If the album holds its lead, it would mark the band’s third U.K. No. 1 overall and their first since 2006. Their previous chart-topping albums in the U.K. include Eyes Open (2006) and Final Straw (2003).
The Forest Is The Path is the first album from Snow Patrol – which consists of Gary Lightbody, Johnny McDaid and Nathan Connolly – since their 2018 release Wildness, which peaked at No. 2 on the U.K. Official Albums Chart. This comeback record, their eighth studio album, signals a return to the top after nearly two decades.

Close behind in the race for No. 1 in the latest chart blast is London Grammar’s The Greatest Love, currently holding at No. 2. The album is poised to become the trio’s fourth Top 10 U.K. album, with two previous No. 1s, Truth is a Beautiful Thing (2017) and Californian Soil (2021).
Meanwhile, Eminem’s The Death of Slim Shady (Coup De Grâce) is making a significant rebound, moving up to No. 3 in the midweek chart following its Expanded Mourner’s Edition release. The record, which spent three weeks at No. 1 earlier this summer, is heading for its sixth week inside the Top 10.
Welsh rock band Catfish and the Bottlemen are celebrating 10 years of their debut album The Balcony, and its anniversary reissue is set to push the record to its highest-ever peak of No. 9, potentially surpassing its original 2014 peak of No. 10.
Finally, Nilüfer Yanya’s My Method Actor is on track to become her first-ever Top 40 album, currently sitting at No. 17, marking a major breakout moment for the London-based indie-rock artist.
With a few days left until the final U.K. Official Albums Chart results are revealed on Friday, all eyes are on Snow Patrol as they eye off the top spot for the first time in 18 years.

Tito was an integral part of the Jackson family’s musical dynasty. He, along with his brothers Michael, Jermaine, Marlon, and Jackie, formed The Jackson 5 in the 1960s. They were later inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 1997.
Beyond his work with The Jackson 5, Tito pursued a solo career, releasing his debut album Tito Time in 2016. His single “Get It Baby” reached No. 19 on the Billboard Adult R&B Airplay chart.
Amid the news, Tito’s sons TJ, Taj, and Taryll have taken to Instagram to share their grief and confirm the devastating news with a heartfelt message:
“It’s with heavy hearts that we announce that our beloved father, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer Tito Jackson is no longer with us. We are shocked, saddened, and heartbroken. Our father was an incredible man who cared about everyone and their well-being.
“Some of you may know him as Tito Jackson from the legendary Jackson 5, some may know him as ‘Coach Tito’ or some know him as ‘Poppa T.’ Nevertheless, he will be missed tremendously. It will forever be ‘Tito Time’ for us. Please remember to do what our father always preached and that is ‘Love One Another.’ We love you Pops.”
They concluded with, “Your boys, Taj, Taryll, and TJ.”
Jonathan ‘Sugarfoot’ Moffett, a former drummer for the Jackson 5, also expressed his profound sadness on Facebook:
“There is great, great sadness in my heart, spirit, and soul tonight… I’m stunned and devastated to receive and hear this disheartening news. I love Tito like my brothers of blood relation… My thoughts are with my nephews in heart and spirit, 3T, and all his grandchildren. I love you all VERY much. You are my second family.”
Moffett continued, sharing his love and support for the Jackson family, including Tito’s mother Katherine Jackson: “Dear mother, I love you dearly. I love you, Tito Jackson, my brother… forever, still.”
The Jackson family is no stranger to tragedy, having previously lost Tito’s younger brother Michael Jackson in 2009, and their father, Joe Jackson, who passed in 2018 at age 89.
Just days before his death, Tito posted a message on social media from Munich, Germany, where he visited a memorial to Michael with his brothers. He wrote: “Before our show in Munich, my brothers Jackie, Marlon, and I, visited the beautiful memorial dedicated to our beloved brother, Michael Jackson.
“We’re deeply grateful for this special place that honours not only his memory but also our shared legacy. Thank you for keeping his spirit alive.”
As the world continues to process this loss, more tributes from fans and peers in the music industry are expected to come in, celebrating Tito’s life and legacy as both a musical icon and beloved family man.

