DJ/producer John Summit and singer Hayla jump onto Billboard‘s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart (dated March 18) at No. 9 with “Where You Are.” The first top 10 for both acts, “Where” starts with 1.9 million streams and 1,000 in download sales in the United States March 3-9, according to Luminate.
The collab amounts to Summit’s eighth total appearance, a run that began with “Deep End” (No. 26 peak, December 2020). Until now, that song and “Human,” featuring Echoes (March 2022), were tied as Summit’s highest-peaking tracks.
“Where” brings the second appearance for Hayla, the featured vocalist on Kx5’s “Escape” (No. 11, last June).
Concurrently, “Where” enters at No. 4 on the Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales chart, matching the high of “Escape” last year. Summit scores his second and top-charting top 10, following “La Danza” (No. 10, March 2022).
On Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, “Where” debuts between two other newly-arriving collabs: Marshmello and Manuel Turizo‘s “El Merengue” (No. 6) and Oliver Tree and David Guetta‘s “Here We Go Again” (No. 10). The former, as previously reported, marks Marshmello’s first entry on a Billboard Latin chart.
“Here” is Oliver Tree’s second top 10, following “Miss You,” with Robin Schulz (No. 4, November). “Here” is Guetta’s landmark 20th top 10, the fourth-most among all acts since the chart premiered in January 2013; Kygo leads with 24, followed by The Chainsmokers (22) and Calvin Harris (21).
The track also extends Guetta’s record for the most Hot Dance/Electronic Songs hits overall to 75 (ahead of Kygo, with 61). “Here” bows with 1.8 million U.S. streams.
Further on Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, a fourth notable team-up, Martin Garrix and JVKE‘s “Hero,” leaps 33-17. The track earns top Streaming Gainer honors with 872,000 streams, up 48%, in the wake of the March 3 release of new remixes by DubVision and Space Ducks. The rank is the closest that “Hero” has been to its No. 13 best in two months.
Boosted by its high-energy performance on the Academy Awards (March 12), best original song winner “Naatu Naatu” scored a 260% increase in on-demand official streams in the United States, according to initial reports to data tracking firm Luminate (whose information powers Billboard’s weekly charts).
On March 12 and 13 combined, “Naatu Naatu,” performed by vocalists Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairava, garnered 176,000 official on-demand streams in the U.S. – up 260% from the 49,000 that the track collected in the two previous days (March 10 and 11).
In terms of digital song sales, the song sold a little over 1,000 on March 12-13 – up from a negligible sum in the two days prior.
The best original song Oscar is awarded to the writers of the song. “Naatu Naatu” was written by M.M. Keeravaani and Chandrabose, who both accepted the Oscar onstage during the live ABC-TV broadcast.
“Naatu Naatu” had the third-most streams of the five nominees for original song, all of which were performed on the Oscars, which aired live on ABC. Here’s a recap of the other four nominees and their streams on March 12-13, versus March 10-11: Rihanna’s “Lift Me Up” (1.447 million vs. 1.446 million; up less than 1%), Lady Gaga’s “Hold My Hand” (580,000 vs. 389,000; up 49%), “This Is a Life” (84,000 vs. 38,000; up 121%) and Sofia Carson’s “Applause” (37,000 vs. 5,000; up 593%).
In addition, Lenny Kravitz’s “Calling All Angels,” which he performed for the In Memoriam portion of the broadcast, collected 35,000 streams on March 12-13 – a gain of 3,449% compared to the 1,000 streams that it garnered on March 10-11.
Collectively, the six performances helped generate 2.359 million on-demand official streams in the U.S. on March 12-13 – a gain of 22% compared to the 1.929 million on March 10-11.

Morgan Wallen’s One Thing at a Time debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 albums chart (dated March 18) with 501,000 equivalent album units earned in the United States in the week ending March 9, according to Luminate. A hefty 76% of One Thing at a Time’s debut-week total was powered by streaming activity. The set’s 36 tracks collectively generated 498.28 million on-demand official streams in the U.S. in the album’s first week – marking the fifth-largest streaming week ever for any album, and the biggest ever for a country album.
