Stephen A. Smith has the reputation of being a fiery commentator from his years at the top of the sports talk show world, and now it looks like he’s got beef in that arena. In a new video, Stephen A. Smith took heavy shots toward fellow sports journalism and reported MAGA enthusiast Jason Whitlock which has X reacting.
Smith, 56, published a new episode of his The Stephen A. Smith Show framed as a response to Jason Whitlock. It appears that the beef has been brewing for a while after Whitlock claimed that Smith’s memoir, Straight Shooter: A Memoir of Second Chances and First Takes, was nothing but a bunch of tall tales.
As is Whitlock’s typical tactic, the sports commentator known for his outsized right-wing takes and harsh critique of Black people never ducks an opportunity to use his platforms to take shots. According to people who have observed this behavior over time, they’ve said that Whitlock is fishing for a reaction and an attempt to gain momentum for his various endeavors.
Whitlock responded on X, writing, “Stephen A Smith, the self-proclaimed face of ESPN, embarrassed himself and ESPN last night. He vows to never say my name again. No problem. He doesn’t have to say my name to explain the hard-to-believe stories in his “memoir.” Amazed seemingly no media outlet in the country is interested in why the face of ESPN tells so many farfetched stories about himself in a book. Make it make sense.”
Well, it appears that Smith has had enough. In the latest episode of his podcast, he opened up the show by saying that while there were several topics in the sports world to get into, it was time for him to fire back at Whitlock, whom he referred to as a “fat b*stard” and a “piece of sh*t” in the opening segment.
It is an explosive and intense display of anger, irritation, and frustration that is starting to buzz heavily on social media. As a result, fans on X, formerly Twitter, are chiming in with their thoughts complete with the requisite jokes and such.
We’ve got all the reactions to Stephen A. Smith banging it on Jason Whitlock below.

Joe Budden is no stranger to attracting controversy, especially after his ascension as one of the top podcasters in entertainment media. After Joe Budden critiqued the music and talent of NBA YoungBoy, which prompted a fiery response, the retired rapper apologized for the jab.
It has been a month of apologies for Joe Budden, this after he called Lupe Fiasco a “clout chaser” for rapping over one of Andre 3000’s songs from the Outkast rapper’s instrumental New Blue Sun album.

Because of the reach of Budden’s voice, his critiques typically find their way to the target. NBA YoungBoy was a topic on a recent episode of Budden’s eponymously named podcast where he called the Lousiana rapper “horrible” and didn’t understand how he’s got his streaming numbers as high as they’ve been.
NBA YoungBoy went on a fiery video rant, blasting Budden’s fame, and also took a shot at the rapper’s sexual prowess among other choice words. NBA also invited Budden to “Gravedigger Mountain,” which we can assume is the rapper’s residence in the mountains.
On the latest episode of The Joe Budden Podcast, Budden apologized to NBA around the 26-minute mark of the show, explaining that he listened back and didn’t like how he attacked the young rapper’s musical ability. Because Budden is typically masterful at the craft of podcasting, he joked around a bit in his response, but the apology didn’t lack sincerity.

DJ Akademiks is back in another public beef, this time with Saucy Santana, and the back-and-forth between the two has gotten a little toxic. Saucy Santana said something that seemingly got to DJ Akademiks, who appeared to hold back tears explaining that he was bothered by the beef.
As we explained in a story yesterday, DJ Akademiks attracted the ire of Saucy Santana after he blasted the City Girls’ latest album RAW during a stream. Santana, who is close to the group, more specifically group member Yung Miami, used a slur to describe how Ak seems to only go after women.
Both men exchanged slurs and insults with Ak inviting Santana to his headquarters to discuss things. Santana, using X, formerly Twitter, shot down the invitation and reportedly posted a video saying he would physically violate Ak.
In a new Rumble (or Twitch?) stream, Ak can be seen discussing Santana’s threat of assault and begins to say how much the jabs bothered him. As he’s speaking, Ak’s voice cracks and he can be seen choking back tears.
Ak begins by saying he doesn’t want to respond to Santana in a way that will get his popular stream canceled. Some viewers online are noting that Ak appears to be emotional because he can’t be homophobic in retaliation, while others believe it’s a matter of insecurity.
Either way, folks on X are sharing their opinions and thoughts about this explosive beef. We’ve got reactions from all sides below. We’ve also got the video in question below. Do be warned that there is explicit language in the clip so mind your surroundings.