Born Toriano Adaryll Jackson on October 15, 1953, in Gary, Indiana, Tito was an integral part of the Jackson family’s musical dynasty. He, along with his brothers Michael, Jermaine, Marlon, and Jackie, formed The Jackson 5 in the 1960s.

Tito’s rhythm guitar work and the harmonies of his brothers helped the group achieve meteoric success, culminating in their signing to Motown Records in 1968. Their debut single, “I Want You Back,” became an instant sensation, reaching No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, as did their subsequent hits “ABC” and “I’ll Be There.”
While his younger brother Michael often dominated the spotlight, Tito’s steady presence as a musician and performer was crucial to the band’s success. The Jackson 5’s debut album, Diana Ross Presents The Jackson 5 (1969), marked the beginning of their chart-topping career, with numerous tracks from that era becoming cultural staples.
In the 1970s, the group rebranded as The Jacksons after leaving Motown. Tito continued to perform and tour with his brothers through the 1980s, contributing to albums like Destiny and Triumph, both of which saw significant success on the Billboard 200 and R&B charts.
Beyond his work with The Jackson 5, Tito pursued a solo career, releasing his debut album Tito Time in 2016. His single “Get It Baby” reached No. 19 on the Billboard Adult R&B Songs chart.
Tito’s passing follows the deaths of his younger brother Michael Jackson in 2009 and their father Joe Jackson, the family patriarch and early manager of The Jackson 5, who passed away in 2018 at the age of 89. Michael’s sudden death in 2009 from acute propofol intoxication shocked the world, and his legacy as the King of Pop remains an indelible part of music history.
Tito is survived by his three sons, Taj, Taryll, and TJ, who formed their own musical group, 3T, and by his numerous grandchildren. His ex-wife Delores “Dee Dee” Martes passed away in 1994.

What’s going on, guys? This is Beat by Beat. I’m Mike Saponara here with Billboard. We have the great Lil Tecca. Tecc, talk to the people — how are we feeling?
Feeling good. I’m about to drop Plan A with my guy, Mike.
Hey, yeah, we’re looking forward to that. Take us back. When did that world start to take form for you?
I honestly got the name Plan A when I was about to finish Tec, my last album.
OK.
I didn’t really know what I wanted to call the next one. So when it was kind of time to decide the name for this album, I had a couple mines, couple names in my head, but I just remembered, like I was thinking about Plan A.
Plan A. There’s no Plan B.
Going Plan A.
Word. Where do you do most of your recording, I guess. How was the creative process for that?
For this album, we recorded most of it in Miami. I was just in the studio everyday with, like, money and ties and all of them. There was a couple songs that I did in New York and also in my crib, too.
Did you produce a lot of this album?
I didn’t produce a lot of it, but definitely my beat selection is what drives a lot of the production,
Right, right.
Keep watching for more!
With the announcement of Charli XCX’s Brat remix album, Troye Sivan leads the way with his remix with her on “Talk Talk.” Watch what he had to say about making the remixed single, out now!
Stay tuned for the full Troye Sivan interview, coming soon!
Troye Sivan: We’ve come out with something that I really, really love, like, it slaps I think.
Why was “Talk Talk” the song that you guys felt like was right for your remix?
She did the whole remix album, so there’s, like, a remix for every song, and she chose me for “Talk talk.” When she was first working on Brat, she sent me “Talk Talk” and I loved it, obviously. And it was really cool, though, because what she’s done with this remix album is, like, it can be … Some of the remixes are kind of a more maybe traditional feature, where the person has come on and just, you know, is on the second verse, kind of like doing the same melody, but maybe changing some lyrics, but, you know, kind of like that vibe.
What she said as well, though, was that she wanted some of the songs to … She’s just like, “I don’t care if you use one word from the original, it can be a completely new song. But use, use ‘Talk Talk’ as, like, you know, a seed for a song.” Essentially, we sampled “Talk Talk” and created an entirely new pop song out of it. Because I said to her, “If it’s a remix, is this like a, like a six-minute long, like, club song? Or is this like a pop song?” And she was like, “No, it’s a pop song.” I’m like, “OK, cool.”
I had so much fun, kind of, like, taking the scissors to the song that I really, really love, and getting to, kind of, like, chop it and change it and whatever. And we brought in kind of, like, the rush team, and worked on it, and then sent it back to Charli, and Charli did her thing, sent it back to me. It was just kind of like this really fun collaborative process, and we’ve come out with something that I really, really love, it, like, slaps I think, yeah.
Missy Higgins is back on top with The Second Act (via Eleven/EMI), which debuts at No. 1 on Australia’s albums chart.

