Nobody does denim like Beyoncé. The superstar hits the laundromat in a pair of skintight Levi’s 501 jeans for the brand’s “Reiimagine” campaign released on Monday (Sept. 30).
Inspired by “the legacy of Levi’s,” the campaign reimagines the classic 501 jeans as told in a “series of chapters” starring Beyoncé.
“My song ‘Levii’s Jeans’ celebrates what I believe is the ultimate Americana uniform — something we all wear with pride,” Beyoncé said in a statement. “I am honored to work with Levi’s to create quintessential American iconography. Denim-on-denim has often been seen through a male lens, so this reimagining campaign, which celebrates the iconic female perspective, is important to me. I look forward to exploring innovative ways for our visions to align in empowering women and honoring their strength.”

The first chapter, titled “Launderette,” is inspired by a 1985 Levi’s ad. In the commercial, Bey walks into a laundromat wearing ‘90s Women’s 501 Jeans ($98), an essentials Sport T-shirt and a denim cowboy hat. She opens the washing machine, throws in some diamonds — instead of laundry detergent, because she’s a glamorous girlie — before pulling off her jeans (revealing Levi’s undies) and throwing them in the washer. And of course, her Cowboy Carter track “Levii’s Jeans” plays throughout the commercial.
Emmy-winning cinematographer Marcell Rév brought the visual to life, while Levi’s commissioned photographer Mason Poole for the campaign imagery.
Beyoncé’s Levi’s campaign will expand across television, out-of-home advertising, digital, social media, print and brand activations in addition to exclusive products. To kick off the campaign, digital projections launched in San Francisco, Houston, Chicago, New York, Atlanta, Paris, London and Berlin on Monday.
“In collaboration with Beyoncé, we explore the power of reimagination through this campaign, helping us to connect with our fans in new ways and supporting the growth of our women’s business as the definitive denim lifestyle brand,” said Levi’s.

Randy Rainbow is back in his election era, and he’s using the music of pop superstar Taylor Swift to ridicule former president Donald Trump.
In a new parody video posted on Monday (Sept. 30), Rainbow created a “Donald’s Version” of Swift’s hit 1989 single “Blank Space,” switching up the lyrics to openly mock the Republican nominee’s latest statements in a divisive campaign for the White House.
Rainbow started off his new clip pretending to be the moderator at the presidential debate earlier in September, using clips of both Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris to underline his jabs at the former president. “Mister former fake president girl sir, you have been critical of your opponent’s immigration record. Would you care to elaborate by making up some crazy-a– bulls–t?” Rainbow asks in the introduction before replaying clips of Trump making the false claim that Haitian immigrants in Springfield, Ohio, were kidnapping and eating pets.
Launching into his song, Rainbow donned his best Taylor Swift drag and immediately went after Trump’s increasingly strange public comments at both his rallies and the Sept. 10 debate. “Pushin’ garbage, playin’ games/ Got more tall tales than bankruptcies,” Rainbow jabbed in his first verse. “Hey girl, you OK? Do you believe a word you say? Can’t believe a word you say, ’cause we’ve been tryna ditch you for damn near a decade.”
On the song’s choruses, though, Rainbow opted to sing directly to his audience, urging them to get to the polls on Nov. 5. “Soon it’s gonna be November, and we’re gonna get the final say/ Better get your act together, or he’s gonna take your rights away,” he sings. “Got our foreign rivals rooting, he’d be their Christmas gift/ ‘Cause he loves Kim Jong and Putin, but hates Taylor Swift!”
The pop singer made news shortly after the debate when she publicly endorsed Kamala Harris, stating that the vice president “fights for the rights and causes I believe need a warrior to champion them.” Swift also made it clear that she would not support Trump’s election bid, despite AI-generated photos (shared on social media by Trump) that claimed to show her lending him her support. “It really conjured up my fears around AI, and the dangers of spreading misinformation,” she wrote. “It brought me to the conclusion that I need to be very transparent about my actual plans for this election as a voter.”
Closing out his parody video, Rainbow dressed up as Swift in her endorsement post to deliver one final string of insults at the former president, calling him a “narcissistic weirdo,” a “low-IQ, hot-headed nutjob” and even an “orange fecal stain.” For his final punchline, Rainbow called up Swift’s classic lyric to taunt Trump: “He’s got a blank space, baby/ And it’s in his brain.”

