Few industries are as inextricably linked as music and fashion. Couple all this with the artists who have formally entered the fashion […]

Quavo made his mark as a rapper as part of the Migos collective and also as an in-demand soloist. The Atlanta rapper was on hand to assist in the debut of 1989 STUDIO’s FW24 collection with designs from the talented Chaz Jordan.
1989 STUDIO, founded by Chaz Jordan, is a luxury lifestyle founded in 2021 in Los Angeles informed by the Chicago native’s design education in Paris, France.

Earlier this week, Quavo joined the festivities during Milan Fashion Week for the unveiling of a new brand showroom that highlights Jordan’s FW24 designs.

From the images of the event, fans of luxury fashion and journalists were on hand to capture the event in full with Quavo hitting the stage and making the rounds in a full 1989 STUDIO fit.
1989 STUDIO’s latest drop takes the already stellar work from Jordan and his team while introducing new silhouettes and design styles, including denim adorned with a three-dimensional pattern.
The new showroom will also serve as an office space and design studio for Jordan along with its aforementioned showroom designation. As of now, those who wish to see new 1989 STUDIO pieces can do so via appointment.
“To coincide with the opening of our new space, the goal this FW24 season was to emphasize quality and precision through simplicity. This shared ethos can be seen in the architecture and material choices throughout our design studio as well as in the collection. The new space serves as the perfect backdrop and supporting character for a collection that expresses its sophistication and silent opulence in the smallest of details,” said brand founder and designer, Chaz Jordan.

Quavo surprised attendees with a special performance and plenty of photo ops. Check out the images below.

To complete the look and add a pop of color, the “Levitating” singer painted her nails red and held a heart-shaped red purse. She kept her hair sleek and straight, along with a simple smokey eye for makeup to let the dress do all the talking.

Lipa’s style never goes unnoticed, and last month, the star was announced to be one of four 2023 co-chairs for the prestigious Met Gala, which comes around every first Monday in May. Joining the pop star as fellow co-chairs are Penélope Cruz, Michaela Coel and Roger Federer, a lineup that spans “every realm of popular culture,” according to Vogue. The four of them will assist Anna Wintour in planning a night based around this year’s theme — Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty — which pays tribute to the late German fashion designer.

Following the pop superstar’s appearance at GCDS’ fashion show, fans on Twitter went wild for Lipa’s sheer, lacy look. See some fan reactions below.

Machine Gun Kelly is one of Hip-Hop’s most eclectic figures. The “Bad Things” rapper/actor is working to become a fashion icon. But this week, MGK lashed out at critics of his eclectic style.

The clapback came after MGK shared a picture rocking a shiny silver suit with silver accessories, and David Bowie-inspired silver eye makeup for Fashion Week. He captioned the photo, “i call this: if jules from euphoria went to milan.”

The picture garnered mixed comments with some fans supporting, while others remembered the rapper’s former fashion flow.

“Lace up Mgk would have neverrrr worn makeup .. smh i get high fashion but u dont need eyeshadow on mannn,” one fan wrote, while another added, “Nah this ain’t fashion.”
The Cleveland rapper replied on Twitter, writing, “you can’t comment about my style if you have none.”

Fans of the rapper fawned over the tweet praising his style.

He also carried the tweet over to Instagram where he advised haters to “keep your insecurities to yourself.”

Under the IG post some commenters weren’t as supportive as they were on Twitter. Per Page Six, some comments read: “Not a fan of your new style. Like the old MGK!!!” and another added, “Maybe it’s because all your day one fans have watched you transform into a techno vampire almost.”
Despite the fashion choices, MGK may be going back to some of his old ways when it comes to music. He is rumored to be releasing a rap album this year. Per NME, MGK told a podcast that he is going to make the album, “for no other reason, no point to prove, no chip on my shoulder. If I keep doing things to prove things to people, I’m going to one, drive myself crazy and two, not make a good product.”
MGK also recently released his semi-autobiographical movie, Taurus, which starred him as a drugged-out rap star and featured appearances by his real-life love Megan Fox and BMF star, Demetrius Flenory, Jr.