One Thing at a Time was released March 3 via Big Loud/Mercury/Republic Records and is the follow-up to Wallen’s chart-topping effort Dangerous: The Double Album, released in January 2021. The latter spent 10 weeks atop the Billboard 200 chart and ranks at No. 6 on the latest list — its 110th nonconsecutive week in the top 10. It now solely has the second-most weeks in the top 10 in the list’s 67-year history, surpassing 109 weeks for the soundtrack to The Sound of Music. (The original cast recording of My Fair Lady holds the record for the most weeks in the top 10, with 173.)
One Thing at a Time was preceded by the release of nine songs from the album as far back as April of 2022. Four of those tunes topped Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart: “Don’t Think Jesus,” “Thought You Should Know,” “You Proof” and “Last Night,” the lattermost of which has reigned for four weeks running (through the most recently published March 11-dated ranking).
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. Of One Thing at a Time’s 501,000 equivalent album units earned, SEA units comprise 382,000 (equaling 498.28 million on-demand official streams of the set’s 36 tracks), album sales comprise 111,500 and TEA units comprise 7,500. The album’s sales were powered by its digital download option (87,500; available as both a clean and explicit edition) while its double-CD (explicit only) sold 24,000. On the final day of the tracking week, the digital album was also offered in two alternative cover variants in Wallen’s official webstore for a discounted price. The set was not commercially released in any other formats.
One Thing at a Time has the second-largest week of 2023 by traditional album sales for an album, after the debut frame of TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s The Name Chapter: Temptation (152,000; chart dated Feb. 11). One Thing at a Time has the largest sales week for a country album since Red (Taylor’s Version) sold 369,000 in its first week (Nov. 27, 2021, chart).
As noted above, One Thing at a Time captures the fifth-largest streaming week ever for an album. The four largest streaming weeks for albums, by total streams earned, were all also debut frames. Drake’s Scorpion leads the pack, as it collected 745.92 million clicks for its 25 tracks in the week ending July 5, 2018. Scorpion is followed by the opening weeks of Drake’s Certified Lover Boy (743.67 million for its 21 tracks, week ending Sept. 9, 2021), Taylor Swift’s Midnights (549.26 million for its 20 tracks across its standard and deluxe editions, week ending Oct. 27, 2022) and Drake and 21 Savage’s Her Loss (513.56 million for its 16 tracks, week ending Nov. 10, 2022).
Certainly, the fact that One Thing at a Time has 36 songs helps its first-week numbers — as streaming activity for the chart is measured by taking the number of streams generated by each song on an album and adding them up to one overall total. Had the album been shortened to a length comparable to Drake’s 25-track Scorpion, it still would have had a big streaming figure. The top 25 most-streamed songs on One Thing at a Time generated 397.93 million on-demand official streams — which would made it the 10th-largest streaming week ever, and still the biggest among all country albums. Had One Thing at a Time’s tracklist been even shorter — as short as Drake and 21 Savage’s 16-track Her Loss, it still would have had a robust, but not quite as eye-popping, streaming start. One Thing at a Time’s top 16 most-streamed tracks collectively generated 294.65 million on-demand official streams — which would have ranked the set among the top 20 biggest streaming weeks of all time, though still the second-largest streaming week for a country album (behind the debut of Swift’s Red [Taylor’s Version], with 303.23 million for its 30 tracks).
In the last 12 months, One Thing at a Time has the most songs on its streaming album of any No. 1 on the Billboard 200, save for the 44-track Encanto soundtrack — although most of those 44 tracks are score and instrumental cuts, and the vast majority of the album’s streaming activity has come from the set’s nine focus songs, including the ensemble smash “We Don’t Talk About Bruno.” Including Encanto, in the last 12 months, the average tracklist length for the streaming edition of a No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 has been 19. If we remove Encanto from the math, that average falls to 18. In the last 12 months, only four No. 1 albums have had fewer than 12 songs — and all were K-pop projects, powered largely by CD album sales, not streams.
