As tensions between Young Thug and Gunna seem to have been renewed, DJ Akademiks shares details that potentially explain the situation better.
Since his release, Young Thug has made it clear to former collaborator and Atlanta rapper Gunna that the two aren’t cool, and DJ Akademiks has shed some light on what’s going on behind the scenes. The rapper shared his thoughts on Gunna in a post on X, formerly Twitter, writing: “Gunna stop acting like we friends on the internet. I don’t know you, my guy.” The post has since been deleted.

Akademiks took to X to share his perspective on Young Thug’s post in a thread. “I been told y’all.. Thug told Durk, Baby and a few other rappers that Gunna was no good while he was incarcerated… meaning.. it ain’t no way he can come back out and justify rockin’ wit Gunna when he told n—s not to rock wit Gunna when he was locked,” he wrote.

I been told yall.. Thug told durk baby and a few other rappers that Gunna was no good while he was incarcerated… meaning.. it aint no way he can come back out and justify rockin wit gunna when he told niggas not to rock wit gunna when he was locked.
— DJ Akademiks (@Akademiks) November 9, 2024

“Thug originally wanted to Drop on Gunna release date and was gonna have Baby and Durk as features,” DJ Akademiks continued. “Those features didn’t end up on his project but he literally sent the message to them saying ‘I Don’t Fk w that f–k n—a.. and I wanna drop on his date’ … he also didn’t drop on his date.”

— DJ Akademiks (@Akademiks) November 9, 2024

Lastly, the media personality closed out with this thought: “Thug had to carve out communicating w/ Gunna in the plea deal because there is biz still to be done. He has Gunna in contracts that aren’t completed. If he was barred from having any communication with Gunna.. that would have gave Gunna a legal out in trying to get out the deal.”

Gunna hasn’t publicly made any comment on the now-deleted post by Young Thug. The explanation could make a lot of sense to those who’ve noted how Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Future, and 21 Savage have kept their distance from him. Young Thug is currently serving a lengthy probationary sentence after being released by Fulton County days ago. He’s been busy working on the community service element, speaking to Emory University students along with his lawyer, Brian Steel, recently.

DJ Akademiks got upset at the news of Kendrick Lamar performing at the 2025 Super Bowl, accusing Jay-Z of getting involved in the beef with Drake.

On Sunday (September 8), Kendrick Lamar announced that he would be the headline halftime performer at Super Bowl LIX. The news sent everyone into a frenzy and made DJ Akademiks highly upset. He then leveled accusations at Jay-Z for deliberately picking Lamar to stoke the beef between him and Drake further.  The social media announcement came before kickoff began on the first full day of the NFL’s 2024-2025 season, with Lamar saying: “You know you only get one chance to win the championship, right? Ain’t no round twos.” Many saw it as a reference to Drake’s subliminal message in a recent post where he claimed, “He will win game two.”

DJ Akademiks wasn’t thrilled and began to issue a series of posts on X, formerly Twitter expressing his anger. “The NFL just gave Kendrick Lamar a global “Pop Out” show… Jay Z I see u n–guh… u ain’t low…”, he wrote, referencing the torrid beef between the Compton rapper and Drake that dominated the spring and summer culminating in several tracks including “Not Like Us”. He followed that up with another post directed at the Roc Nation founder: “Jay-Z and Roc Nation responsible for curating the Super Bowl halftime show… remember that.”

The podcast host continued to vent, writing in another post: “Drake and J.Cole rapped ‘Big As the What.. Big As the Super Bowl’ And Jay-Z just made Kendrick Lamar the headliner of the Super Bowl. Nah n—-a dis s—t is wild … this s—t crazy.”

