If you’re a fan of super-shiny lips and glittery eyeshadows that capture the light, the disco glam trend is for you.
This trend has been showing up everywhere from music videos and movies to red carpets and at music festivals — it’s even transcended from a nighttime trend to an around-the-clock option. Celebrity makeup artist Hannah Jaclyn created a stunning disco glam looks on Miley Cyrus in the past, similar to the one seen in her new “Something Beautiful” music video. We spoke with different makeup artists to find out how to create this look so you can try out the trend for yourself.
How to Create a Disco Lip Look
To create a more sheer but glitter-heavy look, Jaclyn starts with a lip oil that helped smooth the lips so that the base was hydrated and devoid of any flakiness or texture. From there, she uses Jouer’s lip topper, which is super shiny and incredibly long-lasting.

If you want even more depth and shine, Urban Decay’s head of global artistry Steve Kassajikian explains how to use eyeshadow on the lips. While it may seem odd, he suggests starting by setting your lips with a translucent setting powder before applying your favorite lipstick. “Then take a loose or pressed glitter eyeshadow and press it against the lips with your finger and finish it off with a gloss,” Kassajikian told Billboard. “For depth, you can line the lips as well to give the glitter a bit of dimension.”

Kassajikian notes that liquid lipsticks are often known for their long-lasting qualities, so they may be the best option for music festivals when you need real staying-power. Here are the products recommended by Jaclyn and Kassajikian.

How to Create a Disco Eye Look
Both Jaclyn and Kassajikian suggest applying a base layer to the lid, either a cream or liquid eyeshadow or a primer intended specifically for the lids. This not only helps the glitter pop, but it will help the shadows really stick and prevent fallouts. “You can also use a powder glitter first and then use a liquid glitter on top with a fluffy eyeshadow brush,” says Kassajikian.
From there, press powder shadows into the lid with your fingertip or a dense flat brush. If you’re partial to a brush, Kassajikian suggests spraying it with a setting spray before dipping it in the shadow. To further prevent fallouts, apply a layer of translucent setting powder under the eyes so that any glittery particles can be swept away with a brush. Kassajikian also notes that liquid eyeshadow formulas can be easier to use and more long-lasting. Here are product recommendations from both artists.
Jouer Cosmetics Crème Eyeshadow Stick
Jouer Paris Lights Eye Paints
Urban Decay 24/7 Glaze-On Shimmer Liquid Eyeshadow
Urban Decay All Nighter Waterproof Makeup Setting Spray

While hardcore Rihanna fans continue to patiently wait for new music from the bombshell from Barbados, Riri decided to get the internet in a frenzy, but it had absolutely nothing to do with a new track or album announcement.
On Tuesday (April 15), Rihanna had the internet buzzing when she announced her new Savage x Fenty Bridal collection complete with a photoshoot, featuring herself styling in some of the pieces set to release. Man did she stun! Rocking pink lingerie and a wedding veil, Rihanna demonstrates just how seductive her latest collection can be for any bride to be on her wedding night if they share the same physical dimensions as the 37-year-old superstar.
Naturally, her followers absolutely loved the look and flooded her comments section with praise and, well, thirst. So we wouldn’t be surprised if this collection flies off the digital shelves even if they aren’t engaged as they’ll be looking to make a visual impact on their partners in the near future.
That being said, this begs the question, could Rihanna be hinting at wedding bells for herself and her baby daddy, A$AP Rocky? What’s taking that man so long to put a ring on it? Seriously. Rihanna’s a classic beauty and she stood by his side during his gun trial throughout the proceedings. Lock it down already, bro!
Check out Rihanna’s Savage x Fenty Bridal collection, and let us know your thoughts about the look and photoshoot in the comments section below.

Selena Gomez recently let Benny Blanco do her makeup — and let’s just say his artistic capabilities in the studio don’t quite transfer over to the salon.
In a hilarious Instagram video posted Thursday (March 6), the Only Murders in the Building star gave her enthusiastic fiancé free reign over her Rare Beauty products to give her a makeover. Blanco didn’t inspire a lot of faith in Gomez at the outset — the producer knocked their camera to the floor during an attempt at pressed powder — but after some repositioning and dusting of his partner’s face, the “Lose You to Love Me” singer complimented, “That’s good, babe! Now I’m proud.”
Things took a turn again, however, when Blanco held up a pigmented liquid bronzer, making Gomez shut her eyes in fear as he asked, “What is this called? What am I contouring?”
Trending on Billboard
“When you do it, it looks so good!” the “Eastside” musician griped as he tried and failed to blend far too much of the deep brown liquid into her skin, only managing to spread the color onto more of her face.
Several layers of liquid blush, highlighter and lip oil — and many grimaces from Gomez — later, Blanco got to a point where he was happy with his work. “I really think I’m onto something, like if I blend these two together,” he mused. “I think it looks pretty good. You look so hot.”
Going off the expression on Gomez’s face at the end, she didn’t exactly agree with him — but at least he had fun. In the comments, the official Rare Beauty account joked, “@bennyblanco you’re hired.”
Though Blanco may not be the best help to his fiancée beauty-wise, the pair did recently — and much more successfully — team up on an upcoming joint album titled I Said I Love You First. Arriving March 21, the 14-track project features previously released singles “Scared of Loving You” and “Call Me When You Break Up” featuring Gracie Abrams. Earlier this week, Gomez unveiled the rest of the project’s tracklist.
The couple first started dating in summer 2023, a year and a half after which Blanco proposed to the singer-actress. They announced their album on their second Valentine’s Day together, with Gomez later telling Apple Music 1’s Zane Lowe that the project is “a little taste of what we are and how we made this together, and how much we loved it and how much we love each other.”
The SEVENTEEN star was announced as the brand ambassador for the skincare brand last year.

But the multi-disciplinary icon is also making waves with her Haus Labs beauty line, thanks to the release of a new mascara. The B Structural Volumizing + Lengthening Mascara is the latest product from Haus Labs by Lady Gaga, and has quickly become a top purchase on sites like Sephora, with reviewers praising the product for its easy-to-use wand and powerful formula.
NEW RELEASE
Haus Labs B Structural Volumizing and Lengthening Mascara
First released in January, Gaga’s mascara promises to help lengthen, nourish and hold your lashes for all-day wear. Haus Labs says that’s thanks to its new haircare-inspired B-Silk formula (a type of amino acid) that coats your lashes with bold color, flexible hold and buildable volume, while resisting smudging and fading for up to 12 hours. The addition of rice protein, meantime, helps to promote healthy, longer lashes.
Reviewers say the mascara goes on smooth and isn’t flaky or clumpy, with “nice lift and color” (as of now, the Haus Labs mascara is only available in a “Black Onyx” colorway). Shoppers also praise the product for its fullness in application — many say they saw a difference in just one coat. Haus Labs, meantime, says the mascara could increase your lash volume by as much as five-times their normal length. The company also says the B Structural Mascara is “ophthalmologist-tested, hypoallergenic, and safe for sensitive eyes and contact lens wearers.”
And while the formula goes on — and stays on — smoothly, reviewers say it’s easy to remove with a simple makeup wipe or cleanser. As Haus Labs posted on Instagram, shoppers agree that “the hype is real.”
You can find Lady Gaga’s B Structural Volumizing and Lengthening Mascara online now at Sephora and HausLabs.com. The company says one dollar from every purchase at Haus Labs goes to Lady Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation, which promotes mental health awareness and resources for young people.
