Bebe Rexha Calls Out G-Eazy | Billboard News

Bebe Rexha calls out G-Eazy in a now-deleted Instagram Story after he asked her team to shoot content with him. Keep watching for more.

Tetris Kelly:

Bebe Rexha calls out G-Eazy in a now-deleted post, but she said what she said. Bebe Rexha hopped on IG to respond to texts she received asking her to make content with G-Eazy since their 2015 hit “Me, Myself and I” is seeing a resurgence. Bebe posted a screenshot of the text with the caption “G-Eazy you have my number. Why don’t you text me and ask me yourself you ungrateful loser.” She also says she could expose the bad things he’s done and how he treated her after she gave him, quote, “your only real hit.” “Me, Myself & I” is G-Eazy’s first of his two top 10 hits on the Billboard Hot 100. Bebe eventually deleted the post because she said it was negative and toxic. Plus, she said her team made her take it down, tweeting, “Sometimes trauma can lead us to react that way, and that period of my life was traumatizing. I am writing this because I regret taking it down. And I want to say that I still stand by what I said.” Bebe also retweeted a photo with the caption, “Bebe Rexha and Halsey talking about how they carried G-Eazy’s career.” G-Eazy and his ex Halsey’s song “Him & I” is his third-highest-charting song on the Hot 100. G -Eazy posted about his album release party and upcoming tour, but not a response to Bebe’s posts. We’ve reached out to both of their teams for comment.

Normani drops her long-awaited debut album ‘Dopamine,’ TWICE’S NAYEON releases her new single “ABCD,” Tove Lo & SJ Lewis ‘Heat’ up this Friday with their new EP and more!

Tetris Kelly:

The ladies are taking it this week. Taking us to the club, to the bar and to the streets. It’s Friday, June 14th, and this is your Friday Music Guide. At long last, Normani’s ‘Dopamine’ is here. Tanner Adell gets things twisted for the ‘Twisters’ movie. Showing us just how easy it can be, TWICE’s NAYEON gives us a lesson with “ABCD.” And she’s described her second solo EP as more mature. Tove Lo & SG Lewis’ new EP is definitely Rated M for Mature. ‘Heat’s’ title track is a sweaty club banger. And our final track of the day belongs to Bree Runway. She does it “JUST LIKE THAT” with her first submission as an indie artist.

Bush’s Gavin Rossdale Opens Up About ‘Loaded: The Greatest Hits Tour,’ Top Hits & More | Billboard News

Gavin Rossdale of Bush sits down to share the band’s newest album, ‘Loaded: The Greatest Hits 1994–2023,’ along with their latest single, “Nowhere To Go But Everywhere.” Gavin discusses the importance of audience interaction and explains why he designs his tours around that concept. He also shares stories about some of Bush’s No. 1 hits, including “The Sound of Winter,” “Comedown,” and more!

Gavin Rossdale:

I had shirt envy. I felt I was not prepared to be interviewed by you I was like hot dang, I’ve got way cool shirts, I could’ve been in the running with you. Hey, it’s Gavin from Bush, you’re watching Billboard News.

Tetris Kelly:

‘Loaded: The Greatest Hits’ came out last year and now you’re about to tour the project, celebrating 30 years of hits. How does it feel to have all that under your belt?

Gavin Rossdale:

I’m gonna leave here today and go to the studio to work on more for the next record. So I just keep thinking forward. I mean, I don’t-

Tetris Kelly:

It never stops, huh.

Gavin Rossdale:

It is a painful, torturous process like, oh my god, what am I doing? I can’t do it. This last song I did was the best song I wrote. Now, what am I going to do? And then you just sort of forge forward and you find it and you now so this week, I’m reaping the rewards of last week’s writing and working in the studio when I leave here. So I like to live in the moment. And I think also it’s the English thing, right? You asked about 30 years, if I think about the hits that we’ve had over 30 years, it’s not English to think about that too much as more English to kind of keep moving and just like carry on as keep on. Weirdly doing it, has made me think about it more than I ever did.

“Very happy to debut on the Billboard charts with this album that we love very much, and I am especially surprised with the results it is having,” León tells Billboard. “I am delighted to be able to show a little more of the music that we have and that we carry in our hearts.”

Trending on Billboard

On Top Latin Albums and Regional Mexican Albums, units comprise album sales, track equivalent albums [TEA] and streaming equivalent albums [SEA]. Each unit equals one album sale, or 10 individual tracks sold from an album, or 3,750 ad-supported or 1,250 paid/subscription on-demand official audio and video streams generated by songs from an album.

Boca Chueca, Vol. 1’s first week sum is driven almost entirely by streaming activity. That figure equals 12.05 million official on-demand audio and video streams for the album’s songs this week, while a negligible amount of activity comes from album sales and track-equivalent units.