DJ Akademiks also called Jay Z a “legendary hater” for the Mr. Morale and The Big Steppers rapper being chosen to headline over New Orleans native Lil Wayne. The controversial media personality also referenced the former beef between Jay Z and Drake in an Instagram post. “Jay-Z set up the play. Drake … Jay ain’t forget bout that “Charged Up” verse n—-a. He the higher-ups,” he wrote with a tears streaming emoji.
Super Bowl 59 will take place on February 9, 2025, with Roc Nation and Jesse Collins co-producing the show sponsored by Apple Music. “Rap music is still the most impactful genre to date. And I’ll be there to remind the world why. They got the right one,” Lamar said in the press release.

Earlier this week DJ Akademiks found himself in some legal hot water when his ex-girlfriend sued him for rape and defamation and though he’s vowed to his fans that he’d fight the case to the bitter end in what he’s calling a “shakedown,” the Hip-Hop personality shouldn’t count on much support from one, Saucy Santana.

It wasn’t that long ago when DJ Akademiks and Saucy Santana were involved in a very public back-and-forth and though things have died down since then, Santana reemerged to take some shots at Ak as he deals with this latest legal headache. Taking to Instagram stories to roast Akademiks for the accusations made against him, an animated Santana seemed to enjoy pointing out that Akademiks reveled in the allegations made about Yung Miami in P. Diddy’s lawsuit but asked fans to dismiss the accusations made towards him.

“6ix9ine freaky b*tch! Nasty tail! And what would make you think we believe that it’s fake lawyers? What would make you think we believe that these is fake headlines? But when it was Caresha b*tch, the word was bond. It was no m*thaf*cking way! Pink cocaine and all this other weird ass sh*t, but b*tch we supposed to believe that shorty lying on you? I don’t think so. Not gon’ happen. Midget d*ck bitch! Sitting down all m*thaf*cking day. You just smell like sat! Sat! Been sitting in that m*thaf*cking seat!”

You can tell Saucy Santana’s been waiting for a reason to once again clap at Akademiks and we ain’t mad cause it was pretty funny. Just sayin.’
Earlier this week DJ Akademiks ex-girlfriend Ziya Abashe filed a lawsuit against Akademiks alleging that he and two of his friends drugged and raped her after he invited her to his home in July of 2022. Naturally Akademiks proclaimed his innocence and promised he’d pay as much money as needed to clear his name in a court of law instead of paying Abashe to settle as he’s called this suit a “shakedown.”
Now that Saucy Santana’s gotten in on the clowning of Akademiks once again, will he respond and reheat the beef the two had just last year or will he refuse to entertain the drama? Guess we’ll have to wait and see.

What do y’all think of Saucy Santana cutting ass on DJ Akademiks over his rape lawsuit? Let us know in the comments section below.

On Tuesday, May 14, social media erupted when it was reported that DJ Akademiks had been hit with a rape and defamation lawsuit by his ex-girlfriend, Fauziya Abashe, who accused the social media personality and two of his friends of drugging and raping her.

Though Akademiks remained mum throughout most of the day, he finally took to his channel and addressed the situation. “Whatever this is it will be handled in the court room.” Proclaiming his innocence while calling the lawsuit a “civil situation” and added, “It’s a shakedown. This is a money tree situation.” DJ Akademiks didn’t seem too worried about the outcome of this lawsuit as he’s basically addressed it in the past on his channel.

He also brought up the fact that when the alleged incident occurred, he gave the security footage to the police who then decided that there was no evidence of wrongdoing.
“I’m not even hiding and ducking from a situation or ducking from the narrative that happened. I pretty much told everything, and also I told the truth,” he said. “The police came, they looked, we gave them everything. Pretty much everything is documented, caught on videotape. They got to see it with their own two eyes. We’re officially clear, we could not bring any criminal charges. [I] are not criminally liable but also anybody else in the situation was also cleared.”
He also brought up the fact that Abashe hired Tyrone Blackburn, who Akademiks had been talking about since he brought a lawsuit against P. Diddy on behalf of Lil Rod. Feeling that Blackburn had it in for him, Akademiks feels this is just more proof that the entire lawsuit is just one big money grab as they’ve been sitting on this case for months before finally pulling the trigger.
Regardless of who y’all think is telling the truth here, one thing’s for sure, DJ Akademiks doesn’t seem fazed by the lawsuit and says he’d rather pay more to clear his name than to make the case go away as it would make him seem guilty.
Check out his response to the rape allegations, and let us know your thoughts on it in the comments section below.