DJ Akademiks is embroiled in a war of words with Saucy Santana that took a turn after the pair began slinging homophobic slurs towards each other. The beef stems from DJ Akademiks throwing shots at City Girls, and group member Yung Miami is a close friend of Saucy Santana.
It appears that the issue was sparked over the weekend after DJ Akademiks took to his Twitch stream to review the new City Girls album, RAW (an acronym for Real Ass Whores). Ak was no fan of the album, despite it landing on the Billboard 200 charts, and delivered his critique in a brash fashion as he’s known to do.

Catching wind of Ak’s review, Saucy Santana called the streamer the “f-word” slur over him attacking Yung Miami, the City Girls, and GloRilla, harping on the fact that Ak had a lot of smoke for women rappers.
Akademiks went on a signature rant during a Twitch stream and flung a number of homophobic slurs, including using a term that comes from Jamaican patois among other choice terms. Ak then invited Santana to his streaming headquarters for the pair to have it out, which Santana took as an invitation to throw hands.
GloRilla also got into the mix via X, formerly known as Twitter, sharing a reply that Santana requoted that some took as a shot at Ak before actually addressing the media figure by name.

We’re almost certain that this won’t be the last of this back-and-forth between DJ Akademiks and Saucy Santana.

Two of Atlanta’s biggest names have put their issues behind them. Gucci Mane and T.I. have settled their beef live on stage.

Complex is reporting that the two trappers turned rappers are now on better terms. On Tuesday, October 17 Guwop hosted a show in Atlanta to celebrate the release of his newest album Breath of Fresh Air. During the concert attendees were treated to surprise appearances from the likes of Latto, Quavo of The Migos, Key Glock and more. The most memorable moment was when Gucci Mane brought out T.I. and the two shook hands. The Grand Hustle CEO proceeded to perform his hit “24s” to the delight of the crowd while the self-proclaimed Trap God stepped back.

The two have not been on the best of terms since 2012 when Gucci Mane took exception to T.I.’s friendship with his then bitter rival Jeezy. He took some shots aimed at the Snowman on “The Truth” and later tweeted “No Disrespect to Clay but if Tip wanna get into it he can.” Years later they would disagree about who invented the Trap music genre. “Ok,so…. AGAIN for the slow ones in the back… August 19th,2003 Birth of Trap Muzik & Only fools dispute facts!!!” T.I. wrote at the time. “OH wit that Christopher Columbus ass… ‘Look what I discovered, even though they was already here ass sh*t!!!!’ WITCHO GOOD CAPPIN ASS.”

Joe Budden is no longer pursuing his rapping career but his formidable past as a lyricist still follows him as he continues to rise in the podcasting ranks. Via his eponymously named podcast, Joe Budden drew the ire of JR Writer, who returned sharp barbs in the direction of the retired artist turned broadcaster.
On episode 666 of The Joe Budden Podcast during the show’s ending segment “Sleepers” where the cast plays songs people may have missed or need to know about, QueenzFlip chose JR Writer’s track “Presidential” featuring fellow Dipset alum Hell Rell & 40 Cal. Budden, who didn’t enjoy the song, asked QueenFlip to cut off the track along with some choice words.

