Sad news coming out of the professional wrestling world as it’s being reported that iconic 90’s wrestling villain Sid Vicious has passed away at the young age of 63.
According to Yahoo, Gunnar Eudy revealed that his father, Sid Eudy a.k.a. Sid Vicious a.k.a Sycho Sid, had passed away “after battling cancer for several years.” Known for his impressive physical build at a 6′ 9″ height, Sid Vicious was considered one of the most entertaining characters and brutal wrestlers during the 1990’s when the likes of Hulk Hogan, Macho Man Randy Savage and The Undertaker reigned supreme.
Though he never experienced the popularity that the aforementioned wrestlers garnered throughout their career, Sid Vicious was one of the industry’s most well-known and respected wrestlers in his heyday and held both the WWF championship and the WCW world heavyweight championship twice in his career. A feat that not many other wrestlers can add to their autobiography.
Yahoo reports:
He performed mainly during the 1990s, when pro wrestling had a resurgence among mainstream audiences, headlining multiple pay-per-view shows for WWF and WCW, including WWF’s WrestleMania VIII and 13 in 1992 and 1997, respectively, as well as WCW’s Starrcade in 2000, according to the bio.Billed at 6 feet, 9 inches tall, he was physical as well as theatrical. Eudy’s WWE bio (WWF rebranded in 2002 after being challenged by the World Wildlife Fund) said he was a standout presence in a sport dominated by human spectacle.
“One of the most brutal Superstars to ever terrorize WWE, the sadistic Sid brought an intensity that few could ever hope to contain. Just ask the litany of ring legends who have incurred his wrath — a hit list that includes Shawn Michaels, Hulk Hogan, Bret ‘Hit Man’ Hart and many more,” the bio says.
He joined WCW in 1989 and was making a name for himself and dispatching foes in WWE by 1991, the company said in its obituary. He went on to win the WWE championship in 1996 and 1997 and became known as “The Master and Ruler of the World,” WWE said.
Fellow WWE legend and Hall of Famer, Booker T. took to X to pay respect to Sid Vicious and credited him for helping him get as far as he did in his own career saying, “Without Sid Vicious, I don’t think my brother and I would have made it to WCW.”

Sid Vicious is survived by his two sons Gunnar and Frank and daughter, Sabrina.

Uncle Luke feels like the ladies burning up the Hip-Hop charts owe him money because of his Supreme Court victory.
For those who don’t know, Luther Campbell, aka Uncle Luke of 2 Live Crew fame, took the fight to create raunchy rap music to the Supreme Court in the 90s, and he won.
Now, Campbell feels all the ladies in Hip-Hop currently churning out hits owe him some money because he feels it’s because of him that they can rap about suggestive themes and do the things they like to do on stage.
On Monday, Campbell hopped on Instagram Live to give a backhanded compliment to the ladies of Hip-Hop by pointing out they are running the genre while the men are slacking. At the same time, he demanded rappers like Megan Thee Stallion, Ice Spice, and Sexxy Red send him money.
“Male rap is on some bulls**t right now,” Campbell said during the Instagram Live. “I’m sorry. The females are winning. They’re doing everything that I did. I’m still waiting for these girls to send me a f**king check.”
“I need a check from Ice Spice, who turns her a** around and drops it like it’s hot,” Uncle Luke said. “I need a check from Sexyy Red — nah, Red [is] my friend… All the f**king girls, Megan Thee Stallion. Anybody that’s running around shaking their a**es, talking about p**sy and d**k on the record, y’all need to send me a check.”
He followed that up by saying they don’t need to give money, but they do have to pay him his respect, adding that Sexxy Red already gave him his props. “The girls don’t need to give me a check. They need to pay respect. The only one who has is sexy Red. That’s my girl,” he wrote on X.
Users On X Disagree With Uncle Luke
None of the women he has mentioned have responded to him, and understandably so because they are quite busy. Each of them is coming off or currently on a tour and promoting new music.
Fans are stepping up to the plate for them, calling out Uncle Luke for his comments.
“He wants y’all to forget he was on here takin shots at Janelle Monae for showing a nipple. It’s like he loses sleep when he sees BW owning their sexual agency,” one person X, formerly Twitter, wrote.
We can’t argue with that.
You can see more reactions to Uncle Luke’s strange comments in the gallery below.
1. Very true

