The happiest place on Earth for one family in distress happened to be a Disney cruise after the ship saved them from their sinking catamaran.
As reported by TMZ, a family of four was sailing more than 200 miles off the coast of Bermuda. Soon into the voyage their catamaran malfunctioned and started taking in water to which the married couple instantly released a distress signal. Luckily for them, their daughter and a cousin, The Disney Treasure, a new cruise liner, happened to be only 80 miles away. The ship deployed a lifeboat and the coast guard was able to rescue the four individuals without them suffering any injuries.
According to officials, the oldest person on the catamaran was 74 and the youngest was 24. A Disney Line representative gave further details on the incident to CBS News. “We are pleased that the Disney Treasure was able to provide aid to the boat passengers in peril. Our crew members worked together on the rescue, skillfully demonstrating their training and commitment to safety,” Disney Treasure Captain Marco Nogara said in an exclusive statement. The ship offers 1,256 staterooms and is scheduled to go on its maiden voyage to the Caribbean on Dec. 21.

Rob Schneider has spoken out following daughter Elle King’s revealing interview on the Dumb Blonde podcast earlier this week, during which she accused him of sending her to “fat camp,” forgetting her birthdays and being generally absent from her life as a child.
In a new clip posted by Tucker Carlson on Wednesday (Aug. 14), the Saturday Night Live alum issued a direct public apology to the “Ex’s & Oh’s” singer, whom he shares with former model London King, his ex-wife.
“It’s fun being a parent, isn’t it?” he quipped when the conservative commentator first broached the subject of Elle’s comments, before getting serious. “I want to tell my daughter, Elle, I love you. I wish I was the father in my 20s that you needed, and clearly, I wasn’t.”

“I hope you can forgive me for my shortcomings,” Schneider continued, staring directly into the camera. “I love you completely, I love you entirely. I just want you to be well and happy, you and your beautiful baby, Lucky. I wish you the best. I feel terrible, and I just want you to know that I don’t take anything you say personally.”
“All I want is for her to be happy and to heal from this,” the Hot Chick star added to Carlson.
The interview clip comes just two days after King told Bunnie XO on her Dumb Blonde podcast that she goes years at a time without speaking to her father, adding that she doesn’t like to be associated with him because “he’s just not nice.” “My dad called me and was like, ‘Don’t f—ing talk about me in the press,’” she added on the podcast. “I was like, ‘Get f—ed.’”
The singer-songwriter also emphasized that she doesn’t agree with Schneider’s controversial political views and recalled how she once “got in trouble” for not losing any weight while suffering from a sprained ankle. “I was a really, really heavy child, and my dad sent me to fat camp,” she continued. “My dad forgot every single birthday.”

Rihanna‘s youngest son Riot Rose crawled his way onto the superstar’s Instagram feed recently.
In a video posted on Sunday (Aug. 11), the one-year-old speedily crawls across the floor, pushing a miniature Target shopping cart in an adorable cameo during one of her Fenty promo posts. Rih is known for dressing Riot and 2-year-old RZA — her first-born son with partner A$AP Rocky — in trendy outfits. In this case, the baby boy’s diaper peeks out of a chic grey sweatsuit.
The “We Found Love” singer also shared a photo of her posing next to the cart filled with travel-size versions of her Fenty Beauty products. “more minis are on the way to @ultabeauty in @target,” she captioned the post.
The adorable announcement comes about a week after Rih attended the Crop Over Festival in her home country of Barbados, stunning the crowd in a bedazzled carnival outfit complete with multi-color feathered wings. Before that, she watched Manchester City’s match against AC Milan at Yankee Stadium and met star players Christian Pulisic, Jack Grealish and Yunus Musah. While there, one young fan snubbed her by asking her to take a photo of him with the soccer pros, seemingly not recognizing the billionaire nine-time Grammy winner right in front of him.

As some fans joked after a video of the interaction went viral, the fact that Rih hasn’t released an album in eight years could very well be the reason certain kids don’t know who she is anymore. The mogul herself previously addressed the matter in a hilarious message to GloRilla, a screenshot of which the “TGIF” rapper posted on Instagram in July: “I know dis wild hypothetical, but when the album drop?”
To date, Rihanna has been coy about a release date or vibe for her untitled ninth album, the follow-up to 2016 album Anti. In June, after fans got scared by a T-shirt she sported reading “I’m Retired,” the singer promised fans, “I’m not retired. I just like that dress. I got it as a gift and I loved it. They didn’t read the second line, I’m not retired, I’m just retired from dressing up — it’s a lot of effort.” She also noted at the time that she’s “starting over” when it comes to her music.
“But I don’t want to neglect the songs that I have, so I actually want to go back and listen to stuff with new ears, with my new perspective and then see what applies and what I’m still in love with,” she said.

Elle King and her dad, comedian/actor Rob Schneider, don’t exactly see eye to eye. On the latest episode of Bunnie XO’s Dumb Blonde podcast posted Monday (Aug. 12), the “Ex’s and Oh’s” musician didn’t hold back when discussing her challenging childhood, calling her father “toxic” and emphasizing that she doesn’t align with many of his controversial views.
When the topic of Schneider came up, the podcast host confessed that the Hot Chick star used to be one of her childhood crushes — but by the end of the discussion, Bunnie said that the fantasy was officially dead. That’s because King said that her dad was not often involved in her life, alleging that he forgot her birthdays and sent her to “fat camp” during childhood.
“I go four or five years without talking to my dad,” the singer-songwriter said. “My dad called me and was like, ‘Don’t f–king talk about me in the press.’ I was like, ‘Get f–ked.’”

