A$AP Rocky is staying active with his creative director role at PUMA. A new motorsport collection is on the way.

As reported by Hypebeast, the Harlem, New York, native is deep into his fashion bag this summer. This week, A$AP and Global Apparel announced a new drop that draws from racing but is just the right speed for everyday wear. Included in the collection is a two-piece sweatsuit, gloves, t-shirts and an update to the Inhale OG sneaker, which was originally released in 2000. The goal was to bring the flair of on-track performance, therefore, most of the pieces show some wear and tear. For instance the Padded Balaclava was designed to look like a standard racing helmet and features a removable visor and a bungee closure.

The self proclaimed Fashion Killa detailed his enthusiasm about the forthcoming drop in a formal statement. “This Miami collection aims to give fans the chance to have their own race suit from the helmet down to the shoes,“ said A$AP. “Other sports have uniforms available for the consumer and I wanted to bring that to the F1 category. For the visuals, I wanted to demonstrate how as adults we can lose sight of the dreams and imagination that we had as kids, and really love how it all came together.”
The collection is available beginning in the U.S. at 10 a.m. EST on May 3 on PUMA’s website. You can preview the collection here and view the promotional trailer below.

According to reports, superstar Missy Elliott is making a return to the big screen with a role in a musical helmed by Pharrell Williams and Michel Gondry. The unnamed project will be directed by Gondry, best known for directing Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. The four-time Grammy Award winner shared the news with her millions of fans in a post on X, formerly Twitter, on Tuesday (April 30). “Ayyyyye,” she wrote, accompanied by emojis of flames, a dancing woman and hands up giving a high-five.

The film’s coming-of-age plot takes place during the summer of 1977, with the setting being inspired by the Atlantis Apartments in the Virginia Beach, Virginia, neighborhood where Williams grew up. The star-studded cast also includes Academy Award winner Da’Vine Joy Randolph, Halle Bailey, Kelvin Harrison Jr., and Academy Award nominee Brian Tyree Henry. The script is being written by Martin Hynes (Toy Story 4) and Steven Levenson (FX’s Fosse/Verdon), as Pharrell Williams is producing with Mimi Valdés through i am OTHER, and Gil Netter is producing through Gil Netter Productions.
For Elliott, it’s her first time appearing on the big screen in a sizable role since appearing as the character Missy (who performed a duet of “Car Wash” with Christina Aguilera) in the 2004 DreamWorks animated film Shark’s Tale. The singer/songwriter/rapper also appeared as herself in the 2003 film Honey, starring Jessica Alba and was in two episodes of the Fox musical drama, Star, in 2017.

Sukihana was recently arrested in Florida on drug charges and has now spoken out about the incident and claims that what was reported was not true. The social media and reality television star says that she doesn’t sell drugs and added that the charges against her will be dropped.
Sukihana, real name Destiny Henderson, 32, was initially arrested on April 25 and was taken into custody by the North Lauderdale Police Department with her mugshot processed by the Broward County Sheriff’s Office. An Arkansas judge just changed life for rapper Bankroll Freddie. He’s been found guilty of multiple gun and drug charges, stemming from an 2022 arrest.

According to THV11, the “Drip Like This” rapper was found guilty of one count of marijuana possession and distribution, possession and distribution of a controlled substance, one count of firearm possession in furtherance of drug trafficking, and using a communications facility in the furtherance of drug trafficking crimes. The ruling was filed earlier this month by the U.S. District Court in Eastern District Arkansas.

Though the Quality Control rapper was found guilty of the aforementioned charges, he was also cleared of numerous other charges that he was slapped with back in November of 2022 when he and 45 other associates were arrested as part of the federal investigations.
THV11 reports:
On Nov. 9, the Department of Justice announced three federal investigations that resulted in 45 arrests.
The operation focused on two gangs, the Every Body Killas (EBK) and the Loady Murder Mobb.
Freddie Gladney III, better known as Bankroll Freddie, was arrested along with 34 EBK members which included his father, Freddie Gladney Jr.
Officials at the time said that the gang members “voluntarily and intentionally conspired” together to distribute cocaine, crack cocaine, meth, and marijuana.
Gladney III faced several drug charges related to the possession of cocaine and marijuana.
No word on what kind of prison time Freddie is facing, but given the gravity of the situation, we doubt he’ll be given probation or time served.

