In today’s episode of We Really Shouldn’t Even Bother With A 2025 Bingo Card, legendary sports broadcaster Stephen A. Smith (Yes, that Stephen A. Smith) appears to be considering a run for president in 2028.
After appearing at the National Association of Broadcasters convention in Las Vegas, during which the ESPN commentator spoke pretty extensively about the possibility of him running for president in four years, Smith took to X, posting, “Time to stop messing around. Life is great. Especially at ESPN/Disney. Hate the thought of being a politician. But sick of this mess. So I’m officially leaving all doors open.”
Now, when it comes to Smith, it’s often difficult to tell if he’s being serious or not. Like, come on, bro, there is no way you’re not just trolling America right now. There’s no conceivable world where a loud-mouthed hot-head who has no experience in governing and is really just a TV personality would be elected president of the United States. (I feel like I’m experiencing some major déjà vu right now — as if I had said something similar around 2016.)
But if the famed sports journalist, who recently signed a five-year, $100 million deal with ESPN, is simply pulling America’s leg and is not seriously considering a run for the White House, he hasn’t delivered the punchline yet, and, at any rate, there might actually be a significant number of Democratic voters who are actually entertaining the idea.

Smith’s name has come up in the aftermath of the Democrats‘ defeat. On The View last month, Smith was asked about polls that showed him among the contenders. “I make of it that citizens, particularly on the left, are desperate,” he said. He voted for Kamala Harris but has been critical of the Democratic Party, appearing on Fox news and shows like Real Time with Bill Maher. Smith also has attacked Donald Trump, lately over the president’s across-the-board tariffs.
Of course, regardless of what a few wayward polls might be saying, the fine folks on X have responded to the proposition of a Stephen A. Smith presidency with a resounding “Hell no!”

It’s been going rough for Boosie Badazz as of late, with the most recent situation occurring Monday (April 7) as he was involved in a significant car accident in Atlanta, Georgia. Video from a passerby was shared on social media where the accident occurred at the intersection of South Fulton and Mason Road in Union City.
The video shows a lime green and black BMW just outside of the intersection, with serious damage in the front and all of the doors open. Union City Police said to TMZ that the accident was caused by another car that ran through a red light, hitting the BMW. The “Wipe Me Down” rapper was in the passenger seat as initial reports claimed. Loren LaRosa of The Breakfast Club dispelled the report through her social media accounts, writing: “I just spoke to Boosie’s publicist who confirmed to me that… BOOSIE WASN’T HURT IN THE CAR ACCIDENT today that took place in Georgia,” adding that he was a passenger and went to the hospital mainly to make sure others in the car were okay.
Boosie Badazz is seen towards the end of the video talking with police hunched slightly in pain, as others attend to the driver who was on the ground outside of the car. “I’M GOOD. BANGED UP. BUT GOOD,” he wrote in a post on X, formerly Twitter, afterward using a prayer hand emoji adding “GOD GOT ME.” Another video shows him looking at then riding out in another vehicle. It’s another mishap for Boosie Badazz, who was recently in the news due to his announcement of a scholarship dedicated to the memory of Caleb Wilson. Wilson was a Southern University student who lost his life in a controversial hazing incident in March. The rapper announced the scholarship during his Boosie Bash festival held at the university, claiming it was in partnership with the HBCU’s Human Jukebox marching band, which Wilson was a part of. His family objected, saying they did not know about the proposed fund. Louisiana Attorney General Liz Murrill has threatened legal action.

Despite claiming he was proceeding with blanket tariffs on numerous countries, including our trading partners, Donald Trump has caved and is now calling for a 90-day pause on some of them following days of stock market turmoil.
The spin is currently on. His most staunch supporters call Trump’s blinking on his tariff threat “part of his plan,” or as he would say, the “art of the deal.”
Others describe Trump’s decision not to go through with his tariff stunt as caving, even though China is still on the hook for 125% tariffs. Some notable figures on Capitol Hill accuse Trump of something even more nefarious: market manipulation.
After a tumultuous week that saw trillions of dollars wiped out, everyone is now taking a step back and trying to figure out if, in fact, this was all part of Felon 47’s plan or if there was something else going on.