Media personality DJ Akademiks has been sued for rape, sexual assault and defamation by his alleged ex-girlfriend. Fauziya Abashec claims she was raped by two men and Akademiks, born Livingston Allen, in his home in 2022.
Rolling Stone initially reported about the lawsuit, and the detailed claims it contains are heinous. Abashec aka “Ziya” alleged that she dated that media personality after meeting him in 2001. But in 2002, after what she says was about a year of not seeing him, he allegedly invited her over to his home.
But while she expected just Akademiks, she was met by two as yet unnamed men. She claims the men drugged and raped her on Akademiks’ pool deck. She also claims that sometime during the night, Akademiks sexually assaulted her, too.
Reports Rolling Stone:
Abashe says the drugs “impacted her memory and caused her to lose consciousness,” according to the suit. She claims she was later woken up at around 4 a.m. (July 17, 2022) in a bedroom by Allen, who was “pulling her hair, prying open her legs, and brutally raping her,” she claims. Abashe accuses Allen of penetrating her anally and vaginally and says she was “begging” him to stop and “crying for most of this assault but losing her ability to move physically.”
The following day, according to the lawsuit, Abashe asked Allen for details about what happened the previous night. He allegedly showed her a trashcan that contained two condom wrappers, which suggested to Abashe that, after the alleged pool deck attack, the two John Does had “taken her into another room in the house and continued to rape her brutally.” Abashe also claimed that Allen showed her surveillance footage of the alleged pool deck attack.
“According to Ms. Abashe, as she watched the video, she looked like she was just lying there lifeless, which did not sit right with her,” the suit reads.
Abashe claims she has text messages that support her story.
The victim also reportedly contacted the police, who suggest she go to the hospital for a rape kit. Reportedly, traces of Akademiks’ sperm was found after testing. Then, Ziya allegedly managed to get Akademiks to allegedly admit to the assault via a story that reads straight out of an episode of Law & Order: SVU.
Reports Rolling Stone:
After contacting her lawyer for advice, Abashe went to the police. The authorities first told her to visit a hospital for a rape kit, which she did; the kit purportedly led to the discovery of traces of Allen’s sperm, she claims. Abashe then spoke with the authorities in person and photographs were taken of bruises on Abashe’s arm, back, buttocks, and legs.
Abashe also sat for a “recorded wire call” with Allen, during which, she claimed, Allen “graphically recount[ed] and admit[ed] to having sexual intercourse” with her, “even going so far as to describe her vagina.”
This led the cops to obtain a warrant for the surveillance footage and other evidence. Abashe later claimed that Allen “disposed of several items (bed sheets, etc.) at the dumpster near his office. Presumably, Mr. Allen was attempting to destroy the evidence of Ms. Abashe’s rape.”
However, Ziya chose not to go to the police. Instead, she decided to pursue the lawsuit after partial details of the incident made it onto social media in late 2023. In a video called Story time with Ak! DJ Akademiks exposes his Ex Chey & speaks on her trying to ruin his Image!, Akademiks said, “She was getting trained by my two mens on my pool deck.” Ziya maintains she defamed before Akademiks was aware that she had no recollection of what happened yet he asserted that he didn’t know she was assaulted, allegedly.
That video, where Ak starts detailing the cops raiding home (see below), is still up and is surely evidence now. So far, DJ Akademiks has not commented on the lawsuit. Check out some of the reactions on Xitter to these allegations in the gallery.

Meek Mill and DJ Akademiks have had their issues in the past and this week, the beef has officially been reignited. Via X, Meek Mill unleashed a barrage of insults aimed at DJ Akademiks, calling the popular media figure a “rapist type couch potato.”
Meek Mill, 37, went on one of his familiar rants on X, formerly Twitter, and among the replies, DJ Akademiks was a target.