Megan Thee Stallion continues to rack up accomplishments in her career. She can now cross VMA host off the list.
That’s right. The network announced on Thursday that Megan Thee Stallion will flex her hosting skills again when she hosts the 2024 MTV VMAs.
She follows Nicki Minaj, who hosted the 2023 and 2022 VMAs alongside LL Cool J and Jack Harlow, continuing the trend of artists hosting the big event.
This won’t be the first time Megan Thee Stallion has taken on hosting duties. The Houston artist has also hosted Saturday Night Live and co-hosted The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.
The news that Megan Thee Stallion would be hosting the VMAs came after the announcement of this year’s nominees. The leader of the Hot Girls earned five nominations, including Best Collaboration with GloRilla, whom she was just on tour with, and Best Hip Hop Video.
She took home the Best Hip Hop Video award in 2020 thanks to her hit “Savage” off her EP Suga, which her label at the time, 1501 Certified Entertainment, refused to acknowledge as an album, allowing her to fulfill her contractual obligation.
Thee Stallion took home her first VMA in 2019 in the Best Power Anthem category for her Nicki Minaj-assisted single “Hot Girl Summer,” back when everything was cool between the two Hip-Hop stars.
Megan Thee Stallion Is Having A Stellar 2024
Now, she is riding the success of her latest album, Megan, an 18-track album featuring other artists like Victoria Monét, GloRilla, UGK, Big KRIT, Kyle Richh, and Yuki Chiba.
Her latest single and visual, “Mamushi,” has become a viral sensation, generating over 150 million global streams and reaching No. 1 on Spotify’s Global Viral chart in Japan.
“Hiss,” her scathing diss record in which many believe Nicki Minaj caught a stray, became her third Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit.
Now, we are looking forward to the VMAs.

After calling out his fellow Fugees member in a lackluster diss record, Pras is now walking back those subpar bars thrown at Lauryn Hill.
The Fugees are widely regarded as one of the most iconic Hip-Hop groups of all time, they have also earned the reputation of being a hot a** mess, thanks in large part to the shenanigans going on, mainly Lauryn Hill’s pretentious behavior.
Pras had time for Lauryn Hill, dropping a diss record called “Bar Mitzfa” following the not-so-surprising news that The Fugees were canceling tour dates.
On the song, he chimed in on the frustration rapping, “Don’t blame me, blame her, she made the mess / Not another fucking penny is what I told ‘Clef.”
Now, in a new interview with Vulture, he is throwing cold water on the song, claiming it’s “not a diss track, but more of a family dispute.
“You’re family, you have internal disagreements, but it’s not going to be on a level where I’m dissing her — that doesn’t make any sense,” he said. “Artistically speaking, sometimes we say things because that’s how we express ourselves. This track is me speaking my truth. When I was writing the record, those lines just came out.”
He also acknowledged the fan’s frustration with Lauryn Hill, saying, “They are paying their hard-earned money to see you.”
In the same breath, he claims he is stunned to see Hill receiving so much backlash for her behavior.
“I’ve never seen this kind of fan reaction toward Lauryn Hill,” Pras said. “There is a rejection — ‘We help to pay your bill. Just like we should be happy you came, you should be happy we coming.’ This dynamic is a two-way street. It’s tough love. But this is not an indictment of her and her character. All people are complaining about is lateness.”
Pras Confirms Lauryn Hill’s Lateness Is An Issue
Like many, Pras also confirmed they are victims of Hill’s tardiness penchant.
“There’s obviously reservation,” he said. “We don’t even ask her if she’s gonna be on time anymore; we say, ‘How late is she going to be?’ It gets to a point that you say, is it even really all worth it?”
Ahead of Pras releasing the song, The Fugees announced tour date cancellations in the United States. To further kill whatever goodwill she had fans, Ms. Hill said the negative media coverage following previous show cancelations and her always showing up late were the reasons behind poor ticket sales.
Pras, who has legal issues to worry about, says he intends to be a part of the shows that will take place during the European leg of the tour.
We shall see.