“If I would ever spend a summer with my dad, it would be on a movie set … I’d just get lost in the shuffle,” she continued. “I was a really, really heavy child, and my dad sent me to fat camp. Then I got in trouble one year because I sprained my ankle and didn’t lose any weight — very toxic and silly. My dad forgot every single birthday,” King added. “I spent my 18th birthday in a summer school and they brought me cupcakes. I came home, and my dad forgot my birthday.”
When contacted for this story, Schneider’s reps declined to comment.
Schneider welcomed the four-time Grammy nominee with former model London King in 1989. Elle’s parents split up a year later, and she was raised by her mom. Elle adopted her mother’s maiden name for her stage moniker to distance herself from her father, whose help she told Bunnie she “never wanted” when breaking into the music industry. “He also didn’t have a very good reputation,” she noted. “I don’t want to be associated with him. He’s just not nice.”
“I disagree with a lot of the things he says,” Elle added of Schneider’s controversial conservative commentary. “You’re talking out your a–, and you’re talking s–t about drag and gay rights — get f–ked.”

Halle Bailey and DDG are formally introducing their son to the world, as well as the Italian coast. On Saturday (July 3), the couple shared their first photos of baby Halo’s face on Instagram, posing with the six-month-old in glamorous vacation shots in Europe.
In the snaps, the Little Mermaid star looks stunning in a glamorous bejeweled gown, the “Moonwalking In Calabasas” rapper wearing a matching shirt. The family stands on a dock that looks out onto miles of deep blue ocean, the smiling parents proudly holding up their baby boy.
“halo’s first time in italy 🤍🌊” Bailey captioned the post.

In the comments, Halle’s famous sister and bandmate Chloe Bailey wrote, “auntie’s baby!!! 😍😍😍”
The post marks fans’ first proper time seeing Halo’s face since the “In Your Hands” singer and DDG welcomed their first child together late last year. Halle announced his birth six days into January, sharing a photo of his tiny hand on Instagram and writing, “Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me, was bring me my son.”
In May, the vocalist shared a video of her son’s birth as well as clips of her first few weeks of motherhood in honor of her first Mother’s Day as a parent. In the reel, she holds her newborn while lying in her hospital bed, presumably just moments after welcoming her son, while another shot shows her boyfriend cradling the tiny baby boy.
“my first mother’s day,” she captioned the post. “the greatest love i’ve ever known.”
The star has also been open about the more complicated parts of becoming a mom. In April, she got candid about experiencing what she called “severe” postpartum depression after giving birth, revealing in a Snapchat video, “it’s hard for me to be separated from my baby for more than 30 minutes at a time before I start to kind of freak out.”
“When I look at him, I cry because of how special he is,” she’d added. “The only thing that’s been hard for me is feeling normal in my own body. I feel like a completely different person. When I look in the mirror, I just feel like I’m in a whole new body. Like, I don’t know who I am.”
Miley Cyrus is addressing the rumors about her family, specifically concerning her relationship with father Billy Ray.
On the latest episode of My Next Guest Needs No Introduction, which arrived Wednesday (June 12) on Netflix, David Letterman asked the “Flowers” singer point-blank: “There’s not estrangement here with your father — it’s just the way things are played?”
“Yeah,” she responded. “I think what is so beautiful is that my parents, they served their children. My parents served us and sacrificed so much for us. Anything we dreamed of, they made possible.
“I’m grateful for being able to watch him ahead of me,” Miley added of her dad. “He’s almost given me this map. And there’s a map of what to do and what not to do, and he’s guided me on both. … I also inherited the narcissism from my father.”

The Hannah Montana alum also spoke about the differences between her mother, Tish Cyrus, and her dad. The ex-couple was married for nearly 30 years before divorcing in 2022, and they share 30-year-old son Braison and 24-year-old daughter Noah in addition to Miley.
“My dad, as a creative and as an artist in the way that his brain works, has always made me feel safer in my own mind because we’re very similar in our ideas,” the “Wrecking Ball” artist said. “So I think a lot of his perspective on reality and on life, I’ve inherited from him, more so than the way that I was raised — which really, my mom raised me. Honestly, my mom is my hero.”
Miley’s comments seemingly put to rest rumors of a rift in the Cyrus clan stemming from Tish and Billy Ray’s split. Both parties have remarried since their 2022 separation; however, the 62-year-old “Achy Breaky Heart” singer filed to divorce 37-year-old singer-songwriter Firerose this week, seven months after tying the knot.
According to documents obtained by People earlier this week, Billy Ray cited “irreconcilable differences” and “inappropriate marital conduct” as the reasons for their split. He is also seeking an annulment on the grounds of fraud.
Days prior to the divorce news, Billy Ray made a heartfelt post gushing about Miley. “I’m incredibly proud of her,” he wrote, sharing a throwback photo of Miley as a toddler. “She’s a survivor and a true artist. She learned early on to love and appreciate the fans who make everything possible.”
My Next Guest Needs No Introduction With David Letterman, featuring Miley Cyrus, is streaming now on Netflix.