Lana Del Rey wore a custom-designed dress for her wedding with Jeremy Dufrene, Billboard can confirm.
The dress Del Rey wore on her wedding day was “a custom CINQ gown made specifically for her,” designer Macye Wysner tells Billboard.
No further details were provided, out of respect for the singer’s privacy.
Both a music idol and a style icon, the artist born Elizabeth Grant is known for weaving American nostalgia into her songwriting and fashion aesthetic. Curiosity about what Lana Del Rey would wear as a bride set in when reports of her wedding ceremony in Des Allemandes, Louisiana, circulated, with paparazzi photos taken from a distance published by The Daily Mail.
People confirmed the entertainer tied the knot with airboat captain and swamp tour guide Jeremy Dufrene on the bayou on Sept. 26. At press time, Del Rey has not publicly commented on their relationship or the private Louisiana celebration.
In the low-resolution glimpse of Del Rey’s attire for the occasion, she appeared to wear a white or ivory gown with a romantic ruffle neckline, a fitted bodice and a full skirt. Her hair was styled over her shoulder in loose curls, fastened to the side with a powder blue ribbon.
The silhouette of her dress has a resemblance to that of The River gown by CINQ, which has a scalloped lace ruffle neckline and silk tulle skirt.
As Del Rey’s design from CINQ was custom, her gown might have been loosely inspired by The River — but it presumably featured elements personal to the bride.
Trending on Billboard
CINQ, with heirloom designs that combine vintage silhouettes and modern details, “was created for the bride that connects on an emotional level to her gown,” the Los Angeles-based bridal collection states on its website. “It’s not just the dress .. it’s a precious, fleeting moment in time.. it’s the feeling when she’s wearing it.. it’s the moment of reflection.”
Del Rey crossed paths with Dufrene in 2019 on one of his boat tours, which are known to feature alligator encounters, and the couple seemingly reconnected and began dating earlier this year. (As Del Rey sings on the sweet ballad “Margaret,” penned for Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley ahead of their 2023 wedding, “When you know, you know.”)
She hinted at a relationship when she tagged Dufrene as “my guy” in an Instagram post in May, before the pair were seen holding hands at U.K. festival Reading & Leeds in August. Earlier this month, Del Rey and Dufrene were photographed hand-in-hand attending Karen Elson and Lee Foster’s wedding at New York City’s Electric Lady Studios.
Following 2023’s Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd, the singer-songwriter is next expected to release an album titled Lasso. The project was first announced as a country record, but as she noted in an interview last month, “All my albums are somewhat rooted in Americana.” She said of Lasso, “I don’t think it will be a heavy departure.”
“If anything, it will just be a little lighter lyrically, and more pointed in a classic country, American or Southern Gothic production — which again, so many of my songs already are,” said Del Rey.
While Chappell Roan has been very serious about her pleas to fans to respect her personal space, Saturday Night Live found a way to make light of the situation on this weekend’s season 50 premiere by likening the red-hot pop star to Moo Deng, the 2-month-old pygmy hippo living at a zoo in Thailand.
On Saturday night’s Weekend Update, Bowen Yang portrayed the viral hippo, who confided in Colin Jost about how hard it was to have the world’s attention on her and have zoogoers throwing bananas and shellfish at her.
“The response has been overwhelming, but it has come to the point that I have to set some boundaries,” Yang said, going on to paraphrase Roan’s words. “Reminder: Women owe you nothing. When I’m in my enclosure, tripping over stuff, biting my trainer’s knee, I am at work. That is the project. Do not yell my name or expect a photo just because I’m your parasocial bestie or because you appreciate my talent.”