A few last notes about Wallen… he is the first male artist with back-to-back country No. 1s on the Billboard 200 since 2019, when Thomas Rhett notched his second No. 1 in a row with Center Point Road, following Life Changes in 2017. Further, Wallen has the largest week for any country album by a male artist since the Billboard 200 began tracking by equivalent album units in December of 2014. In fact, only one country album has posted a bigger week in that span of time — Swift’s Red (Taylor’s Version), with 604,500 units in its debut week in 2021. (Country albums are considered those that have hit or are eligible for Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart.)
Notably, since the Billboard 200 began measuring by equivalent album units in December 2014 (transitioning from an album sales-only methodology to a blend of album sales, SEA and TEA), only nine acts have registered a half-million units in a week for an album (with some having done so with multiple albums). They are: Adele, Beyoncé, Justin Bieber, Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, Harry Styles, Taylor Swift and Wallen.
As No. 2 on the new Billboard 200, SZA’s SOS holds in place with 82,000 equivalent album units earned (down 5%). The set previously spent 10 nonconsecutive weeks atop the list. Karol G’s Mañana Será Bonito falls 1-3 in its second week with 60,000 units (down 36%).
Kali Uchis achieves her first top 10-charting album on the Billboard 200 as Red Moon in Venus debuts at No. 4 with 55,000 equivalent album units earned. Of that sum, album sales comprise 28,000, SEA units comprise 27,000 (equaling 35.49 million on-demand official streams of the set’s songs) and TEA units comprise a negligible sum. The mostly-English-language project is the artist’s first album release since the breakthrough success of the mostly-Spanish-language single “Telepatía” in 2021 (from her last album, 2020’s Spanish-language Sin Miedo [Del Amor y Otros Demonios]). That track spent eight weeks at No. 1 on Hot Latin Songs (her first leader there) and marked her first top 40-charting hit on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 (peaking at No. 25 and spending 25 weeks on the list). Red Moon in Venus includes guest turns from Omar Apollo, Don Toliver and Summer Walker.
Six former No. 1s round out the top 10 of the new Billboard 200: Swift’s Midnights is stationary at No. 5 (48,000 equivalent album units earned, down 1%); Wallen’s Dangerous: The Double Album is a non-mover at No. 6 (46,000, down less than 1%); Metro Boomin’s Heroes & Villains is steady at No. 7 (40,000, down 4%); Bad Bunny’s Un Verano Sin Ti rises 10-8 (39,000, up less than 1%); The Weeknd’s Starboy holds at No. 9 (35,000, down 13%) and Drake and 21 Savage’s Her Loss rises 11-10 (34,000, down 5%).

Adam Lambert lands his fifth top 10-charting effort on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart (dated March 11) as his new covers project, High Drama, debuts at No. 7. The set marks his highest-charting effort on Top Album Sales since 2015, when the studio set The Original High debuted and peaked at No. 2 (July 4, 2015-dated chart).
High Drama boasts renditions of such top 40-charting Billboard Hot 100 hits as Bonnie Tyler’s “Holding Out for a Hero,” Duran Duran’s “Ordinary World,” Sia’s chart-topping “Chandelier” and Culture Club’s “Do You Really Want to Hurt Me.”
Also in the top 10 of the new Top Album Sales chart, Gorillaz land their second No. 1 with the arrival of Cracker Island, Godsmack notches its eighth top 10 (and highest charting set since 2010) with the No. 2 bow of Lighting Up the Sky, Karol G clocks her first top 10 with Mañana Será Bonito and Dierks Bentley achieves his 10th top 10 with the No. 9 bow of Gravel & Gold.
Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart ranks the top-selling albums of the week based only on traditional album sales. The chart’s history dates back to May 25, 1991, the first week Billboard began tabulating charts with electronically monitored piece count information from SoundScan, now Luminate. Pure album sales were the sole measurement utilized by the Billboard 200 albums chart through the list dated Dec. 6, 2014, after which that chart switched to a methodology that blends album sales with track equivalent album units and streaming equivalent album units. High Drama sold 8,500 copies in the U.S. in the week ending March 2, according to Luminate. Physical sales comprise 4,500 (effectively all from CD sales) and digital album sales comprise 4,000.
At No. 1, Gorillaz’s Cracker Island breezes in with 48,500 copies sold in its first week, the fourth-largest sales week of 2023 and the biggest for a rock album. Of its starting sum, 32,000 were vinyl sales – the largest sales week for a vinyl album in 2023 and the biggest debut week for a rock album on vinyl in nearly a year, since Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Unlimited Love sold 38,500 in its first week (chart dated April 16, 2022).
Godsmack’s Lighting Up the Sky enters Top Album Sales at No. 2 with 18,000 sold. P!nk’s Trustfall slips to No. 3 with 17,000 sold (down 71%) after its debut at No. 1 a week ago. TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s chart-topping The Name Chapter: Temptation falls 2-4 with 14,000 (down 37%) and Taylor Swift’s former leader Midnights dips 4-5 with 11,000 (down 23%).
Karol G nabs her first top 10-charting set on Top Album Sales as Mañana Será Bonito debuts at No. 6 with 10,000 sold (her best sales week ever). The set also enters atop the Billboard 200 – the first all-Spanish-language No. 1 by a female artist – largely powered by streaming activity.
Paramore’s chart-topping This Is Why falls 6-8 with 7,000 sold (down 43%).
Dierks Bentley collects his 10th top 10-charting set on Top Album Sales as Gravel & Gold – his first studio album in nearly five years –enters at No. 9 with 6,000 sold. All but two of Bentley’s charting efforts on Top Album Sales have reached the top 10 – he’s only missed the region with his self-titled debut (peaking at No. 26 in 2003) and a four-song EP titled Country & Cold Cans (No. 54 in 2012).
Closing out the top 10 of the new Top Album Sales chart is Stray Kids’ former No. 1 MAXIDENT, rising 11-10 with nearly 6,000 sold (down 6%).
In the week ending March 2, there were 1.852 million albums sold in the U.S. (down 2.4% compared to the previous week). Of that sum, physical albums (CDs, vinyl LPs, cassettes, etc.) comprised 1.474 million (down 4.4%) and digital albums comprised 378,000 (up 6.5%).
There were 606,000 CD albums sold in the week ending March 2 (down 5% week-over-week) and 856,000 vinyl albums sold (down 4.2%). Year-to-date CD album sales stand at 5.525 million (up 0.8% compared to the same time frame a year ago) and year-to-date vinyl album sales total 7.968 million (up 26%).
Overall year-to-date album sales total 16.67 million (up 7.3% compared to the same year-to-date time frame a year ago). Year-to-date physical album sales stand at 13.576 million (up 14.3%) and digital album sales total 3.094 million (down 15.3%).
Miley Cyrus scores her first No. 1 on Billboard’s Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart as “Flowers” tops the tally dated March 11. Previously, she achieved top 10 hits with “Party in the U.S.A.” (No. 9, 2009) and as featured on Mark Ronson’s “Nothing Breaks Like a Heart” (No. 5, 2019).
With radio-friendly remixes from Tommie Sunshine/On Deck/JustnKayse, Dark Intensity and Kue, among others, “Flowers” is finding core-dance airplay on outlets including KNHC (C89.5) Seattle, iHeartRadio’s Pride Radio and SiriusXM’s Diplo’s Revolution Feb. 24-March 2, according to Luminate. (The Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart measures radio airplay on a select group of full-time dance stations, along with plays during mix shows on around 70 top 40-formatted reporters.)