With Boca Chueca, the Mexican singer-songwriter mirrors his best showing to date on both charts: his fourth studio album follows 2023’s Colmillo De Leche, which reached an equal No. 8 and No. 5 high on Top Latin Albums and Regional Mexican Albums charts, respectively.

Elsewhere, León outdoes his previous showing on the all-genre Billboard 200, where Boca Chueca debuts at No. 169, surpassing the No. 184 peak of Colmillo.

On Billboard’s songs charts the set was preceded by one song on the multi-metric Hot Latin Songs chart, which combines streaming data, airplay and digital sales: “The One (Per No Como Yo),” with Kane Brown, debuted and peaked at No. 29 on the March 16-dated list.

As the album launches, “Despidase Bien” debuts at No. 29 on the current tally mainly on the strength of streaming activity. The song logged 2.5 million official U.S. streams in the tracking week.

“I think the song that I identify with the most, a song that is a little risky but that feels great in our desire to make music, is ‘Despidase Bien,’ with its soulful nuances and gives a refresh to our type of R&B with its very regional lyrics and by mixing all these types of genres and sounds that are a big part of the project that is Carin León,” adds León.

Matty Healy Is Engaged, Dua Lipa Visits Jennie & More | Billboard News

Matty Healy is officially engaged to Gabriette Bechtel, Dua Lipa visits BLACKPINK’S Jennie while on vacation and more!

Tetris Kelly:

Matty Healy is off the market, Tinashe gets a collab request and Dua Lipa makes a surprise visit. Here’s three things you need to know today. Matty Healy is officially engaged. Gabriette broke the news that the 1975 frontman popped the question. Rumors of the couple dating surfaced back in September, and in April she confirmed they had been trying to meet in person for the past four years. Dang, is Taylor Swift down bad crying at the gym? Well, probably not because she has Travis now. So we’ll just say congrats, Matty. Tinashe’s got a real hit on her hands with “Nasty.” So much so it debuted at No. 90 on the Hot 100. And Azealia Banks, who has been critical of Tinashe in the past, wants to hop on a remix. She posted to her IG story saying she wants to “put a verse on that joint.” Two queens linking up to maximize their slay? I’m in. I’ve been a nasty girl, nasty, nasty. Dua Lipa has been jet-setting in true Dua Lipa fashion. She’s been touring all over Europe and took some time to support and reconnect with friends like Jennie of BLACKPINK. How about a live performance of “Kiss and Make Up”?

Tetris Kelly:

Jin from BTS is out of the Korean military, and all of his brothers are celebrating him as he prepares to celebrate with fans. I want a hug, too, Jin! Let’s run it down. Jin is the first member of the mega pop group BTS to be released from mandatory military service, and he was greeted in the most RM way ever, with the saxophone rendition of their song “Dynamite” from the group’s leader. V, Jung Kook, j-hope and Jimin were also there in the super sweet mini reunion. All seven united on Jin’s Weverse. I’m just overwhelmed. Jin has been super grateful for the outpouring of love from BTS’ Army, and he plans to show that love back. According to reports from Reuters and BBC, Jin is planning to celebrate his discharge with a hug-a-thon in Seoul, where he’s hugging over 1,000 fans that won a raffle. There are even plans for a solo show featuring song requests on the Weverse streaming platform. How lucky are they? Can you imagine when they’re all out? I can’t wait! But for now, welcome back, Jin!

Brian Kelley talks about his new album ‘Tennessee Truth,’ the terms that he and Tyler Hubbard are on after the Florida Georgia Line split and more!

Brian Kelley:

All I can say is really that we’re both, I think, finding our groove in the solo world and you never know what time can do.

Tetris Kelly:

Floria Georgia Line’s Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard may have gone their separate ways, but the door isn’t closed to an FGL reunion. As a fan, I’ve been enjoying it, obviously, because I get to hear new music from the both of you. But you know, we also know that what you guys went through and that you guys had differences and things like that. That’s no secret. Do you guys still talk?

Brian Kelley:

Man, you know, he’s reached out and congratulated me and, you know, we’ve chatted through some things. We both were obviously sad and definitely, you know, bummed out about FGL House closing. We both wanted that to continue as a real special piece of our legacy. So that one, we were both texting each other about that. But he just put out a record, my record just came out. And so I know, we’re both probably, I know, I’m flying by the seat of our pants and just, you know, he always has my well wishes, I want him to crush it. I expect nothing less than for him to do that, you know. And so, man, we’re just both out here giving it hell, you know, trying to just chase these dreams and we’ll see where, where they bring us back to.

Keep watching for more!