Before he caved, Trump told the regular Americans who have plenty to lose, along with billionaires who saw their bottom lines being affected, to “be cool” as his stupid tariffs came into play, instantly tanking the global market and turning the US economy on its head.
Literally minutes after the opening bell rang at the New York Stock Exchange, Trump hopped on his bullsh*t platform, Truth Social, telling his followers, “THIS IS A GREAT TIME TO BUY!!!”
Four hours later, Trump did an about-face, pausing and lowering tariffs for 90 days on most of the countries he threatened while increasing tariffs on China to an astounding 125%, and the markets recovered.
Social media rarely misses when spotting the jig and is calling what Trump did a reverse “pump and dump” scheme, accusing Orange Mussolini driving stock prices down, only to scoop them up before the prices rise.

Adam Schiff Is Not Buying What Donald Trump Is Selling
California Senator Adam Schiff is also suspicious and calling for an insider trading investigation. Schiff said that Trump “is creating giant market fluctuations with his on-again, off-again tariffs.”
He continued, “These constant gyrations in policy provide dangerous opportunities for insider trading. Who in the administration knew about Trump’s latest tariff flip flop ahead of time? Did anyone buy or sell stocks, and profit at the public’s expense? I’m writing to the White House — the public has a right to know.”
Speaking with reporters, Schiff said he wants the White House to answer the question of “Who is cashing in?”
He added, “There is all too much opportunity for people in the White House and administration to be into insider trading,” he said. “They won’t be able to hide it for good.”

It will be interesting to see how this plays out. We don’t have confidence that President Trump will be held responsible because Republicans lack a spine, but we do expect Democrats to make noise on this issue for a while.
Will the American people forgive and forget? Or will they hold Trump and his supporters responsible at the voting booth in the upcoming midterms?

Tragedy struck in the Dominican Republic this week after a popular nightclub saw its roof collapse, leaving at least 124 people dead and scores more injured. Among those hurt in the Jet Set nightclub roof collapse were two former MLB players and at least one U.S. citizen, according to still-developing reports.
NBC News reports that early Tuesday (April 8), the roof of the Jet Set in the Dominican Republic collapsed as attendees were at the venue to see a performance from merengue singer Rubby Pérez. Among the attendees were politicians, former professional athletes, and government officials.
Rubby Pérez was among those who perished as a result of the collapse. Also among those named who perished in the collapse were Octavio Dotel and Tony Enrique Blanco Cabrera, both of whom played in the United States for Major League Baseball. Nelsy Cruz, the governor of the Montecristi province, was also killed in the collapse.
“His energy, positivity, and zest for life were infectious to all who had the pleasure of knowing him,” Dotel’s agent, Dan Horwits, shared in a statement. “We pass along our thoughts and prayers to his entire family as well as everyone affected by the tragedy.”
As rescue efforts continue to persist, the number of those injured remains unknown but could number well over 150 as workers scramble to help survivors left under the roof. It isn’t known yet what caused the collapse, and officials say there is video of the incident that will be included in the investigation.

Set the morning of the accident and says that he’ll remain “strong” as the situation continues to unfold.

Adin Ross proudly did the ridiculous Trump dance while hanging with Felon 47 and sporting a MAGA hat. Now he’s crying because he’s losing money as the markets continue to nosedive due to Donald Trump’s abuse of tariffs.
Ross, a popular 23-year-old gamer and streamer, showed his love for Orange Mussolini before the election by giving him a gold Rolex watch, a MAGA-themed Tesla Cybertruck.
Now, Ross might want all the sh*t back because Trump’s tariffs are hitting Ross where it hurts, his bank account. Speaking with fellow lame DJ Akademiks, the dark room streamer Ross brought up the stock market, saying, “People are getting killed. Me too. We all are.”
Ross responded by telling Akademiks he lost “eight figures” in the stock market, with Akademiks replying, “Damn! You over here like, damn, Kamala, come back to me!”

