R. Kelly will now have to answer to yet another shocking allegation. The R&B crooner’s daughter Buku Abi claims he abused her as well.
As spotted by Vulture, the disgraced singer is being accused of sexual misconduct by his own offspring. Last week, a new documentary premiered that spotlighted the journey of his first born. According to the TVEI Network, R. Kelly’s Karma: A Daughter’s Journey reveals “the traumatic impact of her father’s actions that exposes the heartbreaking secrets and betrayals within the family, reclaiming her voice and identity in the aftermath of his notorious scandals.” During the two-part project, Buku Abi, born Joanne Kelly, says the crooner molested her when she was 8 or 9 years old.
“For a long time, I didn’t even want to believe that it happened. I was too scared to tell anybody,” she explained. “I really feel like that one millisecond completely just changed my whole life and changed who I was as a person and changed the sparkle I had and the light I used to carry.” She went on reveal how the first incident occurred when R. Kelly was hosting a party and she decided to sleep in his office to be near her father. Late into the morning she says she woke up to him touching her inappropriately. “I just remember waking up to him touching me. And I didn’t know what to do, so I just kind of laid there and pretended to be [asleep],” she added.
According to paperwork obtained by WBEZ Chicago, her mother Andrea Kelly filed a report with local police back in 2009. The claim was found to be “unfounded” by Illinois Department of Children & Family Services department. “The DCFS caseworker/investigator … specifically and personally advised Jane Doe’s mother that despite the fact that [the caseworker] believed that the events occurred, she had no choice but to deem the matter unfounded based on the length of time between the events occurring and Jane Doe reporting the incident,” the documentation read.
Upon the documentary’s release, Buku Abi took to Instagram to detail why she decided to tell her story. “I did it for me, I did it for my son. I did it for my peace of mind,” she wrote. “I did it for the ones that love and know me but never understood me growing up. I did it to honor truth. I did it to look my biggest demon in the eyes and tell ‘em I’m done.”

Diddy is sharing his newest joy with the world. He has posted the first ever photo of his newborn baby on Instagram.
As per Page Six, the Bad Boy Entertainment mogul has made the official reveal for his newest daughter Love Combs. On Tuesday, Dec. 27 he took to social media and posted a visual of his newest addition to his family. The first photo featured her sitting in her car seat and the second shows the “Hello Good Morning” rapper holding her while she sleeps on his chest. The caption read “Baby Love 💖.”
This was not the first time Diddy has flaunted her. Last week he shared a holiday themed photo with him and all his children. Everyone was wearing striped pajamas and the Harlem, New York native sat in the middle holding Love Combs but her face was not visible. Earlier this month he announced her birth via Twitter. “I’m so blessed to welcome my baby girl Love Sean Combs to the world,” wrote Combs, who did not share the identity of the baby’s mother. “Mama Combs, Quincy, Justin, Christian, Chance, D’Lila, Jessie and myself all love you so much! God is the Greatest!” he wrote.
Naturally the news took the internet by storm and put the spotlight on his Shorty Wop, Yung Miami. In the most recent episode of Caresha Please, G Herbo asked her how she found out about the baby. “Did you know about that baby before October?” he said. The City Girl responded saying ”Yeah, I did, I think…when you’re dealing with somebody, communication is key. It wasn’t, like, a surprise to me.” You can see them discuss Love Combs below.

The R. Kelly story just got even more bizarre. Joycelyn Savage has allegedly given birth to her first child with the disgraced singer.
As reported by MadameNoire, the social media personality made a big announcement last week. On Thursday, Dec. 8 she gave birth to her daughter Ava Lee Kelly. On her Instagram post reveal she wrote “My baby girl Ava when you were born , my whole world shined so bright. I knew that it was no longer about me anymore it was about us . Though the world is cold , I promise to always protect you . I am so happy to be your mother & you bring me so much joy . 12.08.22 🎀💕”.
Earlier this year, Savage announced that she was pregnant with the “I Believe I Can Fly” singer’s child. Initially the Pied Piper’s lawyer, Jennifer Bonjean, dismissed the claims. “There is no truth to reports that Joy is releasing a tell-all memoir and she is certainly not pregnant with R Kelly’s child. People are just insane. Carry on,” she tweeted.
Jocelyn would go on to detail how the baby came to be in her book Love and Joy of Robert. “His lawyer didn’t know that prior to him going to jail, Robert and I were doing IVF because at the time I was told I couldn’t have a baby,” she wrote. “When he got sent to prison, we paused on it and I had them freeze my eggs until I was ready.”
To hear Savage tell it, Bonjean wanted her to abort the child. “Once his lawyer did find out, she wanted me to have an abortion because she didn’t feel that now was the time for me to have a child following the 30-year sentence” she explained. “Me and Robert wanted to have a child for a long time. He is very happy about it, his lawyer isn’t. Once I told her I was keeping my baby, she didn’t want me to announce but I wanted to share the news. I’ve always been there for him even before this new lawyer came into the picture.”
In recent R. Kelly news, his legal team confirmed that the I Admit It project was pieced together by thieves who allegedly stole a large chunk of his unreleased music. You can read about it here.
