Halle Bailey had to retract her initial reaction to her baby daddy, DDG, appearing on a Kai Cenat stream with their son.
Singer/actress Halle Bailey now admits she may have overreacted when she expressed her feelings about DDG bringing their son, Halo, on a Kai Cenat stream on Wednesday, Nov.6, without her knowledge.

In a post on X, formerly Twitter, The Little Mermaid star wrote on Thursday, “yesterday maybe i did overreact and shouldn’t have brought it here. i know that Halo is always safe with his dad. i just don’t like finding out with the rest of the world what my baby is doing. thank u kai for the gifts for Halo.”
Her latest comments contrast sharply with her initial reaction, which she wrote in a now-deleted tweet that she was “extremely upset” after DDG and their son made an appearance during Cenat’s stream, describing it as “unapproved.”
Bailey said in the now-deleted tweet that she was not happy about her baby daddy putting their nearly one-year-old child in front of millions of people.
“Hi everyone. Just so you know I am out of town and I don’t approve of my baby being on a stream tonight. I wasn’t told or notified and I am extremely upset to have my baby in front of millions of people. I am his mother and protector and saddened I wasn’t notified especially when I am out of town,” Bailey wrote.
Essence reports that in another deleted tweet, Bailey revealed she is experiencing “severe postpartum,” adding, “There are boundaries that I wish to be respected. No one knows what someone is going through until they snap.”
As Expected, Social Media Has Plenty of Thoughts On The Matter
As expected, footage from Halo’s “unapproved” appearance went viral, and social media had plenty of thoughts about Halle Bailey’s reaction to the moment.
Some understood why the first-time mom reacted in such a matter. One user on X wrote in defense of The Color Purple star, “yall really making a postpartum mother feel bad for being upset her baby’s father didn’t tell her he was putting her baby on a stream that just got swatted less than a week ago…… okay brah.”
While others were quick to remind her that she made a child with someone who i in the same line of work as Cenat. “Girl you know you had a baby with a streamer??,” another X user wrote.
We need to give Halle Bailey some grace based on what she is going through as a first-time mom.

Just 10 months after Halle Bailey and DDG welcomed their first child together, it looks like they’re going to be co-parenting their baby boy going forward. Reports are circulating that the once happy couple are going their separate ways.

According to TMZ, The Little Mermaid star and “Impatient” rapper are headed for Splitsville, but apparently it was an amicable breakup. Going the opposite route of say a Cardi B and Offset style of separation, DDG took to social media to announce the sudden turn of events and suggested that the two sat down like grown adults before coming to the sad decision. “After much reflection and heartfelt conversations, Halle and I have decided to go our separate ways,” DDG said. “This decision was not easy, but we believe it’s the best path forward for both of us.”

Not one to throw shots at his former beau turned baby mama, DDG added, “I cherish the time we’ve spent together and the love we’ve shared,” and “Despite the changes in our relationship, our love for each other remains deep and true. We are still best friends and adore each other.”
You have to love how they didn’t allow things to get messy in the public eye. At least not yet anyway.
While DDG has taken to social media to fill the world in on what’s going on in his personal life and how he feels, Halle Bailey has remained mum on the situation thus far. It might be a while before she opens up about their current situation.

Halle Bailey has officially introduced the world to her new little prince and father DDG is sharing behind-the-scenes footage.

According to the announcement made by the happy parents via Instagram, the two shared a photo of Bailey holding her new son’s hand  that features a little gold bracelet that reads, “Halo,” alongside the caption:

“Even though we’re a few days into the new year, the greatest thing that 2023 could have done for me was bring me my son,” Bailey captioned the photo. “Welcome to the world my Halo 🥰👼🏽 ✨the world is desperate to know you 😉🤣♥️.”

In addition, the new father posted a vlog on his YouTube channel that features some snippets of his newfound life as a dad. The new vlog entry gives fans a sneak peek at one of Halle’s 4K ultrasounds, along with some footage of him sweetly rubbing on his girlfriend’s growing bump on their baby moon in Bora Bora.
As previously reported on HHW, the couple first sparked dating rumors in January 2022, two months before going Instagram official. While Bailey is known for keeping her personal life private, including her pregnancy, DDG broke the news in April when he posted an ultrasound photo alongside the words, “Can’t wait to be your dad.”
In November, the “Angel” singer responded to a fan on Snapchat who said she had a “pregnancy nose” in a recent photo. Bailey shared a video, saying, “Listen, if I see one more person say something about my nose one more time, it’s going to be hell to pay.”
Bailey posted an Instagram story in December shouting out her “real supporters” for being  “respectful of women’s bodies.” She added, “Being under a microscope is not easy, but for the real ones who show unconditional love religiously, I appreciate you.”
DDG also gave insight as to why they chose to keep the pregnancy under wraps, saying:
“This is one of my biggest accomplishments and I wasn’t able to show it for real for real but it was for a better cause ’cause people weird,” DDG said. “People are way too much in my business, our business, at this point in time. So, definitely for the better and it made it a lot easier, bringing him into the world without a bunch of opinions.”