Kai Cenat may not be on the same level of stardom as Ye aka Kanye West, but that isn’t keeping the online celebrity from clapping back at the music icon for taking some potshots at him.

Last week during an interview with Justin Laboy on The Download podcast, Kanye West made a lot of noise (as he tends to do). While many folks were talking about what he had to say about Michelle Obama and having a song with Takeoff, one subject that flew under the radar was his thoughts on the king of streams, Kai Cenat. Apparently, still salty that Cenat complained about some sweatpants he sent him saying they were too big. Ye chalked it up to Kai Cenat being an “industry plant.”

Just because Kai Cenat thought Ye’s pants were oversized, the rapper decided to label him an industry plant and added, “The f*cking exact genre is the most industry plants. It’s about mind control.” Kanye also took issue with Kai “Cent” mentioning his daughter’s name a week later. But we feel he’s more bothered about the pants more than anything else.
While Kanye may feel that way about Kai Cenat, the pants he sent him were a bit too big. It is what it is.

Needless to say Kai was not going to let that slide and took to his channel to address Kanye’s “slander” saying “Ye, I’ve been doing this s**t since 2018, Ye. Facebook. Me. Bronx. Funny skits. Been doing this sh*t. All because a lot of people… man f*ck that! The pants ain’t fit my n*gga!!” LOL. They really didn’t, but Ye doesn’t like anyone criticizing his work whether it be music or fashion. Apparently, if you do he’ll label you an industry plant.
Looking to squash whatever beef Kanye may have with him, Kai pleaded with Ye: “Just send me some new pants, bro!” It really is that simple, but leave it to Kanye to turn a simple thing into some kind of conspiracy theory ish.
Check out Kai Cenat’s reaction to Kanye’s comments below, and let us know your thoughts on the situation in the comments section.

After decades of being off the air, everyone’s favorite ’90s Hip-Hop cop show, New York Undercover, is back! Well, not really, but kinda.

Over the weekend the show celebrated it’s 30th anniversary with the help of Lethal Shooter (NBA shooting coach Chris Matthews), Dave East and others. The show’s two main stars, Malik Yoba and Michael DeLorenzo returned as Detective J.C. Williams and Detective Eddie Torres and gave us an idea of what New York Undercover could be in 2024.

Breaking out the baggy pants and leather jackets like it was 1995 again, Detective Torres and Williams run up on Dave East and his crew in search of Lethal Shooter. Remaining true to the code of the streets, East promptly denied knowing anything before the two D’s were alerted to Shooter’s whereabouts. Taking to Dyckman court to cuff up their person of interest, Torres and Williams once again break the case wide open in less than a half-hour.
This was hilarious.
We don’t know if this was just a one-off for the two actors or if they’re angling to get their show back on the airwaves or streaming, but either way it was pretty cool to see them back in action on the streets of New York.
Check out Dave East, Malik Yoba and Michael DeLorenzo breathe new life into New York Undercover below. Let us know your thoughts on the skit in the comments section.

Drake may be willing to go to war with the likes of Kendrick Lamar, Rick Ross and whoever else may have a problem with him, but he doesn’t want any smoke with Tupac Shakur’s estate.

Less than a week after releasing his “Taylor Made Freestyle” which featured an AI version of the late-great Makaveli, Tupac Shakur’s estate threatened Drizzy with a lawsuit for using Pac’s “vocals” on his Kendrick Lamar diss record. They gave him 24 hours to take the song down or face the legal consequences. Sho’nuff, the song has now been removed from Drizzy’s Instagram page with no explanation (not that one was needed).

Last weekend, Drake shocked the Hip-Hop world when he released the aforementioned song, which not only featured an AI generated verse from Tupac, but also Snoop Dogg who’s alive and well. With many fans bemoaning the artificially created verse from one of the biggest Hip-Hop icons of all-time, others praised Drake for the surprise move and crowned him the GOAT for taking rap battles into the digital age.
Needless to say, Snoop Dogg was shocked that he somehow ended up on a new record without his knowledge. Tupac Shakur’s estate wasn’t amused at all and slapped Drake with a cease-and-desist letter, which threatened him with a lawsuit if he didn’t take the song down from his page.
According to USA Today, the message was received and the song is now as ghost as the spirit of the man who was featured on it.
Per USA Today:
In a letter obtained by USA TODAY Wednesday, the estate of Tupac and his mother, Afeni Shakur, says it’s “deeply dismayed and disappointed by your unauthorized use of Tupac’s voice and personality in the ‘Taylor Made (Freestyle)’ record.”
The letter continues, “We demand that you immediately cease and desist from any further publication and exploitation of the Record, and that you immediately take ALL NECESSARY steps to remove it from all platforms where it is publicly available.”
The release is “a flagrant violation of Tupac’s publicity and the Estate’s legal rights. … The Estate would never have given its approval for this use,” the letter states. “The unauthorized, equally dismaying use of Tupac’s voice against Kendrick Lamar, a good friend to the Estate who has given nothing but respect to Tupac and his legacy publicly and privately, compounds the insult.”
And with that, the King of the North had to bow down to the rap legend’s representatives as he had no desire to take this battle to the courts.