“They all post bad about me because I don’t pay non of them that’s why they have Akademiks a rapist type couch [potato] controlling the narrative on the biggest battles to keep track,” Mill wrote on Monday (May 13), and has since deleted. “I been told him stop posting me they business flow when they speak only on the culture!”

Ak replied as he’s known to do via X, writing, “Can someone tell washed up ass Meek Mill to hang it up… you making the same mistake u did in 2015 bozo… stop tweeting. go make a track dummy. Mans mad his career got killed by a singing n*gga.. a blogging n*gga and cuz of a lawsuit. U blocked me weirdo stop talking bout me.”
Mill shifted his tone on X after deleting the above words but it could be assumed he was still shooting at Ak when he wrote the replies.
“Yall getting paid by white folk to destroy and tear down your own kind… this why as blacks we don’t own anything like the other races! They trained “n*ggers” to hate each other!” Meek wrote.
Meek also had some words regarding the beef between King Combs, the son of Sean “Diddy” Combs” and 50 Cent, which he also seemingly deleted.

Donald Trump Jr. sat down with DJ Akademiks for a lengthy interview where Diddy and his life with Kim Porter became a hot topic.
On Wednesday (April 17), DJ Akademiks conducted one of his more eyebrow-raising interviews to date, sitting down with Donald Trump Jr. to talk about some of the more pressing topics of the moment. The interview was filmed at the Mar-a-Lago estate of former President Donald Trump. During the conversation, the embattled mogul Diddy came up, with the two discussing the recent federal raids on his properties, leading Trump Jr. to remember his ex-wife, Vanessa Kay, and her friendship with the late Kim Porter calling the latter’s death suspicious.

Trump Jr. spoke of how Kay reached out to him in 2018 shortly after Porter passed away and how she expressed being highly “afraid” of Diddy based on what the former model told her. “My ex-wife was a model in NY, and she was really good friends with Kim Porter, who was Diddy’s wife, the one who died at 47 from ‘pneumonia,’” he told the media personality. “When [Kim died], she called me…like, ‘Something is up with that.’ I said, ‘What do you mean?’ She said, ‘Kim used to tell me it was a bad—there was a lot of bad sh*t.’
He continued: “I didn’t even know but [Kim and Vanessa] would do photoshoots together, they were friendly. We would hang out when we see them downtown. Not so much with Diddy [but] she was really afraid of him, this goes back years, and [Kim] was having these conversations with my ex.” Trump Jr. would then go on to detail how Kay stated that Porter “always lived in fear of something happening,” insinuating repeatedly that her death wasn’t natural claiming that not many people her age “die from pneumonia.”
The then-47-year-old Porter passed away in her sleep in 2018 due to lobar pneumonia, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s office. They also reported at the time that she had complained of a sore throat for weeks, with the illness causing her to have a 102-degree temperature. It had dropped to 96 when she was found unresponsive in her home after going to bed. She and Diddy share three children – Christian, and twin daughters D’Lila Star and Jessie James.

It’s 2024, and Meek Mill and DJ Akademiks are still beefing. The Philadelphia rapper and the pro-level online troll, respectively, are currently going back and forth on X, so of course social media users are taking in all the mess.
Not that it really matters at this point, but the brouhaha this go around seems to have started when Akademiks took to his Twitch to throw shots at Meek over the latest Diddy lawsuit. The suit claims that Diddy relayed to Lil Rod that he had sexual relations with Meek Mill—which for the record is totally unsubstantiated.

Of course, Meek caught wind. “The way you niggas coming on the sick now… I can’t wait to meet akademiks lol they know I drop tomar this they damage control this net getting too weird,” he tweeted in response to the clip of Ak setting the bait.

Then he eventually threatened Ak with the proper fade, kind of.
“Akademiks didn’t I tell you stop playing with my name… idk what ima do when I actually see you! It’s gonna have a combination to it tho!,” he tweeted (we’re never going to type or say x’d).