Starting with “See You Again” (No. 17, 2008), Cyrus has tallied eight appearances on Dance/Mix Show Airplay. Her other entries: “We Can’t Stop” (No. 14, 2013), “Wrecking Ball” (No. 19, 2013), “Malibu” (No. 19, 2017) and “Midnight Sky” (No. 26, 2020).
“Flowers” just spent six weeks at No. 1 on both the Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard Global 200 charts, among other successes.
Additionally on the Dance/Mix Show Airplay chart, Loud Luxury lifts to its fifth top 10 and Hook N Sling celebrates its first with “Afterparty” (12-9). Plus, VAVO and Clara Mae each earn initial top 10 placements with “Take Me Home” (13-10).
Shifting to the multi-metric Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, Skrillex, Missy Elliott and Mr. Oizo jump 14-8 with “RATATA.” Skrillex’s seventh top 10 and the first each for Elliott and Oizo, “RATATA” racked up 1.4 million U.S. streams and sold 700 downloads in the tracking week.
Sticking with Hot Dance/Electronic Songs, MK collects his fifth top 10 and Dom Dolla draws his second with “Rhyme Dust,” new at No. 9. The track earned 1.2 million streams and sold 900, the latter figure also enabling a top 10 debut on Dance/Electronic Digital Song Sales (No. 8).
On the Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart, Dutch DJ/producer MELON and Dance Fruits make their first Billboard chart appearance with This Is Melon, Vol. 1 (No. 7). The set, which starts with 4,000 equivalent album units, is a sprawling, 41-track collection of upbeat dance covers of dance, pop, rock and R&B classics, including ABBA’s “Dancing Queen,” Avicii’s “Levels,” Gloria Gaynor’s “I Will Survive,” Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick in the Wall” and Swedish House Mafia’s “Don’t You Worry Child.”
Karol G’s Mañana Será Bonito makes an unprecedented splash on the Billboard 200 albums chart (dated March 11), as the set debuts atop the tally. It’s both the first No. 1 for the artist and the chart’s first No. 1 all-Spanish-language album by a female artist.

Mañana logs the largest week, by equivalent album units earned, for a Latin album by a woman since the chart began measuring by units in December of 2014. (Latin albums are defined as those that have hit or are eligible for Billboard’s Top Latin Albums chart.) Further, as Mañana generated 118.73 million official on-demand streams for its songs, the set registers the biggest streaming week ever for a Latin album by a woman.
Mañana is also the first Latin album by a woman to reach No. 1 on the Billboard 200 since 1995, when Selena’s posthumously-released, mostly-Spanish effort Dreaming of You topped the list for one week. (The 13-song Dreaming album has six tracks in Spanish, five in English and two duets that blend English and Spanish.)
Only three mostly-non-English-language albums by women have reached No. 1 on the Billboard 200 – the all-Spanish Mañana, Dreaming of You and The Singing Nun’s all-French-language self-titled album in 1963.
Karol G made her Billboard chart debut in 2016 and has been a force on Billboard’s Latin genre charts ever since, notching 17 top 10 hits on the Hot Latin Songs chart – including five No. 1s (through the most recently published chart, dated March 4). On the Top Latin Albums list, she’s previously logged a trio of top two-charting sets, including one No. 1, her previous release, KG0516, in 2021.
Mañana is the fourth charting album for Karol G on the all-genre Billboard 200, but first to reach the top 10. She previously visited the list with KG0516 (No. 20 in 2021), Ocean (No. 54 in 2019) and Unstoppable (No. 192 in 2017). Preceding the release of the new album, Karol had logged five top 40-charting hit songs on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100, but with three of them coming in 2022: “Mamiii,” with Becky G (No. 15), “Provenza” (No. 25) and “Gatubela,” with Maldy (No. 37). Both “Mamiii” and “Provenza” became Karol’s first top 10-charting hits on the all-genre Streaming Songs chart, reaching Nos. 5 and 10, respectively. (Both “Provenza” and “Gatubela” are included on Mañana.)
