Selena Gomez recently let Benny Blanco do her makeup — and let’s just say his artistic capabilities in the studio don’t quite transfer over to the salon.
In a hilarious Instagram video posted Thursday (March 6), the Only Murders in the Building star gave her enthusiastic fiancé free reign over her Rare Beauty products to give her a makeover. Blanco didn’t inspire a lot of faith in Gomez at the outset — the producer knocked their camera to the floor during an attempt at pressed powder — but after some repositioning and dusting of his partner’s face, the “Lose You to Love Me” singer complimented, “That’s good, babe! Now I’m proud.”
Things took a turn again, however, when Blanco held up a pigmented liquid bronzer, making Gomez shut her eyes in fear as he asked, “What is this called? What am I contouring?”

“When you do it, it looks so good!” the “Eastside” musician griped as he tried and failed to blend far too much of the deep brown liquid into her skin, only managing to spread the color onto more of her face.
Several layers of liquid blush, highlighter and lip oil — and many grimaces from Gomez — later, Blanco got to a point where he was happy with his work. “I really think I’m onto something, like if I blend these two together,” he mused. “I think it looks pretty good. You look so hot.”
Going off the expression on Gomez’s face at the end, she didn’t exactly agree with him — but at least he had fun. In the comments, the official Rare Beauty account joked, “@bennyblanco you’re hired.”
Though Blanco may not be the best help to his fiancée beauty-wise, the pair did recently — and much more successfully — team up on an upcoming joint album titled I Said I Love You First. Arriving March 21, the 14-track project features previously released singles “Scared of Loving You” and “Call Me When You Break Up” featuring Gracie Abrams. Earlier this week, Gomez unveiled the rest of the project’s tracklist.
The couple first started dating in summer 2023, a year and a half after which Blanco proposed to the singer-actress. They announced their album on their second Valentine’s Day together, with Gomez later telling Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe that the project is “a little taste of what we are and how we made this together, and how much we loved it and how much we love each other.”
The SEVENTEEN star was announced as the brand ambassador for the skincare brand last year.

But the multi-disciplinary icon is also making waves with her Haus Labs beauty line, thanks to the release of a new mascara. The B Structural Volumizing + Lengthening Mascara is the latest product from Haus Labs by Lady Gaga, and has quickly become a top purchase on sites like Sephora, with reviewers praising the product for its easy-to-use wand and powerful formula.
NEW RELEASE
Haus Labs B Structural Volumizing and Lengthening Mascara
First released in January, Gaga’s mascara promises to help lengthen, nourish and hold your lashes for all-day wear. Haus Labs says that’s thanks to its new haircare-inspired B-Silk formula (a type of amino acid) that coats your lashes with bold color, flexible hold and buildable volume, while resisting smudging and fading for up to 12 hours. The addition of rice protein, meantime, helps to promote healthy, longer lashes.
Reviewers say the mascara goes on smooth and isn’t flaky or clumpy, with “nice lift and color” (as of now, the Haus Labs mascara is only available in a “Black Onyx” colorway). Shoppers also praise the product for its fullness in application — many say they saw a difference in just one coat. Haus Labs, meantime, says the mascara could increase your lash volume by as much as five-times their normal length. The company also says the B Structural Mascara is “ophthalmologist-tested, hypoallergenic, and safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.”
And while the formula goes on — and stays on — smoothly, reviewers say it’s easy to remove with a simple makeup wipe or cleanser. As Haus Labs posted on Instagram, shoppers agree that “the hype is real.”
You can find Lady Gaga’s B Structural Volumizing and Lengthening Mascara online now at Sephora and HausLabs.com. The company says one dollar from every purchase at Haus Labs goes to Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation, which promotes mental health awareness and resources for young people.

Just like McRae, we’ve personally been using the Hydro Boost moisturizer for years and it’s been a lifesaver for our sensitive skin, helping to restore balance and texture, while leaving a dewy (but not oily) complexion. Its small size makes it travel-friendly too, and the formula is great for using day and night. The 21-year-old McRae calls Neutrogena Hydro Boost her “must-have secret to juicy skin.”

“I’m thrilled to partner with Neutrogena – a brand I’ve trusted since I was young,” she says in a release. “What I love about this campaign is how real it feels. We’ve all been there—those moments where your brain just won’t stop spiraling, and the last thing you need is the overthinking messing up your skin. That’s why I’m obsessed with Hydro Boost,” she explains. “It keeps my skin hydrated and is the perfect reminder that skincare doesn’t have to be complicated to work.”

As the brand’s new Global Ambassador, Neutrogena says McRae will be featured in TV, social and digital campaigns to help promote their “Beauty to a Science” motto, which demonstrates the extensive dermatologist testing Neutrogena products go through before they hit store shelves. No stranger to being interviewed, McRae will appear in a campaign video alongside Neutrogena Global Innovation Partner, Dr. Muneeb Shah, to talk about how stress and overthinking can affect skin.
“By featuring Tate and her infectious energy, alongside Dr. Shah, whose expertise helped to make him the most followed dermatologist on social media, we’re bridging the gap between beauty and science, creating a powerful message for the next generation,” says Andrew Stanleick, Kenvue’s President of Skin Health & Beauty in North America, Europe, Middle East, and Africa. “With Neutrogena Hydro Boost, we’re redefining hydration and showing how skincare can empower you to feel your best every day.”

Ariana Grande is continuing to embrace her natural beauty despite jokingly shouting out Botox and Juvederm during her Rising Star acceptance speech Friday (Jan. 3) at the Palm Springs International Film Awards.
In a red-carpet interview with Entertainment Tonight, the singer-actress clarified that she was only kidding when, at one point in her speech, she quipped, “I never thought at the age of 31 I would be hearing the words ‘rising star’ again, so I wanted to start by thanking my two friends: Botox and Juvederm.”
“Oh my gosh, my joke,” Grande remarked to the outlet, laughing. “My bit.”
“I’m still clean, I’m still clean,” she then clarified in regards to the beauty treatments. “But when I start going again, I’ll let you know. I mean it. I really want to be transparent as a beauty founder, as the founder of R.E.M. Beauty — I think it’s important to have transparency.”
“I love it, I support it,” the “Yes, And?” singer added of fillers. “But I am still four years clean.”
Grande’s comments echo what she previously revealed to fans in a 2023 beauty secrets video with Vogue, saying at the time that she’d had a “ton” of lip filler and Botox injections over the years before stopping cold turkey in 2018. “For a long time, beauty was about hiding for me, and now I feel like maybe it’s not,” she said in the emotional clip. “It was just like, ‘Oh, I just want to see my well-earned cry lines and smile lines’ … These are just thoughts that I feel like we should be able to discuss when we’re talking about beauty secrets. F— it, let’s lay it all out there.”
The two-time Grammy winner earned the Palm Springs ceremony’s Rising Star honors thanks to her performance in Wicked, in which she stars as Glinda opposite Cynthia Erivo’s Elphaba. Grande was full of jokes at the award show, with the Victorious alum also comically faking like her trophy was too heavy for her to carry after accepting it from Jennifer Coolidge — something she also laughed about with ET.
“I was doing a bit on stage, but I’m scared people actually thought it weighed me down,” Grande said.
Two days after the Palm Springs International Film Awards, Wicked won cinematic and box office achievement at the 2025 Golden Globes.
