Anthony Mackie Reveals Kendrick Lamar Recorded Title Track for ‘Captain America: Brave New World’ | Billboard News

Actor Anthony Mackie has been doing the rounds to build hype for his upcoming movie, Marvel’s Captain America: Brave New World. During an interview with our friends over at ET, Mackie let slip that Kendrick Lamar recorded the title track for the film.

Anthony Mackie:
Kendrick did the title song for my movie. I hope that’s not supposed to be a surprise.

Tetris Kelly:
This isn’t the first time Kendrick has lent his talents to a Marvel movie soundtrack. Back in 2018, Kendrick teamed up with SZA for the hit song “All the Stars,” which was the lead single for Marvel’s Black Panther. “All the Stars” was a big single for Marvel. It reached No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100, received numerous accolades including a nomination for best original song at the 76th Golden Globe Awards and the 91st Academy Awards, as well as receiving four nominations at the 61st Grammy Awards, including record of the year and song of the year. Not to mention that K.Dot and SZA just performed the hit track “All the Stars” this weekend during the Super Bowl Halftime Show. We can’t say the name of the track or its release date just yet, but I might have seen a screening of it and the track is epic.

Captain America: Brave New World releases in theaters this Friday, Feb 14.

Laverne Cox Talks Hosting Billboard Women in Music 2025, ‘Clean Slate’ Creation & More | Billboard News

Laverne Cox has been officially announced as the host for Billboard Women in Music 2025, and we sat down with the star to get her feelings on hosting an empowering night for women, creating her new show ‘Clean Slate’ and more!

I mean, you’re no stranger to hosting red carpets. You are front and center of glitz and glam. How does it feel now to be able to host an event that’s primarily focused on women?

Laverne Cox:

I love being a woman. I think women are the most powerful, amazing humans on the planet. The ways in which women have evolved are leading in all areas, and particularly in music. I’m insanely excited. I mean, the women who are performing, the women we’re honoring. I’m a fan, I’m a fangirl, and I just can’t wait to celebrate and have a party with everybody. 

I agree. And I mean, you, of course, are such a pillar of representation, and you so fiercely advocate for humans to be all on the same level. And I’ve been noticing myself a big shift, especially in music, that women get to express themselves however they truly are. We see it with all the pop girls lately. Why do you think now is the time where we see women kind of expressing themselves and their full potential and their full capacity?

I’m older, so I think about artists like a Tina Turner or Madonna. I think a lot about Madonna, when I think about this moment and how much control she took over her career, of every aspect of it, and how she was represented. And more and more, women are having that control artistically.

From partying with us at the Super Bowl to the cover of our magazine, we just found out who Travis Scott wants to collab with. Is Travis tasting the “espresso?” He told Carl Lamarre of Billboard:

“This might be crazy, but I would love to get Taylor Swift or Sabrina Carpenter on a hook.”

And when asked why he said, “I have some ill ideas.”

And that’s not it. He’s looking at a Best New Artist nominee from the Grammys too, saying: “It’s this band called Khruangbin I want to work with.”

Drake Changes Lyric In ‘Knife Talk’ After Kendrick Lamar’s Halftime Show | Billboard News

Drake changed the lyrics on “Knife Talk” after Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show this past Sunday, teases music from his joint album with PartyNextDoor, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, and new solo music in the works.

It seems like Drake may be down, but he’s not out. At a recent tour stop in Melbourne, Australia, Drake changed the lyrics on his hit song “Knife Talk” from “Beef is live, spoiler alert, this n—a dies” to “Beef is live, spoiler alert — I never died.”

Not only is Drake declaring he’s not dead yet, he’s also letting us know his beef with Kendrick isn’t over. We’ll have to wait and see what response the Canadian superstar has planned, but until then, Drake has teased his next project.

Drake is getting ready to drop a joint project with PartyNextDoor. While performing in Australia, Drizzy teased the crowd on what to expect from the project, which drops this Friday the 14th, just in time for Valentine’s Day. Drizzy then took to Instagram to preview one of the songs, titled “Crying in Chanel.” A tracklist for the album has not been revealed. Talking to his fans on the second night of Anita Max Win tour, Drake teases that he’s working on a solo album. “Eventually when the time is right, Drizzy Drake alone by himself is gonna have to have a one-on-one talk to y’all.”

Drake clearly has “More Life” in him, and we can’t wait to see what music he’s been cooking up. His joint album, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, drops this Friday.

Morgan Wallen debuts a new one at No. 2, and grabbing another week at No. 1 is “Die With a Smile.”

And some of her fans think Cardi is doing her friend and collaborator dirty, still working with her ex. She had this to say on X.

I want to make this very clear, when I **** two people and I like two people, I stay away from **** because when it comes to relationship, some **** will always happen. And one thing about me, I’m gonna stay neutral, and I’m gonna stay the **** out of it.

Rob49 opened up his new restaurant, The Nest NOLA, in New Orleans just in time for the Super Bowl, and the rapper is sharing how he was inspired to open a restaurant, what it was like to work with Lil Wayne, his upcoming music releases and more!

Hey everyone. It’s your girl Catrice J, we are in New Orleans with Rob49 at his new restaurant The Nest NOLA. How you feeling? 

Rob49:

I’m good, good, good. It’s like a lounge type, restaurant type vibe. 

Tell me about it. 

That’s what it is. I just always wanted somewhere like for me and my partners to come instead of going like to these… all these spots that we not comfortable at. 

What does it mean to you to have this restaurant in New Orleans, your home city?

It feels good just because New Orleans food is everything I ain’t- I wouldn’t even feel comfortable building nowhere else. 

New Orleans has one of the richest food cultures in the world. How do you think the flavors of the city are going to represent in this restaurant? 

It’s the one like, I think if they come here, they’re gonna know, like, New Orleans got the best food in the United States. Like, for sure. And I know it sounds crazy, 50 states, 49 of them like, but this the one. 

I feel like it too. I’ll be honest. 

You feel like that? 

I feel like you have the best food in New Orleans. 

Nah, swear to God bro.

And it looked like a bomb had gone off. So much smoke in the air, and I look at our house and it’s like at the top in the middle of it. Hi, how are you? Can I please get a glass of booze?

Oh, here we go. Mukbang, a croissant. Heidi says that when I say mukbang, it’s a little intense.

Heidi Montag:

Cheers to our health, and our future. There’s a fire right over our house, so please say some prayers for us. And it’s a mandatory evacuation, and I’m gonna pack up here. I went to evacuate at Spencer’s parents house, which is down the street from us. I thought OK, we’ll spend the night here. Hopefully I’ll go home. I got there and the whole town was gone, and we had just missed that crazy wave on Sunset where everyone was having to leave their cars and run. But thankfully, we missed that, because I had my two kids, and my one son had 104 fever. So I was so focused on mom mode. Spencer was still at the house, and I was waiting for him, and a part of me didn’t want to leave, because I’m like, if I leave, he might stay even longer.