With Nike having taken all kinds of fiscal losses in 2024, the Swoosh brand is planning on making 2025 a helluva year with their massive amounts of retro grails set to return all throughout the year. To ensure even more success, Nike is collaborating with a toy company to break into a whole new market no sneaker brand has touched, as of yet.
Nike officially announced they’ve entered into a new partnership with the LEGO Group (yes, LEGO) for help “creating new and exciting opportunities for kids and families worldwide” and hopefully release some LEGO bricks that turn into some of our favorite Nike sneakers (not the Panda Dunks though, respectufully).
In a press release for the surprising collab Nike explained why they’ve decided to go with LEGO Group for their latest venture and we’re not mad at it one bit.
“At the LEGO Group, we believe in the power of play to inspire and develop the builders of tomorrow,” said Alero Akuya, VP of Brand Development at the LEGO Group in a statement. “By combining the creativity of LEGO play with the energy and passion of sport we want to inspire new ways for kids to play and be creative. We are excited to partner with NIKE, Inc. on this journey and help reimagine how creative play and sport can unite. Together, we will create unique experiences that will engage and excite kids around the world, inspiring them to explore their imaginations.”
A special digital animation was created to promote the collab.
When we getting some LEGO Jordans to build at home though?
No word on when we’ll be getting some Nike x LEGO merchandise but best believe it’s going to be a hard copp whenever they decide to drop it like it’s hot.
What do y’all want from a Nike x LEGO collaboration? Let us know in the comments section below.

D.L. Hughley delivered remarks on the final night of the Democratic National Convention and used the angle of humor to show his support for Vice President Kamala Harris. During his appearance, D.L. Hughley threw a few jabs in the direction of Donald Trump, much to the approval of the attendees.
D.L. Hughley, who formerly had strong critiques of Vice President Kamala Harris, leaned into his comedic talent and didn’t waste time while setting up his larger point with jokes. He then apologized to Vice President Harris for his past views of her.
“I don’t blame Donald Trump for not wanting to debate Kamala,” Hughley said early in his remarks. “I’ve been married to a Black woman for 40 years and I ain’t won one debate. I’m 0-93,000.”
With the audience in line with his phrasing and jokes, Hughley began chipping away at Trump and his supporters attempting to question Harris’ Blackness.
“I guarantee you this, Kamala has been Black a lot longer than Trump has been a Republican,” Hughley said, sparking uproarious laughter. And the Trump haymakers didn’t end there. Hughley made mention of Trump’s polling numbers, a subject he touts as a mark of superiority, and then tied in Trump’s infamous 1973 racial discrimination lawsuit for failing to offer housing to Black New York residents.
“If he keeps sliding in the polls the way he is, the only thing to keep Kamala out of the White House is if he buys it and refuses to rent it to her,” Hughley said.
The crowd erupted in laughter.

Deadpool might be “Marvel Jesus” after “resurrecting” the MCU with Deadpool and Wolverine. Can he do the same for Wesley Snipes’ Blade movie franchise?
After Deadpool and Wolverine did what many expected it to at the box office, becoming the highest-grossing R-rated film of all time, Ryan Reynolds has been sharing moments from the cameo-filled goodbye to the Fox Marvel universe and giving props to each of the actors who helped him, Hugh Jackman and director Shawn Levy make history.
One person in particular, Reynolds, has been showering with praise, none other than Wesley Snipes, the original cinematic version of The Daywalker, Blade, aka “Marvel Daddy.”
In a post to his social media accounts, Reynolds echoed sentiments shared by many Marvel fans, who call for Snipes’ Blade to return.
Snipes has been credited with saving Marvel from bankruptcy with his hit 1998 Blade film, followed by 2002’s Blade II and 2004’s Blade: Trinity. The latter also starred Reynolds but was not as well received as the first two films, which allegedly led to some bad blood between the two actors.
So, you can imagine Snipes’ return as the human/vampire vamp hunter in Deadpool and Wolverine generated a lot of excitement, and Reynolds acknowledged that.
In an Instagram post, he called for “More Blade Please,” wanting Snipes’s version of Blade to get a sendoff akin to Hugh Jackman’s “Swan Song” in Logan.
“The reaction when @realwesleysnipes enters the movie is the most intense thing l’ve heard in a theater. People screaming with uninhibited joy and love is also the sound of a legacy. More Blade please. #DayWalker ***A Logan-style send off, specifically,” Reynolds wrote.
We can’t argue with that.
Can Ryan Reynolds Push Kevin Feige To Give Snipes’ Blade Another Movie?
We don’t know how much influence Ryan Reynolds has over Marvel Studios’ head, Kevin Feige, so it’s not certain that something like that will happen.
But he has a sound bargaining chip worth $1.029 billion. There is also that Blade reboot starring Mahershala Ali as the titular character currently stuck in “development hell.” Still, Feige insists that his studio is taking its time so they can deliver a good film.
Still, many fans feel like Ryan Reynolds; you can see those reactions in the gallery below.
1. E-Man with some ideas for a Wesley Snipes movie, Kevin Feige we you are listening
2. We hope not, because we want BOTH!
3. We all did.
4. No debate here.
5. Time is indeed a flat circle