Her sophomore set On A Clear Night (from 2007) and third collection The Ol’ Razzle Dazzle (2012) also led the chart, while Oz (2014), Solastalgia (2018) and Total Control (2022) all cracked the top 3.
“I could not be happier or more grateful. This album was just so important to me and I just want to say a massive thank you to all the fans. I’m so touched,” she comments, as her album hits the ARIA Chart summit. “I wanted this No. 1 more than any other album I think. It’s 20 years since The Sound of White went No. 1 so I feel like the luckiest person alive to still be doing what I do to this day. Thank you guys to much. This means the world to me.”

With that feat, the Melbourne singer and songwriter becomes only the seventh Australian artist in history to have No. 1 albums in at least three consecutive decades.
The Second Act is the fifth homegrown album to hit No. 1 in the past month, a lineup that includes recordings by Lime Cordiale, Tones And I, Amy Shark and Cold Chisel.
Higgins will be inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame, during the annual ARIA Awards, set for Nov. 20 at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion.
Also new to the national chart is Ten Days (Atlantic/Warner), by prolific British electronic music producer Fred Again. That’s one better than USB from June this year, which peaked at No. 4. Earlier in 2024, Fred Again embarked on unique tour of Australia – a “pop-up” jaunt, which sold almost one quarter of a million tickets, without any marketing spend.
Further down the tally, legendary Pink Floyd guitarist David Gilmour lands at No. 6 with Luck and Strange (Leg/Sony), his fifth solo album.
It’s the followup to Rattle That Lock, which reached No. 2 in 2015. As a member of Pink Floyd, ARIA reports, he notched 20 ARIA Top 50 albums, including leaders with Wish You Were Here (in 1975), The Wall (1979), The Division Bell (1994) and Pulse (1995).As a member of Pink Floyd, he has racked up 20 top 50 albums, hitting the summit with Wish You Were Here in 1975, The Wall in 1979, The Division Bell in 1994 and Pulse in 1995 (their biggest-selling collection, The Dark Side Of The Moon, reached at No. 2 here in 1973).
Over on the ARIA Singles Chart, Sabrina Carpenter’s “Taste” (Island/Universal) holds top spot ahead of Billie Eilish’s “Birds Of A Feather” (Interscope/Universal) and Lady Gaga’s collaboration with Bruno Mars, “Die With A Smile” (Warner/Universal), respectively.

Taylor Swift has once again surprised fans by dropping the Dombresky remix of her track “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart” today (Sept. 13).
It’s been a whirlwind week for Swift, who not only endorsed Kamala Harris for the 2024 presidential election but also won seven awards at the 2024 VMAs, which were held at UBS Arena in New York on Wednesday (Sept. 11).
At the awards show on Wednesday, Swift scored Video of the Year award for “Fortnight,” a track from The Tortured Poets Department featuring Post Malone. This brings the singer-songwriter’s career total of Moonpersons to an even 30, which enables her to tie Beyoncé as the top winner in the show’s history.

The Tortured Poets Department has been an extraordinary commercial success, solidifying Swift’s reign on the Billboard charts. The album, which marks her 14th No. 1, ties her with Jay-Z for the most No. 1 albums by a solo artist. With only The Beatles ahead of her with 19 No. 1s, Swift continues to break records while exploring new creative territories.
Meanwhile “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart”, the album’s second single, opened and peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, peaked at No. 5 on the Billboard Global 200 chart, and placed within the top 10 in Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the Philippines, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
