It takes just one star to become a household name, but a truly talented lineage to make for a powerful family legacy. Such is the case for many of music’s biggest names, who have not only passed down their talents to their kids, but invited their offspring into the studio to record collaborations before they’re […]

Lenny Kravitz couldn’t be happier about his future son-in-law. While on the red carpet at the 2024 Palm Springs International Film Festival, the 59-year-old rocker gushed about his daughter, actress Zoë Kravitz, and her recently confirmed engagement to Channing Tatum.
“Hey man, that’s life,” he told Entertainment Tonight when asked about the engagement. “When your family is happy, when your child is happy, that’s it.”

“I’ve done well,” added the “It Ain’t Over ‘Til It’s Over” singer. “Blessed.”

Lenny’s comments come just a couple months after People reported that the couple, who have been dating since 2021, had wedding bells in their future. In October, Zoë and the Magic Mike star sported Halloween costumes inspired by Rosemary’s Baby, and fans were quick to notice what appeared to be an engagement ring on the Batman actress’ knife-wielding hand.

In December, she appeared at the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles with the same ring on her engagement finger.

“He makes me laugh and we both really love art and talking about art and the exploration of why we do what we do,” Zoë told GQ in a November 2022 cover story. “We love to watch a film and break it down and talk about it and challenge each other.”

Tatum and his wife of 10 years, Jenna Dewan, divorced in 2019.

Zoë’s rock star dad is fresh off the release of a number of projects at the tail end of 2023, most recently his “I Believe in Love Again” duet with Peggy Gou. Prior to that, he shared “Road to Freedom” for the Netflix film Rustin and “TK421,” for which he also shared a steamy music video.

“You all have truly made my year,” Lenny wrote on Instagram on New Year’s Eve. “Let’s put all of our love and positive energy into 2024 to make it better.”

Don’t worry, parents — even Jay-Z‘s daughter doesn’t think he’s cool. In a recent clip from his multi-part interview with Gayle King about his Book of Hov exhibit at the Brooklyn Public Library, the bestselling rapper and billionaire mogul admitted that Blue Ivy used to doubt his coolness levels.
“Blue, she be frontin’ on me a little bit,” Jay said of his 11-year-old, asked by King whether any of his kids think he’s cool. “But I catch her. I catch her in the corner, you know? Now she asks me, you know, if this is cool, if her sneakers [are cool]. She’s come back.”

“But there was a time where she was like, ‘Daaaad,’” he added, doing an impression of Blue’s voice while covering his face in mock embarrassment. “I’m like, ‘I’m cool. I don’t know what you sayin. At your house, your parents is cool.”

Blue Ivy is the oldest of Jay’s children with Beyoncé, with whom he also shares 6-year-old twins Rumi and Sir. As hundreds of thousands of fans across the world saw, the tween has definitely inherited her superstar parents’ stage ambitions; at certain Renaissance Tour shows, she joined Bey onstage to impress audiences with her “My Power” choreography.

Running through Dec. 4, Jay’s exhibit offers a free-of-charge, immersive look into his life and career, with artifacts and installations curated by the artist and Roc Nation. With King, the “Hard Knock Life” rapper discussed everything from his debut album Reasonable Doubt to the last song he played for Biggie — “Streets is Watching” from In My Lifetime, Vol. 1 — as well as his move to reclaim ownership of his master recordings ten years ago, which he calls “the fight of my life.”

After working so hard to own his music, Jay-Z insisted he’ll never sell his masters — but if Blue Ivy, Rumi or Sir decide to do so later on? That’s their prerogative, he told King.

Con-grad-ulations are in order for Cardi B‘s mini-me. In an adorable recent Instagram post, the “Up” rapper revealed that her almost five-year-old daughter with Offset, Kulture Kiari, is officially a Pre-K graduate. “My baby moving on up,” Cardi wrote Thursday (June 22), sharing several photos and videos from Kulture’s pre-school graduation ceremony. “I’m a emotional […]

John Legend and Chrissy Teigen just celebrated their first Valentine’s Day as a family of five. Almost exactly a month after the couple welcomed their third child, a baby girl named Esti, the “All of Me” singer shared an adorable family portrait on Instagram Wednesday (Feb. 15) in honor of the day of love.
In the photo, Legend wears a bright red sweater to match his oldest daughter, 6-year-old Luna, and 4-year-old son Miles, posing for the camera in front. Luna wears a festive headband with heart-shaped baubles, meanwhile Teigen stuns in a pink dress embellished with roses on the neckline.

And, in her arms, lies 1-month-old baby Esti, looking just a little sleepy in her heart-patterned blouse. “I had the best Valentine’s dates last night,” Legend captioned the post, adding a heart emoji for each member of his family.

The cookbook author also shared the photo in a carousel. “Excuse the spit up!!” she captioned her post, which features more images of her family. “we are doing the best we can over here lol.”

Little Esti was born exactly one month and one day before V-Day, on Jan. 13 — an occasion Legend first announced while performing at a private concert. Teigen later shared a photo of their new addition on Instagram, confirming the news and revealing their baby girl’s name.

“She’s here! Esti Maxine Stephens – the house is bustling and our family could not be happier,” the model wrote at the time. “Daddy sheds nightly tears of joy seeing Luna and Miles so full of love, and I am learning you still need diapers with a c section!? We are in bliss.”

Earlier this month, the Voice coach gave an update about how his first two kids are adjusting to being older siblings on The Jennifer Hudson Show. “We were worried ’cause they seemed a little jealous when Chrissy was pregnant, and I was worried that they wouldn’t be excited to welcome her home,” he said Feb. 9. “But they’ve exceeded our expectations of how loving and excited they are. They’re truly thrilled to be older siblings now.”

The Teigen-Legend clan is officially ready for the holidays. On Sunday (Dec. 18), Chrissy Teigen shared an adorable Christmas photo of her family of four — soon to be five! — on Instagram, featuring John Legend and their kids Luna and Miles.
In the photo, Legend, dressed as a Christmas tree, sits with six-year-old Luna in his lap. Four-year-old Miles sits at his dad’s feet, holding a Christmas cookie, meanwhile Teigen, decked out in full glam hair and makeup, red leggings, and a baby bump-revealing button-up holiday sweater, stands to their side.

The Cravings founder, who revealed in August that she was expecting Baby No. 3, also shared a photo of her two kids smiling with skates on, posing side by side on an ice rink. No words were needed to caption the festive photos, as Teigen simply left a trail of heart and Christmas tree emojis.

Based on a previous post, the photos were taken at a Christmas party hosted by Teigen in partnership with food brands POM Wonderful, Wonderful Seedless Lemons and Wonderful Pistachios. “Grandma’s night out!!” she wrote on Instagram. “But in bed by 10pm lol. So much good food and ugly sweaters last night.”

The party comes a few days after the famous family visited Santa and Mrs. Claus, a night captured in photos also posted to the model’s Instagram. With Teigen dressed in a Grinch-green pantsuit and Legend in a bright red ensemble, the two had stopped by the “North Pole” to promote Teigen’s Cravings baking mixes at Westfield Century City shopping center in Los Angeles.

The holiday fun doesn’t stop there, though; about a week ago, Teigen shared snaps of her and the kids making festive chocolate bark for Luna and Miles’ teachers. And a couple days before that, she and the “All of Me” singer stepped out to see a performance of The Nutcracker — before stepping right back in after Legend apparently threw up in the car on their way to the show.