In August, the “Good Luck, Babe!” singer made headlines for speaking out against toxic fan behavior, detailing experiences with stalking and crossed boundaries that she’s faced over the past few months. “I’ve been in too many nonconsensual physical and social interactions and I just need to lay it out and remind you, women don’t owe you sh–,” she wrote at the time in an Instagram post. “I chose this career path because because I love music and art and honoring my inner child, I do not accept harassment of any kind because I chose this path, nor do I deserve it.”
Yang as Moo Deng went on to joke: “Before me, the only hippos in media were either Hungry, Hungry or Jada Pinkett in Madagascar. But now, I’m your favorite hippo’s favorite hippo.”
When Jost suggested that Yang’s Moo Deng sounded a lot like Chappell Roan, the Weekend Update host asked if she even knew who Roan was. “I’m 10 weeks old, Colin. Of course I know Chappell Roan,” Yang said. “And by the way, leave her alone! Let her take as much time as she needs for her mental health.”
On Friday, Roan dropped out of her scheduled performances at the All Things Go festival in both New York and Maryland, writing in a message on her Instagram Story, “I apologize to people who have been waiting to see me in NYC & DC this weekend at All Things Go, but I am unable to perform. Things have gotten overwhelming over the past few weeks and I am really feeling it. I feel pressures to prioritize a lot of things right now and I need a few days to prioritize my health. I want to be present when I perform and give the best shows possible.”
On SNL, Moo Deng also mirrored Roan’s comments about why she wouldn’t endorse a presidential candidate. “I know I’m only 10 weeks old, but this is very important to me so please listen: I will not be making an endorsement in this year’s election.” Roan recently said she would not be endorsing anyone in the U.S. presidential election, but then later clarified that she would be voting for Kamala Harris after fan backlash.
The Weekend Update segment wasn’t Yang’s only reference to Roan in Saturday’s episode: In a sketch later in the night, Yang referred to the classic show I Love Lucy as a “femininomenon,” borrowing the name of a Chappell Roan song.

For a short time, up to 100 Prince fans visiting the music superstar’s hometown will have a place to stay when the party’s over that will let them go crazy over his cultural legacy, a home featured in the film Purple Rain.
Although the white, two-story home with brown trim in Minneapolis looks unassuming from the outside, there’s plenty inside to make the late icon’s devotees delirious over this new, limited-time Airbnb rental. Upstairs, a big closet with paisley wallpaper and leopard-spotted floor displays iconic outfits worn by Prince behind glass and has other outfits available to make renters the beautiful ones.
“And then what guests will be able to do themselves is actually play around with a selection of really iconic ‘80s outfits and looks and styles that they can kind of engage their inner rock star themselves,” said Ali Killam, an Airbnb spokesperson.
Trending on Billboard
The rentals are within reach for fans who don’t own diamonds and pearls — just $7 a night per person for up to four guests. The price is based on Prince’s favorite number and there will be a total of 25 nightly stays available over seven weeks from Oct. 26 to Dec. 14.
The Airbnb rentals are a sign o’ the times — the 40th anniversary of the movie. It starred Prince as The Kid, a musician and band leader with a rocky life in the home featured on screen.
The film, along with the hit album of the same name, made Prince a superstar through songs like the title track, “Let’s Go Crazy” and “When Doves Cry.” Those followed other hits, such as “1999” and “Little Red Corvette,” and he sold more than 100 million records with a gender- and genre-defying blend of rock, funk and soul. He died April 21, 2016, of an accidental fentanyl overdose at age 57 at his Paisley Park estate in Chanhassen, Minnesota.
The rentals are hosted by Lisa Coleman and Wendy Melvoin, two lifelong friends and musical collaborators of Prince’s, on behalf of Airbnb, the late musician’s estate and global media company Warner Bros. Discovery.
In the home’s basement, guests can sleep in a replica of The Kid’s bedroom from the film, down to the lavender pillows on the bed and even a 1980s-style cassette player. There’s also a lounge where guests can play guitar, drums or an upright piano. QR codes throughout the house link visitors to commentary from the hosts.
“It really is meant to immerse you in The Kid’s world,” Killam said.
And, of course, as a tribute to Prince, his career and influence, there’s plenty of his signature color, purple. There’s a large piece of wall art depicting purple bananas, which Killam said was a reference to “Let’s Go Crazy.”
If U would die 4 Prince, you can request a booking online on Airbnb here, starting at 6 a.m. PT on Oct. 2 and through 11:59 p.m. PT on Oct. 6. Airbnb says a pool of potential guests will be chosen at random, and the final invitations to rent will be based on fans’ answers for why they want to stay there.