Meanwhile, the Hip-Hop world continues to await a response from Kendrick Lamar. His silence has fans wondering if he’ll even continue to participate in the battle that he set off with his verse on Future and Metro Boomin’s “Like That” just last month.
We’re starting to lose faith that he will, but to each his own.
What do y’all think of this situation? Did y’all even like the song? Let us know in the comments section below.

Kanye West has become notorious for pushing back the release dates of his albums. While his fans are upset that Vultures 2 has yet to drop a month and change after its original release date of March 8, they’ll be pleased to know it will now include a feature from someone you never saw coming.

According to Variety, Kanye West and Ty Dolla $ign’s upcoming album, Vultures 2, is now set to release May 3 and will surprisingly include a feature from none other than the Migos’ Takeoff (RIP). The song in question is a pre-existing cut named “Let Me Chill Out” which not only includes Takeoff but also NBA YoungBoy and Rich the Kid. While this is cool news for fans of the dearly departed rapper, Kanye fans are still low-key upset that the man continues to psych them out with his tentative album release dates.
Variety reports:

Kanye revealed the “Vultures 2” release date news during a recent appearance on Justin LaBoy’s “The Download” podcast. “Vultures” was announced as a three-part album series with the third volume said to arrive on April 5 though the third volume of the album was not discussed during Kanye and LaBoy’s conversation.
Not soon after, Rolling Stone confirmed the inclusion of “Let Me Chill Out” and Takeoff’s verse on the album, describing it as a “highlight track.”  Takeoff, who was shot and killed in 2022, has been only ever been posthumously featured on songs for Quavo’s 2023 album “Rocket Power.”
Kanye and Ty Dolla released “Vultures 1” on Feb. 10 via YZY, which debuted atop the Billboard 200, launching its lead single, “Carnival” to No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song competed with fresh singles from Beyoncé, and remains at No. 20 on the chart.
Say what you will about Kanye West, the man has a loyal following who will follow him to the ends of the Earth regardless of how off the wall or reprehensible he gets with his words and actions. It’s rather MAGA-ish if you really think about it.
Will you be checking for Vultures 2 when it releases next month? What do y’all think about the album featuring a posthumous verse from Takeoff? Let us know in the comments section below.

It is clear celebrity does not shield you from bullying. Jelly Roll’s wife has confirmed he has quit Instagram due to fat-shaming.

As reported on TMZ, the popular country music talent has been noticeably absent from social media over the last couple of weeks. While high profile musicians are known to take breaks online, his better half has revealed his lack of posts has been intentional. Bunnie XO explained why Jelly Roll has taken a step back from social apps on her Dumb Blonde podcast. “My husband got off the internet because he is so tired of being bullied about his f***ing weight. And that makes me want to cry, because he is the sweetest angel baby,” she said. “My husband doesn’t show it to you guys, but I’m gonna have a very vulnerable moment here—it hurts him.”

She went on to point to the hypocrisy that comes along with fame and fortune. “The internet can say whatever the f*** they want about you, and they say, ‘Well, you’re a celebrity, you’re supposed to be able to handle it.’ No the f*** we’re not. … Enough is enough,” she explained. Bunnie also urged the public to be more sensitive to everyone’s feelings. “Don’t bully people, because you never know where they are mentally,” she added. “There are a lot of people who are not as strong as me, that are on the internet, and they don’t deserve to f***ing be bullied.”

In 2023, Jelly Roll won the New Artist of the Year at the CMA Awards. Earlier this year, he took home three awards at the CMT Music Awards. Prior to singing country music he was a rapper and released multiple projects under the same moniker. The couple wed back in 2016. You can see Bunnie XO discuss things below.
