Chief Keef

HipHopWired Featured Video

Chief Keef is seen by many as a pioneer of the Chicago Drill scene and found fame as a teenager while putting his city on the map. These days, Chief Keef is celebrating lifestyle changes and shared that he’s no longer using lean.
Chief Keef, 28, has been on a press run in support of his latest studio album, Almighty So 2 which is a proper sequel to his 2013 mixtape of the same name. In recent conversations with Zane Lowe and Shawn Setaro, the rapper born Keith Cozart appears to be changing his ways, and letting go of his use of promethazine could be attributed to that.

Taking to Instagram last weekend, Keef shared brief details of his sobriety with his fans.

“Been clean of lean 3-4 months now! CHAMPION,” Keef wrote, adding a kissing face, applause, and leaves emoji underneath his statement.
Almighty So 2 was released on May 10 and the early returns say that Keef, who produced the majority of the album himself, delivered a solid extension in the series.
Props to Chief Keef and his sobriety journey!

Like many people out there, Bhad Bhabie has regrettably gotten a tattoo inspired by an ex. However, in the case of the 20-year-old rapper, she got six.
Bhabie — real name Danielle Bregoli — joined Emily Ratajkowski on the model’s High Low podcast this week, where she revealed that she has six Chief Keef tattoos from when they were dating.

“I have one guy that managed to make it six times, five or six,” she said in the podcast. “So, I have Chief Keef’s birthday, his last name, his name, his nickname, and I have ‘CK’ on my ankle, then I have his last name right here. Actually, I just covered his birthday, and then I have ‘So’ on my ear, and then I have ‘Keef’ on my wrist.”

When Ratajkowski asked why she covered his birthday, Bregoli responded, that she’s “sick of his s—.” She went on to note that she’s planning on getting all of her Keef-inspired tattoos removed. “I’m just tired of being delusional. I’m so over it,” she explained.

The “Gucci Flip Flops” rapper revealed that while “it’s been a long run,” she and Keef were never officially together. “I would say we were pretty close, but I’ve known him for a minute,” she continued, without giving an exact timeline. “I feel like I’m kind of wrong, in a way, because I just walked out without rhyme or reason. I mean, I had a little bit of a reason but it was like, ‘Damn, b—-, you just stopped talking to me?’”

“I don’t mean to sit here and put him on blast,” Bhabie continued, noting that Keef is one of “the only people I could say I really took to and I really loved him.”

Coi Leray is one of the hottest new female rap stars, and now her father Benzino has weighed in on her dating life.

The TV personality appeared on Ray Daniels’ The Gauds Show podcast this week, where he expressed his hesitation about her daughter dating another rapper. He mentioned Chief Keef as an example, sharing, “If my daughter brought home Chief Keef, my life is f—ed. And Chief Keef is one of my favorite young artists, ‘I’m a Gorilla in a zoo’ and all that, but I don’t want my daughter with Chief Keef.”

However, the former The Source owner had a change of tune when asked if he’d be OK with Leray linking up with someone like J. Cole or Kendrick Lamar (both of whom have longterm partners and children). “Maybe J. Cole,” he said. “You know what? I wasn’t thinking about J. Cole. I could see me and J. Cole kicking it. Coi in there cooking and me and him sitting watching the game. I could see me and J. Cole doing that. J. Cole a good one.”

While Coi is currently single, she’s been previously linked to stars like Pressa, Blueface, and Trippie Redd. On the music front, the star’s been heating up the charts with her hit “Players,” which peaked at No. 9 on the Billboard Hot 100.
