Budden was part of Diddy’s REVOLT network and has spoken favorably of the mogul on his platform. Some fans believe that due to the nature of their connection, Budden takes a lighthanded approach when discussing Combs.

Kid Rock, who has as much talent as most folks have in their left toenail, is still making headlines for reasons outside his make-believe music career. During a recent interview, the MAGA-loving former struggle rapper turned struggle rocker waved his gun at the journalist while dropping some racial slurs for good measure.
The career arc of Kid Rock was examined in a new interview from Rolling Stone in which journalist David Peisner looked deeper into the man, whose real name is Bob Ritchie, and how he became aligned with all things Donald Trump.
At one stretch of the interview, an intoxicated Kid Rock waved a gun along with other antics befitting a guy who seems to be nothing more than a raging clout demon. This came after Rock and Peisner were locked into a debate about Trump’s racist and xenophobic stances against immigrants, especially those hailing from Mexico.
From Rolling Stone:
By this time, I’ve long since quit drinking, but Ritchie has exchanged his white wine for Jim Beam and Diet Coke. He proceeds to drain at least three or four of them in pretty quick succession. He’s sitting in a dark leather chair, shouting at me about something or other, when he reaches behind the seat, pulls out a black handgun, and waves it around to make some sort of point.
“And I got a fucking goddamn gun right here if I need it!” he shouts. “I got them everywhere!”
This was the tenor of the next hour or so. We start talking about American history, and he rightfully brings up slavery and the genocide of Native Americans as stains on that history. I ask him if he worries that in the modern day he might be on the wrong side of history.
“No. It was the Republicans that freed the f*cking slaves!”
“Yes, but the Republicans were the progressive party back then.”
In this exact exchange, Rock refers to the infamous Trick Trick as “the hardest-hitting n*gger in Detroit” and claims that the legendary underground rapper and producer supported Rock’s embrace of Trump.
Kid Rock saw his name trending Monday (May 20) due to the Rolling Stone interview and people just generally kicking his back in. We’ve got reactions listed below.

Clay Gravesande, one of the stars of the hit Netflix show Love Is Blind, is back in the public eye after introducing a new romance. The reality television star and former track athlete made things public with Celina Powell and fans on social media have thoughts.
On Tuesday (May 14), Celina Powell made things Instagram official with Clay Gravesande by sharing a video of the pair in a loving embrace, confirming at the very least the pair are together in some form or fashion.
This came as a shock to some observers, considering Gravesande was a contestant on the most recent season of Love Is Blind and made it to the end only to leave Amber “AD” Smith heartbroken at the altar.
Powell, who some might remember claimed Offset got her pregnant and even claimed she slept with Snoop Dogg four years ago, a claim that the veteran rapper debunked with some requisite vulgarity.
Fans of Love Is Blind will also recall that Gravesande’s parents spoke to him earnestly about his father’s failures as a husband and how he mistreated his spouse as something of a cautionary warning. In all, it seemed like Gravesande led Smith along while talking a good game.
Further, some fans noticed that Gravesande was spotted in photos with adult performer Willow Ryde, but it isn’t clear what the timeline is nor has Ryder confirmed or denied linking with Gravesande. However, Ryder did share an X reply from a fan praising her, ahem, “game tape” alongside images of her with Gravesande that were sexually suggestive.
Gravesande’s mother also joined the chorus of those online who do not approve of his actions with a scathing Instagram Stories post we’ve shared in the gallery of replies below.
As it stands. Clay Gravesande is getting a classic Black Xitter dragging for popping out with Celina Powell. Check out the replies from X below.
