No, they’re not reuniting, and a tour is off the cards, but Oasis will celebrate the 30th anniversary of their debut album with a deluxe edition.
The Britpop-era Manchester rock heavyweights will release the special, expanded editions of Definitely Maybe on Aug. 31, featuring “unheard” versions from Monnow Valley Studio, near Rockfield, versions and outtakes from Sawmills Studios in Cornwall, where the LP was re-recorded.
The collection will be available on deluxe 4xLP, 2xCD, colored vinyl, cassette and digitally with new artwork and sleeve notes, reads a statement.

Discovered and signed by Creator Records founder Alan McGee, Oasis went on to become one of the most successful bands to emerge from the U.K., amassing eight No. 1 album, including all seven studio recordings. Definitely Maybe, with its top 40 hits “Supersonic,” “Shakermaker,” Cigarettes & Alcohol,” and the all-time classic “Live Forever,” was the album that started it all. The recording spent just one week at the chart summit, but has logged 541 weeks on the tally — and counting.

By the time Oasis dropped their third album, Be Here Now, the band was virtually untouchable in their homeland. That LP broke sales records following its release in 1997, shifting 696,000 units in just three days, and 813,000 across its first full week.
Oasis is no longer an active group due to ongoing friction between the Gallagher brothers, Noel and Liam, though their legacy was recognized with a nomination for the Rock Hall class of 2024.
Long-suffering fans got a taste of what they were missing with the 2021 live recording of Oasis’ legendary Knebworth Festival concerts, presented on Aug. 10–11, 1996. Knebworth 1996 opened at No. 4 on the Official U.K. Albums Chart, and was accompanied by a documentary film, directed by Jake Scott.
Dolly Parton is virtually coming to a concert hall near you.
The Rock Hall-inducted country legend isn’t backing down on her decision to quit full-scale touring, though she has green-lit a new, traveling experience that will take her music around the world.
Dolly Parton’s Threads: My Songs in Symphony is said to be an “innovative multimedia experience” featuring Dolly on screen, and giving audiences a “visual-musical journey of her songs, her life, and her stories.”

That project will get underway Thursday, March 20, 2025 at Schermerhorn Symphony Center, with the Nashville Symphony. Guest vocalists and musicians selected by Parton will perform at that show, and others. Schirmer Theatrical and Sony Music Publishing are co-producers, and more cities with local orchestras will be announced in due course.
Expect to hear the classics “Jolene,” “Coat Of Many Colors,” and “I Will Always Love You,” plus Dolly’s “personal favorites” and an as-yet unreleased selection from her upcoming Broadway musical.

Parton, now 78, isn’t slowing down with her lineup of recordings, book release and projects for the small and big screen, though in 2022, she revealed that full-fledged touring was a thing of the past. “I do not think I will ever tour again, but I do know I’ll do special shows here and there, now and then. Maybe do a long weekend of shows, or just a few shows at a festival. But I have no intention of going on a full-blown tour anymore,” Parton told the Pollstar. (Billboard independently verified the news.)
Parton’s most recent tour was her 2016 Pure & Simple Tour, which included 60 shows in the United States and Canada.
Before Dolly Parton’s Threads hits the road, the country icon will release Good Lookin’ Cookin’ on Sept. 17, a cookbook on which she’s partnered with her sister, Rachel Parton George.
Dolly’s 49th solo studio album Rockstar blasted in at No. 1 on Billboard’s Top Album Sales chart last year, for her first leader on the 32-year-old tally. The star-studded collection was promoted as Parton’s first rock album, and its recording was inspired by Parton’s induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2022. The 30-track collection also debuted at a career-high No. 3 on the all-genre Billboard 200, surpassing Parton’s previous high of No. 6 for 2014’s Blue Smoke.

“I was so proud of you at the ACMs the other night,” McEntire continued, “and I couldn’t be more proud to be the one that helps you continue to bridge the gap between our generations, and keep them all going.” Wilson will be elevated into the Opry during a ceremony in Nashville on June 7.