Wackademiks is referring to former Vice President Kamala Harris, who Trump narrowly defeated in the 2024 presidential election. Ross wasn’t shy about his support for Donald Trump. She also warned Ross and many other Americans about the exact nonsense Trump is doing now with his tariffs.
Ross interviewed the then-Republican candidate for President, putting the orange menace on his incredibly large platform to push his nonsense.
Now, to see him and many others who bought in the MAGA jig crying about losing money is absolutely hilarious, and quite honestly, good for them.
No One Feels Sorry For Adin Ross
Social media has been clowning Ross for effectively f***ing around and finding out, and having the audacity to complain about what’s going on.
“Adin Ross the retard of the century endorsed Trump by bringing him on his stream AND VOTED FOR HIM and is surprised by trumps actions,” one post on X, formerly Twitter read.
Another user said on X, “I wish I could bathe in Dave Portnoy’s misery right now. I would luxuriate for hours. Adin Ross too. Their financial pain is like a cool breeze in August. They did this to America. They deserve to suffer. Sadly, the rest of us deserve better.”

This week the popular street wear brand unveiled their forthcoming Spring 2025 collection. Included are six graphic tops ranging in several colors. The clear standout though is the photograph t-shirt featuring the Boss Don. On the chest is a classic flick of Max B taken in Harlem on the same day he conducted his infamous interview with Come Up DVD. During the informal Q&A, Max B flexed a big stack of cash and started counting the money while reciting “She loves me, she loves me not, she loves me, she loves me not” to coincide with every bill passing his hands. On the back of the shirt is a handwritten message that reads “Max B for Supreme The Waviest Of All Time 2025 Oww!”
Born Charley Wingate, Max B gained national acclaim due to his association to Jim Jones. The two would engage in a bitter feud that would find Max leaving the Byrd Gang camp and publicly dissing Jim Jones. In 2009 Max B was sentenced to 75 years in prison for orchestrating a robbery which turned into the homicide of David Taylor. On Monday evening (April 7), the Supreme Court sided with President Donald Trump, granting an emergency request by the administration and overturning a lower court ruling, which had stopped deportation flights conducted under the Alien Enemies Act. The ruling came after a 5-4 decision, which saw Justice Amy Comey Barrett side with Justices Sonia Sotomayor, Ketanji Brown Jackson, and Elena Kagan in dissent.
In the decision, the Court wrote that the lawyers representing migrants who were deported to El Salvador should’ve filed their lawsuit in Texas, rather than Washington, D.C. The Trump administration used the Alien Enemies Act, first enacted in 1798, to deport over 100 Venezuelans it claimed were members of Tren de Aragua, a notorious street gang in that country. They argued that the powers of the act, which allows the president to detain or deport citizens of enemy nations, was applicable in this case. Federal Judge James E. Boasberg directed the administration to stop the deportation flights, particularly as the case of Kilmar Abrego Garcia came to light. Garcia, a Maryland man and legal resident since 2019, was among those deported on March 15.The Supreme Court’s opinion also called for all future potential cases for deportation go through due process in court: “AEA detainees must receive notice after the date of this order that they are subject to removal under the Act. The notice must be afforded within a reasonable time and in such a manner as will allow them to actually seek habeas relief in the proper venue before such removal occurs.”Trump crowed about the decision on his Truth Social media platform, writing: “The Supreme Court has upheld the Rule of Law in our Nation by allowing a President, whoever that may be, to be able to secure our Borders, and protect our families and our Country, itself. A GREAT DAY FOR JUSTICE IN AMERICA!” His glee was in contrast to the grave concern expressed by Justice Sotomayor, who wrote that “The Government’s conduct in this litigation poses an extraordinary threat to the rule of law. We, as a Nation and a court of law, should be better than this.” Justice Brown Jackson compared the case to the infamous Korematsu v. United States decision, which allowed for Japanese-Americans to be herded into internment camps during World War II. “But make no mistake: We are just as wrong now as we have been in the past, with similarly devastating consequences,” she wrote in the dissent.