Writer caught wind of Budden’s jab and posted then deleted an Instagram Stories entry stating, “Joe Budden has never been a better Rapper than me in his life. His music run wasn’t better. His group run wasn’t better. His freestyle wasn’t better. And I rap better than he has ever rapped RIGHT NOW! Stop speaking on me.”
Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, Writer continued to fire shots at Budden’s rapping ability in a now-deleted post. Budden answered with, “Now JR……. You don’t even believe what you’re typing to me lol.”
JR Writer is more active on the music front than Joe Budden and continues to use social media to push new music with promises of new tunes — no word yet if anything will be aimed at his latest nemesis.

Drake is currently taking in all the kudos and critiques of his latest studio album, For All The Dogs, which dropped on Friday (October 7) after a spat of delays. Joe Budden, a noted fan of The Boy, had some harsh words for the latest drop, prompting Drizzy to unload the clip on Jumpoff via Instagram in epic fashion.
The rift between the pair began when DJ Akademiks shared a clip from The Joe Budden Podcast where the hosts were discussing For All The Dogs and who the target audience is. It appears that Budden and his co-hosts believe that Drake was attempting to cater to a younger generation instead of those in his late-30s age group. Always aware of where his name is mentioned, the Canadian superstar unloaded the clip as only he could.

From Akademiks’ IG:
You have failed at music. You left it behind to do what you are doing in this clip cause this is what actually pays your bills. For any artist watching this just remember you are watching a failure give their opinion on his idea of a recipe for success…a quitter give their opinion on how to achieve longevity…you switched careers cause the things that pop into your brain had you broke living cheque to cheque and the raps you write had 450 men showing up to your shows in dusty Enyce jeans to screw up their face to Mood Muzik 29 and pretend you are the goat…pls to any artist that’s doing what they feel is right don’t let these opinions affect your mindset after the fact…this guy is the poster child of frustration and surrendering. You retired and we never hung up your jersey we don’t even remember your number. We know you for doing this…you withdrew from rap not cause you accomplished all you need to it’s cause it wasn’t working for you. I never want anybody in the generations to think that the whole “everybody’s entitled to their opinion” is a real thing…this is a man projecting his own self hate and the fact I did and continue to do everything he wanted to do for himself. If you need it put in simpler terms I own a 767…he owns a modest house in the 973 and flies first class on special occasions.
Budden replied under the missive, writing, “You’ll grow up sooner or later…Father time is undefeated.”
Budden and Drake have a history of going back and forth with one another although, at a time, it was relegated to the music. An example is in the X reply below.

With Budden known as one of the top podcasters in the entertainment space, the New Jersey network chief has aired his grievances with Drake and his moves via his wildly popular program. In fact, he’s been very critical of Drizzy’s recent output while also praising him as one of his faves.
On X, formerly Twitter, fans are having a field day with this exchange and we’ve got the reactions from all sides below. A warning: there are some emotional responses down there. We hope they’re okay.

Tyrese found himself on the business end of sharp jabs from DJ Envy during a recent appearance on The Breakfast Club radio show. Now, Tyrese is firing back at the host, stating that he never disrespected Envy’s wife, although the plot just got a bit thicker after the singer’s latest shot.
By way of a lengthy Instagram video post, Tyrese opens up the chat to say that DJ Envy’s claims of him disrespecting his wife wouldn’t add up because he’s been around beautiful women all his life and has never crossed that line before.

For the backstory, Tyrese was a guest on The Breakfast Club last week when the singer was confronted by DJ Envy over being overly friendly with his wife. Envy also went on to say that Black Ty has a history of doing this with the spouses of those close to him according to a former assistant who claimed it happened to him as well.
Tyrese also went on to say that he was supportive of Envy and his wife Gia Casey during the couple’s public issues but that the same grace wasn’t extended to him and his relationship woes. However, one curious moment is Tyrese admitting that he sent Envy’s wife a photo of his new Rolls Royce vehicle.
Envy and Casey fired back at Tyrese’s claims of the host being a liar in the clip below. According to the videos below, Ty even made demands on her time, something you definitely can’t and shouldn’t do with someone’s romantic partner on any level.