Wilson, a Record Breaker Award at Billboard‘s Country Power Players, has been carving out her own path in country music in recent years.
“Save Me,” her duet with Jelly Roll, reached No. 1 on Billboard’s Country Airplay chart in December, soon after her coming-of-age song “Watermelon Moonshine” had summited the list — for the shortest stint between No. 1s for a female artist in the chart’s 34-year history.
“Watermelon Moonshine” nabbed both the Academy of Country Music (ACM) and Country Music Association Awards for album of the year, as well as the Grammy for best country album — only the ninth record ever to complete that trifecta. And at November’s CMA Awards, Wilson became the first woman to win entertainer of the year since Taylor Swift in 2011 and the first artist since Garth Brooks in 1991 to win best new artist one year and entertainer of the year the next.
The good times keep on rolling when Wilson opens her Bell Bottoms Up Bar, located at 120 South 3rd Ave., on May 31. The same day, the rising star launches her Country’s Cool Again Tour with two headlining shows at Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater.
Sabrina Carpenter’s “Espresso” (Island) continues to perk in the U.K., where the U.S. singer and actor’s pop hit leads the midweek chart. The announcement of Worton’s career pivot was made during the 31st Asia Pacific Venue Industry Congress held at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC). According to organizers, this year’s edition welcomes 554 registered attendees, a new record, for a program running across 23 sessions and featuring 79 speakers.
During the VMA Awards on Tuesday night (May 21), celebrating the final evening of the confab, Worton was presented with the trade body’s 12th honorary lifetime membership.
Worton joined the VMA as a member in 1994, a year after the establishment of the association, and served on its board from 1997-2003, and was the association’s president during the period from January 2001 to May 2003. In 2022, the VMA’s council created an category in his honor, the Tim Worton Award for excellence in the area of education, becoming its first recipient.
Reflecting on his career, Worton says, “helping to ensure there is plenty of live content and the company’s arena network is operationally and financially successful is a key part of my role. What I have loved most about my career is supporting and mentoring colleagues, helping to create opportunities for future development.”
The 2024 Congress marked Worton’s 30th consecutive, and final, in attendance.

For the first time, two songs have at least 70 million official U.S. streams in a single chart week.
Post Malone’s “I Had Some Help,” featuring Morgan Wallen, earned 76.4 million in the May 10-16 tracking week, according to Luminate. The same frame, Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” tallies its second week of 70 million-plus streams, with 72 million, a 2% jump from 70.9 million in the May 3-9 frame.
As a result, “I Had Some Help” debuts at No. 1 on Billboard‘s Streaming Songs chart dated May 25, pushing “Not Like Us” down to No. 2.

That’s the first time two songs have had at least 70 million weekly official U.S. streams since Billboard incorporated streaming data into its charts, with the Streaming Songs tally beginning in 2013. The closest any week had previously come was on the Aug. 22, 2020, survey, when Cardi B’s “WAP,” featuring Megan Thee Stallion, reigned via 93 million streams, followed by Drake’s “Laugh Now Cry Later,” featuring Lil Durk, with 69.8 million.

And that’s before one brings Tommy Richman’s “Million Dollar Baby,” the May 25 Streaming Songs chart’s No. 3 song, into the equation. It ranks with 66.3 million streams, up 14%. You can probably see where this is going: the May 25 rundown is the first time three songs have accrued 60 million streams or more in a single week.
“I Had Some Help” reigns in its first week, having been released May 10. It’s Post Malone’s fourth No. 1 on Streaming Songs and second in a row, following his rule as a featured artist on Taylor Swift’s “Fortnight” earlier in May. His other No. 1s were “Rockstar,” featuring 21 Savage, in 2017 and “Sunflower (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse),” billed as a co-lead with Swae Lee, in 2019.
Wallen, meanwhile, boasts his second No. 1, following a long rule for “Last Night” last year. As “Last Night” rose to No. 1 rather than debuting there, “I Had Some Help” becomes his first entry to premiere atop Streaming Songs.
Lamar’s “Not Like Us” achieves an additional distinction of being the first song in the chart’s history to actually rise in streams after first accruing 70 million since chart calculations began including only official streaming content in September 2020. That said, Lamar’s first week (May 3-9) was with a partial week of data, as “Not Like Us” was released May 4.
Going back to that week in September 2020, the new May 25, 2024, chart contains three of the seven biggest streaming weeks since. “I Had Some Help” is the biggest, while “Not Like Us” achieves the fourth largest in its latest frame, while “Million Dollar Baby” boasts the seventh largest.
Biggest Streaming Weeks Since Sept. 19, 2020:
“I Had Some Help,’ Post Malone feat. Morgan Wallen, 76.4 million (May 25, 2024)
“Fortnight,” Taylor Swift feat. Post Malone, 76.2 million (May 4, 2024)
“Drivers License,” Olivia Rodrigo, 76.1 million (Jan. 23, 2021)
“Not Like Us,” Kendrick Lamar, 72 million (May 25, 2024)
“Not Like Us,” Kendrick Lamar, 70.9 million (May 18, 2024)
“Way 2 Sexy,” Drake feat. Future & Young Thug, 67.3 million (Sept. 18, 2021)
“Million Dollar Baby,” Tommy Richman, 66.3 million (May 25, 2024)
“Good 4 U,” Olivia Rodrigo, 62.7 million (June 5, 2021)
“Flowers,” Miley Cyrus, 59.8 million (Feb. 4, 2023)
“Anti-Hero,” Taylor Swift, 59.7 million (Nov. 5, 2022)
Of the above, all were the No. 1 songs of the week on the Streaming Songs chart, aside from “Not Like Us” and “Million Dollar Baby” via the May 25 chart.
Concurrently, as previously reported, “I Had Some Help” reigns on the multimetric Billboard Hot 100, followed by “Not Like Us” and “Million Dollar Baby” at Nos. 2 and 3, respectively.