To this, and with Meek having engaged and thus falling into the trap, Akademiks responded in kind with the usual clown a rapper tropes involving being dropped from your label, allegedly, and plenty of homophobia. He’s also standing by the “Why are you mad at me when it’s the lawsuit that said you’re gay?” plea.

The blatant toxic masculity and homophobia is the nastiest of work. So of course all angles from the X app are chiming in; good, bad and extra ugly. See for yourself in the gallery, for archival purposes.

4. Andrew Tate?

Meek catching hell from all angles.

6. What Ye got to do with this exactly?

7. It’s 2024, be you.

One of Rap’s most polarizing personalities will have to clear his name yet again. DJ Akademiks’ ex-girlfriend is making claims of domestic abuse and more.

Madame Noire is reporting that a former female friend of the content creator has made some very damning accusations. On Wednesday, January 31. a woman named Cheyenne took to social media seeking to expose the man born Livingston Allen. In screenshots posted by It’s Onsite the woman shared photographs of her covering up bruises under her eye with a combination of concealer and foundation.

“Never had to wear this much makeup until I met him” she wrote. Cheyenne went on to state that this supposed incident took place a day before they left for a trip to London.
But wait it gets worse; she also says that DJ Akademiks needs to get his hygiene in order. This fat lard keeps threatening me. “You smell like tartar sauce & don’t bathe for 5 days. Leave me alone please it’s over.” Cheyenne also shared screenshots of what seems to be a text conversation where the podcaster persisted on talking to her even though she makes it clear she “doesn’t want to talk anymore.”

DJ Akademiks has yet to comment on the matter. Back in 2022, he got into a physical altercation with a woman. In December of 2023 he was accused by a woman named Ziya Abashe of sexual assault and rape which he has since denied.

Yung Miami and Armon Wiggins got into a wild back-and-forth on social media which caught the attention of DJ Akademiks. What has ensued is quite a bit of mess and we’ve got details down below.
From what we learned on X, formerly Twitter, Armon Wiggins, a popular YouTube and social media personality, shared a clip of DJ Akademiks slamming Yung Miami by calling her music career and other endeavors a failure which prompted a response from the City Girls rapper.

From there, things escalated after Wiggins fired back at YM’s money jab, which then prompted Big Ak to go even harder with his long-running disdain of the Florida rapper.
“Failed? LMAOOOOO I got more money than both of yall. Made a million in 15 days off a card game! Got all yall crying both a podcast when I was just trying some sh*t what exactly do yall do besides reporting bout B*TCHES ALL DAY??” YM wrote in her initial salvo.
Akademiks replied with, “Don’t let her talk that money talk wit u. N*gga why she ain’t get on that wit me when I was violating. N*gga only way on earth she got more bread than BIG AK is if she got it by selling that 30 year old P*SSY to PUFF DADDY. A whole billionaire.”
YM and Wiggins continued their intense argument and it appears the pair have crossed paths before.
“I saw you in person you was on MUTE REMEMBER????” YM said to Wiggins, who fired back with, “No I don’t remember that. I remember YOU being RUDE acting as if you had a STICK up your a$$. Remember I OFFERED you a seat! You know RIGHT before you got PUT OUT of Yo Gotti section remember? AND LETS BE CLEAR! I AM THE REASON YOU & EVERYONE you CAME WITH was AT THE BEYONCE CONCERT! ..I SIGNED OFF ON THAT SWEETIE..Remember you couldn’t even get tickets in your OWN CITY.”

Ak, who doesn’t know the meaning of subtlety, was relentless in his attack on YM despite most of the timeline slamming him for keeping things going.

Yeah, it’s all very messy and the reactions from X are all over the place. Of course, Yung Miami being linked with Sean “Diddy” Combs amid the mogul’s recent troubles gets mentioned, but YM fires back at Armon Wiggins and DJ Akademiks, the latter of which YM shares a timeline of questionable comments and actions from the streaming personality.
Check out the reactions below.