SZA’s SOS falls to No. 2 after 10 nonconsecutive weeks atop the Billboard 200, earning nearly 87,000 equivalent album units (down less than 1%).
With Karol G’s Mañana replacing SZA’s SOS at No. 1, it’s the first time a woman has replaced another woman atop the list in over a year. It last happened when a trio of leading ladies traded off the top spot from Nov. 20, 2021-Dec. 4, 2021. Summer Walker’s Still Over It debuted at No. 1 on the on Nov. 20 chart, Taylor Swift’s Red (Taylor’s Version) then opened atop the list on Nov. 27, and Adele’s 30 bowed at No. 1 on the Dec. 4 chart.
Gorillaz score their sixth top 10-charting effort on the Billboard 200 as Cracker Island arrives at No. 3 with 64,500 equivalent album units earned. Of that sum, album sales comprise 48,500 (the top-selling album of the week, debuting at No. 1 on Top Album Sales), SEA units comprise 15,500 (equaling 20.39 million on-demand official streams of the set’s tracks) and TEA units comprise 500. The star-studded Cracker Island features guest turns from Bad Bunny, Beck, Bootie Brown, Stevie Nicks, Tame Impala and Thundercat, among others. The album was initially released on Feb. 24 as a 10-track standard edition across physical and streaming formats, along with an 11-track digital retail and streaming edition. On Feb. 27, a 15-track digital and streaming deluxe version was released, including bonus tunes with De La Soul and Del the Funky Homosapien.
Cracker Island was preceded by a pair of top 20-charting hits on the Alternative Airplay chart – the title track, featuring Thundercat (No. 2), and “New Gold,” featuring Tame Impala and Bootie Brown (with the latter rising to a new high of No. 16 on the most recently published chart, dated March 11).
Rapper Yeat logs his third top 10 on the Billboard 200 as AfterLyfe debuts at No. 4 with nearly 55,000 equivalent album units earned. Of that sum, SEA units comprise the vast majority – about 54,500 (equaling 78.42 million on-demand official streams of the set’s tracks).
Swift’s former No. 1 Midnights falls 3-5 with just over 48,000 equivalent album units (down 10%), Morgan Wallen’s chart-topping Dangerous: The Double Album dips 5-6 with nearly 46,000 units (up 5%) and Metro Boomin’s former leader Heroes & Villains falls 4-7 with 42,000 units (down 10%).
Don Toliver notches his third top 10 on the Billboard 200 as Love Sick starts at No. 8 with 40,500 equivalent album units earned. Of that sum, SEA units comprise 39,500 (equaling 51.23 million on-demand official streams of the set’s tracks), album sales comprise nearly 1,000 and TEA units comprise a negligible sum. The album was initially released as a 16-track standard set on Feb. 24. On Feb. 28, a deluxe edition of the album with four additional tracks (including one featuring Travis Scott) was released.
The Weeknd’s former No. 1 Starboy climbs back to the top 10 for the first time since 2017 (its release year), as the set steps 14-9 with just over 40,000 equivalent album units earned (up 73%). The album’s rise comes following the Feb. 24 release of a new Ariana Grande-assisted remix of the set’s revived hit single “Die for You.”
Bad Bunny’s chart-topping Un Verano Sin Ti rounds out the new top 10, falling 6-10 with 38,000 equivalent album units earned (down 5%).
Luminate, the independent data provider to the Billboard charts, completes a thorough review of all data submissions used in compiling the weekly chart rankings. Luminate reviews and authenticates data. In partnership with Billboard, data deemed suspicious or unverifiable is removed, using established criteria, before final chart calculations are made and published.
Morgan Wallen’s new album One Thing at a Time is off to a robust start in the United States. The country set’s 36 songs generated 101 million on-demand official audio streams in the U.S. on the album’s release day of March 3, according to initial reports to data tracking firm Luminate, whose information powers Billboard’s weekly charts.