“Retirements” in Rap have a history of not lasting very long, but this one nevertheless will up the anxiety of true Hip-Hop heads. North Carolina duo Little Brother have announced that their last tour, Curtain Call, will be its last, and that “their work as Little Brother is done.”
On Monday (April 7), current members Phonte and Big Pooh revealed they would be going on a final tour later this year called Curtain Call. LB told AllHipHop that despite tour being their last, they’re still on the best of terms.
“I wante [sic] to let people know, me and Phonte, we super good,” Pooh told AllHipHop. “We had a chance to reconcile, come back and, I believe, put Little Brother to bed the proper way. We was able to do it the right way and I believe that’s one of the things we both thought was important—not that when we knew when that day would be, but it was still important to have that moment and allow our fans to have that moment, too.”
Added Phonte, “We came back after a decade and got our first No. 1 record, we did our own movie, we did our own block party and regained control of our catalog. Our work is complete. Our mission as Little Brother is complete. Pooh and I were really able to not just rebuild but also cement our brotherhood. That was the most important. That was the God of it. Our work as Little Brother is done. Our lives as Phonte and Thomas will go on forever.”
When Little Brother first arrived to critical renown, they were a trio that included producer 9th Wonder. The group’s 2003 debut, The Listening, on indie label ABB Records, was not a commercial behemoth. But the critical acclaim the project received earned them a record deal with Atlantic Records, which dropped their sophomore album, The Minstrel Show, to more praise in 2005, yet it also lacked commercial success. With 9th Wonder basically departing the group as his highly sought production talents kept him busy, LB would drop Getback and Leftback in 2007 and 2010, respectively. It would be another 9 years before their latest album, May The Lord Watch, was released, with the consensus being LB was back in vintage but progressive form.
In late 2023, the group released the documentary May The Lord Watch: The Little Brother Story which chronicled the group’s creation and path in the industry that almost saw the ruin of their friendship before Pooh and Phonte were able to reconcile (9th Wonder did not participate in the doc).
The Curtain Call tour kicks off May 24 in Baltimore and will hit cities including Atlanta, Chicago and Los Angeles before closing out on the Rock The Bells cruise from October 27 – October 31.

Harriet Tubman stands as one of the most important figures of the abolitionist movement, and her role as a conductor on the Underground Railroad cemented her in history. As part of President Donald Trump’s sweeping executive order that seeks to rewrite history, information on Harriet Tubman was edited on the National Park Service’s website, but was later restored.
As observed by many online, the National Park Service removed information about the Underground Railroad, replacing language about the movement to free slaves from the southern states and taking down a photo and quote from Tubman.
“I was the conductor of the Underground Railroad for eight years, and I can say what most conductors can’t say — I never ran my train off the track and I never lost a passenger,” was the quote that appeared on the website segment under a photo of Tubman. According to a Washington Post report and other accounts, the photo was removed and then replaced with a smaller photo alongside white abolitionists.
The New York Times reports that the changes appeared to have happened back in February after President Trump’s sweeping order, which seeks to do away with DEI initiatives. With historians, educators, and readers all providing intense pushback on the deleting and editing of Tubman’s historic contributions from the NPS website, the segment was restored to its original state.
CNN followed up with the NPS and obtained a quote from an NPS spokesperson.“Changes to the Underground Railroad page on the National Park Service’s website were made without approval from NPS leadership nor Department leadership. The webpage was immediately restored to its original content,” the statement read.

Someone made the mistake of getting too close to Dylan Dilinjah.
Making The Band 2 cast member Dylan Dilinjah was pinched by law enforcement for assaulting a man in North Carolina, an arrest warrant obtained by TMZ revealed.
According to the warrant, Dilinja, born Dylan John, was apprehended by the police in connection to an alleged altercation that took place Thursday in Wake County.
The report claims that Dylan slapped a man named Joseph Galullo across the face twice. Police officers showed up shortly after to arrest the struggle rapper, charging him with assault.
Dilinjah was released after posting a $500 bond and is due in court on July 1.
This incident is the latest moment that Dylan Dilinjah has returned to the news. During a recent We Are Flatbush podcast interview, Dilinjah claimed that the Chappelle Show skit making fun of Making The Band 2, where he also mocked himself, ruined his “rap career.”
“Any time I send my music to DJs, they say, ‘Oh, that’s the n***a that Dave Chappelle made fun of. Nah, I’m good on that,’” said Dilinjah. “Not only that, but now, every promoter says, ‘Nah, we’re not booking him.’ So now I have a newborn, and the fridge is empty in 2005, and no one is calling me. Everyone is laughing.”
He continued, “At that time, no one picking up they phone.Not one label. You had to sign to a record label. And I called all of them direct. And they said, ‘I can’t help you.’ That joke took over. That joke burned [my career].”
Yeah, sure, whatever you say, bro.