Comedian Kenan Thomspon tore into Project 2025 with a skit at the Democratic National Convention highlighting its horrors.
On Wednesday (Aug. 21), the third night of the Democratic National Convention got a comedic boost with context as Saturday Night Live alum Kenan Thompson took the stage, carrying an oversized book under his arm, which he stated was a real document – Project 2025. “Y’all remember this big old book, from before?” he asked the crowd at the United Center, who burst into laughter. “You ever seen a document that can kill a small animal and democracy at the same time? Well, here it is,” he quipped.
“You know how when you download an app and there are hundreds of pages there that you don’t read, it’s just the terms and conditions, and you just click, agree, right?” Thompson said while slamming the book down on the lectern. “Well, these are the terms and conditions of a second Trump presidency. You vote for him. You vote for all of this. Let’s take a look.” He then engaged members of the public who appeared on screen behind him. After encountering technical difficulties with the first guest, he moved on to a woman named Becky who shared that she’s been married to her wife for eight years. “Oh, that’s amazing. Very, very cute,” Thompson replied. “But I have got some bad news for you on page 584, Project 2025 calls for the elimination of protections for LGBTQ+ Americans. Right back to the Stone Age, I’m afraid so.”
He moved on to the next guest, who shared that she was diabetic and thanked President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris for their work in cutting the price of insulin down to $35. “That is great,” said Thompson. “But! On page 465, Project 2025 calls for millions of people like yourself to pay more for prescription drugs like insulin. Why? Well I guess to help big pharma make more money to donate to Republican politicians, I assume.” Thompson then directed the crowd to look up the document on Harris’ campaign website.
Project 2025 has been under intense scrutiny since its online publication by the Heritage Foundation, thanks to Democrats along with other celebrities like Taraji P. Henson informing the public. Trump has denied any knowledge of Project 2025 via social media, but reports have tied numerous figures in his previous presidential administration to its creation.

Every election year, and in all the years in between election years for that matter, all we hear from the GOP is about how they’re the job-creating party and how terrible Democratic leadership has always been for the American economy.
Well, a funny thing happened during day three of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago on Wednesday: former President Bill Clinton pulled the rug from under what is arguably Republicans’ biggest lie excluding their “big lie” about the 2020 election being rigged against their MAGA messiah Donald Trump.
“You’re going to have a hard time believing this, but so help me, I triple-checked it,” Clinton said during his half-hour-long DNC speech. “Since the end of the Cold War in 1989, America has created about 51 million new jobs. I swear I checked this three times. Even I couldn’t believe it. What’s the score? Democrats 50, Republicans one.”
Now, I know what you’re thinking because I was thinking it too: “Oh, come on now, Billy Clint, there’s just no way those numbers are right.” Most of us aren’t actually gullible enough to believe Republicans are the white saviors of American jobs that they purport to be, Still, it’s difficult to believe the gap between Democrat-created new jobs and Republican-created new jobs is really that wide.
Fortunately, we don’t need to take Clinton’s word for it that he “triple-checked” his math on this, because the Washington Post and several other fact-checking sites have already done the homework for us and come with receipts.
“There have been six presidents since 1989, three from each party,” Phillip Bump, a fact-checker for the Post wrote. “Under the three Democrats — Clinton, Barack Obama and Joe Biden — there was a cumulative increase of 50 million more people working between the starts of their terms and the ends. Under the three Republicans — George H.W. Bush, George W. Bush and Donald Trump — the cumulative total was, in fact, only 1 million.”
(Don’t let Trump read that. He’ll get so flustered and angry that his butthole-shaped mouth will recede into his actual butthole.)
November is coming up fast, y’all. Go into that voting booth with the right information.