For context, the largest U.S. streaming week for a country album is the first week of Taylor Swift’s Red (Taylor’s Version), which collected 303.23 million on-demand audio and video official streams for its 30 tracks (in its first week, ending Nov. 18, 2021). The second-largest streaming week for a country set is the debut frame of Wallen’s last album, Dangerous: The Double Album, which logged 240.18 million clicks for its 30 songs in its debut week, ending Jan. 14, 2021.
In addition, One Thing at a Time sold over 60,000 copies on its first day, mostly through digital album purchases. The set was issued only in three retail-available editions: a digital album (both clean and explicit) and a double-CD (explicit only). One Thing at a Time has yet to be released on vinyl, unlike Dangerous in its first week, when it sold 6,000 copies.
News of further initial sales and streaming-and-track-equivalent activity for One Thing at a Time, as provided by Luminate, will be reported in the coming days.
One Thing at a Time was preceded by the release of nine songs from the album, going back as far as April of 2022. Four of those tunes topped Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart: “Don’t Think Jesus,” “Thought You Should Know,” “You Proof” and “Last Night,” the lattermost of which has reigned for three weeks running (through the most recently published March 4-dated ranking).
One Thing at a Time is Wallen’s first album since Dangerous: The Double Album, which debuted atop both the Top Country Albums chart and the all-genre Billboard 200. On the former, it has spent a record-breaking 96 weeks at No. 1, while on the latter, it racked up 10 weeks (all consecutive) on top. It also has notched 108 nonconsecutive weeks in the top 10 on the Billboard 200 (through the most recently published list, dated March 4) – the most weeks in the region among any album by a single artist in the chart’s history.
Dangerous closed 2021 as the year-end No. 1 album on the Billboard 200, and the most popular album of the year in the U.S., as measured by equivalent album units by Luminate.
Luminate’s current tracking week ends at the close of business on Thursday, March 9. One Thing at a Time’s final first-week numbers are expected to be announced on Sunday, March 12, along with its debut position on the multimetric Billboard 200 albums chart (dated March 18). If One Thing at a Time debuts at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, it will mark Wallen’s second chart-topping set, following Dangerous.
The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S. based on multi-metric consumption as measured in equivalent album units, compiled by Luminate. Units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums (TEA) and streaming equivalent albums (SEA). Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album. Billboard‘s 2023 Women in Music Awards kicked off Women’s History Month on Wednesday evening (March 1) by bringing the best, brightest and baddest bosses in the music industry together.
This year’s extravaganza spread girl power and upbeat energy to every corner of the YouTube Theater at SoFi Stadium, from last year’s Woman of the Year recipient Olivia Rodrigo and this year’s Chartbreaker Award winner Kim Petras uniting with this year’s Breakthrough Award-winning act TWICE backstage to executives like Dina LaPolt, Mary Harrington and Angelique Jones showing off their fabulous pink suits at the cocktail reception.
SZA‘s mother and father watched their daughter and recent Billboard cover star receive the 2023 Woman of the Year honor, and they weren’t the only proud parents in the building. Doechii‘s mother introduced her daughter before giving her the Rising Star Award presented by Honda. Bad Bunny made a surprise appearance to present Ivy Queen with the Icon Award. Other honorees included Impact Award winner Becky G, Rulebreaker Award winner Lainey Wilson, Powerhouse Award Latto, Visionary Award winner Lana Del Rey and Rosalía, who received our inaugural Producer of the Year Award presented by Bose. Epic Records CEO/chairwoman Sylvia Rhone received the 2023 Executive of the Year Award. Meanwhile, Sabrina Carpenter, Dove Cameron, Chloe Bailey, Coi Leray and Wondagurl were on hand as presenters.
Petras, Wilson, Becky G, Doechii, TWICE and Latto with “Lottery” collaborator LU KALA also took to the stage to perform during this year’s ceremony, which was hosted by Emmy-winning Abbott Elementary actress and writer Quinta Brunson.
